Really nice hotel for a great price! Very polite and respectful

My experience at the Tower Pisa Hotel

Average experience. Because I was a tourist they taxed me but didn’t take advantage too much. The room was nice but I did have a stained towel and the door handle on the front of the door partially fell off . However, where the staff were very friendly, I chose to provide a slightly above average experience due to the service they provided.

Stayed there over the bank holiday weekend and had really good time. I’d rate this hotel as 4stars but it’s still worth staying there. The only thing I disliked was distance to the nearest shop (around 30min walk) but you can get electric bike or scooter to get there.

not a 5* but a comfortable 3*

Hotel is in a good location and the breakfast was as expected. In true Italian style you pay for everything and they sting you wherever they can without showing any understanding to your circumstances. Car park was empty but they still wanted 15 euros a night to park in it even as hotel guests, got charged for a night we didn’t want and no option to refund it and the room had dirty sheets and beds not as arranged Although hotel was dead it still felt everything was hard work If you want a simple, easily accessible hotel this is it just don’t expect too much

after a disaster booking elsewhere in Pisa. The room was ready for us and the staff were lovely and professional, Muhammed guided us to our room and showed us how to work the key. The room was very generous in size, the bed was clean and comfortable - i slept like a log! Bathroom is huge with various different toiletries to select and a lovely warm shower. Thank you for turning a previous disaster booking elsewhere into a lovelt evening. 10/10 would recommend

Stayed here with a toddler with food allergies, staff were so accommodating helping with egg and dairy free options for breakfast, couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely place and location, will definitely return

Very surprised that this hotel is a 5*. WiFi and tv didn’t work as soon as I got there, mini fridge and rainfall shower didn’t work. No room service and when I went to breakfast this was very mediocre for 20 euros. Meat was cold and no eggs were left. Very very poor not impressed.

The property is a 5 star Hotel but the 5 star were given many years ago. The room had a horrible smell coming from the bathroom (probably the shower trap was missing) so it smell like sewer. The hotel does not offer in house laundry and the outside laundry service takes 3 days. Most of The furniture in the room is broken and when I asked for a better chair it was an issue. The manager told me it was the guest responsibility to inform the hotel of anything wrong because they don’t inspect rooms. Definitely the last time I will be staying there ….. plenty of other hotels around

This property is in a good location if you are going to rhe tower, and overall is nice. The problem with it is with maintenance. Things that are so obvious that the management must be ignoring it intentionally. Custains torn and falling off the windows. Air-conditioning controls not working. Entry door locks not working properly and nobes falling off. Outside entry light missing or not working at most every room. Backside of building needs painting. Grass needs mowing. This could be a nice place to stay.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your establishment, Pizza Tower Plaza, during my stay on [date of stay]. I had booked a room at your hotel based on the positive feedback I found online, which I now believe may have been misleading. Upon arriving, I immediately noticed that the air conditioning in my room was not functioning properly. Despite reporting this issue to the front desk multiple times throughout the night, I received no resolution. Instead, I was repeatedly told that the problem was being addressed, yet no action was taken. When I inquired again the next morning, I was informed that the air conditioning system was not working at all, something the staff was aware of from the beginning. I am deeply frustrated and disappointed with the level of service I received. Not only did I have an uncomfortable and sleepless night due to the high temperature, but I also feel that I was deceived about the condition of the facilities. I paid $220 plus cost of frustration on my stay, expecting a certain standard of comfort and service, which was clearly not met. Given the circumstances, I am requesting a full refund of $220. If this issue is not resolved to my satisfaction, I will be compelled to escalate this matter to a consumer forum and share my experience on various social media platforms and review sites. I hope you will take this matter seriously and provide an appropriate resolution. I look forward to your prompt response.

Do not waste your money on the breakfast unless you like buns for breakfast apart from that the food inthe bar excellent only 20 minutes walk from the tower pool lovley i will be stopping there again 6 minutes in a taxi from the airport

On face value, this seems a nice hotel. I would have been happy with this stay if it was graded what it was… a 3 star hotel… not 5. The gym was ‘under maintenance’ yet for the entire 2 weeks and not accessible to the public, yet after searching most of the hotel in the most obvious spots for guests to be able to access, there was no gym. There wasn’t even a sign for a gym. The pool space and bar was quaint and was enjoyable to be around. However there was only one vegetarian option on the menu. We did not eat at the restaurant of the evening as the prices were very high for the options and style of restaurant.

Beautiful hotel, lovely grounds and pool, immaculately kept. Views across to the tower and mountains. Staff very friendly and helpful. A couple of signs of wear are tear in some of the rooms but this in no way diminished our enjoyment. Only downside is that it's about 25 to 30 minutes walk to the tower and shops/restaurants. We loved the holiday and would go back again in a heartbeat.

August 24 - 4 nights

Reception staff helpful. Arrived at 11:30 but check in not until 15:00. Provided with towels for pool and able to eat lunch in pool bar. Booked standard double which had a bedroom, small dining seating area and bathroom. Minibar but no prices displayed. Restaurant area only open at breakfast, pool bar used during day for snacks with different evening menu. Only had lunch on first day and eve meal on last night. Short walk (15mins) to nearest train station Pisa San Rossore with good links to surrounding area. The previous reviews did concern me but no concerns during my 4 night stay with my daughter.

It's about a twenty minute walk from the tower. They have a nice large pool and the grounds are beautiful.

Lovely hotel and ideal location for Pisa snd seeing other places. 30 mins to Lucca, 30mins to Forte dei Marmi, train to Florence. Great that it had a pool as was very hot. Hotel a bit tired in places, paint work etc but all in all would stay again.

Every thing is fantastic and worth every single cent you spend.

We stayed for a few days and when we arrived there was building working going on and that continued the whole holiday around the guests while they were trying to relax. Our toilet broke and they did a quick fix that broke again within a day, all the rooms need renovation due to mould, age and cleanliness

The elevator was small so it made it difficult with four people and their bags to all travel together. When we didn’t have our bags it was great. The hotel held our luggage since we arrived earlier than checkout which was great. And every time we needed a taxi they were able to get us one within 10 minutes.

We had a large room that was plenty for two people. The Pisa Tower was 1.5 km away so an easy walk for us. Lots of food options too nearby. The pool was awesome and very enjoyable. Lots of options for breakfast too (hot and cold). I would stay there again.

This hotel is in desperate need of a makeover, or at least a good paint job. There was a sewage smell in part of the outdoor area on the way to the pool. There is a large open field across the way across which if it's not blocked by trees you can see the Leaning Tower across the way. Quiet area, no amenities close by. Room was fine except for the confusing AC; you have to call to have them shut if off. Staff was OK in general. but when we first got there we stood waiting for help outside the closed restaurant, ignored for 5 minutes by a staff member sitting nearby. OK place for just one night to see the tower (although you have to walk through a freeway tunnel to get there fastest).

Staff didn’t seem very pleasant arrived at 1pm. Was told check in wasn’t til 3 to go away and come back later. Bedside lamps in room didn’t work. Staff at pool bar grumpy. Not much to do around the hotel 15minute walk Atleast to find a restaurant. Meant to be a five star hotel more like a three. No water supplied in room either or kettle

Loved the relaxed pool area and short walk to tower and train. Would have liked a kettle in my room like our travelling companions had.

Pessima esperienza, meno male che dovrebbe essere 5 stelle. Camera prenotata per due persone ma vengono fornite solo una coppia di asciugamani. All’ingresso nella stanza inoltre sono stato sorpreso dalla sporcizia probabilmente del precedente soggiorno (presenza di fazzoletti / elastici capelli etc.). Per finire, la doccia ha causato l’allagamento della camera a causa della scarsa manutenzione della stessa.

Pisa family trip.

Stay was ok, room wasn’t ready at check-in time, went into town, came back at 8pm and second bed hadn’t been made. Second bed (sofa bed) also very uncomfortable. Want awful but could’ve been a lot smoother.

5* hotel, more like 2*. Staff do not care, hotel very run down. Mouldy ceiling, dirty marked furniture, leaking showers, dirty showers and sinks just to mention a few issues. Would not recommend to anyone

This is an easy place to access the Pisa Cathedral and the leaning tower as well as the airport being a few miles away from each. We were here on Sunday and so parking near the tower was easier with the blue zones being free on that day!.

It was more of a 3 star than a 5 star. Location was great but we had to pay for parking. The service at the restaurant was very slow, locks on our room door were not working. There was no kettle - we had to ask for one. Since it was just one night we managed.

Hotel was nice but no aircon to hot at night lights didn’t work well either , €9 Eros for a beer was well ott , Good points ten mins from leaning tower and pool was nice ,room was clean and ideal for a family would go again

Horrible hotel catered to bus tours.

I would like to request a refund for a horrible stay I had in the Pisa Tower hotel on the 27th of May. The AC did not work, and the rooms were so hot that the only way I was able to sleep was to wrap myself in towels. This was an issue that the hotel is aware of because I saw reviews that had stated the exact same issue with no heads up to me. There was also mold in the bathroom and the breakfast area was dirty and unsanitary. I voiced my concerns to the staff and they did nothing.

Lovely hotel just outside the centre. We had a superior double. Pros Great room in the circular tower with the most amazing full semi circle floor to ceiling window and sweeping balcony. We could see the leaning tower from our bed, fabulous. Modern room. Comfy bed, big TV, safe, fridge, coffee machine, chairs to sit by the tv, large good bathroom, nice shower. Good location about 15 minute walk to the centre along an easy to follow footpath, you do have to pass under a fairly noisy unpleasent traffic tunnel but theres pedestrian paths. Views of the tower. Polite friendly staff on check in and the bar area. We didnt use the restaurant but it looked very nice. Parking available but at a 15 euro charge Cons (we were out of season) Pool and sky lounge closed which was a shame as the weather was lovely. Its advertised as 5 star and im sure the facilities and rooms warrent this, but dont expect a uk style 5 star savoy lol. The corridors had very warn dirty carpets, broken mirrors, bin in the room broken, mould in the shower. Nothing terrible that impacts your stay as such just to be aware of. Although they are not charging 5 star prices so that should tell you what you need to know. Extremely happy with a fabulous room and view, would definitely stay again

They didn’t help at all. Broken shower heads, door didn’t lock, AC didn’t work. I paid to have a horrible time with my family. And also be ready to pay 15 Euros just to go on a 5 minute drive to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, or even just the central train station. Inconvenient

Good stay but hotel needs redecorating and cosmetic repairs, reception staff friendly and helpful but stops there.

Closed to Pisa tower we have hot water for one day on the next day we didn’t have hot water we have to take shower with cold water and the people there not kind and warm the facilities needs repair urgent action and the food is not great I try the pasta and i cook better, very limited menu.

We did not enjoy our stay. The access to the room was complicated. The door to the room was like a vault and complicated to lock or open. The pictures on the website were misleading. We could not wait to check out in the morning.

My air conditioning wasn’t working there was a large crack in the window and many water spot marks in ceiling and wall. Lobby was nice but location isn’t the best

This property is NOT a 5* It is a passable 4 at best. Pool out of action, wasn’t made aware we came. As a family of 4, was the reason we came. No air conditioning in the room. Areas in need of updating and repainting in common areas.overall, would not stay here again if I was looking for a 5* hotel. If I knew it was 4* and pool would be out of action I would be happier as I would have gone elsewhere.

Lovely, clean Hotel - housekeeping everyday, everything that was used was automatically replaced - staff were accommodating - lovely room with mini-bar (you pay for what you've had when you leave) there is a restaurant on site which serves very high quality produce so is a little expensive but so worth it. The Hotel is about a 15 minute walk into Pisa town which is a great location as you are away from the hustle and bustle of the town.We would definately visit again👌

Anything but lavish

From arrival this place was odd! From the initial outlook it looks quite fancy but it couldn't be further from fancy. Receptionist rude, all bars closed even though it was a got day in April. Went to the toilets at Reception and there was tissue and sanitary products overflowing. Paint pealing off the walls. Pool are was derelict. We then decided to get a wine and sit on tne balcony as the bar area seemed non existent.. to be told we couldn't because they didn't have a bottle opener. No bottle opener in a hotel of this size?? The bar man and the lady at reception didn't seem bothered or concerned by this and just shrugged. The gentleman on reception however was more concerned and did make some phone calls. I waitng maybe 20 minutes and gave up. Awful place, do not bother.

Below average services

The rooms are ok with cleaning. But not sound proof, we heard next door noises for 2-3 hours at 10pm . The pool only available in summer. But they advertise all times. Walk 20mins to pisa center. Breakfast is not included in standard booking and they food is dry and not many varieties. Not worth for 20euro per person.

It’s ok

Property was average overall. Staff was very courteous, which was a bonus, and my room was clean and prepped for my arrival. The only issue that prompted me to give the average rating was the fitness center. Or lack there of. I chose this hotel because it was one of few in the area that had a fitness center. However, the morning I went to utilize it, it was essentially nonexistent. The room had been gutted, likely for renovations, and there was only an unplugged elliptical machine left inside. Something like that doesn’t happen spontaneously, so it would’ve been nice to know that prior to booking.

Great pick

Very comfortable hotel with ample parking. We picked the 2 room hotel and it was so big, with a deck. Took a relaxing swim in the pool. Nice breakfast.

Checked in was given a key card. Went to my room. Card didnt work. Back to reception who knew there was a problem and gave me the master key. Entering my room no toilet roll in the bathroom. Back to reception gave me 1 loo roll. 2 mins later knock on my door. Upgraded to a junior suite. Pulled the curtains in the suite the window's were so work i could hardly see the pool. The tv screen went off after 90 seconds. Reception saud they couldnt assist with help for the broken tv. The Ac was noisy like my phone was on vibrate. Its a very dated very under maintained 2 star hotel at best.

The property is nice very convenient staff were great but the pool was not clean properly it had green algae on the bottom and in corners and the grass around the property seems it has not been cut in months

The hotel has seen better days. It is badly maintained and some of the hotel stuff could use an educational course how to behave with guest. However, the receptionists were very polite and professional.

This hotel was very convenient and for the most part it was clean. The only thing that was very noticeable was the dirty carpet in the hallways. Aside from that, everything was pretty well put together including the room. It was vey clean.

Pool really needs renovation

We chose this hotel because of location and pool photos, location is good, not far away from Pisa tower, but pool was really disappointing, really needs renovation 😬 Room was a little bit outdated as well. Also there are 15€ additional fee if you want to park car in hotel’s parking lot.

We needed a last minute nights stay so booked here. Fantastic modern hotel. Extremely excellent value for money.

Room was comfortable. They had prepared the pull outs sofa that our kids needed to use in advance of our arrival and the pool was perfect for our family.

The hotel was exactly what we needed and looking for. The property overall was clean but definitely in need of the annual deep clean and maintenance in bathrooms. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Not a 5 star hotel at all

This hotel is not five stars, I would at best rate it 3.5 since it is dated - there is dirty brown carpet and rooms have broken lights. They are sparing with providing shampoo and shower gel considering we were two people. Reception is slow and not very friendly – that goes for all staff. Breakfast is charged at €15 for food that wasn’t fresh and the cured meats smelt bad + serve machine coffee. The pool side restaurant serves frozen food so the burgers are like plastic. They did not have enough sun loungers or have any in storage so They just told us to wait. Be warned if you are not familiar with the city that this is the “wrong” side of the river, technically but is close to the tower.

As per other reviews, not a 5* hotel or experience but adequate as a hotel. Breakfast is good and swimming pool is a good size.

Excellent

This is a nice property in a good location, close to PISA Tower and only 3 KM from airport. However, it is not clean; we had two rooms, both had ants in the bathrooms; AND the air conditioners in the entire building were not working. The rooms were uncomfortably hot. Do not recommend staying here.

The property is away from the crazy and busy tourist scene. It is a beautiful hotel with pool. I unfortunately arrived a day when the AC was not working, phone in my room was not functional and bath tub was not cleaned. The view is great, bed is comfortable, the rest of the room was clean. Restful sleep. The restaurant and bar are a nice place to enjoy.

There was no blanked on the room, receptionist was helpless, my stay was the worst stay ever, dont recommend this hotel to stay

Far away from town center

The worst 5 start hotel I ever stayed in AVOID!!

Our stay at this hotel was anything but 5 star. I believe the 5 star should seriously be removed from this hotel and be 4 star at best. We had arrived and parked on site (paid parking) we checked in after quite a while as the receptionist said there is no one else around and she was we booked the Junior Suite with Tower view, it looked like something from the 80's, however, the bathtub was filthy with mildew, but whatever, we went out on our day. The suite was also full of cigarette smell (someone was probably smoking on the terrace before we took the room) When we came back an uncovered the bed to sleep we saw that the sheets were in a horrible state, black marks and also blood stains on the sheet. I went to complain about the sheets, the smae receiptionist said there is noone from house keeping and the only solution was to change rooms. At the same time, she was changing rooms to another two guests. The new room was a junior suite with pool view and horrible, there was a price difference also. When I said I want a refund for the difference in prices, she kept saying in their system there is no difference in pricing (but there is a difference in hotels.com) she said she can do nothign since we already paid in full and we will have to deal with the day manger. The next day I presented the photos and she kept saying it is laundry rust and not blood, she knows there is a difference in price for the rooms and she could do nothing cause we paid in full.

Not what we had hoped for...

First time writing a review that is negative about our stay. Coming into the lobby, the hotel is great. However, getting off the elevator and going down the hall, you can see that things have not been cleaned or looked after for some time. Entering the room it was even worse. While it was spacious, let's talk about the lack of cleaning, especially in the bathroom. Looking in the shower there was a "bush" of hair in the drain. Not just a few strands, no, it was like the previous person cut their long hair in there and then tried to wash it down. How housekeeping didn't see this is beyond me. It didn't end there as other parts of the bathroom really lacked cleaning. We booked two rooms as one friend travelling with us had an early flight the next day and we were going on to other locations. Her room seemed to suffer from the same problem, lack of cleaning and questionable things in the sheets. Upon checkout we mentioned this to the front desk and her response was just a nod, nothing else. Sorry to say, but if I am back in Pisa, this certainly won't be the place I stay at.

Dirty shower

The rooms were large but in need of renovation. Our air con kept turning off we had to get reception to reset it twice. The overhead shower button didn’t work & the shower itself was filthy, all yellow around the seal.

This could be a good 5 star property but it needs updating and a good clean in some areas. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was a good size and bedding clean. Good for overnight stay before flying.

The room that was given to us first was not in order ( broken toilet paper holder , dirty ) . I took a pic and showed it to the receptionist. We were moved to another room . It was ok but not not that impressive.
