Our stay at the Pink Flamingo was absolutely magical. The garden setting was a real highlight, as was the lovely personal service from Joe, Marley and team. Loved the privacy and peace and quiet, and all the thoughtful and fun touches like the creative 'do not disturb' signs, bath salts and candles for the outdoor bath, sunscreen and insect repellent at the pool, in-house books/games/DVD collections, the pool bar honour system, laundry use, robes/sarongs/beach towels. Can't wait to go back.

A nice, fun place to stay. We had our own gated area, with an outside small private relaxation bath, mosi candles and matches provided. An outside seating area with hammock. Inside we had a seating area, kitchen area and bed area, together with en-suite shower room. We were warmly welcomed and appreciated the complimentary bottle of fizz for our anniversary. There are bikes available to borrow which we did and rode into the centre of Port Douglas, 5-10 mins flat ride. There is a pool and an honesty bar. There was also a bbq should you wish. A great place to stay, thank you!

Beautiful lush gardens. Clean and tidy. Quiet. Bit of a walk into the town centre however the local shared shuttles are very affordable and convenient.

Great place, quiet yet convenient, free bikes and nice outdoor areas for sitting outside. Not too busy at this time of year.

Great little place. Good room size. Kitchen dishes are a nice touch. Great pool. Amazing tropical plants and flowers. Easy walk or bike to main area of town. Totally reconvened staying here to relax.

Perfect place to relax in Port Douglas

Pink Flamingo is a charming place to stay in every way. The rooms are clean and private; the owners are friendly; it's convenient to town; there's ground coffee and a french press in the room. I meant to ask if there was a touch of cardamom (which I love) in the coffee actually, but I guess the point is that it felt like there might have been cardamom. We didn't end up using the loaner bikes, but we did swim and use the pool table. Considering its price point, it's a pretty perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

A great stay (if too brief)

Lovely stay here. It’s like having an apartment rather than a hotel room. Quiet, private, and convenient location. We stayed in 8 places across our trip and this was our favourite. If we return to Port Douglas we will definitely stay here again.

peaceful and ver tropical

Whether was great, staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The pink flamingo was so tropical and peaceful and we highly recommend staying there. The only downfall is that I'm asthmatic and it was a little dusty on the windows and edges of room.

Staff kindly let us check in early to enable us to go to a function. We had our two little dogs with us and the back courtyard area was perfect for them. There were nice little touches like a cold drink and cold glasses in the fridge, mozzie spray, candles. The grounds and pool area are really special. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the generous and thoughtful little touches, such as the DVDs and CDs to borrow, and the free use of washing machine. These make you feel more at home.

Fab place to stay(already been in July) everything you need including mozzy spray &coils....washing up liquids and it was our anniversary and they put a bottle of fizz in the fridge too! Best thing about here is pet friendly and no kids! Rating 10 out of 10

Paradise

A quiet getaway with most beautiful beach only 10-minute walk distance and 15-minute walk to town. Peaceful & tranquil. Fiona & Richard are lovely hosts.

Great place to stay and good location

You could rock up with nothing really except ya clothes,they have mossy spray,candles,sarongs,washing up liguid,toilettries …..bathrobes +a welcome drink.As for the bar ,help ya self and just mark down what you have had!Very trusting people and well thought out down to olive oils and herbs on the barbi!

Our stay at the Pink Flamingo was amazing! The place was spotless, comfortable and quiet. The staff were really friendly. It was the little details such as the free bicycles, sarongs, and coffee and tea facilities that really made our villa feel like home. I would highly recommend the Pink Flamingo.

A quiet location a short walk away from the center

I highly recommend choosing the Pink Flamingo and have already suggested it to friends. I was very well looked after, with airport transfers and tours arranged for me. When my flight was delayed, Fiona made sure I would still be met. Rather than an impersonal experience at a generic resort, enjoy a stay at a more unique place with a bit of personality!

Great one week stay in Port Douglas in June

Stayed for a week in villa 4. Hidden oasis! Bali-like vibe. Bold villa colours contrasting nicely with lush tropical plant surrounds. Loved the outdoor shower! A couple of geckos running around at night was a bit disconcerting - the insect screens need to be refitted around the entire villa instead of patch work taping. One noisy Gecko running about between wooden shutters and insect screen close to bed one night - normally I don't care but couldn't sleep so had to get the bug spray out and go Gecko hunting... Minor issue and to be expected in tropical north Queensland!

Amazing resort in Port Douglas

My partner and I stayed at the Pink Flamingo for three nights and it was perfect. It was quiet, the rooms were great, the pool and outside area were gorgeous and it was a quick walk into town. And best of all - there were no kids! So you don’t have to deal with kids being kids. The gym isn’t much of a gym, but who cares! Go for a run, borrow one of their bikes, do some sit-ups and crunches and call it a day - you’re on vacation :-) This is now our go-to place when we come back.

Lots of nice touches

Really liked this place. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Room was well appointed with a range of kitchen accessories in clouding a toaster and a coffee plunger which made morning easier. Bed was comfy and there was both an air conditioner and a ceiling fan. Lovely pool area and also an honour bar with snacks, beer and soft drinks. Laundry facilities on site and also bicycles to hire. Enjoyed my stay and would stay again 👍

Fun place! Great value for money!

What a fun place! The nicest owners, clean and altogether a wonderful place. The room was clean and the whole hotel is very unique and welcoming. It is located a little further than the town's main street (a plus for me). But it is still in a walking distance (about 15-20 minutes). That makeses it very peaceful and quiet. Will definitely recommend my friends to stay there if they go to Port Douglas.

Relaxed fun

Pink Flamingo is a really lovely relaxed resort. Peaceful, clean with everything you need. Very nice owners. Beautiful garden and a pool and bar you can use at any time. Great low key holiday resort.

Peaceful, colourful, and want-for-nothing mini res

Everything was there. You wanted for nothing. It was peaceful - you could hear the birds and frogs at night. Bright colourful quirky. Pool was warmed to 30 degrees, yes you do need it comfortable even when it's hot. Would certainly stay there again

Incredible stay! The staff is friendly, the location is perfect not so far from beach, shops and restaurant. The villas are clean bright and well designed.

A cosy home away from home

We loved our stay. Great location and spacious holiday apartment. Ideal for an extended stay we wish we just had more time there.

best place to relax

We wanted a romantic week away and this was the perfect place, adult only, no children and hardly anyone in the pool area, you can swim anytime of the night, no restrictions and the accommodation was so cool and rustic, perfect for us. Great spot, 1 minute drive to the town and so peaceful with an amazing garden setting in the courtyard. Great staff, they organise everything for you.

A surprisingly peaceful oasis!

We booked this accommodation after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and are very pleased we did, it was perfect for us.

Everything and more

They have thought of everything as this lovely little resort right down to personal sarongs in the rooms. Set in lovely tropical gardens each room has a private garden outlook and access to private BBQ facilities. The pool area is set among gardens and has a central BBQ for use by guests along with a fully loaded fridge of condiments for that once of use. A mini bar stacked with beer and soft drinks also resides nearby. Bikes are available for use by guests and they have an extensive range of DVDs for that night in. Highly recommend this place and will certainly be trying to get back there.

A wonderful hideaway.

We just loved the Pink Flamingo. It is modest accomodation but yet has everything we needed. The studio villas are set in a beautiful rainforest garden and are beautifully presented.

Fab villa in great location

Villa was very comfortable and entire site is lovely - lots of space, beautiful plants, nice pool, short walk to bars, beach, restaurants etc. And if you are stuck indoors there are tonnes of DVDs to watch. Would definitely return and stay here again!

A place you could live in

This place is a real gem. It's like if you arrived at a friend's house: everything feels so authentic, simple and full of nice details. The one we loved the most was the open air shower/tub on your own private terrace and the barbecue area with a bar with sand on the floor. The owner are all kindness and run the place like a natural host.

A unique resort with a focus on couples.

A very friendly hotel with charming and very helpful staff. The accommodation was quiet and the perfect place for a romantic few days. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is a 10 minute walk. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, amazing settings

We were blown away by our two night stay at the Pink Flamingo - we were gutted we didn't stay any longer! The thought that was put into every room was outstanding, pool towels and sarongs separate to the shower towels and dressing gowns, a bottle of fizz as we were on our honeymoon, the outdoor bath for two people was HEAVEN. It was wrenching to leave. The staff were exceedingly helpful and couldn't have asked for more friendly people. They provided bug spray and mosquito coils, all you needed to cook lavish meals yourself and a comfy bed AND day bed. We also had a CD of romantic Frank Sinatra-esque music left out for us which we used to completely chill our evenings. Abundant DVDs and books to peruse meant you had no chance to be bored!

Lovely, warm and friendly

Really enjoyed our stay. The villa was spacious and much better than a hotel room. The outside shower/bath is awesome and I wish I had used the hammock more. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful and we had a cat come say hi a couple of times which was a nice touch. It was really a different experience to any other resort we have stayed at before, but in a really nice, refreshing way!

Great resort

Stayed the for four nights with my wife and we both agree that if we ever go back to Port Douglas, we're staying at the Pink Flamingo. Both the villa, common areas, the other guests and staff contributed to a very memorable experience.

Quirky and individual

The Pink Flamingo has everything you need and we had a lovely welcome. The villa is in a row of individual villas with their own unique character. It was very private and hidden away amongt tropical vegetation. Very comfortable stay. On the minus side we found that as it was mostly so quiet all noises seem to carry a lot between villas within the resort.

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying here for 10 nights in early February. Cannot recommend the Pink Flamingo highly enough. Gigi bent over backwards to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We will be back!
