Paulo and his staff were very friendly, and understanding, and kind!! Definitely would return to this nice hotel.
Perfect for a city break
Nice hotel with very friendly reception staff who could not do enough to assist. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. View from balcony was quite nice, the decor is very rustic Italian which we didn't mind. There was an excellent selection for breakfast and there will be something for everyone. Cornelia metro station is a 10 minute walk away and there are plenty of taxis but make sure you check the fare before you set off. Would definitely stay again.
NA
El personal muy amable pero el hotel ya necesita una remodelación los cuarto súper chiquitos
The air conditioner need to be clean because it's mas very dirty. The bathtub is necessary to change because is very slippery.
Hotel room very clean
This is the most terrible hotel I have in my life. 1- the smell of smoking was everywhere in the room in the first day. Although it said No smoking. there was a smoking butt in the room 2- The receptionist was rude and didn't know how to speak English 3-There was an extra step inside the room which is very risky to slip on. My little kid slipped 4 times in it. 4- the Bathroom lock was broken 5-they turned off the AC overnight and we didn't know until the second day when we noticed that the room is very humid 6- the furniture was broken and very dirty outside in the balcony 7- every time I asked something from the receptionist, or complaint about something, they said you can contact Expedia and get a refund Overall, my experience at this hotel was a total disaster. From the run-down facilities to the unhelpful staff, everything about my stay was subpar. It's a shame that what was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable trip turned into a nightmare thanks to this poorly managed hotel. Needless to say, I will never be staying there again, and I urge others to steer clear of this establishment if they value a comfortable and pleasant hotel experience I have pictures for all this, but I don't know how to share them
Excellent customer service, clean rooms, beautiful hotel. I love my stay! Highly recommend.
Price for room per night was good, presentation needs a lot of work, of all the places I stayed between Zurich and Rome, this place had the highest city tax per night.
We loved everything . Cozy room , nice breakfast and accommodating staff especially Mac . Accessible to bus and train
Very limit in breakfast given to you and no dining room at night
We liked our stay. Decent room and hotel. Breakfast was decent, nothing fancy.
Staff was helpful. It would have been amazing if there was microwave in the room.
Place could really use updating
Expected the room to be small, which it was but everything was dated and dirty. The doorframe for the main door into the room was literally loose. Did not feel safe. Bathroom had water around the toilet and clumps of hair on the floor and the bathtub didn’t drain. Staff was kind and helpful but the room itself was not a 4 star.
Giod base to explore Rome
Nice hotel with convenient bus links into the city and to the nearest metro. Friendly staff and very comfortable room. Only grumble is the wifi is patchy in the far end of room 211
Really enjoyed my three nights here. My kids loved it.
Everything was great👍
Area is not safe and very far from city.
Excellent breakfast
Staff was very helpful and nice. The hotel was very clean and easily accessible to the city. Would definitely recommend.
Hotel is outdated and neglected rooms are dirty .Some staff is friendly but no authority to make any decision .
Excellent!!!
Nice place, good service, 15 minutes for central Roma.
Staff was great!!! Beds were hard like Italians like it lol! But was great stay and very convenient location for bus travel!
We had a great stay, staff were extremely helpful, great breakfast, we also enjoyed the lobby coffee and aperitif bar. Easy walk to the metro. We recommend this property!
Excellent stay
I like that it was very clean
Staff very friendly specially Joshef
The hotel was definitely old and in need of a few repairs but the breakfast was amazing
Hotel and staff were very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend the hotel.
Marble floor
Front desk service
Overall, the staff was friendly and professional. A special acknowledgement to the housekeeping person who provided excellent upkeep of the room. Breakfast was also good. The carpet was old and stained in some parts, also the wall. The worst and most annoying part was the noise, walls too thin and being on the ground floor made this worse as every loud sound/voiices from guests was incessantly heard.
Ups: There is a really nice park with some trails you can walk right across the street from the property. The room was clean and service was good. Staff was polite and spoke good English. Breakfast was simple but on time everyday, started at 7, in case you have early excursions planned. It was about 45 min walk for me to get to St. Peter’s square they had buses close by too but I didn’t use them. Taxis were available but I didn’t mind the walk. Downs: The walls were a little thin if your neighbors are loud. Most people won’t want to walk so plan for taxis or bus if that’s you. They ran out of hot water for the shower 2/7 nights didn’t bother me but heads up. Simple same breakfast everyday Would stay again!
The hotel was great just a little far from things. Beautiful park across the street.
The staff and people were great! but that’s about it - rooms and bathrooms were outdated. Our room had such a bad musty smell (i think it was old carpet) that my husband couldn’t sleep all night and he had terrible allergies. The lobby/ hotel front were decent, but the area around the hotel seemed pretty sketchy.
It was located outside central Rome, the metro is 13 mins away and the train to Termini takes only 15 mins. In terms of location, it was ideal. Also, the surrounding neighbourhood had many dining options, a beautiful trail and was pretty chill. I could stay here again, save for the broken shower tiles.
DO NOT RECOMMEND
Not pleased. First room, shower didnt work, went from the casement to the attic. the bathroom/shower a regualr sized human couldnt fit. after the 3rd room, we just dealt with it. Bit do not recommend nor would i stay again
Good location Clean rooms Friendly staff and finally great breakfast. A bit of everything
Front desk lady was very helpful and polite
Small rooms humity and need to b repairs
The reasons I booked this hotel was because of the location and free breakfast. I wanted a hotel that was close in walking distance from the train station. I believe it is a 10-15 minute walk. We weren't renting a car and planned on using public transportation. The bus can also drop you off in front of the hotel. That was great. I enjoyed the free breakfast because there was a variety to choose from. I didn't have to worry about have to go look where I could get my coffee. I am thankful that my sheets were clean and pressed and that housekeeping brought us fresh towels. I slept comfortably. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I was a little disappointed that the images of the room online didn't reflect the actual room where I stayed. It was much smaller but I was able to overlook because everything else made up for it.
Staff was amazing and no complaints in that department, super friendly and made that extra effort to help us. From the housekeeping, breakfast buffet and front desk, amazing service. I just think the hotel does need some upgrades as it is a older hotel in great location and with upgrades it'll be a must go to place to stay in Rome.
Excellent stay with impressive free breakfast offerings.
Distance to be traveled to Rome proper.
Please do not stay at this property, very sussy area, rooms are very small and internet doesn’t work except in reception area, would not recommend this hotel at all.
Well kept. Friendly and courteous staff.
We stayed for 5 nights and liked the hotel, it’s basic but good and affordable. Breakfast incl was good.
No wifi in the room.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.
I really enjoyed the Pinewood Hotel and their staff, who went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and tips to get around town. I felt it was a good value for the room and the breakfast which was great! Just be aware, this hotel is not in walkable distance from tourist spots. You have to relay on the subway (Metro) or bus, or taxi to get around efficiently.
Friendly stuff.
All was good
Few tiles in the bathroom is about to fall😅.
Location: near to bus stop. Walking distance to train station not too close not too far. Room: small for 3. Good for 2 only. We booked for 2 but my daughter requested to stay with us hence i asked to get room for 3. We were given a room with a double and single bed (proper bed). For additional £20 with breaky. Toilet: functional but tired looking shower room. Shower room is tight if a person is much bigger than 76kg i think he/she will not fit😅. You ned to ask for iron. No coffee facilities. Normally i request but i dont bother this time. Comfortable aircon, much needed because it was too hot in Rome...32C , 49 humidity , 9 miles wind...suffocating to go for a galavanting😣. Breakfast: few selection of cold cuts, salami and 1 type of cheese. Breads, lots selection of croissants does not look fresh. Old oranges and golden delicious apples and kiwi is available too. Brewed coffee from the coffee machine is not enjoyable. Juices are available and others. Since, we want to try to stay in different hotel in compare to Pinetta Palace. I will choose to stay in Pinetta in terms of Room facilities and breakfast.
Great overall stay. Good parking. An issue with hot water which was eventually resolved.
Good location. Breakfast is also good. Amenities are 3 star not 4 star.
At this time of mankind the fact that we did not get virus beats everything else.
Everything great. At the time of Coronavirus just anything is great
nice hotel
Lovely hotel. Fantastic breakfast selection. Mattress was a little uncomfortable for us but that’s just our personal preference. Good parking. Friendly staff.
Not as Described online.. run down and there wasn’t a “Forrest” just a few trees with a nasty fence on the other side of street. We got the “garden view” room.. no garden. Just a concrete patio
The property was very dated, but clean. The pics on the website were much better than the actual property. There was no climate control in the rooms. Elevator was slow and very small.
Nice staff helpful and friendly, good location for visiting Roman attractions
This place was great. After check out I forgot my ring in the room, and Giulia Spina from reception went over and above her job to ensure the ring was shipped safely to my next destination in Milan. Such an honest and amazing experience. The breakfast is really great. Will definitely come back in a heartbeat. Amazing customer service, we are so thankful.
This hotel is in an ideal location with the metro railway just a short 15 minute walk away, or wait at the bus stop just outside. Only thing i wasnt happy about was, there wasnt a kettle in the room arghhhhhh lol my own fault, ive learnt that i need to just pack a travel kettle in future to wherever i go. The staff were all happy and friendly and very helpgul with lots of information at hand.
Very nice people and place. Treated my family like family.
Horrible place and very dirty
Disgusting and dirty
The breakfast was outstanding! Truly a wonderful buffet to start off the day! My only issue was, the WiFi was terribly slow. I ended up eating through all my data during my time at the hotel
Just 10 min from nearest metro station. Clean, smells a little old but overall good experience. Very good breakfast variety
Not very convenient to get into town. Room was quite outdated and needed updating.
The location is inconvenient if visiting Rome by way of public transport. The rooms were out dated, mattress was very hard and gave my wife and me back pain. Things throughout the room were broken, such as the light switch, the toilet did not flush properly, and the shower door was broken. Furthermore, the shower door had what appeared to be mold.
Family trip
Very spacious room with a nice breakfast table outdoors. Reception was always so helpful in arranging taxis and breakfast was great as well.
The hotel is in a great location 10 min from the bus and metro stations. The restaurants near the hotel are excellent and no tourist prices. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Rome. Staff is great and very helpful.
Like the lounge and breakfast better than others. Dislike the distance to the Metro Station
The hotel looks very clean. How ever, one of the single beds in our room was damage and broke when my kid went to bed. When I was fixing it, I notice it was not that clean underneath.
Unfriendly front desk staff. Beds not comfortable. The Vatican is not within walking distance of hotel.
Breakfast was included but average. parking was free. No mirror in the room other than washroom
Price is OK. Location not good. Room service is very bad. The second day we put do not disturb sign on the door. After we back from outside. The bed sheet was folded and the sign changed to please clean. The third day we put please clean sign on the door and after we back we found the sign changed to do not disturb again. The room stayed the same as we left. The night before we left, no power and lights except both room. We talked to the reception, nobody can fix that because it was 11pm. Everyday no hot water for shower after 10pm.
The property was beautiful in the front but not much to do besides sit in the front of it.
was not located around anything the reviews had mentioned
Liked everything. Best breakfast in Italy, wonderful to have the availability of having ice. Just a wonderful place to stay. Staff was like they were owners of the hotel. .
This hotel is not exactly in the prime tourist area. So, it looks like middle of nowhere. One good point is: it's about 10 min. walk from Metro station (Cornelia). Hotel seems to be a bit old. Bathroom was clean, although some fittings in the tub were not working. It has free breakfast and wifi. Breakfast was decent. Staff was courteous. Overall a good experience.
Very convenient to busline. Good neighborhood. Liked it that our room had a balcony. The room was typical in being tiny but the balcony helped.
I checked in late at night and asked to check out at 12pm - an hour later than normal, the receptionist said it was not possible. I had an emergency and had to step out of the hotel and come back, she said my bags could stay at the frt desk, but i had to leave the room. she said there was no manager available and no one above her to ask for an expection. Very poor customer service!!! Breakfast was good. The shower is tight inside. A large person will not fit in.
Good hotel
The hotel was great, the breakfast wasn't the best but that's what you get here. Average breakfast in my opinion. Didn't know there is some city tax 6 euro per person and since we were nine, it gets expensive. They should let us know on hotels.com to read the small print before booking. Other than that, it was good.
The best water pressure in all of Rome Staff is friendly ,courteous and very helpful Breakfast was great !
Great value hotel.. it was surprisingly impressive for the low price.. great service.
Exceeded our expectations, staff were very friendly and helpful, recommended local resto’s and the location with free parking is excellent!
Stay at Pinewood Hotel
We were worried bout our stay at this hotel in Rome as some of the reviews were quite bad about the bedrooms. I explained about allergies we had and asked for none carpeted rooms, we were allocated both our rooms with no carpet and could not complain at all. Beds were lovely and comfy, no problem with the a.c. View was ok, could see the Vatican from our balcony which was nice. I was disappointed in the metal sheeting covering up the bricks at the front of the balconies, the reception area needs updating. I would say this hotel is more a 3*. One thing that really upset me was the rats playing at the right hand side of the door of the main door, there is a box there to try and catch them. We know these are everywhere, but, being a hotel I think it is upmost urgency to get rid of them.
This hotel was very dated. The beds were very uncomfortable and the room itself was cramped. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Very good hotel
I would recommend this hotel , my first time in Italy 🇮🇹 and used this for one night , very welcoming receptionist who speaks very good English , I arrived a little earlier than I should have , however this wasn’t a problem , the receptionist made us feel welcome and put our luggage in a locked luggage store and we also parked our car in their private car park ! The receptionist then gave us a map and explained a few things to us which was very helpful! The location of the hotel is very good if you want to travel into the tourist parts of Rome as you have a bus stop outside the front entrance and only a 5 minute walk to the metro ! The metro is by far quicker and easier ! I must say that the hotel is very nice and is exceptionally clean ! Breakfast was very nice also and had a wide variety of selections to suit everyone ! I would definitely recommend this hotel for all the things I’ve said about !
Probably not going to stay here again
We stayed as a family in a suite. While the rooms are very clean, I cannot believe how small the space is. We didn’t have any room to put our luggage, much less open it. The area is so-so... no place to walk around and certainly not close enough to walk to Rome center. However, Uber was only around $25. Nice breakfast - all included. The parking lot is very small. If you get in a bit later, you may not be able to find the space to park.
Short walk to Metro
Moderately priced hotel across the river outside of City Centre - very accommodating staff who go out of their way to help with directions to ATM, Metro, internet. There was included a plentiful hot breakfast. Room was clean with a private bathroom but the bed was hard and pillows flat with only one wooden desk chair. The lobby had plenty of seating and there was a rooftop terrace for lounging with a drink from the bar but the weather didn't permit us to experience that.
Our stay was ok
Was ok. Just that the front seat lady refused to microwave and warm a pizza for my son after several attempts and appeals. The guy at the bar said he can do it but the front dest lady told him not to, and my kids had to sleep in hunger that night. Not good at all.
Lovely hotel staff were helpful
This hotel was great you had free secured parking food was nice the only 2 things that let it down was the carpet in our room was filthy and stank of wet dog and the lifts are not long enough to get a standard wheelchair inside to access the dinning room so we just had breakfast in the lounge area I would definitely stay again because it was just a lovely atmosphere just a shame about the dirty smelly carpet if this had been dealt with it would of been a perfect score as I accept that not all lifts fit my wheelchair in them like they do in the uk
Good Value for the Right Price
I stayed at the Pinewood for four nights the second week of October. My room was a value priced lodging for a single traveler. The room was tiny with a twin bed which was fine with me. It was reasonably clean though the rug looked a little worse for wear. The hotel is located on a busy commuter route and I thought street noise might be a problem but it wasn't since the hotel is set back a bit and the traffic thins out after 8pm. There was an air conditioner mounted over the door and it cooled quite effectively and was whisper quiet, so I kept the room window closed. These single rooms are located right next to the elevator which I thought might be a noise problem but I didn't hear it at all. The staff all spoke English and were very friendly, helpful and professional. Each morning the hotel puts out a full breakfast of cereals, eggs, cold cuts and pastries. The location is especially convenient for those focusing on the Vatican and Borghese gallery and park. There are just a few subway stops away. It is about a five minute walk to the subway (20 minutes with luggage!) and the Termini connection is about 25 minutes away. This location is less convenient for other major historical sites especially for those unwilling to ride the subway, which can get crowded. The neighborhood seems a little rundown with graffiti everywhere and overflowing trash bins -- but the latter were all over Rome. Lots of cigarette litter on the ground too. I am an older solo female traveler and felt safe
quite far from Metro which is located in poor neighborhood
Hotel was okay for one night. Check in was quick and easy. Air conditioning in the room did not work. Overall the hotel looks quite dated.
American's in Rome
This is a pretty nice hotel, the staff is very nice and English speaking so us Americans truly appreciated that. Our room was clean and spacious and th breakfast was very good with many different choices each morning. The bar had inexpensive drinks and the bartender was very nice to us. If I have one complaint it's that every single morning of our stay, before 8am the cleaning staff would speak really loudly to each other in the halls and roll their carts into walls and the wheels would squeak that there is no possible way to sleep in during your stay but other than that it was a pleasant stay.
Comfortable, convenient
This is a very nice hotel with extremely accommodating staff. For the price, I doubt you can beat it. We will stay here again the next time we come to Rome.

All pretty good location just ok
