Clean, comfortable
The stay here was good. Laundry facility was useful. The pool looked great but didn’t have time to use it. Beds not made when you arrive, sheets are there for you to make your own.
Easy walk into town. Air con not adjustable temp.
Lovely place close to town and the train station. The studio was very clean and the staff were very friendly.
Excellent Studio Apartment.
Excellent studio apartment very easy walk into centre of town. All the facilities yoh need for your stay.
Super close to the train station and city centre😊
Good apartments in Colmar
I enjoyed my stay at Pierre & Vacances Colmar and would be happy to stay there again. The apartment was well equipped with everything you might need and is in a good location for the town centre, train and bus station. There is a baggage storage room available as well, which was very useful. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke several languages. They supplied maps of the town and marked on the quickest way to get to the historic part.
It has been the worst experience I had ever had. We had one towel for the six days. No toilet paper for the same period of time. No shampo no body soap. When we arrived the bed esa not made I had to make it myself.
Great Colmar
We had a lovely stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The place is very well placed between the railway station and Petite Venise. It is comfortable and spacious. The only thing we would say is that the internet speed is slow.
Lovely little apartment within easy walking distance of the main tourist area. Highly recommend.
I perhaps didn’t understand what I was booking but this is essentially a glorified dormitory. When you arrive sheets are there to make your own bed. You have to go out and purchase your own toilet tissue, facial tissue etc. There was an odour in the refrigerator. You have to pay for extra towels 9 euros each. In terms of positive points they have underground parking for a 10.50 Euro per night fee. The hotel is a reasonable walking distance to most of the sights you would want to see in Colmar and lots of restaurants 10 minutes away. There is onsite laundry (2 washers; one dryer)
Pleasant atmosphere
Very clean and well located.
Within easy walking distance of the centre of old Colmar.
Property very clean. Just far enough from the centre of town. A 10 minute walk. Three small issues - internet very weak. Not able to post any pictures of our wonderful visit. Not enough toilet paper in the bathroom for a three night visit. The toilet tissue is very flimsy and non absorbent. Also, directions how to use the stove top, ‘hob’, should be posted near the appliance for the non European visitors.
Apartment size was spacious. Staff friendly. Easily a ten minute walk to everything in Colmar.
great value apart hotel
the hotel apartment offered great value for money - newish and great. you have to put pillows into pillowcases and duvets into duvets covers in line with its apartment idea.
This is a perfectly good hotel but on a hot night there was no a/c, no fan and heavy traffic noise if the windows were opened
Like: close to la petite Venice, around 5 min walk. Full kitchen though I haven’t use it. Parking is underground and cost £9.6 each day. Not like: shower was not pleasant, hot water is not stable, sudden hot and sudden cold. Reception only opened for few hours for check in and check out. No slipper in the room, only hand soap and a hair & body gel in the bathroom.
First room had dr
The residence was very difficult to find. Only one parking space in the driveway which was blocked by a parked car making it difficult to even see the sign. Finding the parking garage was also difficult. Virtually no signage and nearly invisible in the dark. Parking procedure and finding residence from the parking garage was confusing and made more difficult by doors closing behind you which require a code you haven't memorized and it being nearly impossible to find another entrance to the parking from the residences. No onsite staff after 7 PM! The facility seemed vey nice and clean but you would have to stay a week to make yourself familiar with the confusing layout. I love continental breakfast but for 9.50 Euro, this was not worth the price.
Horrible smell coming from bathroom
Our personal experience was not so great. Pros.dog friendly, location to city center was good. Was able to check into one of the two rooms early and recieved keys for 2nd room about 30 mins later. Cons absolutely horrible smell coming from bathroom made me nauseous all night. For some reason had to put our own sheets on the bed. Complained in the morning front desk didn't really seem to be bothered. Don't think we will return.
We stayed in room 037. It was large and the kitchen well equipped. However the bathroom stunk. There was a strong odor of sewer every time someone upstairs used their bathroom or took a shower. That made the use of the bathroom a major task! The shower door could not be closed, so water seeped out every time we had to take a shower...the property has a great potential for being a good place to stay albeit these nuisances make it a place to avoid. The owners should consider making a few modifications, and very soon.
Autumn visit to Colmar
Walking distance to best part of colmar. Hotel is really apartments and would be ideal for families, great pool, quiet neighborhood, large parking garage ($8.50 supplement ), very friendly staff. No restaurant in hotel but many choices just a walk away. Price is very good if booked in advance, double if you just show up! Bid pus in colmar is a free minibus that does a circuit and you can catch it not far from the hotel and save walking if you are so inclined. hotel is an easy walk from the train. If you need a car, reserve with Avis at the gare in advance otherwise the daily rate is very high.
Nice overnight stay
A very nice stay at this apartment..was a little disappointed that the bedroom actually had 2 single beds and if we wanted the double bed had to use the pull out lounge..good kitchen. Great distance from Petite venice, easy walk. Lighting in bathroom doesnt shine in shower space so very dark but overall very nice..parking secure but have to pay for
Bed firmer than I like Lots of space. Easy walking distance to sites. Finding free parking on street very easy for me. Great value.
Best possible accomodation 5 min from Petite Venic
Amazing for the pruce, spotless, new very convenient location
The attitude of the staff was at best "who cares",very indifferent about being helpful Laundry, tourist info , breakfast was minimal for price. No "thank you for their business" The place was very clean and well located but did not feel welcome
Recommended
It was beyond our expectation. Very pleased and highly recommended. Parking fee is probably slightly on the high side.
We had a modernly furnished studio that was fresh and clean for our 3 night stay. The kitchen was good and even had a dishwasher. We did not use the pool as we seemed to pick times it was overrun with children playing and not good for swimming. You do have to make your own bed upon arrival which was fine. It is not far of a walk to old town and we walked from the train station too.
Good accommodation close to Colmar Christmas Marke
We were not expecting to make our own bed. Neither information was given on the website, nor did the staff at the front desk who gave us the room key mention anything. This is the 1st hotel ever that required our participation. The warm shower goes almost scalding hot and ice cold about 5-6 times during a shower. It's absolutely shocking. Other than the 2 significant hiccups, we feel this place still deserves a positive review as long as the staff improve on the negatives mentioned earlier. To use the safe, guests have to pay. We have never encountered such an absurd situation. Since we have fully paid for our stay months in advance. This residence must inform guests of this loophole on their website so that guests can make an informed decision beforehand. Please do not mislead guests. Walking distance to the city centre takes approximately 10 minutes. It is located in a residential neighbourhood. Our room overlooks the back (entrance of the garage) which was quiet & peaceful. Kitchenette was well-equipped. The room was pretty spacious. The garage has a good automated door entrance/exit system that is highly commendable.
Neutral recommendation
The apartment smelled like pot but because we were tired from waiting for our 5pm check in we told the lady we would stay. They tried to give us a queen bed even though I booked two twin beds. There was so way to circulate air because there was only heat and no AC. The apartment was very cramped but the location was great.
We loved our time here at this apartment. The front desk was super helpful and patient with all my dumb questions. The facilities are really nice - modern, comfortable, and great location where you can easily walk to Petite Venise area. I was able to find free street parking, but it does offer on-site parking. We had breakfast - which was standard croissants and breads, but that's all we really needed anyway. The pool looked really nice even though we didn't use it - we saw others did. We did use the laundry room (thank god!) which was a real convenience for us. Our apartment had a fully functional kitchen. We didn't realize utilize that much, but at least it was available if we needed it. There was plenty of room for our family and felt safe and relaxed during our stay. We would definitely stay at Pierre & Vacances Residence La Petite Venise again if ever in Colmar and highly recommend it as an affordable, roomy and comfortable accommodation.
Quiet location. The reception always has unwelcome face.
Clean, close to all trains, close to major landmarks, Very utilitarian.
Pleasant place to stay
A clean, quiet place to stay overlooking a park.. It is in a nice part of Colmar, close to Petit Venise and conveniently, to the train station. Like most apthotels it is self service. They are frugal with soap and toilet paper, so if you are staying more than a few days it would be advisable to bring or buy your own at the local supermarket. Everything is within walking distance. I like the fact that the hotel actively encourages recycling and garbage separation. The front desk closes and locks up the building at night so it is important to remember the door code.
Good place to stay, location and it’s an apartment
Rooms were well furnished with kitchen utensils and clean as well. Small room but not too tiny. Located close to downtown and close to train station as well...about 7 minutes.
Very good property. Very close to the city center.
New holiday apartment near the city.
Almost brand new property in quiet residential area near the city. A lot of free off street parking available. We had to keep the blind shut most of the time as people can look through our room on the ground floor. The room is modern and very clean. There is a charge for use of small safe in the room. 10.50Euro for 3 days which we felt rather unreasonable.
Nice place to stay. Very clean and close to Petite Venice. Beds were comfy and clean. Would recommend this hotel
Enjoy the stay will book again
Great location, clean, spacious
The room was very big, clean, and the place conveniently located. The woman at the front desk was helpful for the most part, and I appreciated that she spoke English, however, there were moments we didn't feel so welcome. The housekeeping staff did a nice job and were pleasant, however, they did enter our room TWICE without knocking, while we were in there. Despite this, we would stay here again, should we revisit the area.
French small suburban town experience
Conveniently located, particularly if you don't travel with a car. Couple pointers, 1) this is a service apartment, not a hotel, so check-in hours are relatively limited, but self check-in is available if you are arriving outside of their check-in hours. Just make sure you call ahead to let them know. 2) Laundromat is provided but you need their custom-made coins to operate and the coins are available only when the reception desk is open, so make sure you have asked for the coins ahead of time if you plan to do your laundry at night.
Excellent aparthotel
Good hotel, everything available even a hoover and a fully equiped kitchen. The only annoying thing was the kitchen fan which was on constant when we checked in. We called an electrician who sorted it out in no time. Excellent location, walking distance from the town centre. There is parking round the back so before you agree to pay the hotel parking at €10 pe day check the surroundings. There is free parking on the street. We paid the parking and then realised there is plenty of free on street parking available. Good hotel, very clean and good staff. Recommended!
Repeat visitor
Great place to stay for the Christmas markets. Short walk to Colmar Christmas markets area and close walk to train station to take bus shuttles to other towns Christmas markets. This is second year in row that we have stayed here. Really nice to have like own studio with kitchen and great that a bakery shows up every morning so you can get fresh rolls and breads. Would stay here again any time of year.
Good location, VERY self catered
Overall a good stay. A few minutes walk from Colmar old town and just as far from the train station. A little surprised to find that the beds weren't made for us on arrival, only one towel per person for the duration of the stay and a general lack of essentials such as a spare bin bag etc. No cleaner visits during our stay which wouldn't be a problem if a few more of the basics were provided from the off. Reception opening times were a little odd and meant that when the reception was closed for whatever reason, guests had to enter and exit through what felt like a secret (and slightly creepy) underground entrance. Overall though the staff were very pleasant, the room was a good size and we would consider staying again.
Marche de Noel
The property was nice and new. The room had a foul odor. We had to keep the doors open to air it out for a bit. Room was booked for 2 adults 2 kids. the apartment only had 1 room and it had 2 twin beds. So the kids got the room and we got the sofa bed. Would stay again if the price was reduced.
Good stay with a couple of querks.
It was nice and had everything we need for this leg of our 2017 European adventure. We stayed 4 nights and took advantage of the kitchen to make all our breakfasts and a couple of evening meals. Nice local close to the train station and a short walk downtown. Was the least expensive of our hotel stays of the six town/cities we visited. Was a bit strange that we had to make our own bed (linens were provided) and had to launder our towels and only 1 roll of toilet paper was provided. All and all a good solid stay. The hours of the front desk are a little hit and miss. We arrived at 1:20 p.m. and had to wait until 2 p.m for them to open after lunch???
This hotel is more like an apartment. You have a vacuum, microwave, stove top, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The room had all the dishes and utensil's necessary to cook your own meals. Because it's apartment style, they do not have daily house keeping. They did have a washer and dryer in the building to use. I personally liked not having house keeping in my room each day. They did however have house keeping available upon request. The hotel is within a 5 minute walk to the old village of Colmar. Loved my stay. It was clean, updated, and felt safe.
Good studio appartment to explore Colmar
Small studio apartment in short walking distance from the center of Colmar. Did not use the indoor pool, but it looked fine. Mediocre service.
Can't checkin after 7pm
Very bad experience . Our flight was delayed So we cant check in before 7pm We arrived at 7:30pm We tried to contact hotels.com and this apartment No answer the phone No answer mail We cant check in . We didnt get refund
Spotless apartment
We had a spotlessly clean apartment with a good bathroom and a nice balcony for sitting out in the evenings. We made good use of the swimming pool. The only gripe was that when we locked ourselves out of our in-room safe, the receptionist told us we shouldn't have been using it anyway as it costs €10 a day! There is no mention of that anywhere.... Otherwise, a perfect stay and Colmar and the surrounding villages are beautiful.
Very clean, modern and big room. Pool area ok and easy to access. Breakfast was not really worth it's price. Was very close to old town. Easy to park in basement.
Great apartment hotel!
Great location within 5 minutes walking distance to historic downtown. Parking available on street for no cost. Local baker brings fresh breads and croissants to hotel lobby every morning for purchase which is much more cost effective then paying for hotel breakfast.
Basic but good value
Great stay
Lovely place, great location. Rooms small but functional.
Residence La Petite Venise, Colmar
Excellent aparthotel in a quiet part of town but only a few minutes walk from the historical centre. Helpful staff, spotless, all very modern. Aircon was great and Colmar an interesting town to visit. Not far from the Vosges so great walking, cycling etc nearby.
we loved our stay in Colmar. It is a magical city during the month of December. And we were very happy with the hotel we have chosen - Pierre & Vacancies. Very easy to find from the train station and very easy walk to the central part of the town. The studio had everything we needed. The only complaint we have is about the room temperature, it felt cold in the room. It is also pre-set so you cant change it. The girl at the reception was very nice, spoke English and to answer all of our questions. The fresh bread in the morning, sold in the reception area, was a nice touch to remain you that you are in France. Really enjoyed it! We thought that having to make the bed and to remove the bed sheets ourselves was strange, the first hotel with this kind of experience. Not a big deal, but still strange. If you don't mind doing it, than this hotel is a very good choice for a pleasant stay in Colmar.
Excellent location
Very good studio apartment in excellent position. 5 minutes walk from train station and to old town. Everything we needed for a 3 night break visiting Christmas markets. Very quiet, no disturbances, comfortable bed and clean. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant.
Clean and Close to shopping and holiday markets
The room had a great fully equipped kitchenette. We drove a short distance to a supermarket for supplies.
Close to old town
This worked well for us because it was easy to walk to the old town and we were able to park the motorcycle in front of the hotel. Breakfest was not worth the money.
convenient and clean hotel
This hotel and city of Colmar was very well maintained. The Hotel was very comfortable and room size was perfect for 4 people (2 floors). Only challenge was that the hotel front desk closed at 8pm. If it was not for an article posted on trip advisor we would have not know the codes to get our keys to room out of box in front of hotel. There was a family that arrived at 9pm and had know idea that hotel was closed -- It might be good to publish this fact in regards to call ahead for key codes to ensure people can get into hotel
Confortable appartament
Very confortable appart hotel. Good position to visit the area. No need of parking, lot of places for free around. Would recommend it.
Comfortable self catering apartment; great locale
Very comfortable place with space to unwind. Self catering options was good for us as we like eating in the comfort of our apartment. Only thing strange was that while there was a stove, there were no pots and pans so we could not boil or sramble eggs for breakfast.
Close to the centre of Colmar and very comfortable
We really liked the hotel and it's location was perfect. Some things left room for improvement (air con didn't work effectively and the morning sunlight wasn't blocked out so this always woke us up) but on the whole it was really good: clean, comfortable, excellent location, nice patio area outside the door.
Great room, but odd services are lacking.
Although I read reviews about having to make our own beds, it was still annoying when we got back late on a Saturday night with two exhausted kids. I'd also read about the one roll of toilet paper, but forgot, and had to run down to the lobby when one family member wound up stranded. It would be a great hotel except for these two issues. Really, how much more would it cost them to make up the beds instead of leaving neatly stacked clean sheets on top of them, and how much would an extra roll of toilet paper cost? Also, the reception area closes at odd hours and it was difficult to find our way in, though we did so without any kind of security. And the staff at the front desk neglected to tell us that there was a switch at the front door that cut off the power to the entire room. It does say something on one of the two keys they gave us, but they knew our French wasn't good, and could have told us. And when we went down to find out what the problem was, they pointed out that is says on the key, which was a gratuitous comment. Really not impressed with that. But the room was modern, comfortable, seemingly brand new, and clean with a great terrace and ample utensils and kitchen supplies. And again, some coffee for the coffee maker would have been a nice touch, and would not cost them much. Instead, they charge 1.50 in the lobby for a cup of coffee. Some of the crappiest hotels in the world still give their patrons free coffee. What is up with that?
Near railway station
near railway station but insufficient shops for buying necessities.
Good for families
Good size for a family of 4
Very nice neighborhood , close to major points
Reception was close when we arrived. The keys were in a locked safe, that I had to call a number to find out the code to open the safe! It was difficult to find the reception area late at night, dark. One I saw the phone no. With the help of my small light, I called but no answer! After several trials I figured by coincidence, that I was not supposed to dial the country code! Highly inconvenient. I was prepared to sleep on the couch in the reception area! I finally spoke someone on the phone and got the code. The room was clean but the bedlinens were not placed! We had to do our beds! We were theee people. The third comforter was hidden inside the sofa bed, almost impossible to find. it was tacked in the bed.
Simple and convenient
Pretty bare bones but still nice and clean, with enough space and super close to everything you want to do downtown. Just a 10 min walk.
new year in Comar
Good location, friendly staff, free street parking nearby. Great place to stay.
Immer wieder gern.
everything was really nice
On retournera sûrement ! Un grand merci !
The internet conexion was very bad, you can't upload the fotos of the day.
Too much dust in the apartment
Recomendable
Fint badrum/toa/dusch men dålig belysning. Önskvärt med tydligare information kring parkeringsgarage, sopor mm. Trångt p-garage. Cirka 8 min att gå till Petite Venice.
Manglede balkon/gårdhave
Rigtig fint ophold.
Man bekommt 1 Rolle und that's it (sehr fraglich...).
Ottima struttura per qualità/prezzo e per posizione

Fine stay in Colmar
Near the Colmar train station and centre of bus network. Very clean, well-run and organized. Very good breakfast (extra). Front desk staff very helpful, fluent in English and German too. Indoor pool looked wonderful but I didn't use it. This property is most suited to families, and is self-catering with small stove, fridge, dishes, pots and dishwasher; there is no daily supply of towels or bedsheets. Laundry onsite and you put your own garbage and recycling out. If you are alone, it will take some organization to set up the routine especially on the last day (checkout is 10am) but I very much enjoyed this place - comfortable, staff pleasant and helpful, good location. Would return with pleasure.
