Great Location

Great Location on the Beach, with easy walking to plenty of great Restaurants and Bars

It may only be a 3 star resort but it was more than adequate. We loved our spa suite as there were no stairs to negotiate. It was also easy access to the beach across the road. The staff were all lovely, especially Pop & Thatika in the restaurant/bar. The other restaurants very close by were tried and given a huge tick of approval. There are also minimarts and other shops close by too. We would return.

Do not stay in a Standard room in this hotel! The standard rooms are in an annex behind the pictured buiding, it is set in an ugly area. On arrival to the room, the balcony door would not lock. I went to the toliet, the water looked yellow, as if not flushed after use, so i flushed the loo before using it. After I used the tolilet, it would not flush. I reported this to reception, someone came to look at it and i saw then again after i quick trip to the beach, in our room. The loo flushed ( the water in the bowl is yellow). But they stated I had to wait for the toilet to refil. I waited and waited in the room. It did not refil. I when to reception and stated what had happened and that waiting for 30 minutes for a toliet to reflush was unacceptable and that the room was not nice and a security risk. I paid the 500baht per night to get a room upgrade and the stay was average after that.

Everyone at this hotel was very nice, I would recommend this property to other travelers in a really nice environment opposite the beach

Excellent location at the best beach in Phuket, as soon as you are out of the hotel, Karon beach is at 20 mts, breakfast is fine, you may pay 500 baht to the any of the highlights in Phuket, I advise to rent a car 700-900 baht a day. There is a lot of restaurants near to the hotel so don’t worry you can eat anything you like.

Overall good. Right across beach. Breakfast buffet was great. Lots of variety & omelet station. Clean. No elevators, so if stairs are an issue make sure you get a lower level room. Reception: not much personality, probably fed up with tourists. Saying hello and thank you in Thai was appreciated. The lady at the tour desk was very helpful and friendly. Laundry service: bad. The only thing bad I can say. I asked to have my laundry picked up at 9am, I waited because I had questions about the form. I had to leave the room, when I returned of course it was picked up. The binder of hotel info says laundry picked up by 10am will be delivered 6pm the following day. Next day came and no laundry. After failed call attempts I walked to the office. By now I demanded to speak someone in charge. Ana presented herself, made a call and assured me my laundry would be delivered by 9am. She stated Sunday was a holiday so it was going to take an extra day. I asked her for a discount or something because nobody mentioned it to me. I usually am pretty easy going but this is a resort with resort prices. And this was our halfway point and needed the laundry since we packed light. When I finally got the laundry, all women's clothes, I noticed the invoice that came with it was not the same invoice that I filled out. Their invoice marked some items as "Gentlemen", which have a higher price. Luckily I was smart enough to take a picture of my invoice. Back to Ana I go. Overall good, beware of laundry.

Great Pools, ok room

Overall our stay for 10 days was comfortable. The room was labled as a family room however it was just a room with an extra 2 beds for our 13 and 10 yo squeezed in. The room overall was fairly comfortable. The bathroom was not that great, poor shower and general condition. The breakfast buffet was very good with a good selection of hot and cold food catering for different cultures. The hotel was just across the road from the beach and close to shops and food. The hotel staff ie front desk apart from a couple of people did not appear that friendly, ie didnt really smile too much. The best part of this hotel was clealy the 3 pools, all pools and surrounding gardens very beautiful. Overall price from Expedia seemed quite expensive.

Gorgeous hotel with many pools and a swim up bar. Lovely breakfast. I wish we had more time to enjoy the amenities. One thing is it is expensive to get to patong beach where the action is...400 baht each way. But if you don't want to go there its fabulous.

Wonderful Hotel :) Amazing Staff!!!!

This was an extremely fun stay for me. It is just a hop-skip from the beach. The staff were soooooo friendly and always helped me with all my concerns. Many of the staff members spoke great English so communication wasn't an issue. The rooms were very nice and clean. I loved the hotel pools. Especially the pool bar where I could sit in the water on the bar stool and have drinks and eat dinner. I always felt like I got great value for my money with the room, food, and drinks. The wifi worked well. The A/C also worked well but I would have liked my room to be a bit colder. However, my room always felt cool so it wasn't a deal breaker for me. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Lastly, I loved walking around the hotel and finding the super cute art peices of coconut they had around. Also, there is a super friendly cross guard who helps with crossing the street to the beach. Overall, a fantastic stay!!!!! The rooms towards the front of the hotel seemed much nicer. I might decide to get a better room next time but my room was everything I needed and I didn't mind the extra minute walk.

Nice place but a bit tied needs upgrade.

We stayed here before about 8 years ago and the price was right in 2018 so we stayed here again for just over 3 weeks. Great position just across the road to the sea. The staff are good no complaints there. The island view is about 30 or so years old now and it's getting a bit tied and needs to be upgraded. It still has the old bath tub that you need to stand in to take a shower, sometimes there is a water pressure problem and the beds are hard. Needs new beds the bath taken out and turned into a shower area, a new toilet would not go a stray as well and the main pool needs attention too due to a few tile coming off all over, it just needs some money spent on it. We still enjoyed our stay mostly because of the position made up for the run down look.

Nice hotel with villas across street from Karon be

Nice hotel / villas directly across the street from Karon beach, very near to Kata. Good service, comfortable rooms, we stayed in a villa which was nice but could use updating. After returning from beach it was nice to rinse the sand off our feet in area hotel provides for its guests. Breakfast buffet very good, we also ate at hotel's restaurant once for lunch, very friendly attentive staff, and we also ate there once or twice for dinner, good selection, portion size & prices. Very good Thai food & pizza, etc. I would stay here again.

Close to the beach, a bit out of Patong, taxis expensive but I would use again.

It was quiet and close to the beach. Staff were nice especially in the restaurant and the food was usually good. Not enough seats around the pool if you weren’t an early riser and nabbed one. The in-house massage and spa was great and well priced.

Check-in staff was great. Hotel grounds and pool areas are excellent. Room was another story. It was very dated. Bed was a concrete slab. Bathroom was very small and stained. It is amazing what a coat of paint can do. I asked for an iron. One came but no ironing board. Had to use cabinet. But someone didn't send out that memo. Breakfast was less than average. The area was good for shopping and food. The beach is excellent in this area. However we will not return.

Great location

Hotel staff very unhappy, unhelpful, not friendly. Could have made our stay more enjoyable. They did help me move to another room when I asked as my first room was noisy. One girl there was good the rest not proactive at all.

Old and Tired Hotel Geared for Russians.

I have never asked to move rooms or make a complaint::: until now. Booked a deluxe room for 3 people "overlooking the fragrant gardens". Was overlooking rooftops of bungalows and a alley way behind the restaurant, the stench was unbearable, it filled the room, you could not sit outside on balcony because of the smell. Decided to watch a movie after kids were asleep - Russian and Italian stations only. Not one single English program. Other than that room was roomy and clean. I was moved the next day to a bungalow, smaller room but away from the stench of the kitchen. However was a strong sewer smell. At this stage I contemplated leaving. We stuck it out - pools were good although open limited hours (1000 - 1800) and gardens beautiful. Breakfast was chaos and full of rude pushy Russians. Massage was fantastic. Found check in staff to be rude and restaurant greeter needs to smile, maybe its all the Russians rubbing off on the staff. Manager who sorted my issues was excellent. PROS: Across road from beach, good local restaurants, amazing massage, beautiful grounds & gardeners always happy and friendly. CONS: Crowded, old, tired and outdated, some rude staff.

Great Location and Wonderful Staff

We enjoyed our recent stay at Phuket Island View Hotel, despite the fact that we did experience a lot of rain and were forced to spend a lot of time in our room. We found the room was a good size - mattress very hard, but we got used to that. Bed linen and towels were very 'tired', but clean. As we are native English speakers, we were disappointed at the minimal choice of TV channels that we could watch on the wet days. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Location was ideal - close to shops, bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Decent "budget" hotel

This is definitely a 3-star hotel. Please note that the hotel is undergoing major renovations in the front and rear of the property. Pros: located directly across from the beach, front pool is nice with lots of lounge chairs, buffet breakfast is decent., centrally located in Karon Beach Cons: the front desk staff gives conflicting information, the wifi doesn't work. Tip: Book either the Deluxe or Villa. All other rooms are sub-standard.

We were put into a room in the older section of the hotel. It clean-ish just looked old, smelled moldy, and we found the occasional roach or giant moth hanging out. We would place the do not disturb sign on our door and yet every day our room was accessed and cleaned appreciated, but unwanted. Luckily nothing was missing.

Nice Hotel

Nice hotel across the road from beautiful Karon Beach. Staff very friendly but the Hotel was a bit dated. The beds were very hard and the pillows lumpy which spoilt the holiday. They were also digging up the grounds for 2 swimming pools which was quite noisy during the day. Very close to the markets and small shops.

We stayed in the off-season and arrived late in the morning, at about 2 am. Though the hotel says check-in ends at 12, we wrote beforehand and received assurances that we could check in at that time. Someone was there to check us in. The pool is good; the breakfast is superlative; the hotel is immediately adjacent to a relatively non-crowded, beautiful beach. We asked for a plug converter and they gave us one without a fee. There is a bit of a "thing" with the water - 2 bottles per room per day only, provided by housekeeping. The beds are hard but adequate. As a relatively lower-cost option, this hotel outperforms its price.

Best hotel on Karon beach for the price!

We spent 5 wonderful nights here. The location was the best right on Karon beach. Super ocean for swimming. Walked to Kata ( 20 minutes) because the snorkelling was better there. We paid to have the breakfast included & it was awesome. The best breakfast we had in the 4 weeks we had been in SE Asia. We ate most of our meals at the hotel because of the variety of food options,quality & fair prices. Pools were clean & you could usually get deck loungers. The room cleaning staff could have been better -eg. didn't clean coffee mugs or change linens enough. For such a large hotel it would have been nice to have an in room safe instead of bothering the staff at the front desk. The staff were all friendly & helpful. Wifi was a con. It was down frequently, once for more than a day. It was frustrating because it was constantly cutting in & out so it was hard to download anything or check sites for booking further travel.

Location can't be beat and loved my stay! I will come back again.

Basic 3-star hotel

The rooms are moderately clean. The only rooms I would stay in are the villas or deluxe rooms. Everything thing else is old and not very clean. The pools are very nice and the location is literally across the street from the beach. The waitresses at the restaurant maintain an average politeness. Seemed like they were always tired which showed in their attitude and faces.

We enjoyed a five night stay, the hotel has three lovely pools, is across the road from a beautiful beach. It is quiet, but lots of bars, shops, cafes, taxis etc in the area. Friendly staff. Tour desk very helpful. Food and drink at the hotel was expensive but good. Phucket is expensive generally these days.

The concord and bell boys were rude and unhelpful. no wifi in the rooms and the free wifi in the lobby was unreliable. The shower pressure was nonexistent. The food was good and the bed comfy. Location was also good and the pool enjoyable to use.

My gf and I have been here for 2 weeks. The rooms are clean. The breakfast buffet is well worth the couple extra dollars on Expedia. If you are looking for a quiet stay near the beach this is great value. the core of Karon beach is about 3 kms walk down the beach. Tuk Turks are outrageously expensive...200 baht for the 3km trip and all have apparently made a pact to refuse to negotiate. A blue bus comes by every 20-30 minutes until 6pm for 35 baht/pp.

All very nice, a part two remarks : no elevator and need to carry the facilities for the beach (two chairs).

It is close to beach but not great choice

We stayed one night so its ok. It is close to beach and many local shops/ resturant. Very convenient. Pool is small. Room smells bad and there is no safe box inside. However it is not expensive hotel anyway. So to me it is just average hotel.

We stayed here the last few days of our honeymoon. This was an amazing hotel with a great location! We stayed in a bungalow and it was well worth it. The grounds were beautiful. The onsite restaurant was great and there was plenty of other great restaurants around. The beach was right across the street and very pretty. This place was away from all the night clubs on patong beach but a close cab or bus ride to it all.

Great location - closer to Kata than Karon

We have just had a lovely week at the Phuket Island View Hotel. Probably the thing that stands out most of all are the staff, who are among the friendliest I have come across in a long time, regardless of their particular task. The hotel itself is perhaps a little tired, but the rooms are clean & the service exceptional. The restaurant menu could be updated, but the food is good. It may be that it is changed every week or so, but as we were only there one week, it's hard to tell. We had one bad experience - one evening my husband had his meal served & eventually mine arrived, but was only lukewarm. I mentioned it to the MD who immediately apologised, took it away & said it would take a couple of minutes. Some 5 minutes or so later, another - freshly cooked meal - arrived with more food on the plate than the original! After we finished, we were offered a complimentary plate of fresh fruit or coffee. All in all, the staff went out of their way to ensure we were happy. My only complaint - & not necessarily with this particular hotel as I find it the same everywhere - I know that we all choose various types of accommodation for our own reasons, but there is never an area with comfortable chairs & cushioned seats to sit & relax. Hard seats are most uncomfortable after a while, & for some of us oldies, we need some extra cushioning! We will be returning to the Phuket Island View Hotel next year & look forward to renewing acquaintance with the friendly staff there.

The swimming pool water didn't look too clean. There were three pools but only one pool looked like the water was circulating. The breakfast was very basic. The hotel is just across the street from the beach which was very convenient. If you walk towards the south of the street, there are more restaurants, shops, etc. For the price and location this hotel is not bad as long as you don't have too high of expectations.

Beach over the road,lovely gardens,not far to Kata

I stayed here for 10days in August 2015 (and previously in 2011) It is a mid range priced hotel and I think good value for money. It has three nice swimming pools, lovely gardens (more gardens than many similar hotels), rooms are a good size with balcony and contained everything I needed. I found it well located, being right opposite the beach and towards the Kata beach end of Karon Beach, so not far to walk to Kata, and not far to walk to Karon township. Public bus to Phuket, Karon and Kata go right outside the door. Al the staff were pleasant and helpful -some reception staff a bit shy, so may come across as unhelpful. All in all a pleasant place to stay and I would come back

Amazing hotel right on the beach

I was surprised at how nice this hotel was considering how much I paid. The grounds were beautiful, all the staff were very friendly, the room was perfect (superior) and the pools are very nice. I reccomend going in off season as it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, although the downside to this was they were doing construction right behind our room at this time which woke us at about 9 every day. But overall a great hotel for a great price.

No trust from this hotel

The hotel said our room rate did not include breakfast but we showed them the confirmation that said it included breakfast but the hotel said we should call overseas and confirm we paid for breakfast we called at a cost of several dollars and confirmed we paid for breakfast when we checked out they said we stolled the umbrella from the room we had to go back and show the manager the umbrella was in the room

Wonderful stay except for the shower

The so said waterfall shower system turns out to be dripping the whole time we stay. As a good hot shower is crucial after a long day out in the salty water, fixing this can turn our stay from good to superb.

Good location as the hotel is just across the beach front,few minutes walk from shopping centres, massage, restaurants and many more, 5 mins drive to Kata Noi Beach, Breakfast is OK for 3 star hotel. The only problem is our room is situated at the back side of the hotel, as we booked standard room, but if we booked superior room and bungalow - no hassle. the hotel has 3 pools which is good. Amazed with the king of natural beauty :) I'm definitely going back for a long period minimum 1 week stay. So many place to explore. Me and my husband fell in love with Phuket - one of the places we want to grow old together :)

Good choice for mid price accommodation

The hotel is close to the beach and all the staff helpful and nice. Hotel is well presented and breakfast was adequate nothing spectacular. There is some good restaurants very close and a 7-11 around the corner. Some rooms as mine was, are far from the check in and no lifts as 4 floors in all the buildings, So beware for elderly.

We were just here for one night for a stopover so didn't really use the facilities very much, but had an excellent dinner when we arrived, also entertained by a live band. The hotel's a little bit of a rabbit warren, so it can be interesting trying to remember exactly where your room is. Rooms were good though and I thought the bed was pretty comfy. The breakfast buffet seemed to be pretty extensive, and we chilled out by the pool after breakfast for a bit before going to catch our ferry. The pool had a poolside bar which seemed like a cool idea - we didn't actually use it, but it seemed neat :)

great location, loads of polite Swedes and louder Russians ,the WifI charge is a rip-off as you pY 800 BAHT A WEEK and then do not get the reception anywhere but in "the privacy of the reception desk", Staff are very friendly and helpful though.Day trips to PhiPhi island James bond island by speedboat or long boat are highly recommended.

Hotellet var under oppussing. Det var mye bråk og mye halvferdig. Betjeningen gjorde en fantastisk jobb for at vi skulle trives. Prisen på dette hotellet var alt for høy, da dette var en byggeplass. Frokosten kunnevært bedre. Treningsrommet manglet strøm, så apparatene virket ikke.

Nettes Hotel, der Strand ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Unsere Zimmer mit Blick zum Pool waren sehr ruhig. Viele Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Zimmer waren gut und sauber. Es hat nicht gestört, dass das Hotel schon etwas älter ist, die Zimmer waren nicht „abgewohnt“.

Huge disappointment

Room was nice with balcony unfortunately the WiFi didn’t work at all the whole week and despite our complaints they never attended to it as promised. One week without WiFi is too much. The restaurant was awful we couldn’t eat there not even breakfast. Unfortunately a negative attitude among staff whenever there was a complaint and there were several. I will not come back.

Helt ok hotell för pengarna

Väldigt hårda sängar, även för att vara i Thailand. Vi bad till och med om extra bäddmadrasser, hjälpte lite men inte mycket 😊 Restaurangen på hotellet hade stort urval på frukost, lunch och middag var också helt ok och man fick 10% rabatt på notan. Superfint poolområde med poolbar. Hotellet låg tvärs över från stranden i Karon och på promenadavstånd från Kata beach. Hade det inte varit för sängarna så har jag definitivt kommit tillbaka igen!

Хорошая система кондиционирования номера, работает автономно, не нужно вставлять ключ чтобы включилась. Приходишь с жары и сразу в прохладную комнату. Хотелось, конечно, номер с видом на море, но они были недоступны из-за ремонта, и мы наслаждались видом на ремонтируемый корпус. Бассейн довольно большой и протяженный, вода озонируется, а не хлорируется, по ощущениям. Один раз забыли принести комплект полотенец для душа, но ничего, благо, предоставляются полотенца для пляжа, которые возвращаешь также в номер. Удобное расположение, прям через дорогу пляж Карон, стоянка такси. В целом, понравилось.

Hotel przez 3 dni nie potrafił nam zapewnić zarezerwowanego i zapłaconego pół roku prędzej pokoju (superior pool view), zamiast tego otrzymaliśmy noclegi w willi (teoretycznie o klasę wyżej) położonej w krzakach pełnych komarów bez tarasu z jacuzzi w którym stała deszczówka i strasznie śmierdziało. Hotel zamieszkały w 99% przez zorganizowanych turystów rosyjskojęzycznych i wgląda na to, że gdzieś ma gości indywidualnych. Język angielski obsługi w recepcji kończy się na 3 zdaniu i jeśli chcesz coś załatwić ponad ustalony szablon to trudno się dogadać.

Allt var bra förutom att dom sista dagarna av våra 3 veckor fanns det inte ost och bacon till frukosten. Dåligt!

Bra läge på Karon

Perfekt läge på Karon! Dålig Wi-fi. För mycket ryssar som hörs hela tiden överallt!!!! Inget tryck i duschen. Bara badkar och ingen separat dusch! Draperi saknas då. Inget fäste på väggen vid duschning! Saknade det lilla badkaret vid ingången som utlovades vid bokning. Taxiservice var perfekt med bästa prisrerna och personlig service! Tack!!!!! I övrigt bra hotell med fina rum och trevlig personal !!

Kiva hotelli lähellä rantaa

Hotelli oli siisti, hotellin yhteydessä oleva ravintola ihan tasokas. Allasbaari sekä allasalue aurinkotuoleineen mukava. Ainoa miinus tässä osa alueessa tulee tuolien varailuille jossa linjaus hotellilla on ettei niitä saa varailla pyyhkeillä yms. Ehkä linjausta voisi tiukentaa ja käydä keräämässä penkeillä lojuvat pyyhkeet pois jotta ”ensimmäinen paikalla” -ajatus toimisi. Rannalle kulku helppoa liikenteestä huolimatta, oma liikenteenohjaaja paikalla. Katan ja Karonin rajoilla joten molemmat alueet käveltävissä. Suosittelemme hotellia.
