The staff are really friendly and there are lots of areas to sit, work, eat and drink.

Good for business purpose

The staff was extremely polite and professional. Best experience I’ve had in a Romanian hotel! Rooms are large, bedding very comfortable. Bathrooms need a bit of TLC but water pressure was perfect and they are very clean. Breakfast was bountiful and healthy. Overall amazing stay.

Great location! Friendly staff and amazing breakfast options! We’ve been here 3 times as we like it here and highly recommend! The decor is quite unique with lots of opportunities for some interesting photos.

The reception people seems like they didn’t wanna be there. Arrived at 10:15 asked about food as the Lebanese restaurant was apparently open till midnight, however, at 10:20. They’ve told me the kitchen it is closed. I ask if there is any restaurant around and they’ve told me only a gas station or I should order with glovo. No room service available either. The rooms are very outdated in the bathroom very dirty specially the shower area.

friendly staff

Full service property close to the airport. I have only two observations worth noting 1. The restaurant - We were there on a thursday night and ordered a few items. We were informed that said items were not available that night. This was soup, a burger, and a pizza. These are perhaps the easiest things a restaurant provides. Not sure why, but it seemed rather odd, especially for such a large property. 2. There is a club inside of the hotel that they seem to treat mysteriously. I forget the exact name but it's something like Club Misti. What it was was a small room, a small bar, a few couches, a pool table, and a stage with a stripper pole. There were also three working women there . I do not know to what exactly there services were, but it is a rather seedy thing that perhaps should not be a part of an otherwise respectable looking hotel. Maybe this is how things are done in Romania, and it's a common thing in nice hotels, but i didnt see anything like this anywhere else while I toured to country.

Not what it used to be

+ nice room furniture and colors - bathroom needs an upgrade, sink has age spots, shower missing pieces. Phoenicia had the greatest breakfast but now it was simple. Will give it a second thought next time if I will book at Phoenicia again.

Was ok for the price we payed, the only thing I didn’t liked was the mattress that is very hard and I couldn’t sleep all night

Business stay

Breakfast was amazing: huge choice, tasty, ... Rooms were okay, big, ... To improve: carpets on the corridors were stained. The worst thing was the gym: unbelievable.... small, old, smelly, .... pretty bad.

The building is very nice. The reception is looking great. The service and bell boys are very friendly. Yet the room and the hallway are not up to par. Hallways carpets are dirty with spots. In room carpets while nice, have spots from previous patrons unfortunately. The air conditioner?! A bad joke. Super old and battery blowing any cold air. Given the location the room costs are kind of on the high end. Something happened in the post couple of years, as this hotel was nicer. Will not stay here anymore

Breakfast buffet had plenty of options to choose from. One of the best I’ve seen, top quality

Good hotel for my business visit, close to clients and city in general. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately didn't make it to breakfast so can't comment!

This hotel is overrated, should have at maximum 3 stars.

Good airport choice

No air conditioning.

Booked this room and made sure the description listed air conditioning in their rooms. Air conditioning was not working at all, in any rooms. Not worth the money.

Business trip

Very clean, comfortable hotel but if you’re looking for friendly staff you may be disappointed. I didn’t feel very welcomed as a single business woman travelling alone.

Good staff, very polite, cracking location

Overall really good experience, brilliant breakfast, plenty of choice. Location was a massive factor in deciding.

Had training a few training days there good hotel, gym, and couple good restaurants.

Two nights. Business

Two nights on a business trip. Very convenient for airport travel. Be careful of the taxi drivers they really do try to take more than the actual cost. Very heavy traffic in that area so hard to have an open window. Serious traffic jams into and out of the city from early morning to approx. 9 pm. Breakfast was great. Room and bathroom spacious. Could pay a little more attention on cleaning the bathroom. No bathroom mat and the shower sprays onto the floor. Towels a little sad. Service was very good but not too friendly. No hair dryer. In general a good place to stay

Great hotel and fantastic value

Recommended this hotel by a Romanian colleague at same days notice and it was excellent for the value. Incredible breadth of facilities for the price, and only 10 mins by taxi from the airport. Staff helpful and very accommodating. Italian restaurant had very good food albeit service slow.

A very handsome hotel

Although a lush hotel, it was about 6 miles away from the main city. I either cabbed it there for like £5 or, did a 2 hour walk exploring what Bucharest was about. The morning breakie buffet as everyone raved about lived up to expectations and the juice bar was amazing. I feel like I've added years on to my life :) Gym/Spa was ok but, no pool. They only gave you 2 free waters despite having been there for 3 nights and all other hotel chains do this daily. Staff were friendly and helpful. They had some light music in the evening and complimentary wine on a fruit stall. Nightclub (just to be nosey) wanted £10 entrance fee which comes with a drink/shot. 1) I'm a resident and 2) there were about 5 people there. No chance! Otherwise, room was very nice and hotel was quite elegant.

the location was perfect for my meetings, but quite a drive to the city centre, the hotel although a little dated was clean well managed and the food in both restaurants excellent

Excellent facility, far from Metro and city center

This is a wonderful hotel in a tricky location. The nearest Metro station was a bus ride away (you can buy a bus ticket locally only before 14.30). Once on the metro, city center and sights were easy to access. The breakfast was epic, afternoon offering of fruit, nuts, pancakes. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Amazing Hotel and staff was great. Hotel has a contract with Taxi company and always a taxi available and was able to get to the airport in about 10-15 minutes.

Business stopover

Just spent one afternoon and night at Phoenicia. Close to airport but still a 15 minute ride in low traffic. Departed before breakfast, so staff offered a complimentary sandwich bag to go instead - a nice touch. Also ordered a car for the airport quite reasonable at 30 RON. Good solid mattress. Adequate plugs for recharging but bring adapters.

Nice place and convenient to downtown airport. Very accomodating staff, and the breakfast alone is worth the stay. The only complaint, and it's minor, is the inability to control room temperature better.

A Comfortable Stay...

This is a really great quality hotel with many attributes and good value. There are multiple restaurants on site, all the facilities you might need, wireless internet, close ish to the airport and the buffet breakfast in particular that was outstanding. The whole place had a comfortable friendly feel. The room could be described as 4-5 star international standard (you know, telephone in the loo etc). I'll definitely use the place again if I'm back in town.

Nice Hotel and Great Location

The Phoenicia is a nice hotel in a fantastic location. It is centrally located on the north side of Bucharest near airports and shopping. The room was nice, but the exceptional part of the property are the restaurants. The breakfast room was incredible and better than many breakfasts offered by hotels anywhere in the world.

Corridors on 5th floor were in desperate condition, a/c looks directly from the 80’s. Bed and pillow clean and comfortable. Decent bathroom. Good breakfast. Nice libanese restaurant.

Alternative airport hotel

Convenient hotel with nice comfortable rooms with fine beds. Breakfast is extensive, fresh orange juice. Many menu choices for dinner in the restaurant. Parking is free.

It was a very short stay, a night stop over in Bucarest between 2 flights. So I was looking for a good hotel near the airport, with restaurant, bar and confortable. It checked all options! And on top, the breakfast was amazing, had everything you can imagine, even fresh baked pizza at 7am :) Unfortunately I didn't have much time to enjoy it. For a tourist visit to Bucarest is a bit far from the city centre and not ideal though.

Recommended for business travellers.

This large hotel offers many parking availability which is very convenient in Bucharest. Rooms were large and comfortable. The reception staff was very friendly. Good WIFI. Breakfast is very rich and offers fresh dishes. They have two restaurants: Italian and Lebanese. I tried the Lebanese one and this was good. I did not try the wellness facilities. I recommend this hotel for business travellers.

Recommendable, but ...

Overall a pleasant stay. The air conditioning may be improved. Great breakfast buffet. Service in the Lebanese restaurant has been really terrible 3 nights out of 5. The same applies for the hotel bar. Very good service at the reception and at the breakfast place.
