Old Hotel - 140 year old building. Nice hotel. Really close to the station, taxi's, busses, shops, everything.

Just about everything was great. Had an unfortunate experience at the Bistro on site for breakfast when the kitchen was shorthanded and the waitstaff did not advise of delays until we got up to find someone to ask - 40 min after ordering - when our food might arrive. Poorly trained waitress was dismissive/defensive rather than being informative/hospitable. It really stood out because we enjoyed such good service throughout our 2 weeks around Scotland at all manner of establishments. Hotel was very good but skip the breakfast if you have any plans for the day!

The room had a beautiful view. A very small room with slanted floors.

This was a perfect stay for us while we traveled around Scotland. The spa was great as was the bar and restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely Oban Stay

Very Clean and all soaps and drinks topped up. Comfortable bed and quiet surroundings.

This hotel is need a little glamour lift on the outside, the location is spectacular, the staff excellent, so clean you could eat off the floor, food is great with an eclectic variety, and I cannot praise it enough. Lovely interior, speed check-in, wonderful bar/lounge and the locarion is great. The elevator is small so travel light or beware if you have claustrophobia.

Clean Room with Bayside View

The room was great, what a view! Hotel is within walking distance of most attractions. Pay to park on the street around the corner, overnight and every 2 hrs in the day, which was adequate. Plenty of restaurant options nearby, and the Brasserie was delicious for dinner and breakfast, however our waiter was rude. Dinner felt rushed to be made to order everything all at once. Check in and check out were pleasant.

An old building that has been nicely updated. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is centrally located downtown on the harbor.

Lovely older, but updated, hotel very convenient to everything in Oban. The only issue was the bathroom. Understanding that rooms and bathrooms were designed by the building, but the bathroom was small. The door had to be opened or closed fully to move into the bathroom. Also the shower was small and if you are a larger person you cannot get into or out of the shower opening. Other rooms did not have this issue. Having said this, we would stay here again if/when we return to Oban.

Lots of assistance in finding shops to get missing items I needed. Delicious food.

I appreciated the amount of food they gave me for breakfast/lunch in a bag for me to take on the ferry!

I really enjoyed my stay in a single room, but have to say the room was extremely small. Well equipped, good facilities but pricey.

We only stayed one night but wished we planned for more time in Oban. The Perle was amazing, The breakfast was the best in Scotland. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if back in the area. I highly recommend it. It is worth the price.

This is an old, character-rich hotel in the best location in town. However, it's old-fashioned and creaky. It also seemed expensive, but I think that's because Oban is so popular. I'm coming back next year and will stay here again, only next time I'll splurge on an seafront room.

We like the room and the location and there were many positives to do with this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was clean and had very good food and the wait staff was very helpful and friendly. The only thing we didn't like about the room was that the carpet was stained and looked dirty. It should have been changed at some point because it just did not make a good presentation. But everything else was on to our satisfaction.

The Perle, Oban is, quite possibly, the best location in Oban if you want to be right in the center of town. Their terrace looks directly out on to the water offering an unobstructed view of the bay. Its a delightful spot for afternoon people watching or watching the sunset over Mull at dusk. The service was impeccable; from the friendly front desk staff to the dining room and bar staff to housekeeping, every single person we met was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. The room we had was beautifully appointed. The restaurant is excellent. We had both breakfast and dinner during our stay and were VERY please with the variety, the presentation and the quality of our meals. Perle, Oban would definitely be our choice for future visits.

Stayed in one of the junior suites, which was nice if not a little tired looking and in need of fresh decoration / touch up as there were numerous marks on the walls. Quite noisey also due to the old single glazed windows but that's to be expected. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very nice.

Nice hotel, in the middle of town so easy walking around the area. No onsite parking but there is parking available at Tesco which is less than a 5 minute walk. Our room was on the first floor at the back of the hotel, it was a bit noisy first thing in the morning with traffic.

Ok but below expectations

Very friendly and helpful staff. Overall satisfied except for breakfasts which were a bit hit and miss. Suggest improved staff training. Friendly but lacking in organisation and attention to service. On basis of this we opted not to risk evening meals

Hotel and general area of Oban are a bit run down. The building and general area could use some renovation. That said, the people are amazingly nice and it is very well located. The rooms and bathroom are clean and the bed is comfortable.

All the staff where wonderful. We came here to get married and I’ve never had such a lovely and kind welcoming. We were given a beautiful gift and whisky, set Up in our hotel room on our day, which was a lovely surprise. Everyone was so accommodating and really helped us out with making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful reception along with fantastic clean rooms and smiley staff, We will definitely be back again to visit here :)

Great location

Good hotel. Booked junior suite and while room was more than ample the bathroom was tiny (but very functional). Breakfast was good albeit not as authentic as others we had on our trip. Front of house and restaurant teams were friendly.

Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Oban. Everything perfect

Parking is not as complicated as written. Hard to locate on Satnav maps. Just come down the A82, after you go past the waterfront after the bumper to bumper traffic, you can see it on the right. Turn right just before it. Park in the bus stop on the left to drop off bags.

The property is a bit dated but it’s comfortable. Lots of cool shops close. Great coffee close. Ferry stations very close.

Such a great hotel with friendly staff. Walking distance to downtown area. Very accommodating when I had to book a setting night with twisted ankle.

My only grumble would be the atmosphere at dinner it was kind of like eating in a library everyone at every table could hear everyone speak some light background music would have created a better atmosphere. The hotel is located on the Bay, very close to the Ferry and Station, with an easy walk to boat trips and local shops. The hotel team are friendly and very helpful. Our sea view room was very clean, very comfortable with good facilities and had great views over the Bay. We had a great 2 night stay and would return.

Nice property no parking available - good location

Great location in Oban…right in the middle of everything. Staff were friendly and helpful, even kept the restaurant open late for us one night when the boat was delayed. Allowed us to order dinner from the boat and it was ready for us when we got in. Thank you! Rooms spacious, but our bathroom was on the small side. However, that didn’t detract from a very pleasant stay!

great hotel, and location. easy walk to shops and restaurants. hotel had a good feel. call service to desk did not work, which was annoying. There are many stairs in the hallways to rooms that do not have handrails which is dangerous, and maybe illegal. This is real easy for the hotel to fix and a great hotel should correct that.

It was a great place to relax and felt welcomed by the staff!

Beautiful historic property. While 3:00 check-in is noted; I have never experienced it being so strictly enforced (not one minute before 3 available). The lady on the desk went above and beyond to help me with arranging a taxi at my next stop A

Hotel and area are beautiful. Evening front desk staff is neither very friendly nor helpful. We had difficulty finding the parking lot and she wasn’t much help. I am diabetic and my blood sugar crashed, my daughter ran down to get a coke from the bar and she wasn’t sure if they were open at the time and the same desk staff was of no help, thankfully my daughter saw that the bar was open and they were more than helpful.

Fine, comfortable but very hot room with no airconditioning. Very small for the price charged and more expensive than other options nearby. Didnt feel like value for money. Wine in the restuarant served warm.

Authentic Scottish lodgings with stunning views if the harbor, conveniently located near train and ferry stations. Lovely rooms, hearty breakfasts, friendly staff.

Conveniently located, rooms were clean and there was enough room to manuever large suitcases. Staff was efficient and helpful. The bar was a great place to unwind and sit and talk. Parking in Oban is not easy but we just parked in the train station lot and paid for parking. It was across the street from the hotel. This hotel has an elevator which was a major factor in choosing it.

The room was clean and comfortable, unfortunately next to staff cleaning room which meant that they were talking at the top of their voices at 6.45 in the morning. If going don’t accept room 113.

We were allocated room 110 for almost £300 per night. The room had two windows but one was blanked out. The hotel was short staffed on arrival and at breakfast. Not recommended.

Loved this hotel, great location for shopping and restaurants, the ferry and trains, Our room had a great view of the harbor - the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a large walk-in shower. Breakfast was included and included an excellent selection for continental breakfast options meats cheese cereals and fresh fruit as well as traditional make to order options. At the end of the night we ended up at the LuLu lounge- great selection of beers on tap and an excellent selection of Scotches. They also have a large selection of mixed drinks - my wife was a fan of the Oban Sunset. Finally, and most importantly the staff was outstanding, always helpful attentive and just great - from the front seat to the bartender in the LuLu lounge everyone was just great. Definitely recommend.

Great place to stay in Oban when traveling by train or bus. Nice big rooms and bathrooms.

Gorgeous hotel and wonderful amenities. Large room, up to date, comfortable beds. Walkable to dining and shopping. Beautiful sunset. Only complaint is parking is down the street in a car park. No room really to off load. Had to walk a long ways dragging luggage. Otherwise, brilliant stay. Excellent breakfast! Wonderful choices and quality ingredients. I'd stay here again.

Very nice rooms, we received a room up grade on arrival and the restaurant was excellent.

The hotel was right next to train station food was lovely and room was very clean But was very disappointed on the hotel bar closing at 10.30 fir 11 we walked in after being out fir nice meal thought we head back to hotel fir few drinks but the barman served us saud the bar was closing e had one drink when the backing music switched off barman had his jacket on left at 11 Porter on the door I must say what a waste as the lounge is done up lovely too so we were very disappointed and for that reason we won’t be back as we like to head back to our hotel at night just chill out in the lounge

Great, classic hotel in a very convenient location. Room was large and well equipped (Nespresso machine was a bonus and rare in the UK). Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced and perfectly located. Highly recommended.

Had a great night's layover here on our journey through Scotland and found Oban to be a great little town! Hotel was great, found parking a short walk away, and the room had a great view of the sea. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying here again!

Very quiet hotel. Lovely staff, very frendly and helpful. Good bar and suana / steam room. Very clise to harbour and local shopping. No car parking at hotle but available clise for a charge. Definitely return to this hotel

easy check in and beautiful place. If you get a chance try the restaurant. Their mussels were to die for and my partner was raving about their burger. Amazing service. would recommend this place to anyone!

Best place to stay in Oban.

Stayed 2 nights, found The Perle to be a lovely place to stay. In a great location, straight across from the train station, ferry terminal and local bus stop. The dining room is beautifully decorated, breakfast was fab and cooked fresh to order. We used the spa facilities.. steam room, sauna, hot beds, foot spa. We had a decent sea view from the third floor window. Lovely toiletries in bathroom and facilities in room. We will definitely stay here again.
