The property is extremely LGBTQ friendly, which I was not expecting, but definitely appreciated. Overall though, everything in terms of facilities and services was great.

The hotel staff are wonderful with Livia at check in being the best. Unfortunately, the hotel is badly in need of a renovation. The walls are thin and let in alot of noise. There was mould throughout the bathroom with the chalk turned black. I was not expecting a 5 star experience but was horrified at the poor quality of the place. I

The people in front were great. The breakfast was very good. The location seemed safe enough, as SP goes. Needs an update and PAINT! But what really made me angry was the fact that they advertised noise free rooms. This was one of the loudest rooms I have ever stayed in. People stomping above, karaoke from the street level, slamming doors, children from the next rooms etc etc etc. Even through earplugs! I wouldn’t have written a review at all (this is my first in years) except for the fact that they ADVERTISEMENT is a lie. I hate being lied to! When I checked out she asked if it was ok and I said yes but the room had been advertised as noise free. She said, yes, i know, sorry. :(

Hotel sem restaurante não possui nem se quer um cafe para se tomar ou comprar, quarto antigo com sinais de infiltração, televisão antiga sem muita opções de canais, pelo valor do hotel compensa ficar em outros hotéis da Accord como íbis budget.

Most disappointing stay I’ve ever had.

Needs a RENO and not clean

The Hotel appearance is very misleading. The outside of the Hotel has a good appearance, the lobby is OK, however the rooms need a complete makeover. My room, had a water stain in the ceiling, ceiling paint rolling off the walls near the air conditioning, the room was too tight to have 2 beds ..the room size should only be 1 Bed. This was an awful layout. The room had a stinky moldy smell. The bathroom shower had mold in between the grout lines and also there was MOLD on the corners of the wall/shower doors..the mold stands out. Hard to miss it. The staff does not do a good cleaning to be honest, I wouldn't stay here again.

I liked the location of the hotel which was near shops and restaurants in a nice neighbourhood. The room was nice and clean, however there was hammering and construction all throughout the morning around all sides of my room. I was charged to have a friend visit which is the first time I have ever had that at any hotel. Overall disappointed with the service of the staff at the reception. I interacted with several of them and they didn’t have a very welcoming approach.

the location is great since it is close to Paulista Avenue, the business district and opposite is the Augusta street where there are a lot of bars and not so expensive restaurants. The hotel is 3 blocks away from the mall where i went to exchange dollars to reals. also some small grocery store where you can buy some food, or snacks or whatever you may need. I like this hotel because of the location and also the staff that are very helpful specially Carolina, Sofia, and also Anton who would always help us get a taxi. I didn't like the room, although it is spacious enough the room felt humid at night the air condition was not functioning properly i would wake up at night sweating. The shower is too small for me.

Hotel close to downtown São Paulo

This hotel has an excellent staff, the location was very convenient for our needs. They have a decent breakfast. Dinner at New Year's Eve was not great. They had less staff than necessary but they were very pleasant and all of us opted to look at it with good humor. We knew it would be a simple dinner but decided to stay there because we had to make a very long international trip on January 1st.

Good location to the historical town

Stayed a night in this hotel before leaving Brazil. This hotel is relatively closer to our budget relative to the other ones in the area (but it might be just that day). Staff are friendly. Breakfast is quite good. If you don't mind walking, Japan town is within 30min walk or the historical town as well. Uber is quite popular here so shouldn't have problem getting around. I generally feel safe in this neighborhood but still do not let your guard down.

Great location in the center of the city

Pergamon Hotel is located at the center of Sao Paulo. The location is in the middle of a busy, and yet quite area of the city. Transportation, shopping options, culture events, and entertainment are available with less than half a mile. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Amazing hotel, especially for the price!

With the Expedia Gold member upgrade, we got an amazingly large room that one would expect to pay at least twice the price. Included breakfast was great as well.

Centrally located, but room had issues

The room I booked was on the 2nd floor. It was an odd arrangement; there was one room w/ a double bed, then the main bedroom, which had 2 double beds. There seemed to be some issues with the workmanship of the room. The bedroom light would flicker on briefly every 20-30 seconds, even though I shut off power to it. The shower door would not close all the way. No views from the window; it's blocked in.

Super convenient location

Stayed here many times and never been disappointed. Central to Paulista without the high prices. Older hotel but very clean. Staff very professional and attentive. Breakfast is very good. Taxis readily available. It is my go-to hotel in São Paulo.

Super comfortable hotel, nearby Paulista Avenue and Consolação tube station, short walking distance from the centre, and for those that do not rely on public transport and walking around, Uber Pool has great prices from here. There are lots of conveniences around, like supermarkets, shopping centers, theaters, nightclubs and bars.

Great value for the money

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I stayed in few 3 stars hotel in Sao Paulo before but this really feels like 4 stars, the furniture are new and comfortable as well. Ask for a room on a high floor with a view. The gym is very small and poor though, the heaviest weight is just like 20lb, although in the pics it looks better. Also there is no nearby subway, so need to walk or take taxi. Overall I would stay there again.

The staff were very nice and pleasant at all times. The superior category room was quite spacious, although the bathroom is fairly small. Street is very nice to walk over to Paulista. Lots of restaurants nearby and a very safe neighborhood. Breakfast buffet was sufficient except eggs were from powder and not real. overall a very nice place to stay

Nightmare on Frei Caneca

Just when I arrived at the hotel I was surprised by a young receptionist who did not even look at me while talking. She told me I should have a social security number in Brazil, even if I am American! Evidently, I objected and she was not happy at all. Left me waiting for my room to be cleaned for more than one hour, although I had the impression this was done just on purpose as the hotel was not full at all. The room was in reasonable shape, but the chair and sofa had several nasty stains. I think they could have been removed if cleaned properly. I did not dare to sit either in the sofa or in the chair. I did not even dare to rest my clothes on them.

Top notch service great location

What a breathe of fresh air! From the first moment to the last, this was a primo experience - Felix and Ivanildo helped with the check in and the luggage and from there it was all an excellent experience. Recently renovated rooms, fluffy comfortable beds with excellent pillows, spacious rooms with Strong AC good wifi thick towels good shower head strength and excellent well priced steak sandwich and chicken soup from room service. They allowed me a late checkout which was great so I could do some shopping and grab an awesome feijoada. Excellent choice, especially at about $75/night, including breakfast which included everything of course, eggs, cheeses, breads, fruits, juices, granola, yogurt, coffee, tea, pastries and cold cuts. Great choice great location excellent value awesome service!

Friendly, well priced hotel with 5 star breakfast!

This hotel is likely to be my first choice for business stays in Sao Paulo, where I mostly spend time in Avenida Paulista, Jardins, Perdizes and downtown areas. The staff have a highly professional approach, the rooms are well cared for and the breakfast is among the best I have seen in the city. I found a great range of food options compared even to other hotels in a higher price range! Just to be open about it, the area surrounding the hotel is not exactly a picture postcard and that will explain the very reasonable price. It is located 2 minutes from a busy road (one of the 'party' areas) but road noise is not too noticeable at the hotel itself. The busy bars & clubs are at least 3 blocks away but if you are not used to the realities of urban Brazil it may seem intimidating to walk there at night. The hotel location itself is calm. There is a taxi point right outside the hotel or it's a 10-15 minute walk up the hill to Paulista avenue, but I personally always take a bus from the nearby stop (even at night). Simply put, if you are familiar with Sao Paulo and understand about the layout of the city then the hotel is well worth considering However, if you are visiting the city for the first time and expect to walk out to a range of top restaurants on your doorstep + would like to be close to a Metro station, shopping centre and landscaped scenery, you are likely to prefer a more expensive option closer to Avenida Paulista! For me the Pergamon was perfect & I will return

A very good hotel near Augusta and Haddock Lobo with a reasonable price. Executive room is very nice and a complete breakfast. Attendants are nice. Good option.

Chicagoan on weekend adventures

Was here for about 24 hours and was very happy with it. Didn't give a 5 for room cleanliness just because there was quite a bit of dust under the bed. Didn't see it until I was doing my final check before leaving.

Quick stop over in São Paulo.

The location of the hotel was good. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very helpful in giving directions to downtown and organizing a cab to the airport for us at an early hour.

Great hotel in Sao Paulo

The hotel staff was very friendly, they were able to speak a bit of Spanish which was helpful since my Portuguese isn't the best. The room was spacious with a decent bed. The bathroom was also nice. Had a mini fridge stocked with drinks. The hotel is located about a 30 min walk to Avenida Paulista. Augusta street which is right behind the hotel also has it's fair share of restaurants. There is a mall located about 10-15 min away from the hotel. And there is a metro station about 15 min away as well. This hotel requires you to put your key card in a power slot to activate the power in the room which was new and a surprise to us. We thought the power was messed up. The breakfast service was also good. It runs from 6-10am. Overall it was a clean and great hotel, I would definitely recommend it.

very good hotel in central Sao paulo

This hotel is a high rise hotel with approximately 20 floors. My room on the 17th floor was clean and very comfortable .The breakfast buffet was more that adequate.I felt safe walking in the immediate area even at night. very close to numerous bars/restaurants.Taxi to the hotel from the international airport was BR/100 or £33 / $50. each way. Provided a 6pm check-out for my night flight back to London for half day rate. (nice gesture) my only poor comment was my rooms double glazing did not fit properly and had gaps in the frame.And when you're on the 17th floor there was a moderate amount of wind noise. Also there was a slight error in my room rate against the one booked through hotels .com. however this was sorted out during the check-in procedure. All in all a good 4 star hotel for the money paid.

O hotel é bom, o atendimento é excelente. Nós deram o upgrade. Porém o hotel já está em tempo de algumas reformas pontuais. Porém, no geral oferece uma boa experiência e uma boa localização.

Muy deteriorado y sucio!!! No volvería

No limpiaron en los 6 dias que estuve, no habia acondicionador, lo solicité y recién al 3 día lo rellenaron. Solo hacían la cama que era estirarla como la hace un niño. UN día llegué a las 17 hs y tampoco habian hecho la cama ni arreglado la tapa del inodoro que estaba rota. Estaba todo muy deteriorado y el baño sucio de meses con mucho hongo.

No limpiaron nunca y faltaban elementos

No volvería! La atención y ubicación es lo bueno. Muy deteriorado todo! En los 5 días que estuvimos no limpiaron la habitación ni el baño. El tapete para salida de ducha estaba con un agujero de lo gastado. Eramos dos y ponían una sola toalla de mano, y eso que el primer día reclame. No había shampoo el primer día, reclame y al 3 día repusieron. EL 3 dia ademas de no poner dos toallas de mano, no colocaron el tapete que va en el piso para la ducha. El baño tenía hongos en toda la ducha y el piso, se nota que se limpia a fondo hace meses.

Eu gosto muito do Pergamon Frei Caneca, a localização atende minhas necessidades. O staff é muito gentil e o café da manhã é bom! Porém, é preciso melhorar a qualidade da rouparia. Desta vez até uma toalha puída foi disponibilizada. Aí não dá, na minha casa não admito roupa de banho encardida, não aceito em hotel de jeito nenhum!

Reforma urgente -funcionários educados e cordiais

havia ficado nesse hotel há 3 anos atrás e estava em excelente condições . Porém nessa estadia verifiquei in loco que o mesmo precisa de ser reformado imediatamente e ter muitos reparos pois há infiltração nas paredes do banheiro e quarto , quinas do box “esverdeadas “ cama com colchão bem denso e compactado - travesseiros muito bons , isolamento acústico do corredor insuficiente - Apartamento que fiquei precisa ser reformado imediatamente assim como o banheiro - Equipe muito cordial e educada -estão de parabéns nesse quesito !
