Our sleep was terrible due to the very hard beds... It ruined our stay. All hotels have nice pillow top mattresses.... These beds are very firm with no cushion. The West Wing Tower has nice beds, but the old building doesn't... Also, the original building is 10 years past due for a major room renovation. It's very dated. Almost all guests will have nicer bathrooms in their home. Disappointing. Plus, parking is over $20.
Excellent rooms, comfortable beds & accommodating & pleasant staff.
Location is amazing, staff is great but should not have to pay for parking
Great stay
Always have a good stay at the hotel will definitely be back
Was amazing great location and staff was pleasant
great location friendly staff, did not like the fee for parking.
Beautiful view!
It provided all my needs
our room fan from the furnace was noisy every time it kicked in at night wakening us up. beds were uncomfortable
Wow what a beautiful town in the cold weather sunshine, had some great conversations with locals. The hotel is clearly showing its age while it’s day to day cleanliness and staff were fantastic. We really enjoyed the free for use ice rink with a fire pit on the beach and lights for after dark, a classic bbq trailer that was damaged by hockey puck slap shots. (I can’t understand why people need to intentionally damage good things) The hotel though clean and comfortable its night club music shook through the entire building until later than we wanted to be bothered by it. To fall asleep we all had to wear our ear plugs we had from the monster truck show we came to town to see. Even the rumbling noisy heater fan couldn’t drown the noise out. Our kids enjoyed the pool and again it’s showing its age but it was effective and the kids didn’t mind.
We loved all the staff and the room, the only thing I would say is the bass from the club in the hotel is so loud until 2am it was vibrating the walls. Everything else was great 😊
We went to Penticton for a weekend get-away and chose this resort and upgraded to a lake view room. Unfortunately the resort has a bar / nightclub on the water side that plays loud music and hosts drunk patrons until 2 A.M.. There were also noisy guests including youth hockey teams and their voices, footsteps and door closing filled the evening hours. I will not stay here again. It is more suited to partiers that will be part of the crowd at the Barking Parrot aka “Dirty Bird” and then sleep it off after closing.
The lake
Beautiful scenery
Nice hotel
I loved staying here. It is a beautiful building with a great view of the Okanagan and balconies to sit on and enjoy your coffee. Friendly staff as well.
Staff were awesome, room is great, definitely would stay again.
The hotel was very nice, great location and staff. Unfortunately, the mattresses were old and springy and the carpet in the room was old, dirty and crunchy to walk on.
Good positive stay
Bathtub could use a Reno . Rest of property was good . Front desk friendly
The room was beautiful and clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The gym was a little busy but it was a good space with a great atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.
Wonderful property. Recently renovated lobby. Good services. Great gym. Penticton is wonderful.
We liked that we got a good rate; it was close to town and the beach; it had on-site restaurants and we got a Santa gift bag. Unfortunately the heating system was a tad noisy when trying to sleep;there was no operable bathroom fan; we waited a while to be served in the restaurant even though it was nearly empty though our waitress was super nice and attentive once she came.
Great property to stay with children and and if you happen to have a dog. Plenty of options for restaurants in the hotel and in the area. The pool and hot tub was enjoyed and the outdoor skating rink was the cherry on top. Definitely recommend
Nice place around downtown
Pretty pricey for what u get. The 15.50 charge to park was an unpleasant surprise at the end. Wont be back
Comfortable king size bed. Receptionist moved us to a different room because our neighbours were in party mode. With the casino and nightclub in the hotel, you often hear people coming back to the rooms after they’ve been having lots of fun. The restaurant for breakfast was delicious and priced appropriately.
Freezing
Room was freezing. Thin comforter/sheet and the temp didnt go up with the thermometer
Well be back!
Great stay! Part of the hotel is getting older but we like to stay here! Pool was clean, but a bit cold. It didn’t keep our kids out! Great location and always nice
Race car
All good nothing to right home about
Hockey tournament nightmare
The hotel staff were great, good location. However…there was a hockey tournament with a large number of families with children running and yelling throughout the halls and slamming hotel room doors until midnight. The second night one of the hockey moms was screaming in the halls at 1am, in a fight with someone and yelling at other hotel guests… required the manger to deal with her. There was also pounding music that could be heard in our room on the 5th floor until at least 2am both nights. Not sure if it was from the pub downstairs or the hall spaces with Christmas parties. All in all, what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend away resulted in the complete opposite, with very little sleep. Not entirely the hotels fault but be forewarned about what you’re in store for.
The Lakeside resort is a great place to stay! It is a beautiful hotel lake front the staff are super friendly and helpful!! We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a relaxing stay!
Comfortable stay
The west wing rooms are modern and new. You get a $15 restaurant credit if you forego room cleaning. Great gym as well.
Quiet, comfortable, clean lake view suite!
Our stay at Penticton Lakeside Resort and Conference Centre was disappointing overall, though the location is nice. ...Unfortunately, the rooms felt outdated and in need of a refresh. The mattresses were very uncomfortable, and the lack of blankets left the room feeling cold. We opted not to use the heater as it was extremely loud and disruptive. Noise was a significant issue throughout our stay, with constant disturbances from the hallways and patrons leaving the bar below, despite having earplugs. There seemed to be a hockey tournament during our visit, which meant a lot of activity late at night and early in the morning. While this may appeal to families attending such events, it wasn’t conducive to a restful stay for other guests. Adding to the chaos was a fire alarm during the night, which brought firefighters into the hallways. In short, while the resort is in a prime location, the combination of outdated rooms, poor soundproofing, and lack of comfort made for a regrettable stay.
The property had just been 'dressed' for the season and was very welcoming. The only downside to the stay was that there was a young hockey team on the same floor and on all sides of me. They ran up and down the halls yelling, loud tv's shouting at each others doors - parents were as bad as the children. I finally had my room changed after several hours and the porter said he couldn't understand why they would have put people in amongst such a boisterous unsupervised group. I was exhausted by the time I moved and then the heat in the second room didn't work - I didn't have the energy to do anything about it and got extra blankets out of the closet.
Great staff.
Great spot
Lovely stay and we loved our big cozy room.
Great spot for our little getaway! Super friendly with our puppies and amazing location as well! Highly recommend to consider this place for your stay!
Basic hotel, nothing fancy.
Great costumer service
Stay was good. Did have some issues with heat. I don’t think they turned it on till the next day when it got cold out. Just seemed to blow are when you turned up the thermostat. Breakfast was good in hotel. Staff was very accommodating.
We liked the modern feel and flow of the room. Nice to have a view of the lake and park. It was close to main street and therefore walking distance to the show we came to Penticton to enjoy.
We arrived late and left early so we did not have much time to explore the facility or interact with staff beyond the desk clerk who checked us in and a second clerk who checked us out. The room was clean as was the washroom. We had no complaints.
Good
Good food good and friendly staff
We loved our stay there and we look forward to making a trip back to penticton in the spring.
Worst Hotel Ever
The room quality does not match the rest of the hotel. Worst bed I have ever slept, hard mattress, sheets are rough. You can hear everything in this hotel including people talking, walking around and doors closing. There is also a bar that blares music until 2 am and it rattles the walls. We had to leave the TV on all night to try to drown out the noise. We were on the 5th floor and could also hear drunk people screaming and talking like they were standing on our balcony. We would have been better off staying at a Motel 6. There is also no signage on the outside of the building when you arrive. The only good things about the hotel are the location is steps from the water, the lobby is newly updated and the restaurant has decent food and amazing views.
Enjoyed our stay!
I’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times. Always enjoy the view. Located close to all your needs. Rooms have been refreshed since my last stay which made the stay that much more enjoyable.
So many better places to stay in town. Travel to town often but never stayed here and I’m happy I finally experienced it. Rooms are loud and not peaceful. Would hate to stay at this property at peak season, wouldn’t recommend lake view during busy time, we were 3rd floor and heard everyone walking along beach walkway, heard everyone in halls, people in room above us, rooms are not very sound proof and you still have to pay for parking in off season. Property is dated and not worth it.
Older property but staff went above and beyond.
ice machine floor 5 not working. don't care to have to pay for parking.......should be included. Hooded Marganzer was a pleasant surpirse seafood linguini was excellent. Waitress was pleasant and engaging. Excellent experience
Overall good
The property is in a great location, close to everything downtown, beaches, walking trails. The staff when checking in could have gone out of their way to be more friendly and welcoming. Our room was directly across from the elevators and that is definitely something to stay away from. SO noisy.
Love the area and the view from our room! Perfect location for walking everywhere
very good
I checked in one hour earlier than my friend. She got a room and I had to wait until my room was ready. I don’t know why. We paid the same price…….
It was a beautiful property
I loved the service in the lounge.
Great hotel and location. Was disappointed the hottub was cold.
Very Clean rooms and hotel… very beautiful Views..
Great hotel
A wonderful place to stay, spacious comfortable room with a superb view of the lake from the room & even more so from the balcony! Two excellent restaurants. We were sad to leave !
.
Great location. Rooms are outdated and climate control didn’t work. So loud! Can hear ever step made outside the room and every door automatically slammed. Breakfast buffet was terrible, cold and lacked options. Staff were all very nice and everything was clean and well kept.
Amazing experience, wonderful staff, . Will be going back again.
This hotel was absolutely perfect I stayed her with me and my child and felt completely safe. Everything is clean and the gift shop is very nice.
The property was great very well kept
Great hotel. Probably the best in Penticton.
The staff are really friendly and attentive. The lake around the property is stunning, I've enjoyed swimming in it. It got a bit loud on Friday, however, during weekdays it was really peaceful. Unfortunately, my room did have a few pistachio shells and hot water wasn't running at one point. The dining options were also great.
Love the location and all the amenities being on the lake. Restaurant turns into a club in the evening, quite loud. Very odd to have an upscale hotel with a club in the evening. Considering the price, I would stay somewhere else next time that is quieter and likely less expensive.
Great beach and restaurant Hooded Merganzer
On the lake. Best place to stay
Great location with adequate facilities Just doesn't have that 4 star feel - eg has blinds but they don't meet so room darkening is limited. Not worth the money for me
Would definitely stay here again. We had a beautiful lake view!
Clean, local and good view
I was not happy the air conditioner did not work properly and the pillows were very lumpy !!
Property was easy to access, great dining options, suite was outstanding. What I didn't like was the $50 extra charge for checking out at noon instead of 11a.m. and the parking charge it seems excessive, specially charging for parking where else do park????
Extra charge for the parking
The drain of the bathroom sink was clogged. Noisy AC. Found bug and spider in the room
Overall stay was nice but for the price of the room there were a few things I would have expected to be a bit better. Door stuck Just cosmetics of the walls and ceiling
The room was fine except for the random air conditioning unit that came on in the middle of the night and the lack of hot water in the shower.
"Stayed at this *charming* 4-star hotel with a 3-star interior—where the décor is as dated as the playlist from the bar blasting music into my 6th-floor room at 1 AM. The $15 per night parking was worth it just for the added bonus of hearing police sirens and lively conversations from the crowd right outside. It's like a free city tour from the comfort of your bed!"
While the hotel is a little bit tired, it exceeded my expectations and was a nice stay!
Had a beautiful suite in the west building overlooking the lake. The room was fantastic! Service was excellent. Hotel also had a good restaurant and bar on-site. Being on the waterfront, we were able to walk to most places we wanted to visit.
Excellent spot right on the water. Options for tall vehicle parking. Great restarting and bar on the property.
Overall a great experience. Nice to have a private beach with service. We booked two rooms in the same booking but placed on different floors of the hotel which was kinda annoying.
For the price we are paying it must be renovated.
Love staying here
Great
This use to be the place to stay. Front desk staff were lazy and didn't show any manners or interest in the customer. Spider we and bugs in one corner of the room near the ceiling. I was really looking forward to my stay but very disappointed. But I know no one cares and this will fall on deaf ears and the customer is never right. Different standards now I guess
Walkable and Convenient
Everything was outstanding. From easy check in, property was close to the beach, clean and staffs were very accommodating
Location location location!! This made up for the out dated rooms. Very friendly staff.
The rooms need to be renovated.
It is very good but but expensive
I had the 720 square foot sweet with partial lake view and it was super .

Great stay, the restsurant was closed for renovations while we were there so food options went out beyond the resort
