Nice room close to the old town.

The room was clean and tidy in a property which was well-situated close to the older area of the city. The host was very helpful and explained everything we needed to know, including good breakfast recommendation. We had a good stay.

Nice for a pension which is better than a hostel, more like a motel. Clean. Not as spacious as pictures make it look. Fine for 1-2 night stay. Convenient to walk to all the main areas. Do not recommend if you have a car. No parking. Construction going on right outside the building so noisy early in the morning.

Comfortable en-suite room, pleasant staff, reasonable value. Convenient location (5 mins walk from train and bus stations) but lots of building work in neighbourhood.

The host was waiting for me at the door, very nice and friendly man. Very welcoming.

Great place for a quick stay in San Sebastián, close to the train/bus station and 10 minute walk from the city center. Not the most luxurious or most welcoming, but it serves its purpose :) Overall, recommenced!

Clean, quiet, and well situated

My boyfriend I had the room at the back of the pension with a large bed. Nice sized room, clean and comfortable with windows opening to a terraza. The pension offers a deal where you essentially pay half price to park in a nearby parking garage if you have a car. Came out to something like 24 euros for 2 nights. The front desk was rarely staffed, but staff communicates with you to make sure they are there to greet you when you arrive. Very friendly. A good deal.

Better than expected. Although entrance old and dated, rooms very nice and better quality a than expected. Helpful staff made us very welcome.

nice place, nice people, good location

I actually ended up staying at Pension San Ignacio Centro, their another location - so this is a review for Ignacio. Javier was very helpful and communicated well before my arrival to make sure that I meet him at the location for check-in. Hotel is clean and it's actually pretty modern inside (card keys, elevator etc). Staff are all nice and friendly. Location is good - can walk to most of places. I enjoyed staying there & would go back. Thank you so much.

The room was spacious, clean and really warm. Javier was very sympathetic and helpful, he gave us a few tips to visit the city and where to eat that were good recommendations. No view due to some works in the streets but all good, very quite too. And a kettle in the room wth a couple of tea bags, instant coffee and milk which we thought a nice attention in this cold winter day,

Basic convenienient hotel in San Sebastian

Good communications from Hotel, however note that unstaffed after 9.30pm. Staff really friendly and on the ball and had everything ready for my arrival, gave a little orientation of area on a map and answered all questions and booked a taxi for next morning - cannot fault how friendly and helpful. This is what makes a hotel good. Room was small and very very warm but clean and all basic requirements met, however a little updating and replacing tired bed/furniture and a little maintenance wouldn't go amiss. Do not expect breakfast there is no food facility, it is a hotel to sleep at only. No hot drink facilities in room a hot drink vending machine in the lobby area make sure you have some change. WIFI worked really well. I was here for one night for work so it met my needs perfectly, 5 minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes walk from the beach and the bars and cafes of San Sebastian. Would I stay here again - yes I would.

no front desk

The Pension de San Sebastian is only 5 minutes from the bus stop. There are lots of restaurants nearby. You are maybe 10 minutes from beach and old town areas. There is no front desk. You need to make arrangements ahead of time for check-in or there is no one to meet you. Javier was very nice and let me stay in a bigger room since the hotel wasn't full. The cleanliness could have been improved there was a lot of hair on comforter and in bathroom. Overall it was a really nice stay.

Good value Pension.

Nice clean Pension in Gros. 5 minutes walk from bus station, nice cafe round the corner for breakfast, short walk to the old town and beaches. Room 101 quite noisy because of the trains, but other guests walking up and down we're quite noisy too!

We had a wonderful stay in our cozy room. Definitely recommend for budget accommodation.

Did not feel safe

I left here without staying even one of the two nights I booked because I did not feel safe. The staff was not there when they said they would be. At night around 9pm someone knocked on my door and wouldn't answer when I asked who it was. This location also would not refund me for the second night even though I did not stay there and expressed that I did not feel safe at all.

The pension is comfortable and well located. However we were surprised that the reception area is hardly ever manned unlike what is stated on their website. Also we asked for a receipt on checkout but we're not offered one. They told us to refer to Expedia but in fact our bank details show the charge was made by the pension.

Excellent budget hotel close to the old town

Peaceful, functional, and with helpful front desk staff. There are doubtless fancier hotels in the area but I found this one great value for money.

Good location; good value for money. Building works made it look a little unprepossessing from outside, but the rooms were well appointed. Very good wifi. Shower cubicle perhaps a little tired. It was unfortunate that because I was late (delayed bus) there was no one at check in, and I needed to make phone call, but someone came fairly promptly.

Noise!

Great location and wonderful staff, but too noisy to even sleep. The bed would shake when someone would walk by the room and the doors and walls are so thin you can hear all conversations. Great location and lovely staff, but bring ear plugs!

Great, cheap, friendly, convenient

The Pension San Sebastian Centro is a comfortable, unpretentious spot ten minutes' walk from the Kursaal waterfront through a nice neighborhood of shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and patient with non-English speakers, and the room couldn't have been more comfortable or clean. I'm sure there are higher-end places to stay in San Sebastian, but better to save your money on accommodations and stay here, so you'll have more to spend on the city's amazing food! It's a great, cheap spot to crash.

Love this pension. Great value and I really felt like at home. Javier (our contact at the pension) did a great job welcoming us. I will stay again.

Comfortable place ,close to the city center.

We had a three day stay.The room was comfortable but did not have fan or AC. The bathroom was huge and clean.Our stay was comfortable and Javiar gave us helpful suggestions. What I did not like that the prices were different for the weekdays and weekend,in spite of booking 4 months in advance there was a 20 Euro difference in the room rate per day which is huge.

Lovely little place - room wonderfully quiet which was great given how close it was to the city centre. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Great value!

Solo 10minutos desde Est.Tren y autobuses, Cerca de zona interesante de Gross, pero no esta ruido muy tranquilo. Recomndo.

Une jolie pensión, parfaite pour les séjours courts. Elle est bien située et la chambre est tout à fait convenable. Je remercie Javier pour son amabilité et son accueil. Je recommande !

Al reservar me mandaron un mensaje que por obras me reubicaban en otro hostal. Al llegar al segundo hostal me doy cuenta que tengo otro mensaje recibido ese mismo día que la reserva vuelve a ser en el primer hotel. Cuando llego no me dan el tipo de habitación que había reservado. Tras mucho rato de espera, al menos accedieron a solucionarme el problema con una mejor habitación. Mi pareja iba en muletas y me molestó su desorganización. Algo ruidosas las habitaciones. Limpieza mejorable.

I know that it is no hotel, only hostal. BUT despite daily cleaning there was a lot of moldiness in the shower, the bathroom and the bedroom. Towels were tatty and holey. Even in a hostal I expect clean towels.

Schimmel in der Dusche, Handtücher fleckig und Löcher und nicht jede Person hatte eigenes Handtuch. Bett quietschte extrem laut. Zimmergeruch modrig.

Buen hostal

Javier es muy amable y servicial. Nos guardo las maletas por unas horas cuando dejamos el hotel para no tener que ir cargados a todos los lados. El secador funcionaba regular, estaría bien cambiarlo. La habitación está bien para unos días, tienes nevera y máquina para calentar el agua. Muy cercano a todos los sitios de interés por lo que la ubicación es excelente.

Penosa la atención al cliente y carísimo para la habitación en la que nos hospedamos que no es ni por asomo la de la fotofrafia

Habitación pequeña , agradable. No me gustó que ante cualquier inconveniente hay que llamar por telefono , ya que no hay recepcion sobre todo a la tarde y noche.

ロケーションはとても良かった　Renfe の駅からも平坦な道で歩いて8分　旧市街地からは歩いて10分位だから、静かでした！場所も解りやすい。部屋も綺麗に整えられていて、とても快適に過ごす事ができました　また　管理者も　素晴らしかった　日本語しか解らない私に親切に丁寧に、解るまで　チェックインの方法や、ペンションまでのアクセス、部屋の使い方、チェックアウトの方法など教えてくれました！またサンセバスティアンに行くなら、同じペンションに泊まります

Excelente. Una pensión que no tiene nada que envidiar a un hotel 3 estrellas. La ubicacion es espectacular en pleno casco antiguo, pero ojo si van en auto!! Después de las 11 hs las calles son peatonales y se complica. Dejen el auto en un parking y luego vayan al hotel
