Nice and friendly hotel

Good room and friendly staff. They were building a new house aside so there was some noise but only during daytime.

Beautiful house, friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent. They have a charger for electric/hybrid vehicles. The only negative thing I'd note is that the room had a bit of a strange smell.

Our stay in pension steinbock was very pleasant. We only stayed for one night, since we were heading for italy the day after. We could check in ourselves and the room was clean and tidy. We had breakfast included which was really nice with enough options to choose from. Overall a pleasant experience!

My stay was a pleasant experience. This was my first time staying in a hotel with a shared bathroom, but the reviews were pretty good so I gave it a shot. The bathroom is kept very clean and I never had to wait to use it. The building itself is very charming. The staff was very pleasant. The breakfast was great. The shuttle bus into town runs frequently.

Characterful, quiet and accommodating

Just close enough to town for evenings, and far enough out of town for a good sleep. BUS 2 stops right outside (not 24 hour!) for access to slopes and shops and bars. Breakfast is serious - you could easily stock up with energy til the late afternoon. Hot water is copious - but timing your run to the separate shower can be a pain : that is Austria! Staff are full of gemutlichkeit, and ever willing to help out. The next door Hotel Sonnbichl provides good evening fare if town does not appeal, and all at a sensible price.

Not great

No parking available when we got there and restaurant fully booked so had to eat crisps and chocolate from the filling station down the road. Staff brushed us off like an inconvenience

Serene St. Anton

Great stay, and nice room!

Excellent hotel on the outskirts of St Anton. Daily breakfast that had many great options with exceptional service. The room was clean and had breathtaking views from the balcony.

Excellent breakfast and connection to the ski resort as buses stop right next to the house.

Close to St Anton. Room is tidy and the window opened wide with a view of the mountains. Breakfast was hearty with a selection of meats, eggs, bread, dairy and cereals, with juices and coffees. Enjoyed my stay

Excellent value in great area

Fantastic B&B which was excellent value for the area. Very clean and modern bathroom. Great free parking and directly beside the ski bus.

Good spot to stay to ski Alps

A little confusing to get to as cab driver wasn't sure where it was. Then, had to check in at hotel next-door to get key. But, once in, breakfasts were great and convenience was great.

Good Value St Anton Hotel

Very good value for money, considering that St Anton is an expensive resort. A shower room gets shared with other rooms, but this was not a problem and kept very clean. 10 mins walk to the lifts (or 2 minute bus), you also get the use of a heated locker at the base gondola to store your skis etc, which I found very useful. Overall I would recommend, is more basic than some hotels, but great value and service.

Sehr urige und gemütliche Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichen Personal und tollen Frühstück. Lediglich in der Dusche wäre eine Thermostatbatterie zeitgemäß, da es hier noch Einhebelmischbatterien mit all ihren Nachteilen gibt.

Riktigt bra

Perfekt boende för två vuxna och en tonåring. Vi hade två handfat på rummet men gemensam toalett och dusch. Riktigt fräscht dock så helt ok. Riktigt trevlig personal och bra frukost.

Etwas außerhalb des Hauptorts, aber schön ruhig.

Sehr schönes und uriges Haus. Mein Zimmer war aber recht neu und sehr schön. Habe freundlicherweise ein Upgrade erhalten. Frühstück im Haupthaus absolut top. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Vriendelijke service, gratis liftpassen voor de top (en terug). Zolderkamer nogal muf. Neem iets duurdere kamer met balkon. Gezellig.

Waren für 3 Nächte zum Skifahren hier und hatten ein Doppelzimmer in der Pension Steinbock. Das Zimmer war schön geräumig, großes Bad, Balkon, bequeme Betten,alles super. Auch das Frühstück war sehr sehr lecker. Sehr praktisch ist der Ski-Abstellraum, mit Skischuh-Trockner. Wir können dies nur weiterempfehlen.

Mehr als erwartet!

Très bonne adresse

Nous avons très bien accueilli malgré notre arrivée tardive, et avons été surclassé dans l’hôtel s’en face Das Sonnbichl Genusshotel. Le personnel était très serviable, l’hôtel joliement décoré et le petit déjeuner excellent.

Aamiainen oli erittäin monipuolinen ja loistava kokonaisuudessaan. Sijainniltaan meille juuri hyvä, rauhallisessa paikassa.

En pärla i St Anton

Vi fick ett litet rum utan dusch och toa men med handfat. Natten efter uppgraderade vi oss till ett rum med badrum på rummet. Enkla men mysiga rum med bra sängar. Det tar cirka 20 minuter att promenera in till byn eller så tar man postbussen som stannar precis utanför. Der Steinbock är lillasyster till Hotell Das Sonnbichl där man äter en fantastisk frukostbuffé och även St Antons bästa Wienerschnitzel. Fantastisk service och trevlig atmosfär.

På mc tur i Alpene

Kom helt tilfeldig over dette overnattingstedet på hotell.com. Siden prisen var god passet det ypperlig for meg som var på motorsykkeltur i Alpene og trengte et rimelig overnattingsted. Her var det lett å få parkering og de hadde veldig god mat. Hadde også mulighet for å tørke våte mcklær, noe jeg ikke trengte. Anbefales!!!

Impressive

I have been visiting the alps several times, however this was definitely my best stay. For the value you can not find any better accommodation in St. Anton. The rooms are nice, service is superb and the food is high class. Really recommend trying dinner at their resturant. The best in the area by far. So to conclude, I could write endlessly why one should stay here when visiting St. Anton but I am going to try to keep it short. If rooms are availble you can not go wrong booking your stay at Pension der Steinbock - Das.

Sehr netter Empfang, großzügiges sauberes Zimmer, reichhaltiges Frühstück, freundliches Personal - alles in allem empfehlenswert

Lage ist gut, die Kooperation mit dem Sonnenbichl bzgl der Sauna ist sehr gut. Da die Zimmertüren eher dünn sind, hat man rege Teilnahme an den Unterhaltung der Gäste auf dem Flur. Aus den anderen Zimmern bekommt man nichts mit.

Passed St Anton on a roadtrip through the Austrian Alps in July and stopped at Pension der Steimbock. Arriving out of hours we checked in at the hotel next to Pension der Steinbock. Breakfast was also served in that building. Room was clean and nicely kept. Free parking is next to the front door.

El alojamiento cubrió mis expectativas: limpieza, comodidad, dormitorio silencioso y entorno perfecto. Valoré muy positivamente que la ventana de la habitación además de tener una cortina tuviera una persiana ya que permitió dejar completamente a oscuras el dormitorio para un mejor descanso. Como aspecto a mejorar, comentar que en el bufet del desayuno vimos alguna mosca entre los alimentos, les aconsejaría que procuraran tener protegidos (en vitrina o tapados) aquellos productos que estén al aire libre en el bufet como bollería, tartas, quesos y fiambres.

Prima uitgebrijd ontbijt in het naastgelegen hotel. Zeer vriendelijk. Kameruitrusting sober maar goed.

Prettig Pension, rustig gelegen. Schone kamers en een super ontbijt. Dank je Christine. Eerste dagen lag het bed niet lekker maar dit hebben ze na overleg goed verholpen. Het is wel wat gehorig maar verder top. Goede vakantie gehad.

The Real Austrian Ski Experience

If you're looking for a cozy place, with comfortable rooms, extremely clean bathrooms, incredible breakfast (better than in most American hotels!), wonderful views, joyous and excellent skiers, this is the place for you! We stayed 6 nights at Pension der Steinbock, and had an amazing time. It is a beautiful 10 minute walk to the ski lift, and a 5 minute taxi ride to the St Anton train station for €12. The staff were extremely kind, always joyous, and always helpful. We had to stay in St Anton an extra night because of an avalanche and heavy snow, and the staff were very kind in letting us stay, and even gave us a better room. For a brief week, we had a family in St Anton. Would absolutely recommend, and return!

Schönes, ruhiges Hotel in der Nähe des Skigebietes

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Eines muss ich lediglich bemängeln und zwar stand in unserem Wohnzimmer die Heizung recht niedrig wodurch wir dort etwas gefroren haben. Man konnte sie aber auch nicht verstellen. Aber das hat uns nichts ausgemacht. Denn wenn wir im Hotelzimmer waren, dann die meiste Zeit im Schlafzimmer, wo auch ein Fernseher stand :)

Habe ein upgrate zum Hotel Das Sonnbichl bekommen. Sehr gutes Preis/Leistung Verhältnis und sehr freundliches Personal. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.

Close to perfect

Been to St.Anton many times now and this was about the best place I've been. Our rooms were comfy and fairly large. Der Steinbock lays close to the busstop and just a short bustrip to nearest cable car, Nasserainbahn. Der Steinbock had great breakfast. I have only positive feedback except for one thing - when I booked through Expedia, I was told to pay the the hotel i local valuta. But when we came to pay with Euros the hotel said they already had taken money from my creditcard. This was our last day, so then we had to bring a lot of Euros back home to Norway. Not a big problem, but still pretty boring.
