Lovely room with some quirky design features. Location is close enough to town but through an industrial area. Felt safe enough though.
It’s a good hotel I would recommend
We only stayed here for a night and it was perfect for what we needed it for. If you have luggage, you can either take a taxi there or walk. The walk back to the train stations, town, and shops is gradually uphill but not bad. You are about 7-8 minutes away from the busier section of Zermatt which could be benefit as it is a little quieter but still easily accessible. Even with construction being done we didn’t have any issues! Host was great and came down to meet us and gave great recommendations!
Modern gadgetry
A very modern hotel with a DIY feel. The room was comfy and although being slightly out of the way from the main attractions it was close enough and was a good location.
We had an excellent stay! The place was spotless, and the host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Peaky Riders is a fantastic option in Zermatt. The sound of the river and fresh air was amazing. It’s out of the way, but still close enough to be back in town after a short walk. I would definitely stay again. The construction outside and bit of chaos on the road out front was only drawback.
We were able to check in early. Everyone was super helpful!
We had a wonderful stay!! Extremely clean, very simple to check in/out, and had all the amenities you could need. Had a great view. 5/5 stay, would recommend to anyone.
Small room and uncomfortable linen
My friend and I traveled to Zermatt for a couple days as part of our trip to Switzerland. Peaky Riders seemed to be one of the cheaper hotels in Zermatt, and it looked pretty modern. Unfortunately, we don't recommend. As a caveat, this review is for the twin room (river view) option, so we cannot speak for any of the other options. We knew we would be booking a smaller than average room, but we didn't expect it to be as small as it was. The listing noted that the twin room was 140 sq ft, but it was definitely smaller than that. To make matters worse, our air conditioning did not work because the thermostat knob was broken. When we asked one of the employees about it, she mentioned that she was going to fix it, but then she just insisted we could open our door to cool the room off. We slept with the door open because it was so hot, particularly on the top bunk. The shower has this water-saving feature that prevents the shower from staying on for more than around 20 seconds. Not too big a deal, but it's definitely a little annoying when you're trying to wash your hair/body. Lastly, the bedding was very uncomfortable and did not appear to have been cleaned recently. This was definitely the worst part of the stay. It made going to bed after a long day kinda miserable. Some of the pros: - the layout is updated/modern - the hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the city (and there was a free bus stop about 5 minutes away)
Fantastic little 2 night stay, highly recommend for a slightly cheaper option
Check in and check out not user friendly need human assistance.a bit remote but free bus stop is near by
Love it! It was so easy to check in and I had the mobile key to access my room, very nice and clean room and just 9min walking from train station.
Thank you Camille for a wonderful time spent at Peaky Riders. A fabulous and cosy place to stay and your warm and genuinely caring welcome really hit home with us. Our favourite lodgings and host from our week long travel through the Swiss Alps, topped off by you organising the clear and sunny weather for us to see the Matterhorn 😉
shower had a timer that lasted 27 seconds even though they said it lasted a few minutes. no do not disturb sign available and the staff felt the need to rearrange our items each day which was a bit invasive. smaller rooms than what was advertised but a nice view of the mountains.
Great experience.
It is straightforward to find and do yourself a check-in. The place is very new. It is situated on the main road. We enjoyed the river going by next to the hotel and the water sound from our window.
Thumbs up
Great value, very clean, easy check-in/out.
Very clean, pleasant staff
Stayed at the Peaky Raider Hotel and was thoroughly impressed! 🏨💫 The tech-savvy self check-in/out was a breeze, and the hotel's modernity was evident throughout. Impeccably clean, wonderfully quiet, and the balcony views were a delightful bonus. Convenience at its best! Highly recommend! 👍
First and last time I will use a self check-in. Was more like renting an air b&b. The rooms were small and could have used AC the day we stayed there as it was wamer than normal. Not having an onsite contact is a big negative and if you have any connectivity issues with your phone, you will be out of luck. For the rate and no staff, it was overpriced.
We loved our stay at Peaky Riders! It was a very clean and nice facility but the self check in was a bit confusing.
Stayed here during the summer season. The check in process was super smooth and the room and property were really easy to find; though a bit out of the way. The area where the hotel is located is drivable and next to the heliport so it can get a bit noisy. Free coffee and tea definitely a nice perk! Would recommend a stay here.
Horrible property management staff, clean property
The property is in a great location and the place was very clean, but we had very bad customer experience. The staff was rude. We faced two major issues - the shower stops after every 10 seconds and when we asked about this we were told it was a water saving feature that was supposed to turn off after every minute. The second issue was everytime you shower the water from the shower drains into the living room as there is no elevation difference between the shower and rest of bathroom and the bathroom and the main room. First of all this place has no person on site, it took me 20 mins to figure out how to reach out to property staff on phone and when I explained them the issue. This is the exact response I got - "If you want room service please book a 4 star hotel, this is not the place for folks who expect service for any issues" I think the management should clearly know how to speak to the customers at the least. Other than this, no other complaints.
It was very easy to check in and everything was very clean and convenient to use. They also had storage for bags. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. There is also a free bus close by which was nice too.
Great location and very clean
Great hotel, great views, great amenities
10/10 stay, and I don’t say that lightly. The easy check-in system that Peaky Riders has is great. Just a kiosk in the front entrance that will give you your room cards. The room is wonderful - the bed is VERY comfortable and the views speak for themselves. The bathroom is gorgeous and it was nice having a sizable TV! There was complimentary coffee in the lobby area which was also a huge perk! They also give you the option to keep your luggage in a safe housing area if you have more time in Zermatt after or before your stay at Peaky Riders. It is at the beginning of the town so do note you'll need to walk into the town a bit more to shop, eat, etc. BUT know you can walk the entire main area/town all within 15 minutes :) We loved starting the day with coffee and a little walk. As for getting to the hotel after arriving to Zermatt via train, it was an easy walk. All in all, great stay.
The room had all facilities
Because it is a self check hotel, it took a few minutes to figure out how to check in and unlock doors, etc. That said, everything is very intuitive. The were very helpful multilingual staff members on site to assist with questions. The room is spartan and quite small, but immaculately clean; the building itself is modern and beautiful. It is about a 10 minute walk from downtown Zermatt – 15 if you are toward the north side of town. That said, it is very walkable and safe. There is a free bus route that takes you to all points you would want to see. We will be staying there again.
Building and rooms are nice. Tight space and lots of construction going on nearby.
Beautiful new building. Not a big room but very nice and cosy. Everything you need. Would definitely stay again if in Zermatt. Cool character in the building. Very clean.
Camille is very accommodating making sure our stay is memorable. The place is very clean.
The whole staff (from the receptionist to the cleaning team) are very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much.
5 stars all the way around! GREAT hotel.
Very clean
Nice and clean. Camille who works at hotel was awesome. She helped us with travel tips and places to eat.
Fenomenal
12 min walk from train station, it’s a great value for the money, comfortable and modern, great option.
Das Dachzimmer ist extrem klein
Excelente lugar en Zermatt
Muy bien ubicado! Camille es una excelente host!

Einfach, sauber, gut Gerne wieder!
Für Kurzaufenthalte vollkommen in Ordnung
Moderne Unterkunft, unkompliziert

Staff was amazing and super helpful. We liked the ability to check in and out without needing to speak with anyone as well. Location was really nice on the river and rooms were clean and well put together. Ultimately had a good experience and would stay here again.
