Great, easy check in

Exemplary customer service. All staff were amazing. Reception was warm and friendly. The house keeping team were great at their job and also very helpful with fantastic manners. Everyone we onteracted woth were a credit to your Hotel. The beds were very confortable and the shower was amazing. The pool and spa were excellent.

We had a very large room at this property it was situated within 15 mins walk to centre of Christchurch Very quite except of tour groups dragging their bags early in the mornings

This is a very awkward hotel. My room had huge windows which theoretically would be great except it faces a parking on both sides. And so I felt very exposed with no privacy. I pulled the drapes closed at all times when I was in the room. However people could see you coming and going. It felt a little scary to me. I found the staff to be aloof when checking in and out. No interest in asking about my stay at all. Felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a guest. The restaurant is convenient and staff was nice. But it’s dark and uninviting. Bartender or manager was nice. Food was meh.

Had a wonderful time at Pavilions Hotel, Christchurch. Nice hotel rooms and great hospitality.

Nice place! Small pool but nice and the hot tub was lovely. Excellent restaurant on site as well. Friendly staff.

Excellent facilities

All of the staff were friendly, attentive & welcoming. The room was clean & spacious.

The separate bedrooms worked well for our family

Staff were helpful and friendly. They gave some good suggestions of things to do. The only thing is they could have water on the second floor instead of in the lobby. The rooms could also have a microwave. I understand they have a restaurant but still a microwave to warm up leftovers or other food is an extra that would would really helped. But overall it's a good hotel!

We liked the layout of the room. Nice kitchenette with stove top, fridge and microwave. Parking was available right in front of our room. Wonderful breakfast was included in our price.

Room was very spacious and nice. Staff at the front desk is friendly and accomodating.

We were here for a very short stay (late check in and and early morning check out). So, don’t get to spend too much time or explore. But a great place for the short night. The room is very small though.

Nice place! We only stayed there one night as we were driving through, but were well taken care of. Nice breakfast.

Great place to stay!

Bathroom was dated, needing a paint and regrouting. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Had a smell like a sewer pipe in the bathroom. Parking should be near the room, not around the back beside the rubbish area. Rooms need a bit of cutlery and plates. Not everyone wants to eat breakfast in the dining room.

There were building works going on & big dumpster bins near where we parked. Parking was a little tight but manageable.

Great property!

This is located in a great spot close to the centre of Christchurch. While the rooms were very good, the only thing I would mention is that some of them are a little odd shaped like our main bedroom being at an angle and cupboard behind the door. But that is only a minor thing. Location is great and very quiet. would be happy to go back.

Bathroom was really smelly so had to leave the windows open all night, I think it was the drains.

Arrival was very stressful..we couldnt find our room as it was outside the gate to property..we were upgraded to another room because of construction, getting our luggage up the stairs was abit tricky in the rain...Dinning in the staff dailed to offer us the kids menu.

Checked in on site in under a minute. Very friendly and efficient. Room clean and bed very comfortable. Good value. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed at this property for 1 night with family. This is not really a hotel - more of a motel! The room was very small, the bathroom was TINY! No great amenities in room either. Overall, best to avoid this hotel.

The lakeside room is the best part

Great place starting to get a bit dated.

Although this property has been operating for many years we were pleasantly surprised at how well the upkeep of the facilities were. Our room was newly renovated to a lovely standard. Super clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.

Our room was spotlessly clean, perfect. Heating was very effective & there was lots of spaces to put our travel bits & pieces. Pillows were very comfortable.

We have stayed many times and the staff are always amazing! Restaurant is cozy with a good menu, and the buffet breakfast has everything a person could want. My children always have a swim in the pool, and it seemed more heated than usual this visit, which was a pleasant surprise on a chilly evening!

This hotel, charged me for room, even though I had confirmed with email that I had payed already, other than that, I enjoyed using the spa and sauna, room was tidy enough, but to many other rooms close by, so noise was problem, with others at 6:30am on a Sunday morning, I will not be staying here again if I can help it

A great place to stay me and my wife stayed here as our son is starting uni staff very helpful restaurant was great room was very nice clean and smelled lovely. And very well priced for your hard earned money . will recommend and stay here again in a heart beat and they have a spa which works as well. a great spot thank you all so much .

NZ holiday with friends

Pavilions is on a busy street but our rooms were quiet. Convenient walking distance to pubs/restaurants. Great dinner at Jimmy’s. Fascinating venue; great food & drink. Our room had a table & ashtray outside the bedroom window so we had to contend with smokers outside our room- had to shut all the windows. Hooks on back of bathroom door to hang towels needed. Frosted glass or louvres in bathroom needed due to proximity to main road. Prompt attention from room service was appreciated re: fresh towels etc. One of our two couches/ sofa beds was broken when we arrived. Amiable and courteous staff.

Suited our needs

Parking would be the only (minor!) issue. It appeared to be quite busy, so parking outside the room wasn't always available. Having mentioned that, parking was available at various locations in and around the hotel so never had to walk more than 30 seconds to the room.

I live on the West Coast and always stay at Pavillions when we go over the hill to Christchurch. It is consistently good, lots of rooms and ample parking. The parking is secure, with gates on the back of the property which are securely locked at night. Very handy to everything in Christchurch, great restaurant, just an overall good hotel.

One of the nicest property in the middle of city with free parking

Room was excellent. Pool and spa area was great. Close to town and shops. Definitely recommend.

Great price

The hotel room we had was clean and very spacious. We overall liked the hotel, except guests can smoke outside of their room in the property. We had a few men who smoked cigarettes all the time below our room. So that was not pleasant at all. I told the hotel staff. They said they did not reinforce no smoking in the property so guests were allowed to smoke in the balcony. Another issue is parking. Although they provide onsite free parking. So people have huge pickup trucks that made impossible to park. That needs more regulation as well. The hotel is about 30 minutes on food to the town center.
