I stayed here because it is close to line2 subway station, science and technology museum, underground shopping, and century park.

Not many choices in restaurants on site and the morning breakfast was ok. I would definitely pick a lower-level floor as you can breathe the smog on the upper floor in your room.

The hotel itself is fine, but the surrounding area leaves much to be desired. There are limited dining options nearby, and the lack of nearby attractions makes it feel quite isolated. Unless you have specific reasons for staying in this particular location, I would recommend exploring other options.

Very good place to stay

Very nice and clean hotel. About 20-25min from the downtown area. Costs approx. Yuan 25-30 for a taxi to get there. Staff super friendly, they are ok speaking in English. Everything I needed could be communicated and has been answered. It is a 4-star hotel.

Awesome service

The staff were welcoming and the service was great. My kid was sick on arrival. The staff offered early chek-in and upgraded to family room for us. The location is good and easy to get around.

Good hotel for doing business activities in Shangh

Very good hotel, real close to metro station of line 2, which is connecting all city.

Staff st the desk helped me with a change and location for shopping was within walking distance -but not for restaurants or sight seeing -you would have to cab or metro to get to those places but also easy to get to

Parkview Hotel Pudong Shanghai

The hotel was in reasonable location with inly a few metro stops to the Exhibition Halls that I was visiting. There is a small park area across the road which was pleasant and cooling in the heat of the day. I visited a nice restaurant a short walk away where I met an old friend of mine from Xian. There were no restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Would absolutely be happy to stay here again when visiting Pudong.

Nice stay

Metro is ~7-10mins by walking. Room is spacious and clean. Overall, comfortable stay.

Great but..

The only reason we are not giving this a 5 star rating is because on our checkout we were accused of spilling something on the carpet! Location is close to the AP Plaza but not so close to much else. Nice hotel though!

Good Hotel

This hotel is more of a businessman’s hotel than tourist, purely because of it’s location, some 10 kms from central Shanghai. It suited us perfectly, as we had been on a 2 week cruise, finishing in Shanghai and flying out the next day. We have been to Shanghai several times before and just needed a relaxing hotel, which was relatively close to Pudong airport. The hotel was very nice, staff very friendly and one or two on Reception spoke good English, so it was easy to get what we needed. There is also an underground station about 10 minutes walk, at the Natural Science Museum (as well as a knock off market), so it would be easy to get into town. Our room only cost about $Au129 per night through hotel booking site, so would be good value for travellers who were staying in Shanghai for a few days and were prepared to take the train to see the sights.

Biz trip, nothing spectacular but good hotel.

It was a good hotel and generally, staff was courteous. Have to take a taxi out for meals and sightseeing. I love the bath tub, best bath tub I have encountered by far.

Excellent facility, poor English capabilities

Overall facility is excellent, although staff English capability were limited. A free upgrade to suite room was offered, which was awesome. Don't miss the breakfast option even when check-in. A buffet from Western style to Asian is nice to experience high-quality local dishes. Would had been better if they had a nice coffee.

11/12/17 stay...

Place is a stone throw away from the "fake" good shopping street. Good place for some causal shopping do remember to slash price by 50%. Nearby have no cafe / place for food. Only place for food will be at hotel lobby.

AIr conditioner broke down. No compensation.

I woke up at 1am to the room being 80+F. I called the front desk and they sent 2 guys but after an hour of messing around ....to no avail. They recommended opening a window and offered me a fan. I had to get up at 4:30a for a flight so it would have been pointless to suggest changing rooms. The night clerk said they would credit my stay. In the morning the girls at the desk (who spoke limited English) said because I'd booked via the third party (Orbitz) they could NOT do the credit. I understood this...so emailed the hotel upon my return home. OF course, there has been no return email from anyone there. I'm sure my opinion would be different if the AC had not shut down and/or if the desk staff had comp'd the room as promised .... but given what occurred I cannot recommend this hotel.

Quiet hotel to stay

The hotel is nice, although a bit more expensive. It is by a park, in a quiet neighborhood, but nothing is around. Luckily, there is a chinese restaurant in the hotel and the food is good, on the expensive side though. Overall stay is comfortable and relaxing.

Hotel facilities much nicer than staff

As most of the other reviews have stated, the preferred language used here is Mandarin instead of English, which is alright for me when dealing with simple requests as I can speak simple Mandarin, but frustrating when I had more complex requests and chose to use English. The location is about a 7-minute walk from the Shanghai Science and Technology Musuem (which isn't too far off from the main Shanghai area) and has nothing around it, except that it is a short 10-minute taxi ride from the SNIEC, as I was attending an event there. I would only recommend this if you need to go to the SNIEC and don't have any other options. You can get much nicer hotels, with a better location at a lower price elsewhere.

Comfort but inconvenience

Commercial area, no shopping centre, no restaurant, no convenience store nearby, everywhere need to call taxi to go, peak hour can't call taxi. Inconvenience

Spacious rooms & hospitable staff but location...

I chose this hotel because on the map it shows it is fairly close to NYU Shanghai campus which is where I need to be. Upon check in, the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the bellhops. Our room was spacious with a wonderful view of Pudong skyscrapers. The bathroom has separate shower/bath though design was a bit on the small scale. Bath tub was very narrow and uncomfortable and shower tend to leak, but they provide full bottles of bath foam & shampoo which was nice. The amenities included a restaurant on the premises and spa/salon service though both were overpriced. A small gym is also available on the 4th floor. The large king size bed was a tad bit short, being a 5'7" frame my feet barely hung over the edge. My only complaint would be the transportation. The location is in the middle of a business/office area. You would need to walk a few long blocks to reach the nearest metro station. Thus, we relied on the bellhop to order us a taxi using his phone app similar to Uber in China. If you don't have a local number or speak Chinese, you are out of luck! The only other restaurant located within walking distance is a local Shanghainese chain restaurant that is way overpriced and a Starbucks.

Great business hotel!!

The hotel was absolutely perfect...they have a pillow menu so you can choose your scent(or not) and the softness or firmness. Shower and bath tub in room were huge. Breakfast buffet downstairs was enormous with lots of Chinese food the try and of course Canadian regular fare Close to subway and bus for an experience, but also cans are chesp

Elevator for parking is not reasonable, need to make one elevator directly to parking.

Close to Nothing

If you are going to the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, then this would be an ideal choice since its right there. But if not, then this hotel is far from anything. No restaurants within walking distance, not even a food stall. And it's eerie at night. For a city of 22 million, no one seems to be living there. No visible apartment buildings of any kind in the vicinity. Hotel is very typical Chinese. Lack of style with a soulless feel. It has absolutely no character. The look of the lobby and the guest rooms seemed to be trapped in the 80s. I asked for a smokeless room that was away from the elevators. Of course, my room was placed right next to the elevators. When I complained, I was offered a smoking room that was away from the elevators. When I complained again about how cigarette smells affect my asthma, I was offered another smoking room. After ten minutes of back and forth, in which the front manager insisted that the smoking room had no smell, he finally gave me a smoke free room. Needless to say, this was quite frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel.

good hotel but lack facilities

it was comfortable. Wifi free only in lobby. It should be free hotel wide.very small gym. Rooms are ok . Location not great as you need the taxi to everywhere.

Tried hard to sell an upgrade

Overall good value for the money; just at beginning a hick-up as they tried hard to sell me an upgrade and "wireless" internet service. They "forgot" to mention that the room has a free cable internet service. It's a quite hotel; a little remote; breakfast is very expensive at app$45

Overall very nice hotel and location. Close to subway and Orental Art center in Shanghai. Good for family and business travel. Only set back is when I check out, I asked hotel personal for a taxi, and they called a taxi for me, but the taxi driver heard I am not going to the Air port, he is very mad, I guess the hotel person and the taxi driver have some deal, in Shanghai, the red colored taxi is not very good, and in this case, the taxi he called for me is a red colored.

was my 2nd stay there..same problem ..they shut the a/c plant at night and cant sleep well.

Parkview Hotel - Shanghai

We stayed here our last night in China because the location is reasonably convenient to Pudong Airport and also close to downtown. Very nice property; friendly and accomodating staff; excellent bed; perhaps the best coffee I have ever had in a hotel restaurant (important to an early morning departure)! I will definitely visit again.

A very New Hotel

Reasonable price for a real 4-star (American standard!) hotel. Only negatice comment: No real A/C, management set room temp at 24C, cannot be lowered(we were there mid-April). One has to open the window... but your room can be unbearably warm if you are on the sunny side.

Parkview Hotel Shanghai

Very good value for money. Was in Shanghai for Business at New expo and it was very conveniently located for that. Rooms were large and clean and quite new. Staff speak good English. Good variety for breakfast. Was very happy with the stay and would recommend this hotel.

Highly Recommended

Very clean and comfortable hotel. It's almost 40-50 km from Pudong airport but very closed to new expo area. If you are visiting Shanghai for expo I highly recommend this hotel.

I'll comeback always when I'm in Shanghai

An excellent hotel, people are very cooperative and will help you all the way from register to check out. However I was confused between the standard room and the deluxe room. Finally I found that one has a better view than the other. The hotel is situated on a very nice place. I have been in this hotel 4 times already and for sure will be my next pick up. Taxis are very inexpensive in Shanghai so you are from everywhere. As most hotels you can find better price/quality rate outside, but again, the service is very good and spacious. You feel the comfort of most of the classy hotels around the world.

Parkview Hotel Comments

Hotel well designed with well furnished and equipped rooms. The condition and cleanliness was very good in all areas. Although the hotel is located in a good quality area there are not really any interesting restaurants or shopping malls/individual shops in the immediate area . There is a large market located at the metro station some 15 minutes walk from the hotel ,which also has some restaurants within it and a very large area dedicated to shops selling pearls and pearl jewellery. The metro gives efficient and very cheap access to all the key areas in the city, most of which will take around 25 minutes to reach using the metro.

Good business hotel

The hotel was well located in Pudong for our needs, convenient to the International Expo Center (with a free shuttle to it). Clean, well-maintained, efficient, pleasant staff (at least some of whom spoke reasonable English), near to but less expensive than the Sofitel. The rooms were in good condition, nice marble bathroom and flat-screen TV. Decent breakfast buffet, though pricey (as those targeting foreign business people tend to be). Easy walking distance to the metro. I would go back there.

주변에 식당 및 쇼핑할곳이 없습니다

Our stay was enjoyable especially for their free upgrade offer, and the hotel staff was nice and friendly. The only drawback is that only a few people could speak English at the front desk, and the bar and restaurant staff couldn't understand what I tried to say. I wanted to charge my breakfast fee to my room, but they couldn't understand my English, and eventually, I needed to pay it with my credit card every morning while I stayed for 4 days. It is fine with me. Just a bit annoying to do the same thing for 4 days.

출장 목적으로 이용 대략만족

상하이 출장목적으로 이용하게되었는데 출장이. 목적이다보니 바로앞 공원이 있는데토 이용못해 아쉽네요, 대체로 만족합니다.

방안의 밝기가 너무 어두웠습니다. 눈의 피로감이 느껴졌어요.. 주위에 음식점이 없어 조금 불편했지만 그것 말고는 다 괜찮았습니다.

日本語は通じませんが、一生懸命対応してくれました。英語と中国語は通じます。ホテルは清潔で、夜は公園の近くなので人通りが少ないですが、わりと安全そうでした。コンビニなどが近くにないので、駅のコンビニで買い物をしたり、ルネッサンス上海の方まで歩いてでかけていました。次回また仕事で行く際は利用したいと思います。 気に入った点 ・シャワーとバスタブが分かれている ・アイロンが置かれている ・公園の周りだから静か

전시회장이랑 가깝네요, 다만 걸어서 갈수있는 거리에 아무것도 없어요. 다른곳에서 뭘 사서 호텔에 들어가야해요.. 주변 시설이 별로인것 외에 호텔은 괜찮았습니다

とても良いホテルです、地下駐車場から直通で各フロアへ行けるので、便利です。部屋の掃除も整えてます。ホテル周りは緑がいっぱいで、良い環境でした。また次回も利用したいです。

価格を基準に考えると、施設や設備は整っていると感じました。ホテルの周囲は緑が豊富でくつろげました。 但し、2日目の朝、トイレの流れがかなり不調でした。中国のホテルではよくあることなので対処できましたが、上海のこのランクのホテルとしては残念だったと感じます。 幹線道路に面した側の部屋だったため、時間帯によっては車の走行音が気になりました。

거실과방이 나눠있고 침대 사이즈도 크고 전체 사이즈에 비해 가성비 아주 좋습니다. 창가쪽 방이어서 그런지 히터를 틀어도 온도가 올라기지는 않지만 따뜻하게 입고 자 추위를 많이 느끼지는 못했습니다. 푸동 중심가에서 택시로 이용해야하고 관광지와는 거리가 좀 있습니다
