Comfort in the Jungle

The only reason I couldn't give this hotel 10 overall rating is because the management seemed cold and uncaring, but the staff was great, friendly and helpful. The management had given my room (that I had booked 4 or 5 months earlier) out to some other couple (probably because of the big convention that was in town). Only after expressing my opinion in a very unhappy tone of voice did they come up with the room that I had reserved. At the rivers edge is a trail that will take you to the elephant bathing beach only 100 meters away. Free entertainment to watch or $2 to get in the water, help scrub, or even get on and let the elephants give you a shower! The hotel can make arrangements for all the tours, safari and canoe rides for you. Probably, one of the more comfortable hotels in town to stay at, unless you want the jungle feeling. I would probably stay here again if I ever return to Chitwan area.

Be careful when booking for a family

We booked a 3 night stay for 3 people ( two adults one teenager). A day before we arrived I called to confirm everything and the hotel claimed they only saw a booking for two people. I confirmed I saw three people in my booking and asked the hotel to reach out to hotels.com to sort out the issue before our arrival. When we arrived I showed our 3 person booking confirmation but was told the room we booked only had one double bed and that in order to accomdate our 3 person booking I needed to pay $25.00 more per night. After the hotel made several calls to higher management and hotel.com they are blaming hotel.com for allowing a booking for 3 people for a double room. They continued to demand $75 if we wanted an extra bed. We refused to pay since we specified we had 3 in our party when we booked. We ended up all sleeping in one small bed. Hotel was at a great location but common areas were not air conditioned and air conditioning was turned on only when we came into the resturant which took a long time to cool down. We had a great view on the forth floor but it required 8 flights of stairs in the jungle heat. (no elevator)

Stay elsewhere- not worth the money -rude staff

Staff are rude. Pool was cleaned during the day which meant it couldn't be used for the day as chemicals are added. When the pool was open it was a game to get a pool towel. Garden parties until 1am (really loud) when you call reception they laugh or hang up, non apologetic or considerate (when getting up for an early safari starting at 6am, not what you want) we had laundry done and this was returned late the night before an early departure, as this was neatly wrapped we put in the case as was only to find when we got to the next location it was soaking wet still (had to have re washed). Breakfast is described as Buffett. We are here twice first morning we were told it was al a cart, we asked for a menu and was told there wasn't one and we could have only an omelet with different fillings. 2nd day was buffet, it was ok. Please also not breakfast doesn't start till 7 so if your doing safaris etc you will miss breakfast (needs to start earlier). Overall I would not receive and would advise to stay elsewhere, for cheaper, better facilities and nicer staff.

The best hotel in Chitwan

I have been sick so didn't do much in Chitwan. The Park View Resort was such a lovely place to recover. I had a lovely room on the 3rd floor with a balcony with a beautiful view of the river. Breakfasts were very good.

Great stay

We had a great overall stay. When we got there, the staff couldn't find our reservation, but handled it very professionally. We were put in the rooms we asked for and once I showed them my copy of my hotels.com confirmation, it didn't come up again. The staff also arranged for my family to go on an elephant safari which was great. We didn't have to go outside the hotel to arrange any of our plans. The restaurant served good, reasonably priced food. My one complaint would be their beds weren't as comfortable as we hoped. They weren't bad, but not what we hoped. Overall, it was a great stay and we will book there again.

Property is advised as offering free WiFi however this service was pretty poor in the room as well as in the lobbies. We had to go to another restaurant in order to use their WiFi’s. Staff were pretty unhelpful when we queried about the WiFi. Nevertheless it has to be noted that staff in the restaurant of the hotel were very helpful. They set up table and chairs outside so we could eat in the outside area. In terms of cleaniness- we found two big spiders in our room. I know this is a safari resort but we would not expect a luxurious hotel to have spiders in the room. Hotel offered pick up and drop in service from the bus station which was nice. However when they provided the drop off we were asked to share seats with 4 other people in a 5 seater car. This meant that I was sharing seats with my other

The Park Safari is a nice hotel just off the main street in Chitwan with some rooms facing the river. The setting is relatively idyllic if you are facing the river-otherwise your over the parking lot. Our room was large and comfortable with lots of hot water-always a nice feature in Nepal. The room includes breakfast which was very good with both western and local options. We also ate dinner in the restaurant on two nights and our experience was very good-the food was well prepared and the staff were excellent. The property has a large pool overlooking the river which we didn't use as the temperature was just a little cool for swimming-others did however swim and seemed to enjoy it. Our only complaint centred around the pool. We stayed for three days and on the first day there were no chairs around the pool which seemed strange given its views. On the second day chairs appeared. We took advantage of the opportunity to sit by the water after returning from a jungle walk. When we got up to go in the seats of our shorts were covered in paint-the chairs had been painted the day before but there was no sign to indicate that fact. We were upset and spoke to the manager but he was not accepting any responsibility. He did send my wife shorts to the laundry but of course they were wrecked as were mine. Accidents happen, but the managers unwillingness to accept any responsibility for placing chairs by the pool with wet paint was disappointing and coloured our view of the property

Amazing relaxing and beautiful hotel!!

Amazing stay and amazing place. The staff is excellent. Best hotel I stayed in all of nepal. The owner is very sweet and they made us all the food we requested even though it wasn’t on the menu. I am very excited for their grand opening and highly recommend anyone to stay here who wants a clean, safe and extremely relaxing time in Chitwan area. The pool is nice and warm and very scenic for sunset. I have no doubt that this is the nicest place you could stay in this area. Perfect to rest after a safari trek like we did. Fully recommend this place to anyone.

Park Safari Resort Chitwan (4 nights) The staff: The staff was very nice, willing to listen! This last was very needed. The rooms could have better care. Lack of towels, dust, worn out bedlinen, leaking on the sink, lack of warm water, lack of glasses, little soaps and VERY noisy. (Simple strip under room door would help) With arrival the sinks in the rooms were not tight to the wall. Sewer air comes up and full stank. I solved myself the issue with butting plastic bags as seal around the drain in the wall. The shower is nice design shower, only thing is that all is wet after showering. The hotel has a modern style, causing many unpractical ¨Solutions!! Noise coming from the hall way from the stones. We were luckily awake when 16 Chineses dragging and rolling their suitcases from the stairs.. at 06:15. The rooms 209 and 211 are over the restaurant and under a meeting room. Cotton knobs under chairs and tables would help tremendously !! Swimming pool: The hotel had no luck with this. On the insects we saw it was not well maintained and due controlled fire at the Wild Resort many ash landed in the pool. When we wanted to swim we had to ask for cleaning. Day after the managed to get it cleaned !! (Listening staff!!) Thank you for this. Breakfast: It is no luxury breakfast, only instant coffee!! Maybe satisfying a local tourist, unfortunately not fully satisfying us. As well here the staff will do anything for you. We got breakfast package on our safari day when we left ve
