The room was very well refurbished, basically as new. Great review view.
Stay…. Away
The room I was in looked very old and worn. Bathroom probably untouched since the 80s. There is major construction next door which is noisy. After paying for the booking I was told the pool is out of service because it is being repaired. Nothing inviting about this hotel.
The service received to arrange late check in was just terrible and caused such unnecessary stress as was completely avoidable. The apartment was incredibly disappointing, unclean, scruffy as a whole including scuffs all over the walls, wonky cabinets with screws loose, staples on the floor and ripped bedding, mould in bathroom, the sofa was just quite simply gross and needed some serious cleaning. I could go on but essentially I didn’t think I got my moneys worth here. Further to this, the pool is out of service, not mentioned anywhere on Expedia and the hotel is undergoing maintenance/ works so you will hear building works. The positive is its location, 5 min walk from Roma st station and walking distance to south Brisbane and other points of interest.
Carpet dirty, very run down apartment which is awful considering I paid over 300 for the night
The overall room was sort if clean, but with a heavy layer of dust and debris under furniture.
Staff very helpful and understanding. Efficient and welcoming
Too noisy and dirty bathroom
Wonderful, quiet stay that was more comfortable than expected. Staff was kind and helpful.
cbn
People from reception were really nice and helpful
very noisy beeping outside most of the time - kept me awake. place needs a bit of a face light - e.g. doors to rooms need a paint job reception staff both on arrival and departure very good - polite, professional, friendly. close to West End - lovely walk over the Jolly bridge - close to theatre, close to Art gallery, etc.
Not a 4 star hotel
The hotel is not at all a 4 star hotel. I have stayed at other sister properties and this one is far behind the level of service. It was ok for what it was needed somewhere to sleep but that is all. Walls and hallways need a good clean and fresh paint but the highlight of the stay was the need to kill the oversized cockroaches in the bedroom. Good things about the stay comfortable bed and couch slept on both. Staff are approachable and helpful and the location is a good distance for a nice walk to or from the city. For what it is the hotel is fine just a shock and little disappointed from what I thought I was getting compared to sister properties. 5/10
Excellent location for walking to shopping/ dining and well locate for transport. However, no onsite dining - other than for breakfast. Poor water pressure in shower. Building and facilities somewhat dated
Very nice unit could do with a little repairs in a few spots. But we were happy.
Peaceful
Beautiful views. Could do with a deep clean to take care of issues like mould in the bathroom and air con vent, and built up dust about shower vent. A few improvements to furniture would make this hotel A . But as it is, good for the price point.
The room was adequate for a one night stay. Was clean and comfortable, but it obviously is a little tired. Water damage to bathroom door and scuff marks on the paintwork in the room.
it was close to everything
property was great for what I needed it for
A
Dirty
Full of flies (about 100+) in my toilet , horrible!!!
Nice property
Very nice for the price and handy walk to the city
I liked that the venue was close to the conference. I thought more a 3 star. The view was amazing. Clean and functional missing that nice side. Ok for overnight, would not enjoy a week there.
The view was amazing
Good central location. Nice views from room.Quick and easy check in and out.
City week
Great location 4 mins from Roma station, spacious room with kitchen, washing machine & separate bedroom.
I ahve always liked this property. Great location. Brilliant room sizes. Incredible views. My only criticism is that the beds are probably due for upgrading.
Great stay experience. Challenges and confusion with online pre-checkin process. Customer service was helpful though.
Handy location
Handy location, good view. A bit noisy
Awesome view. The shower in the room is a bit old but passable.
The location proximity to Roma St station is good. Its in a more iscolated part of the city & there was often randoms hanging about out the front of the hotel at night. I got down one morning to reception to find some guy's having a nap on the couches in the foyer & reception trying to confirm if they were checking in. The immediate area does not have alot to offer unless you walk into the city centre or caxton st, say around 10-15min walk. The hotel doesnt present terrible at reception but the room i got was extremely run down. The bathroom smelt like mould & like someone had smoked in there. Due to the age of the bathroom, it didnt look very clean. It's very close to Roma St, you hear alot of train noise & sirens. The gym..well lets say its equipment from the 80's, all the cardio equipment wasnt plugged in & had something broken on it. No yoga mats or free weights. It was a bit disappointing, but it is on the cheaper scale of hotels in this area.
The bedroom was tiny very difficult for my 97yr old mum with her walker. Lots of dirty marks on the walls etc (luckily I photographed all damage and unclean areas) my bond still has not been released even though I was told it would be released this morning, phoned re this still not released. I’m glad my photos are date & time stamped. Receptionist on arrival was not very pleasant or helpful. I would definitely NOT stay here again
Very easy access to suncorp stadium and southbank
Was an okish place to stay.
Unfortunate experience
Unfortunately the apartment we were given was in extremely poor condition, the hotel clerk couldn't care less and told me "I just work here" I wouldn't be happy to pay for it that's for sure.
Park Regis North Quay - Great hotel and location
The hotel and stay were excellent. The only thing that kept us from giving it a perfect score was that it did not have a restaurant.
Great location, good price, parking was full but had time to wait for someone to leave but so tight only just able to drive around and length a huge issue, room looking tired needs a bit of love.
Main problem is lack of restaurants in walking distance. A/C not working correctly and the paperwork that I printed off in the Expedia sight did not mention about paying for parking.
check in/out size of apartment - parking - no restaurant - tv in bedroom but no remote
Lovely views, that's about it. After booking, we were notified that the pool and BBQ area were being upgraded. It would have been nice to have had that knowledge before. Not that hard to find and easy to get around. However, parking is more than just limited it is tight. Only 2 levels of parking with many spots being reserved. There appears to be one path that is only just wider than a car, so not looking forward to meeting a car coming in as I try to leave. No mention of paid parking until after we have checked in and it is on the paperwork for $32 a night. The quality of the rooms were sub standard. Broken handle on a bathroom draw, cobwebs above the shower, dirty tiles in back corner of shower, very dirty and possibly mouldy vents on each air-conditioner, bedside table draw slides out by itself which I have hit my knee on getting up during the night, inside glass door on stove had splatter marks, room safe in the closet has no batteries making it just an open box, laminate peeled off kitchen cupboard doors. No, we will not be staying here again.
Very good hotel. Clean and spacious room. Nice and cloae to suncorp stadium.
The view and the fire drill
This was our second time for staying there and I do recommend the Park Regis. We did have a bit of trouble with the taps in the shower but were only there one night this time so managed and am sure they will get fixed.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in the Brisbane CBD. Staff were exceptionally helpful, room was definitely first class. We have already booked a room for our next visit
Comfortable and convenient to Brisbane CBD.
Received a msg 2hrs before check in that parking was already full & we’d have to park elsewhere. We went to check in 20 mins after the stated check in time of 2pm, our room wasn’t ready along with many other ppl. We had to wait an additional 40 mins. We did however receive a bottle of wine for the troubles which was a nice gesture. The hotel and room had an odd smell, the drain in our bathroom was quite smelly. Whole place not overly clean. Beds were not comfortable. Old furniture and tv boxes piled high outside the back entry/exit door. Rooms are not soundproof. On a positive the river view rooms have a great view of river & city. Would I stay here again, probably not.
Our room had surpassed our expectations until the air con in our room was faulty. After telling our duty manager Nell of the problem, she was able to assist straight away and moving us to a new room. They were also able to cater to our early morning leave request
Airconditioner was not working. Room was hot. We used the electric fan. I told the person in the reception but he said, he cannot do anything about it. I asked for a room change but he said they are booked. Not so happy customer. Junaila The room is quite old
It’s been a week, please give me my $100 bond back. Not sure why you took a bond when there’s no “extras” to buy No cups in the gym either
Cockroaches and bugs more common than not. AC barely worked.
Great stay
Great view. Comfy beds and sofs. Big enough apartment.
Whole place needs a lick of paint and you need to service your air conditioning units
View of Brisbane river
No pool access during Summer.
Positives - location is good and there are street parking options which are cheaper than the hotel. Negatives - 1. The only reason we booked this particular hotel was because of the pool. Pool is closed for renovations in summer and no mention of this when we booked or when we did the online pre-checkin. If we knew this was the case we would have cancelled the booking ahead of time to avoid being stuck here. 2. Don't stay in room 121. The smell in the room is terrible, smells like old garbage and mold. A/C unit has not been serviced in a long time and needs the air filter replaced. 3. Hotel room had two TVs, the one in the bedroom has not remote so no way to use it. 4. Good view of the river but no way to use it. You have to stand at the window if you want a view.
Property is under refurbishment right now. Swimming pool is out of action and there is no restaurant. Oct 2023
The Park Regis is a nice hotel , but is disadvantaged by it's location. Although nearby to Roma Street station , there are limited food opportunities in walking distance.
Great location and good rate.
Apartment with awesome river views
Fabulous, spacious apartment with amazing views over the Brisbane river. Very clean and modern.
Easy access and great views
Room had cockroaches and dirty bedding. Never stay here.
The room suited my needs adequately. However, the grout in the shower needs replacing as it is almost entirely mouldy and peeling. Additionally, the shower drains VERY slowly, verging very close to the edge of flooding the bathroom. The screen on the window in the bathroom was filthy and there was rubbish from previous guests on the windowsill in the bathroom as well. The alarm clock in the room had a wireless charging point which came in very handy when i realised i had fogotten my phone charger.
Nice and close to the cbd and train station. Please was clean and tidy. The air con wasn't working the first night in the living area and the bedroom one was on but doing nothing. I asked reception next day for someone to have a look at it. Someone came up within the hour and we both noticed the one in the living room was on which was strange. It could have been someone that dropped off towels got it working. He didn't look at the one in the bedroom which I think does need fixing. But the room was more livable after that. Overall a nice property to stay at and will do again next time in Brisbane
Wonderful views from my room.
Convenient, clean, spacious room
Reception staff-member went out of his way to ensure taxi attended in good time.
Great location and price
One night stay
Nice hotel on the Brisbane river conveniently close to Suncorp stadium. Comfortable unit with king size bed but as most of them a bit soulless. Well equipped with little kitchen and appliances. Large old fashioned airco made it a bit airless as you can't open windows. For the rest no complaints and views were stunning.
Really struggled with parking as our car was over the height restriction and with a little one it made parking a nightmare as we had to walk a street with luggage and an infant. Aircon in main room didn’t appear to work which made the apartment got and stuffy.
Very close to Roma st station and shopping Nice view of the river from my spacious room
Woken at 3am in the morning by an evacuation alarm and no explanation as to why
The rooms are nice and spacious, beds are comfortable, great views of the river, traffic noise the only negative
Stayed one night. Great value and nice location.
Great property to stay at so close to everything ,walking distance to shops ,Suncorp Stadium ,restaurants etc the staff were fabulous ,very clean room and great views of the city .I would highly recommend this property.
Old and tired Hotel, didn't feel value for $
Clean, functional with a fantastic view. Easy access to everything - a great place to stay overnight in Brisbane when you have southbank or city events.
Fortunately the bed was comfortable but the room was really shabby with really dirty carpet and shower ran water all over floor. No breakfast or dining available in hotel or close by. Won’t be using this hotel again
Best thing about this property was the staff - helpful and friendly. Location is fine as close to CBD but 24 hour traffic noise, as well as noisy air conditioning unit make sleep close to impossible.
A good location for where we needed to be. Very basic, but had what we needed.
Great location for SunCorp, shame about the room
The location is ideal for attending SunCorp Stadium and the action in Caxton St. The view of the river from the room was amazing Unfortunately the rooms in the Park Regis are a bit tired and in need of some TLC. The pool area is a concrete water filled hole, no shade or ambience. Overall a bit of disappointing stay.
Our room was fine except we had been promised an extra bed for one night and then told in the morning that it was impossible in that room and the hotel was full so my daughter couldn’t stay at all. Kinda ruined a big part of the trip.
I found the hotel to be very close to Roma Street Station as I was flying overseas and needed to use the Skyrail to the International terminal. Have stayed here before and always enjoyed my stay.
Check-in was smooth and quick with no fuss. The room was superb in size and very welcoming with lights left on for me. The bed was magnificent. The lounge area was spacious and the bathroom was nicely set out.
Nice river views
Good location close to station and river. Nice view to the river. The trafic noise is bit disturbing in the night in the lower levels. The bathroom was a bit weary and let the air in from the street.
No instructions on air conditioning function. Window blinds not functioning. No cushions for comfort in the lounge are. Restaurant not functioning. Friendly staff in reception.
Not much. The guy at reception was good
Location near QPAC, lovely view
I love Park Regis. This was my first time staying & i didn't want to leave. Stayed only one night for some peace & quiet while i prepared for a very important video interview. You cannot beat the views from every window. Brisbane city is so beautiful to me & you get to see it in all its glory at this property even on a cloudy day. The bed was so comfortable, i literally am going go buy the mattress topper they use. I pulled up all the linen to find the name of it. The shower, was amazing, i love the fridge & freezer put into the cabinetry. The couch was super comfy. I never got a chance to use half the facilities i wanted as i was too focused on my tasks for that day. I have no cons, maybe if I'm trying to be picky? Soundproofing would elevate this hotel to exceptional. I already would buy a unit there because i just love it. I dont care that its a bit old, its perfect to me
Close to amenities
Good location and price was reasonable. Lots of noise (doors being opened and closed) going on at the time of my stay so didn’t enjoy it really.
Did not appreciate having to pay $100 bond on top of room cost which can take up to 7 days to refund. Ridiculous!
Great place to stay overnight, suited our needs for location perfectly. The reception staff are so friendly and welcoming.
Good for money. Close to railway station.
Last few days in Australia
Amazing, the friendliest Reception greeting ever, Tahana so helpful. Kind, lovely disposition and professional
Views superior, room size excellent but no restaurant and although given a late checkout of noon, they started jackhammering in the unit above us at 10am. There was no notification prior to booking OR even on arrival. Disappointing lack of communication. Will not be coming back or recommending to any of our friends.
It was a great experience!
Worth staying at.
Everything was brilliant and they went above and beyond to help. We chose it originally just for location but now would stay there again because it was so good.
We stayed in one of the small apartments… Is this place amazing? Absolutely not. Is it terrible? Also no. Pros : location, having a kitchenette, elevator so it’s easily accessed, sofa & table & chairs, fridge, kettle, microwave, bed was large & comfortable. Cons : front desk staff -we stayed there 4 nights & they were all super rude. The hotel is tired - chips on the walls, cockroach in the bathroom, big hole in insect guard, holes on the blinds (not ideal when trying to get a baby to sleep) , the room stank… we ran out of toilet roll. Called reception a number of times to get it replaced but they didn’t answer. Ice cube trays in freezer were filthy, the pool was woeful; we didn’t even swim in it. The outside part is in dire need of a refurbishment. I see the manager responds to reviews - which is great. However, you’re only as good as your weakest staff member. Who isn’t doing their job? Is it management? This place could be great if some love, money and positivity was pumped into the place.
Service was fantastic Pool was very rundown,
Conveniently located , lovely staff and room facilities
Was close to everything nicely presented, friendly and helpful staff
