It was sad to know the property was closing their facilities, it was in all news in P.R. Hope they find a solution so they dont have to shut down their are no other choices in this area...Also, more families loosing their jobs. ..

The facility need to be remodeled the mattress are hard the ceiling looks old and the food in the restaurant not make you full they serve to little food and I am a person who don't eat much

The shower should be upgraded. In particular, the tap water in showers should be replaced.

Beachfront hotel with a local feel

Dreamy location away from the hustle and bustle. Very clean hotel. I had an amazing stay and will definitely consider staying here again. Unfortunately I only have video And no pics. Family friendly

Everyone was super sweet! The rooms are kept clean. Beautiful view, and the food is amazing! On the downside there isn't a laudry room and if you want to shop all the stores are kinda far and they dont offer transportation.

I like the pool, but is little food and have leaks. Dont clean the room and we stay days

Good pool, the beach is good sometimes, the staff are amazing to have the place working perfectly but have liking balcony when is raining and the hot water take long to get to the 2nd floor.

I stayed almost 10 years ago and there are no changes in the hotel. I understand that the facilities need an upgrade, they are obsolete. Very friendly staff.

During our stay we never had hot water. We complained and they said that it was because of the solar panels. It has been raining. I guess they don't have any backup sistem. Another problem was the wi-fi. It wasnt working either. I've been to many hotels. These was the worst. Housekeeping comes to your room on ly if you're staying more than 4 nights. We stayed for only 3. It wasn't a relaxing stay. I will never come back. I can't say it enough, it was the worst stay ever.

If you are looking to get away from everything this it but if want to enjoy the beach and get in the water and try different foods this is not it. It is secluded from everything, no shops no restaurants no transportation. And no swimming other than their pool

The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. I didn’t like that there was a bar outside of the hotel open on the weekends. They played loud music until late night and it could be heard from the room I was staying in, interrupting my sleep. Other than that, the hotel was great.

the a/c we could not control it it wouodnt go higher than 30 degreese kept waking up to turn it off and on no hot water the belcony door was broken

Great

The place is great. The staff is very kind. The beach right there is totally awesome despite some other reviewer. There is a restaurant very close that does get noisy on the weekend, but it didn't bother us at all. The roads right around the place are pretty bad, so just be careful, not much room on the road, and crazy drivers. Overall still we were very very happy with our week stay.

Disc golf paradise! Great pool and it's right by the ocean and right next to an amazing disc golf course called Playa Lucia. Make sure you say hi to the owner, this is a family place and the owner is constantly working. And he's fun to play disc golf with so bring your discs and enjoy your vacation at Parador Palmas Lucia! I'm coming back for sure!

Area was way off the beaten path and the eastside of PR is absolutely beautiful. Facilities were a bit lackluster and we could never get the balcony door to stay closed. Staff was great and very friendly! Would book again!

It was great

We wanted to love this property. I'll start with the positive. Our room was poolside and we could see the beach from our porch. The bartender Juan Carlos was SO amazing. The included breakfast was just ok (but at least they had the option of a hot included breakfast!). Now, the rest. We had no hot water for 2 days and when we asked about it, the front staff refused to address this issue and clearly didn't care. The sliding glass door to our porch wouldn't properly close. The girl that checked us in was beyond rude. Ice costs 48c for your ice bucket. Rules were very clear that you MUST NOT have a cooler on premises because they provide you with a refrigerator. (what If I want a cooler at the pool or beach??). This place had the strangest rules. Also, the photos promise a beach right out your door but you do have to walk (not far) down the road to the beach. It's not really a sunbathing beach but pleasant enough for some morning walks. I do not recommend this property. We did stay at their sister property in Maunabo and everything about it was above and beyond expectations!

I had a wonderful stay. I went by myself. It was the perfect destination for a solo me trip. Staff was kind and food was good for what it was. No issues at all. Highly recommend.

The pictures make you think you can walk to the beach right from the property, which is not exactly correct. It is very rocky and rough. You have to walk south to find the beach. I thought I was getting ocean view and I got dumpster view. There are no elevators, so we had to walk upstairs with our heavy luggage. They do not provide towels for the pool and you are not allowed to bring the ones in the room; you must buy them,,, on top of everything, they charge you for ice! That’s ridiculous… Other than that the place is very clean and staff very nice and polite.

There were only two towels for 3 adults, we request more and they never deliver to the room we had to requested again. At night the music from the people outside were extremily loud until pass 1 AM, one of the nights they turn it off until the police came down.

Is a very quit and friendly ,lovelly place.

The pool area was quite quiet. The pool and kitchen close too early (9pm). The beach area is pretty dirty, there's no way you can get in with so much trash and debris. The reception was not nice. We didn't get a warm welcome. Unfortunately it was not as recommended to us.

I love this place ,everything is so nice, I love it.

Mold, roaches, other bugs, humidity, water leaks. Over priced restaurant and unreliable hours. Filthy pool. This place should not charge more than $30 per night! Parking is not well lit and is next to a bar by the beach open to everyone. No type of security at any time. No safeguard. No blow dryer, no iron, not even a decent soap in the rooms. If you left your toiletries, you can purchase them at the front desk for a higher price than the local store. Nothing to see…nothing to do.

A hidden GEM

Our stay at the Parador Palmas de Lucia was very pleasant. The location was excellent, hidden away from the main streets and close to the ocean. The rooms were in great condition, although we found the mattress to be a bit hard. However, overall my wife and I had a wonderful experience. The staff were always wearing a smile and provided us with exceptional customer service throughout our stay.

The town looks run down. The hotel shares facilities with a different section of the hotel. Rooms are small so are the bathrooms. Every room has a small balcony. It has a pool and even that it is next to the sea, we were not able to get in due to the sargasm on the beach. Our stay was at the beginning of August with few other guests

The good: Everything looks cleaned and staff were friendly. Excellent air conditioning at room and the pillows and bed were good. Only use restaurant once for complimentary breakfast and food & service were good. The bad: The facilities in general an the room are dated. A few things on the room didnt work or needed repair. Veredict:Had stay here about 15 yrs ago and looks like except the A/C, everything's the same as it was back then. If i need to stay around again near this area, i may consider this place if budget calls for it or theres no other options available

Overall cleanliness was good. If you plan on meeting up with friends, don't stay there. Your friends cannot meet you there unless they are staying there too.

First of all, my reservation was changed to the hotel due to overbooking. The facility needs a bit of care. Restaurant menu needs to be specific and have more options. Overall, it’s an ok place to stay.

Mejoras al aire

We stayed here for a week. It is exactly what is advertised. We took advantage of the breakfast package and had coffee and food each morning. During the week it was very quiet. From Thursday on I enjoyed the music and the additional bar that opened up closer to the beach complete with a full menu. Overall the hotel offered excellent service and I appreciate the staff and their responsiveness and incredible work ethic. I love Puerto Rico. If you are looking to stay on the east side of the island and to avoid the west side tourist trap, I recommend this hotel. Also, ten minutes up the road is an incredible beach - Playa el Cocal. And there are wonderful authentic Puerto Rican coffee, breakfast and cuisine spots within minutes. Enjoy!

Staff was great. The property was clean for the most part. The property does need to do maintenance on the sliding glass doors and refurbish areas that have wear. The gym was closed, most likely closed during COVID and never re-opened. Playa Lucia looked to be once a great beach front area attraction for the locals and tourist in the area. The beach has buildings that were once used for food vendors, but they are in poor condition.. One suggestion for the owner of the hotel and the town of Yabocoa is to get with the local dive operators and local government officials in the region to start an artificial reef program off the beach of Playa Lucia. By starting the reef program, divers from the area could use the beach for shore diving when the conditions out on the Fajardo reefs get too rough. The waters off the beach have the ability to have marine life and in fact the area around the cliff had coral and tropical fish around it. The hotel could have a vendor rent dive tanks for certified divers.

The stay was horrible. Room smelled. The room was outdated. The bed was terrible. Linens were bad. Sliding doors didn’t close. Broken tiles in shower. The entire room was a dump!! Disgusting.

We needed to make our stay the most pleasant possible. Our son is handicap and they gave us a room that suit his needs. Although the door was a little difficult to roll, it felt quite heavy. Maybe it needs some replacement parts. But they treated us very good.

It was pretty nice. Not a luxurious resort, but it had a nice ambiance. Good food and excelent service.

They are very friendly and inside the hotel very clean, otherwise the beach is so dirty w trash ,so bad bc the beach is beautiful.

I liked the Kitchen Staff. They were the most friendly and most attentive. I did not like the noise in the property. Specially the music past 7:00 p.m or the guest being extremely loud past 10:00 p.m. and no one being able to control it.

Friendly staff

Outdated hotel. Hard beds. Sliding doors would not open. Rooms smelled, lot of humidity. Furniture had scratches and is outdated. Poor quality linens & thin towels. Plays loud music from 8:00 am to 10:pm from the swimming pool area is impossible to rest during the day because of the loud music. Others guests were really loud and drunk thru out the night. I complained twice about it nothing was done. Very poor customer service would not change our room after a rough night with the drunk loud next door guests. Rest was good with breakfast. The small counter set off has a bar was poorly stocked. .

Overall i had a fantastic stsy. The beach on the premises was not swimmable but there are areas near-by that are. My highlight was watching the sunrise. The hotel itself is fantastic. Tip: if you cannot clumb steps request a ground floor during reservation. The restaurant is enough for breakfast, Lunch and dinner if it is a short stay. Otherwise you may want to explore out.

I did not feel safe, the area where the property is located is not good or tourist friendly, I drove back and left.

I loved this hotel, amazing view and great staff.
