Having always wanted to stay in a Parador this was a great experience. I enjoyed the historical aspect of the property and the modern conveniences. It was quiet and peaceful and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Oh my word, we have stayed in many hotels, but the Parador is outstanding. A spacious room with a bathroom half the size again and two sinks. The reception staff were professional and helpful, and the gardens a delight to walk around. We wiil definitely stay there afain. The Parador has risen to the top of our list!
Excellent location for forward travel. Just off the motorway. Lovely location with good size pool.
Pleasant and lovely surroundings ideal for where we wanted to be.
Super rooms, great place for a stopover. Cafeteria food very good. Didn't use main restaurant or breakfast. Nice green oasis near to motorways so some distant traffic noise but not once windows and shutters closed for the night.
Dinner wasn’t excellent.
Great time
Excellent hôtel, quiet clean just what we needed after a long drive. Great food and service. One of the Paradore hotel always superbe.
Excelente hotel muy bonitos
1 night stay
The hotel is some distance out of Albacete so you must drive or get a taxi into the town. We did know this before we arrived. We were there for 1 night only however the check in was quick and our room was spacious and clean. We eat in the cafeteria and found the food good and reasonably priced together with the wine.
A beautiful old Spanish building looked after wonderfully well.
Positive surprise
Above expectations. We knew of the great location and good swimming pool but were surprised by warm, efficient service. The reception person (quite sorry I did not get her name) rushed our check in so we can have a few minutes at the swimming pool before closing time. Quite appreciated in the sweltering heat. Restaurant was good, a little bit on the expensive side.
Nice
Very nice hotel ideal location staff very helpful and friendly
Immediately on arrival the property says "Understated quality" which staff continue to maintain with pride. Welcoming and warm efficiency, just 1 mile from A30 Exit 1.
Hotel situated about a 10 minute drive from Albaceta city. Parking is safe & directly outside the hotel entrance, which is why I booked it. It is very quiet & peaceful, perfect place to rest & break up a mong drive.
Classic Parador hotel with clean, comfortable rooms. Setting was a little remote (car required) and next to a military airfield. Some rooms had balcony/ terrace, some didn't. Wouldn't recommend the ones without as they were a bit dark and cold.
Cleanliness
Very nice and comfortable hotel apart from the bathroom toilet seat was broken, towel rail hanging of the wall, very poor lighting, not good for that class of hotel.
This is a convenient hotel for stopping on the motorway and it’s certainly got character. The issue is that it’s such an old building that it’s exceptionally noisy. People slamming the wooden doors, dropping the crazily heavy and bulky keyrings and scraping furniture all over the floor. Housekeeping started moving beds around just after 6.30am. (Ask for a room on the top floor) The worst part was the food - the hotel is in the middle of nowhere so you can’t walk into town meaning the restaurant / bar is a popular choice. There is very little on the menu and it’s VERY expensive. I had lomo and chips for €17. If was about 8 chips and a few slices of cold pork. Not the best experience sadly.
Great and wonderful Parador
We liked the idea of saying in a PARADOR, Our first stay in this kind of Hotel in Spain and exceed our expectations. Great, beautiful and peaceful. So clean everywhere, huge and classical rooms with views of the greenery. We chose upstairs rooms with patio balcony and we are glad to pay an extra 10 euros for it.Bathrooms as well are large and nice. The hotel attention is a treat... We went by car and you have the best of both worlds being away from town and close enough to drive few minutes to go for a visit.Chinchilla de Montearagon really close you can not miss it, leave your car there and enjoy the old little town.
What a nice Parador !!!!
Great Posada hotel experience on the open field. We had We had enjoyed a lot our staying this great and huge posada full of greenery where you can be awakened in the morning by the birds signing. Excellent attention and really clean. We went with a rented car so It was plus for us being there and driving to different destinations.Don't miss visiting Chinchila de Montearagon ,park your car and walk around..
It’s fine for a stay to break up a journey
We have stayed in many Paradores, this need a little love and attention. Staff were very pleasant. We had a superior room however it didn’t feel like it was. We came from the parador in Tortosa and went on to the parador in Jaen - the management could learn from these two. Still the stay served the purpose if breaking up our long journey.
Ok. Sort of.
As already stated, a bit tired and dated. Strange because it looks quite modern until you enter. My biggest grumble was that I had to book to get the contact details and then phone ahead to let them know I was bringing cats. Not brilliant English from the receptionist but it's not really a tourist destination and i can't speak Spanish so fair enough. Told him i was bringing two cats and would be there in a couple of hours. No problemo he says. When I arrived im pretty sure I got the guy I'd been speaking to but he knew nothing about a phone call or cats and there were no more pet friendly rooms as they had a dog staying. I'd been travelling all day and wasn't for giving in and explained that there were four cars in the car park of a four star hotel sonot exactly busy during covid restrictions so how about some four star service. I showed my phone with details of the call I'd made and asked what other reason did he think I'd called for. A room was found and on entering there was pet food and bowls which was a nice touch but so much for no pet friendly rooms. I'd paid the non cancellation price as I booked it within two hours of arrival so I wonder if I'd have been refunded had I not stood my ground. For the money it was ok but shame about the extra stress after my third day of travelling with two cats. Well located just off the motorway so fine for my purpose but wouldn't recommend it as a destination hotel.
quaint
The rooms are a bit dated but this could also be considered as part of the charm of the place as it has very rustic surroundings
Lovely traditional hotel
I stayed only one night, a stopover on the way home to Almería from the ferry to Bilbao. The hotel was spotless and I was impressed by the care staff took in these pandemic times. My ground floor room was spacious, very comfortable, with a view over the wooded garden to the pitch and putt course. I had a tasty dinner in the cafeteria, Served by friendly staff. Breakfast was substantial and again with excellent service. I shall stay here again.
Nice place overnight stay. Resto a little pricey.
Like all paradors great overnight stop off when travelling south to Andulusia. Excellent rooms and service. Restaurant a little pricey as it has a capitive audience with no other real other eating options on the doorstep.
Trip Home - Summer 2020
We received excellent service from this Parador in Albacete (and indeed in all four that we stayed in) while travelling from Moraira to Santander in our electric car. The hotel had a cable ready for us to recharge our car upon arrival. The room and balcony were excellent and we enjoyed a lovely meal on the outside terrace in the evening. Impeccable service overall and a lovely stay.
Loved the peacefulness of this hotel. Beautiful gardens and pool. Observed excellent hygiene standards at reception, restaurant and pool. Felt quite comfortable despite Covid restrictions. We had a small dog with us and the waiter asked the other customers if they were okay with him on the outside deck so we had dinner there. Ordered room service for breakfast. Would definitely go back! Price also very reasonable.
The Breakfasts were grossly over priced 16 euro s for cold egg & bacon and a cup of coffee put a downer on the experience ,not recommended!.
Good old Parador
I have stayed here several times over the years and the staff are always friendly and professional, however the hotel is now quite tired.
very nice place, very useful for holiday with children, very nice town
Property in need of updating and maintenance. Lovely 80* weather but the pool had not been cleaned out (green), the putting greens were not open, and the air conditioning was not turned on making for hot stuffy rooms. There was the smell of sewage in the bathroom. Would not recommend at this time.
La Mancha relax
Good stopover between Toledo and east coast of Spain. Relaxing hacienda style hotel. Food was good.
Nice setting, beautiful old house, needs better maintenance.
Quiet location close to the motorway
Excellent stopping off hotel when travelling. Good food and facilities and easy to park. Quiet and well kept property.
Albacete parador
Good class hotel with friendly staff. Ample easy parking. Good food and drink.
We were traveling to Mojacar so used this hotel as a stop over. It worked very well for us. It had all the amenities and very good food in the restaurant
Very convenient Parador when driving northwest from Alicante airport. Easy to find when coming from that direction - not so when coming from Toledo!. Good roomy cafeteria in addition to restaurant.
A stay to repeat. Very quiet place. Excellent for rest and charge bateries.
ju
Location good for a late stopover, bar snacks excellant as we did not want a full meal in restaurant. Room as usual in a parador good size, but just a little bit tired, but overall good value.
Very quiet hotel, well managed and with an excelle
Arrival was quick and easy and car parking was also easy, which was good as awe had a trailer. The rooms were quite and cleam, well equipped and on only 2 floors. We eat in the restaurant and the food was excellent.
Nice Stopover in Traditional Spanish Building
Just a one-night stopover but it was perfect for that. Food in the bar was very good (the selection of regional dishes in one dish was excellent). Excellent large comfortable rooms with generous bathroom. Food in general at the hotel was too expensive. €16 for breakfast is outrageous.
Peaceful setting
We stayed for one night, posada was easy to find. Very quiet and perfect for a rest
When is a Parador not a Parador?
Wikipedia says a parador, is a kind of luxury hotel, usually located in a historic building such as a monastery or castle. This one isn't. It is an events led hotel, a Holiday Inn without the style, a corporate bunker for weddings and conferences. The design of the restaurant and bar dates from the 1960's planned by a man who went on to work for Ikea. It is an OK place for a stopover. It is nothing special. It doesn't fulfil the above definition, not even a little bit. Such hotels are imperfect places, sleep disturbed with banging doors from adjacent rooms and the screech of furniture being scraped across tiled floors. There was a 20cm hair left in our bathroom sink. Nothing out of the ordinary, as those who stay in these places all the time know only too well. Its just well it supposed to be a Parador.
Old Spanish Charm
A lovely old style Spanish courtyard garden hotel with tiled floors, wood and leather. We stayed one night to break the drive north but wished we'd stayed longer as we didn't get to enjoy the pool or the gardens.
Easter 2015
Nice hotel and easy to find. Staff were excellent but bedroom was a smoking room (after we asked for non-smoking)and cigarette butts on our balcony. Dinner was very good. You need a car to get into Albacete but good access onto nearby motorway network.Overall, we would recommend this hotel.
Not as good as Cuenca
As my title suggests, the Hotel was not as good as the one at Cuenca, Having said that, the hotel was good and the swimming pool was excellent. The choice at breakfast was a bit limited which was a shame. Otherwise very comfortable.
quiet and excellent service
Perfect for a relax stay, running or business meals. Large rooms although furniture needs a renewal. Excellent restaurant where you can enjoy local food. My first option in my trips to Albacete.
Excellent service. Perfect to relax after work.
It's located outside Albacete so I choose it in my trips for its location, price and excellent service. Very nice ambient, quiet and perfect to disconnect after work. Runners like me will enjoy the low transit of the area and some tracks nearby. It's flat so very good for the morning workout.
Great Stop
Very good and a great place to break the trip to Madrid/Segovia. The reception staff were extremely helpful.
Parador de Albacete
Hotel is great, fantastis flair of old country style. One disadvantage is: cannot be found on GPS by it's strange address. The only way is to find it is to find Albacete and than, when in Albacete to look for Lodging; it shows than. I reccomend it though.
Rotten location, worse food
Service at this parador was nice and friendly. However, the location was terrible....stuck in a field outside of the town and near the autovia/interstate highway there was no where interesting to stroll after a day in the car (except down a seondary highway) and no where nearby to grab a bite to eat. Thus we ate in the restaurant. The food, which came to the table cold, was tasteless and overcooked. What a disappointment! While the rooms were fine, like all of the Paradors we stayed in, the walls and floors are paper thin. We spent half the night listening to furniture (probably chairs) being moved in the room above us. For these reasons, although the location may be somewhat convenient for those spending the day on the road, I would take the time to drive another hour or two and find a nicer location, or at least one where you can find a choice of restaurants.
The hotel is right next to a military airport (literally within the pattern, right before the aircraft turn to take the base leg) where F16 take-off and land about every minute during the day. Other than that, perfect for a one night stay between Valencia and Ubeda.
Overall very nice place.
Volveremos
Bonne adresse
Très bien

Koselig stopp på reisen
El hotel más limpio que he visto
Peace & quiet, an oasis in summer and pleasant rest year. Bathrooms a bit faded but everything else makes it still worth visiting. Nice friendly staff, great restaurant & bar/cafeteria plus a lovely pool, garden and terrace area. Excellent price quality relationship, especially if compared to other offers in the area
Fué una buena experiencia conocer este parador. Nos sentimos muy a gusto.
Jättetrevligt hotell och personal. Restauranger.
