This was a fairly low value for the price. The room was super tiny with the beds packed in, and the upper bunk had no guard. Ive has much nicer places in Costa Rica for less money. Also had a towel go missing when I used their laundry service. I will call about that, hopefully an oversight. I must say though that the staff was absolutely fantastic. Warm and welcoming, very friendly and helpful. Their hospitality went a long way to make up for the room.
Good service and clean place the rooms it’s clean too
Very clean brand new appliances in the kitchen services excellent nice pool close to supermarket and restaurants walking distance beautiful jungle type setting scenery excellent food choices great transportation reasonbly priced national park see local animals great tours witin 10 minutes by bus from the hotel
I was not happy at all with this place. No mantaines of the place.
Jungle nest
I suggest you ask for a room facing away from street, it will be quieter.
Great Place to stay. Highly recommended.
Good, but it can be better.
Very nice location in the middle of the mountains, close to bars, restaurants and Manuel Antonio National Park. Private parking. Common dining and living room is well mantained. Common kitchen has all appliances, but can be more clean. Appliances are old and discusting to use. The fridge had stuff in it that looks have been there for ages. Pool is very small, but is very clean and cozy area. Room was clean, but it smells like mold or humid really really bad. TV's are VERY old like 13". Pillows, pillow cases and sheets were stained. Replacement is urgently needed. Hot water in the shower and nice balcony facing the woods, where you can sew the monkeys during the day. Staff was friendly and willing to help. Would stay here again for 1 or 2 nights.
Good stuff. Really helpful staff, nice accommodations.
Cheap
good for the price. whayever you want me to write thay would be fine but i do not have anymore to say.
Very good
Only one aspect to improve is the parking capacity, overall the hotel is very good.
Very small room
This place is very very basic and definitely not worth the money we had to pay. The room was very small, had a balcony that was nice to look at trees and since were on the upper floor, it felt a little bit like a tree house. We saw a blue headed mot mot right outside our balcony. The place is right across a restaurant which has gorgeous views and good food. Why can't expedia provide a bit more space in the other boxes?
Not worth a penny over $75 a night
Courteous staff. Located next to road at the top of a long hill. Truck, car and motorcycle climbing up in low gear all night. Not a tranquil spot nor is the breakfast area as well. Not as advertised and way overpriced. A last resort compared to all the other hotels we saw during our two-week stay. Plumbing in disrepair.
Cute little hotel
It was nice and cozy. I enjoyed my stay.
Do not stay here.
This place is a dump even by Costa Rica standards. The mattress would compare to a blanket on a sheet of plywood. Felt grimy and nasty. Very noisy location. No way I would stay there again. If I had paid $30 I could be more understanding. Paying $110 for this room was down right insulting.
Nice clean hotel halfway between quepos and Manuel
Nice clean hotels halfway between Manuel Antonio and Quepos. You can hear the howler monkeys in the morning and there was a sloth in the tree by the swimming pool. Pools clean unlike some of the other places I stayed. You can catch the bus less of the 100 yards out from the hotel for about $0.60 a person or you can catch a taxi for a dollar per person. The staff Roland and Marita was very helpful in setting up trips and recommend in restaurants. I have personally recommended the barbecue halfway down to Manuel Antonio. their baby backs were delicious. The fish and lobster straight across from the hotel at Mara Luna was also a delight. Also Mara Luna was a great place to grab a hamburger after a long day.
Overpriced
Disappointing in our booking at this hotel. We felt that the facilities and service were not congruent with the hotel rate. We felt numerous concerns and in the end decided to leave a night early.
Solo stay at Hy Paradise Inn
The room had a firm but comfortable double bed, a modern television with several Spanish/English channels, air conditioning as well as a ceiling fan, a bathroom with spacious shower, and a balcony that overlooked the jungle hill. Monkey calls, frog croaks, and bird songs were a welcome attraction. Don't keep the balcony door open too long as mosquitoes quickly migrate indoors. I had read that being roadside, this hotel was quite noisy. This didn't seem to be the case. Traffic runs infrequently after 10p.m. and the rooms at Hy Paradise are well insulated. The hotel is ideal for travel to either Quepos or Manuel Antonio. The location sits almost halfway between both sites. It takes about five minutes by taxi or fifteen by local bus. Best of all, at Hy Paradise Inn, the staff took a personal touch to enhancing my stay. The room was cleaned thoroughly each day and front reception staff went beyond to offer additional assistance. Examples included: suggesting best cheap eats, organizing my tour, and most importantly, helping me to dial free long distance when some of my I.D. had been lost. Having Wendy help me to navigate the nuances of foreign phone calls in a somewhat panicked state, was greatly appreciated. This was done all free of charge! I would happily stay here in the future and I would easily rate my overall hotel stay at Hy as an A+ experience!
