Convenient and comfortable
Great ace for family and group gatherings. Has both options for pool and the beach.
This is a dive resort but we really enjoyed the property and room at a fair price. The staff is very attentive and friendly.
Staff are very helpful and accomodating. They respond quickly to your requests.Lobby needs to be upgraded.Only thing that I did not like is the shower. The whole bathroom gets wet because there is no enclosure just a shower curtain .But overall you get good value for your money.Room is spacious and very clean.A little far from the city but if you want peace and quiet I would recommend this place plus it is right across a 7 Eleven and a good Korean Restaurant.
visit 5 pools
was very nice and quiet the hot tub heater was broken making the ocean water warmer
Nice room and good pool
At check out they were gonna charge us for pillow stain and blanket. Never been in this situation in any Resorts smh. Will not be back to that place. My Fiance ended up washing our pillow and sheets so we wouldn't be charge extra money.
On the ocean in Mactan Philippines
Excellent bed and bedding Courteous staff Excellent free WiFi
Old hotel with young cockroaches (and nice staff)
We stayed in a "deluxe" room (#216) during three nights in August 2019. The room and its bed were large and comfortable, although the bed linen was too small for it. We requested that it be changed and it was. The staff were really kind, as in all hotels we tried in the Philippines. The bathroom was clearly less nice: the shower was framed by an old and partly rusty structure, and there was no room to put personal belongings next to the sink, except in a cupboard placed insanely high above it (I'm 1.83m tall and struggled to reach its bottom). Much worse, three out of three nights we saw cockroaches (most of them young and small, but also a really huge one). Another issue we had with the room and the general condition of the building was the noise. The window frames are cheap and old, so the windows and the door to the tiny balcony of the room do not close properly. Anyway, we mostly left them open because the AC unit is very noisy, even in "quiet cool" mode... Finally, the management seem to have lost their minds in what concerns prices of drinks, either in the bar/restaurant (which only offers a really average breakfast) or in the room minibar. As an example, a 33cl can of the most typical local beer (San Miguel Pilsen) was priced at/over 100PHP, when the most we payed for it during our whole trip, for instance in a terrace overlooking the sea in a nearby (proper) resort, was 95PHP... not to speak of the 37PHP in the 7-Eleven just in front of the hotel!
The Wifi availability was so poor or not available in the room.
Nothing fancy, but if you're looking for basic and inexpensive accommodation with a pool (there are 3 but you have to share 2 of them with a dive school) and direct access to the sea (note, no beach as such), then this is perfectly adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even giving me directions on how to catch a jeepney into Cebu City for only 20 pesos (quite an adventure).
The aircon win my room was so low and it’s too far it not same in the site
Serves a purpose
The room was OK. Bed was OK. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK - this place served a purpose. Close to the airport and handy in that respect. No hot water for shower which was incredibly frustrating.
“Free water” means two v small bottles a day. Fortunately there is a 7/11 open 24/7 directly across the street. They are nice people. Hotel staff are nice except for management. At checkout he tried to shake us down for an additional 20 dollars U S Our room towel was stained ??? I think the towel was a plant. Also the ride to airport was a scam. Private car, not a taxi. 700 pesos?? Terrible experience. If you are not Korean, do not stay there.
The area is clean and has a pool. Staff were nice and friendly and we were able to check in on time and no hassle in checking out.
Good hotel to go to after long flight. Recommended
So so.
Check in was quick and attentive. The room was very small and the bathroom was in need or urgent care. The showe rand floor had black mould and not very clean. The pool area was nice and the water seemed well, unkept, the diva Nguyễn center also seemed first class although I didn't dive on this trip. Brwckfast...soso, coffe was good but not too many food choices they make some eggs but way over cooked and juice not natural. It maybe an ok place to stay if you intent to get diving certification. But for holiday stay it seeemed overpriced
Nice business trip in Cebu
Friendly staff. Good service.
Nice rooms in a nice hotel.
We had a lovely stay. Very nice reception area. Early and fantastic Christmas decorations, late august. But when in the Philipppines, that’s when it starts. We enjoyed a nice breakfast. The room was nice. I use a wheelchair, and even if not a handicap room, it was Ok for us. We looked at a room in 4th floor with a sea view, and that was a nice room with a kitchen.
You can do better
Well. All the hotels in Mactan are totally overcharged. Nobody understands what is so fancy about this place. In the Philippines you can find much higher value for money. Anyway. Mostly Korean there. And I guess they love Tobe overcharged. Our breakfast was cold and greasy. That can be improved
Stressful
I reserved for a suite rm which is quite expensive, so i expected to see a room commensurate to the price. we were given a room for elderly and PWD adjacent to staff quarters and a play area. So it is too noisy. It also smells like hospital. Door lock is also defective. When we asked to be transferred to another room, they said they are fully booked. We ended up transferring to another hotel. Hotel said that refund is not possible. Before leaving they also made us pay for a bottled water which we did not consume.
Couple of issues but overall a nice place
Couple of minor issues, first the pre arranged and confirmed airport pickup never arrived however ultimately this saved us money as it is about 3 times the price of an airport cab. Although we as 2 couples booked a 2 bedroom suite they were only willing to provide a single set of keys until we got quite insistent at which point a second set appeared. Dive experience was very good and a highlight and the restaurant had several very tasty items on the menu, staff was friendly however the room was somewhat poorly furnished and desperately needs a refresh.
Would not recommend.
Standards in the U S are so different. There were no top sheets on the bed just a coverlet and fitted sheets. The restaurant was just ok. Nice sized room. We weren't aware that it was connected to dive shop.
Not as described, poor service from staff
I reserved a queen bed for a romantic getaway with my girl friend. Upon arrival only single beds were available and no discount was offered. The free breakfast buffet was gross, not stocked, and tasted old. Three times I asked the front desk to arrange a taxi and they were never able to do so. Once I waited an hour and they never felt the need to tell me there would be no taxi, so I was forced to walk into Lapu Lapu city. The hotel is far away from the restaurants and main areas. I would highly advise not to stay here.
Not the place to stay
The hotel is not near anything really. Check in is 2pm and I arrived and had to wait over an hour to get a room (they weren't fully booked). Then, the room wasnt ready. TV remote didn't work. It took another hour and 3 remotes later to have a room ready for rest and privacy. The bed is harder than concrete. If you want to have friends stop by for chat by the pool, be ready to pay 700php each for them (we went to their hotel instead). Their food is not good and they have corkage if bringing in. I will never stay here again and certainly wouldn't recommend it.
Not worth the price.
Rooms look very outdated and rundown. the location is very far and difficult to get a taxi. The price it charges is just too high for its overall value.
Basic. Look elsewhere
It was very basic.
A beach hotel without a beach...
A big spacious room, alright local food in the restaurant and a relaxing spa. But a beach resort without a beach is not what we expected:-(

Nothing good to say
Very disappointing - we thought we were going to a resort at the beach however beach was closed for renovations. Food was terrible. Room was average but had a very noisy air conditioner which blasted air directly onto the bed. Did not have the kind of room booked available and we were given a twin. Look elsewhere!
Very Disappointing.
No adult pool. ants ===even in sugar at breakfast. cold showers every morning. no beach. air conditioner sounded like a freight train. nice people==especially Eddie, dive master. no microwave . breakfast just ok
Not worth it
Facility is old. Mosquitos in the room. Breakfast food was not good (and there were ants around the food). No beach. Nothing to do. Find somewhere else to stay.
The term "Resort" is used loosely!
We had high expectations thinking it was a resort! We came to an overpowering smell of insecticide chemicals. The rooms were a bit shabby and the hot water wasn't working for a while. The staff were nice and fairly prompt to deal with any issues. The location is good, though the beach in front is not very swimmable as it was mainly low tide and muddy and you had to get a boat to take you deeper. The worst part is that my sister got bed bugs and broke out in major rashes and was in pain for at least 4 days which was not acceptable! when we asked to get a refund or at least a letter from them- they refused!
2 days stay
The hotel is a bit far from everything..... breakfast was included in the room rate.. Not bad.. The room was large and was given an upgrade.. Staff are friendly. Check in/out was prompt. The pool (small) was frequently used by the dive shop's customers , a bit dirty.. as the divers jump in with their wet suits and all, for their dive lessons.. I did a day dive trip with the shop, amazingly I find them very efficient and very friendly.. will dive with them again if i am in the area again. Bed was very comfortable but the aircon was really noisy, either you put up with the noise or suffer from the heat.. will I come back.. possibly
Excellent for Scuba and Diving
Pleasant. Convenient. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Okay for the price!
4 of us stayed in seperate rooms for a conference trip. If you have plans to be away from your hotel, like spending the day diving or attending an event at another resort, this isn't a bad place to base your stay. The price is about half the name brand resorts, but you probably get what you pay for. The pool area was okay, but it is focused on dive tours customers mainly. Internet is adequate to stay in touch, better speeds in lobby and restaurant than in the rooms. The air conditioners are older in the wall types, so can be noisy. There is an on-site dive centre and a massage spa like most resorts in the area. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful, especially the security guys at the gates who give advice and help flag down taxis or jeepneys. Cost for taxi from the airport is about 170 peso, but my driver didn't know where "Palmbeach resort" was, so make sure you know some other landmarks, like "its out past the Moven Pick resort". Also note that the position on google maps is about 200m south of the true location.
Old hotel
Everything else was sold out and had to stay the first day here. It's an old hotel and room was clean, just worn out. Toilet didn't work and shower head was clogged. I took the shower head apart and got it working enough to get by and they fixed the toilet instantly. The staff was great and they work hard to make up for the run down hotel. The staff is the reason I gave three stars. The place was very quiet I only saw two other guests. They wanted to charge for each towel for the pool and we only had an hour left before checkout. We moved down the street where I paid twice as much but it is well worth the price increase. Plus free beach towels. This place is not worth the money unless you are not going to be there except to sleep. They should change the name to last resort. The taxi drive could not find the place. He stopped four times for directions. That's never a good sign.
Disappointing
The staff was ok but the hotel is really basic. The swimming pool is small and even dirty. Really disappointing stay compared to what is advertised. Specially after spending a few days in the Philippines, because then you know this hotel is expensive according to the standards around Cebu. Even if you want to be close to the airport, there are other places that might be a better choice.
Not good value
We booked a standard room with a queen bed and wifi included. But the room was tiny and the bed was a small double. So if going here don't expect much from a standard room. We came from a very nice hotel in Cebu City and for a large deluxe room with superb buffet breakfast there, the price was more expensive at Palm Beach. The restaurant here is not good and, apart from included breakfast, nobody uses it as the prices are way too high trying to cash in on the remote location. There are 2 small swimming pools which would be ok except for the fact that there is a very busy diving school located at the hotel and there is a constant stream of scuba divers coming out of the sea and washing the seawater off themselves and their diving clothes in the pools. Thus the pools are dirty and full of sea water. Finally, although the hotel is named Palm Beach, there is no beach; only a nice sea view. This was part of our honeymoon so quite disappointing really!
relaxing
very friendly staff always willing to assist you with getting around the island
Anyone travelling Solo
Being a solo traveller I was already aware that the location is somewhat isolated. But what made the difference were the restaurant staff who realised I was alone and went out of their way to talk to me and make me feel wanted. I took a good book and had many great options where to read it. If you go to the large reception area the staff will direct a fan in your direction without hesitation. I had trouble with the Wi-Fi connection in my room so I used the lobby. When i returned to my room the receptionist who noticed me using my netbook downstairs rang me to say 2 staff were coming to help me. They provided a Lan cable which provided a 100% connection and even offered an immediate room change if i wanted. This is exceptional service that I have never received before. Suggest you take a heap of snacks and bottled water along and be prepared that you may need to get a taxi to the closest shopping area to stock up if you are staying a week or longer. I was basically the only Westerner there. The rest of the guests were mainly South Koreans who were always very quiet and extremely polite. The diving training although i did not partake in seemed from what I witnessed very professional and well handled.
ok place.
no one uses the restaurant. the cooks are a bit too slow. breakfast is not the greatest but free.
Good option for the price
The staff at this hotel are very friendly and hospitable and do their upmost to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The air conditioning unit was effective, though as often happens with wall mounted units a little noisy - however windows and a sliding door with screens provide another option for a breeze.

The property seemed good for kids. I would maybe recommend this property for a larger group. There were many activities that a larger group might enjoy but as a couple, we did not use.
