Palm Beach Resort Review

While the hotel is already run down, house keeping services were good to compliment our stay. The smell of the room was damp as if it was not occupied by customer quite a while. I had to spray some air freshener before I could breath comfortably. Breakfast spread could be much better with more variety of food to keep up with the 'resort' standard.

Hotel Staff was very courteous and provided excellent service most of the time. There were some occurrences during lunch when staff appeared overwhelmed. Room was kept clean and was serviced regularly. nice room accommodations. Internet however did have some problems, especially in the rooms, making work somewhat challenging on occasions. pool was a nice change, however, would recommend trying to keep this open later on certain days. 7PM seems extremely early for the area, especially on weekends.

Breakfast was decent, not the best. Overall attraction is the beach. Room was bigger but then looks outdated. Furniture wise looks old and woody.

This was a solo trip for five days to relax. First off the hotel is in a very remote area of the island, but it is absolutely beautiful. There are no solo excursions, and it was more difficult to get back to the mainland to do any of the tours. The view from my apartment was absolutely breathtaking. The beach was beautiful and they raked it every day, but they pushed all of the debris that washed up on the beach to the end of it instead of cleaning it up ☹️They had a free shuttle service that would take you to town at certain times of the day, which is very convenient and nice. The island itself is Judy free so I picked up some alcohol and chocolate for very cheap prices. If the hotel spent a little bit of money and updated, really thoroughly cleaned everything,And added some excursions or tours offered through the hotel, it could be one of the most amazing resorts in Southeast Asia. Overall it was a decent relaxing vacation!

I was really shocked when I entered the room. The window blinds were some broken and some don't close completely. Luckily I got 2nd floor room. The bed sheets also had a lot of yellowish stains. Surely won't come here again.

Overall was great, with the view and the facilities but I would appreciate very much if they can clean the room thoroughly. Just a constructive feedback from me :)

Amazing place . Room was huge and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were picked up at the airport and the shuttle bus driver was happy to drop us off at our next hotel on the town run at the end of our stay. The restaurant food is very good and reasonably priced. We were however surprised to see notices that there is a Rm20 charge for using the swimming pool. Luckily Palm Beach has its own beach and it was very nice being able to swim in the sea. Thank you everyone.

So So...

Run down resort...if they trim and take care the garden, it will be beautiful. A bit scary feeling. Lobby look dull. Breakfast - Average as limited food. No ironing service and you have to bring your clothes to other room they prepared if you need ironing. Overall experience 2/5!

The staff are friendly, food fantastic! Thumbs up to the chefs. We really enjoyed our food, especially the kolo mee. But the fruits are not so good. But its okay, everything was good and clean. Wish to come back again next time..

We had a nice long weekend at Palm Beach Resort. The hotel and rooms were clean and the staff friendly and accomodating. The food service at the beach bar was very slow, maybe because of the high occupancy during the holiday weekend. All in all, a very nice place to spend the weekend.

My husband and I really love to come here with our kids since it is near to the beach and we can just swim in the pool while watching the beautiful sunset. The staffs are friendly and attentive. The furniture is old but still in good condition but I do hope the management will upgrade it soon. The only thing that I would like the hotel management to improve is their food choices during breakfast. There is only few choices for the guests to choose from even though they do set up few noodles stalls outside for the guests to order. Compared to other hotels that we had visited, it is considered below the standard par for a 4-star hotel. Hopefully in the future, the management will improve this. Other than that, we are very pleased with everything. Thanks for the great and pleasant stay.

The hotel is in a pretty rough state. It is in need of refurbishment and a sort out of the atmosphere in the place. If you are looking for a relaxing time and have cash I wouldn't come here. I dont think I would go back with the family. It was dirt cheap but you got dirt.

The sunset was incredible. Blue sky and cool breeze during the hot sunny day.

Staff are amazing. Breakfast has improved. Wonderful beds and bath. Excellent value. Arranged birthday cake for my kids prior to arrival, lovely cake. Wonderful atmosphere, loved the hammocks. Sun loungers need an upgrade or a good clean. Beach needs a litter pick up in the morning. Pool could be cleaner, water was a bit murky. Drains were sometimes smelly. But overall we love it there.

Relax One Corner

Ideal place for relaxation and peace of mind. Far from the any amenities. Great staffs and good service. Breakfast spread was very disappointing though.

Run down...

This large 300-room hotel has seen its best days very long ago. Now it's just run down and nobody seems to care anymore. Ants all over the breakfast buffet; staff acted surprised when I brought it up, took just one plate of the many with ants away and brought it back with lots of dead ants on it... Cocktails not good, food bad and not fresh, and town is 20 minutes by car. Staff just looking on when guests (or maybe staff during free time) blow their noses in the pool and spit into the pool. Pretty disgusting. Nice beach but there are sandflies, and the sea is too shallow to swim for the first 800 meters. Big rooms but sooo old and run down; uncomfortable beds with all polyester linen. This hotel is barely okay when doing business in town but not good at all for a family vacation.

Labuan Gem!

This place is a gem! With proper maintenance it may become my first and best weekend destination. Just to improve breakfast (include more bakery, jams, better quality milk), and to clean surroundings - and it is 5 star!

Environment & scene is good.. not my first time staying here thou.. the bed always got a bit of sand in it wether u went to the beach or not.. overall it's an awesome place..

Nice and quite beach resort.

Arrived at the hotel right on check in time. Warm welcome by the hotel staff. The hotel is located about 20 minutes drive from Labuan city. Away from busy city totally on the opposite side of the Labuan island. Prefect gateway from busy and stressful life. Given a nice room facing to seaview on high floor. The view was mesmerizing and clear sound of wave hitting the beach. Beautiful beach with white sand and slight wind makes it perfect vacation mood. Visited to the bar and enjoyed few bottles of beer with nice background music. The restaurant is just opposite to the bar. The food was good and the service is above the par.

Nice hotel & good for family vacation

It's the only hotel situated at the beach. The room was spacious.. Cleaned & gud for family vacation. It has a big pool & the beach was fantastic... The breakfast was not to my liking as the food served were ok ... Cud improve better by serving delicious food even though the varieties were not too much. But overall my stay with family was enjoyable & Relaxing...

it was a great hotel to be honest, friendly staff and great environment surely will visit there in the future. the only thing that was bothering me was the TV. Very very bad signal. The TV was basically useless. The signal just goes off like 5 times in like 10 minutes. probably the hotel can refix that issues with better sound system audio

Loved the place! It felt like your own private peace of paradise. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if I ever visit Labuan again!

A roomy hotel, with very reasonable F&B prices. Fixtures getting a bit tired but good value for money. Excellent location for relaxing by the pool and next to the beach.

Nice large sea view rooms,with comfy beds

we were pleased with the warm reception and immediate check in.They went extra mile in giving a great sea view king size beds.They have good shuttle buses for downtown.Good bar n restaurant,rooms are huge and very nice wifi coverage.They have bicycles for rent too...

Beautiful pool but many pests

This was the first time in my life that I had a room with ocean view. However, due to jelly fish and sting ray you can't swim in the ocean. Nevertheless, the pool is amazing. The room was large but I was terrified of the cockroaches that were sharing the space. The shuttle bus to the jetty was good. There is nothing near the hotel and costs 30 for a taxi to the location. Very good value.
