Fantastic experience. Loving and courteous staff, always helpful, great host and great breakfast.
Excellent location, AMAZING and FRIENDLY staff, great breakfast. Staff really makes you feel at home like a family. Definitely would recommend
Near from tram station near from galat port maybe 10 min walk good staff .. but the bad thing is conditions control in reception
No window in room
This is my third time staying at this hotel for one very important reason which is location. It is 2 minutes walk to the tram that take you everywhere. It is 5 minutes to the sea side and promenade. It is in a strategic location between Taksim and old bazar and sultan Ahmed. Staff are amazing such wonderful people and after five days I felt they were like a family.
A Lovely Hotel in a Great Location
The hotel is in a great location, very close to Galata Tower and within a short walk to the harbour and tram station. The tram will tak you to all the major tourist sites in Istanbul. I would highly recommend this hotel for your trip to Istanbul.
Amazing hotel
Overall the hotel was amazing. The location was just perfect because it was a walking distance to every tour spot possible. The buses or trains were also less than 5 min walk away. Inside the hotel was clean. The receptionist were truly amazing and fun to talk to. They helped us a lot during our stay there. They told us what to do and what to watch out for. Every time we needed something or needed help, they were there right away. When i go back to istanbul, this is the place i will book my hotel agagin
The location was perfect since the tram is down the street. The hotel was clean and staff were very nice.
Very nice and helpful staff. Clean property.
The staff is so nice, they treat you like family! We had issues with the airline loosing our luggage, they got on the phone with the baggage company and helped make a difficult situation so much easier. The hotel is near so much action, but tucked away. Walk couple block to Galataport, the mall, and a lots of local food and culture. Very highly recommend
Location .. location .. staff .. staff .. breakfast was good and the chief is amazing .. lots of good eating options in the area .. very safe .. very basic hotel .. the price point was just right
The location was good near the Metro and bus station but the room was very small and had to complain several times to change it.the mattress was stiff and the pillows were uncomfortable i would not choose it next time or recommend it to someone cz there are plenty of hotels in istanbul.

Very friendly people!!!
Easy access to the tram & very close to the Karakoy Pier. Area is quiete. Staff are very helpful. What I don’t like is the tv never works. Had it fix so many times & every time I turn it on there’s no signal. Cups with saucers provided in the room were very dirty when we checked in. There no hot water in the bathroom sink. One of pillows provided smells like mens cologne looks loke the cleaner did not change the pillow case.
Towels were old and some had holes in them! Economy rooms have no windows and when asked to change to a different room that doesn’t feel like a basement they asked for price increase Apparently it’s written in small print somewhere on the booking site that economy rooms has no windows! And the lobby smelled cigarette smoking the entire time! Not worth $100 per night not even $70.
It is tucked away from the main street. Very nice and well kept rooms. Good service and free wifi. Great prices
location is close to metro station, which is great. it is also very close to galata bridge, and Eminönü area. since it is close to station the noise is high and couldn't get good sleep. the staff is very friendly, but when i had ti request for tea bags and heater which should have been there by default. when they cleaned the room they never cleaned the cups. rooms are smaller than shown in the image. but overall the location is so great and the staff are nice i would recommend.
I love Istanbul
Hotel was great it's my second time in this hotel. Very clean and comfortable, lovely owner and family, great buffet breakfast. Very good location to transport, trams, ships, underground etc, ideal for walking anywhere also. Only downside was it was hot weather and room AC was on winter setting and it was too hot, I had to ask often that it be changed to cooling setting as it was hard to sleep, but it kept changing back to heating instead of cooling. I gave up asking.
The Peninsula Galata Boutique is the perfect location to have easy access to Istanbul. Friendly staff are quick to help, and the daily breakfast will keep you fueled as you explore.
Clean rooms in a very convenient location with kind staff
location /near to shops/ transport/no hills to climb
Easy accessible that near the ferry pier and tram station.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It’s in a perfect location, 200m from the tram station and 200m from the Tünel so visiting places is very very easy. I would recommend this place as it’s in a ideal location. Would surely stay here again!
Good location, helpful staff, friendly service. Good breakfast
Excellent location however very small room. Also, bad daily smell in the washroom . Did not get cover blanket sheet till the 3rd night.
Great location , .............. great location.....
Great hotel within easy reach of everything.
Hotel was excellent very nice and helpful staff. Room was very clean and toilet cleaned to a high standard. Room was a bit on the small side but for somewhere to sleep it was great. Bed very large and comfortable. Aircon very good, WiFi very fast. I enjoyed my stay very much here including the buffet breakfast with lots to choose from. Hotel is ideally placed for transport, trams, underground, ferries, busses or just walking for sightseeing. Plenty of places to eat nearby all within a few minutes walk.
Everything is bad
Hotel is very dirty and not worth two stars - no windows in the rooms - breakfast is poor - the treatment is very bad - the street is narrow Water drains in the bathroom are blocked
Convenient location and just as expected. Very clean and staff were very polite and helpful.
This hotel all his single room has no window and very small no aircondition Good location nice staff
I was pretty excited when I booked this hotel cause it looked awesome in the photos, then they e-mailed saying they’d pick us up from the airport for €20, they even sent a confirmation email they’d be there in time for our flight holding a sign with my name. They were however not there to pick us up and we had to make our own way to the hotel. It’s fine, just a bit of a disappointment after a 12h flight. It was 4 of us and we had two non smoking economy rooms, once we checked in we learned economy rooms don’t have windows, I kind of wish that was made more clear on our booking. It might have been an error on my side, but had I known I would have paid a little extra for windows. One of the rooms smelled like cigarettes, the other was fine. Breakfast was really good, really recommend stopping by! Even the Turk in our company thought it was delicious! Location was good, walking friendly for a bunch of late 30’s.
Good location and value for $
An older hotel that could do with some general maintenance and lick of paint but for what it, it's fine. Very convenient locating and friendly and helpful staff.
Great and affordable location
Great hotel, in the middle of the city. It was easy to walk everywhere and close enough to public transport if walking was too far. The staff were very helpful and polite. Only problem with room was my “double bed” was just 2 single beds pushed together. Besides that everything was easy to manage, and well maintained
Excellent location and helpful staff. Room was clean except for a big chip in wall paint of the room and a shower that doesn’t drain well.
Nothing outstanding, very bad location. Room was very small, there was no lunch or dinner available at the hotel, you have to walk a good distance to eat at a restaurant.
Room was dirty and not made when I checked in. Had to walk down again and arrange another room.
so so
The location was perfect and the staff very friendly. There was a few things that annoyed me tho. The toilet paper holder was about to fall down...the shower head was broken and was throwing water everywhere, the towels has stains on them, the wall next to the bed had lots of stains on it, there was only one small bottle of water (we reserved for 2), the window opened to an indoor corridor which didn't smell good(had to close it back), Also big stains on one of the side table.
Location is great which is central of istanbul, you can reach all the transportation by walk ferry, tramway,subway...room was fair and small. Breakfast is acceptable.
Mediocre service
Cab driver organised for me did not know where the hotel was and ended up not taking me to the hotel I had to find it myself. Breakfast area too small I came down at 9.40 with no space left so we had to sit outside 😒
Nice hotel great location very helpful staff
I have been so many times to Istanbul to different hotels This is a great location the staff were very helpful they spoke very good English
Happy to recommend.
Very convenient location, friendly, and good value for money.
We don’t stay
Great location
Is a nice small hotel with perfect location for tourism in the high lights of Istanbul.
Good location, but??
Three star hotel only cheap and cheerful!. Breakfast free but had to pay for coffee. The room was tired.
Galata experience
Room was not serviced at all - breakfast not of 4 star quality and internet wifi may be free but was frustrating. Slow and intermittent ....
Comfortable Stay for 2 nights
Stayed there for 2 nights. The best part is its location. very close to galata bridge and literally 2 minute walking distance from Karakoy tram stop. Istiklal street is easily accessible by foot and by a Tunel Tram. I suggest taking tram to the street and walking back to hotel as the walk back is climbing down steep slope which is easy. Sultanhamet can be reached in 10 minutes by tram. Service is also good. Staff speaks and understands english and helps you around the town. Would recommend to stay for family, friends or even business.
AOK under the circumstances
The rooms were economical Why was the room so economical? Because the windows opened to the interior stairwell, that's why. The rooms were clean enough, location was great, but to do it over, i would have spent a bit more for the possibility of an actual window to the outside.
Good location but beware of economy rooms
The location of the hotel is very convenient. The staff were friendly, but the economy room I stayed did not have a "window". There was a non-stop ventilation in the room, but it felt very strange without any window. I think this should have been noted on the information page.
Nice updated hotel and good location
Pros: -Location was great: Metro station was very close by. Only 5 minute walk time. Less than 15 minute metro ride away from multiple monuments (Topkapi Palace Museum, Blue Mosque, Spice Bazaar, Hagia Sofia, Galata bridge). Me and my wife felt safe to walk to the metro station at night. -Room was tiny but updated. The bathroom was decent size and updated too. Housekeeping did great job everyday. -Great staff- The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They made recommendations for places we could visit, things we can do, helped us understand the Istanbul metro system, let us borrow an umbrella one of the nights it was raining, called us a taxi and arranged for an airport drop off taxi for us. Need I say more? -Hotel stay Included morning breakfast. 20+ freshly prepared items were available for breakfast. The staff would bring anything we requested. This was by far my favorite amenity at the hotel. Cons: -Can have international TV stations: It would be great to have some international (english) TV stations for guests to view since Istanbul is a popular international destination and attracts people from all over the world.
Easy access from the Ataturk airport.People really friendly & shopkeepers not in your face as much as the more touisty areas.
Conveniently locatd, helpful staff, cleanng + desk
Very close to Galata Bridge making for convenient walking to historical sites at the same time giving access to good restaurants on Galata/Beyoglou side of water. Located in hard to find but cozy alleyway. Breakfast had interesting and quite varied selections (although the coffee was not very hot). Furniture and appliances in room were modern and attractive but easily fell apart (cabinet doors, toilet parts). Staff was very responsive to room issues and helpful in terms of directions for getting around city. Very small elevator (as in other Istanbul hotels) requiring two trips for people with full size luggage. Fun lobby with glass covered faux archeological pit.
History again.
Everything was absolutely fantastic, convenient and the breakfast was truly wonderful. The innkeepers were so knowledgeable and helped us to more thoroughly enjoy our stay in Istanbul. The cistern exposure was particularly exciting for this history buff. We will be back.
wonderful clean boutique hotel in a great location
I truly enjoyed every little detail in this hotel, the location was amazing, close to everything while being calm as it is in a little private road without cars or pedestrians passing under your windows... the staff was very helpful and nice, the rooms always clean, the breakfast very nice, and it was an overall wonderful flawless experience... I'll be back soon! felt at home...
Small rooms. Friendly staff. Close to many activities.
Centralised location
Good location to access the train network and other major sites are walking distance to the hotel area.
a nightmare
we had book a room with twin beds, when we got to the hotel there was a double bed, someone came to separated the bed but no sheets ! no window, the room was like a cupboard.
Istanbul
Cute little hotel in a good location near Galata Tower.
Great place to stay
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! The staff were fantastic couldn't have done more for us and made us feel welcome. Also very helpful whenever we had questions.
Excelent Hotel.
I wasnt expecting a so nice hotel, the steet location doesnt look so nice, but its a relly nice hotel with a great location where you can vicit a lot of places.
Perfectly located ,near Bosphorous bridge.Everything is walking distance>ideal for cruise travellers.Perfectly connected by tram with tourist sites - 4 stations away
Nice hotel
I stayed in a deluxe room which was big and comfortable overall. The location was great for us since we were coming back to Istanbul after traveling for a couple of weeks around Turkey. We had already explored sultanahmet and wanted to spend some time in the Galata area shopping. The black out curtains were not wide enough to cover the whole window which while a little ridiculous didn't disturb us too much since it wasn't sunny during our stay. The breakfast is the usual Turkish fare.
it was just okay
Clogged drains, repeated unanswered calls for repair. Great location by Galata bridge. Will .not go back
No windows in room
Our room had no windows, no daylight and there was a constant smell of damp. There were two fake windows opening to ventilation shafts, one of which was the kitchen vent. On the first morning the whole room smelled of fried eggs from that kitchen vent. There was a dirty glass in the room when we checked in. Definitely not a "boutique" hotel.
Great location near Galata bridge, Karakoy side.
Friendly and helpful staff. Some rooms have no windows but may be great if need to sleep!
Nice hotel
Friendly staff Only problem was there was a language barrier as not everyone was able to speak in English Also, breakfast could have been better as the choices were very limited.
Istanbul
Was a great stay exceeding our expectations
Ecveklent customer service
W arrived really early in the morning. Because the hotel was over booked, staff offered buffet breakfast for a small fee. They then kept an eye on people who were checking out early and they quickly cleaned the room and allowed us in before our check-in time. Very friendly staff
A gem in Istanbul , centrally located, great staff
Peninsula Galata is centrally located; steps from the ferry and the tram, and less than 5 min walking distance to Galata tower and taksim square. It's a great hotel with breakfast buffet, wifi and 24 hour reception with incredibly helpful staff members. Definitely recommended to all travelers.
Excellent location witb friendly staff
Hotel was in a great spot but the room was very small. There was a strong sewage smell from the bathroom. The pillows weren't very comfortable. The staff was very friendly though and it was a cute little hotel.
Good value
Pleasant and friendly. Will stay again.
Perfect for Short Stay
Comfortable room and very friendly helpful staff. Used for pre cruise stay . Would highly recommend. Breakfast also adequate.
excellent service provided by the front desk , we were pleasantly surprised by the seeing the ancient cistern beneath the lobby. Very good breakfast with a huge variety & the best part is the hotel is located within 10-15 minutes of walking distance of must see sights.
Great location and hotel
We were looking for a hotel for 1 night in good location to port of Istanbul prior to joining a cruise. This hotel was perfect, of the Main Street but well located, just 2 mins walk from Galata Bridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful making the start of our holiday special
Disappointing room
I had requested a definitely non-smoking room but on the contrary I was located in a room with very bad odor of parfume and smoke smell. In addition, the room I stayed had no window, it was like a closed box. This was not mentioned in the hotel room descriptions at all. The room was like a prison room. I was told that all the economy rooms have no window. But then, why do not they mention this feature in the room description? The hotel management is absolutely lying about the room quality when they give descriptions. PLEASE do not believe the descriptions given on line. The bad was okay but the inner walls of the room were all scratched and paints were off. It looked like a cat crawled on the walls. It was like a room wall in the 1st world war. It was not pleasant to sleep in a room where you are surrounded by ugly and damaged walls. No question about the quality of the bathroom. Bathroom was nice and clean. The staff was very helpful, no question about the staff and their service. Access to the hotel was very easy by a tram line (100 meters away from the tram line).
Very neat and clean, service was great.Rooms are a little small but was very happy with my stay.
Nice Hotel close to Cruise Terminal
We have booked this hotel as it is within walking distance to Istanbul Cruise Terminal, close to tram stop - direct line to Grand Bazar .Tram token 4 NTL takes you across the bridge and uphill to the historic part on the other side of Bosporus Nice, clean and friendly. Helpful staff, Bell boy walked with us to the Cruise Terminal, no need for taxi.
awesome stay.
Awesome saty. Would stay again. Perfect location.
Excellent and very well located hotel
A great location as a base in Istanbul very close to transport links (ferry to the Asian side, the Galatta bridge and the funicular to Taksim). The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room large and comfortable and the breakfast decent. I would definitely stay here again.
Good location, for night and day
Small room, but small price and very good location between night life and daytime tourist spots
close to sights and shoppings
Overall is good, staff are very polite. However, I booked a room for 2persons for the first night and another room for 3 persons the following 2 nights. I paid extra for the last 2 nights and was told by Hotel.com that I needed to change room on the following nights since the room for 2 person is not big enough for 3. When I checked in, I got a small room with 2 small windows facing out the walls of other building, feels like a basement. The next day I was prepared to move to a bigger room, I was told the hotel is all fully booked, cannot change room. So I am paying extra but still in that small room.
nice hotel
clean hotel i would like to visit this hotel again
Good location but below average hotel
Positives:good location and fairly new. Negatives:-hard to find as it is in a little side alley -room had a tiny window looking out into another building -requested double bed was not ready for me. Promised to be ready for 2nd night and again still had 2 single beds set up. -room seemed not to be built properly ie phone did not reach bedside table, taps had large gaps with wall. -asked hotel to organise transfer which they did. No cost was ever quoted however after checkout and already making my way to the airport which was over an hour away, I recieved an email from the hotel to return to the hotel to pay for my transfer or just send them my credit card details. Again no cost quoted. Of course I ignored this. -breakfast was very limited and not ready by the set time of 6.30am Would not stay there again. There a better hotels available for the price
Nice hotel to stay at for a layover
Clean and nice rooms, although very tiny, location is near attractions but not easy to find and neighborhood feels industrial but 3 min walk to Galata bridge, may stay again.
Wonderful little hard-to-find but centrally locate
The Peninsula Galata Boutique Hotel is a real find. No taxi driver could find it, yet it is just a few steps away from the Galata Bridge and Karakoy tram stop. That means the central tourism areas are just minutes away, and cheap to get to on this city's excellent public transport. The hotel is on an alley, off Karakoy street, which makes it a quiet place. Lovely and attentive staff, terrific breakfast buffet, clean cool rooms. The lobby has a glass floor, so you can see the ancient Byzantine brick water cistern there. The neighborhood is sketchy, but fine restaurants on the waterfront, maybe 100 meters away; and a trendy neighborhood of restaurants and bars maybe a five minute walk toward the Modern Art Museum. This is a sea town; Istanbul's well regulated and legal Red Light District happens to be on the next alley, where it has been for 500+ years. 500+ shady, disreputable years. You won't notice it at all-- but the few blocks immediately around the hotel seem safe, but industrial/waterfront, not tourism central. This hotel is terrific, I would check in again in a heartbeat.
Great location
really nice quiet hotel away from the hussel and bussle of the main road. Clean and comfortable. Really great location to galata tower, the galata bridge it a 2 min walk. Just what a need for a few days in istanbul.
Pleasant hotel, excellent location
We had a good stay in a family room. The room was spacious and well-equipped, including with a very powerful shower and tea and coffee making facilitities. The location was excellent - just a short walk from Galata tower and all the bars and restaurants in the vicinity, as well as a short hop over the bridge to the Golden Horn and boat terminals. It was situated on a nice quiet street. Breakfast was good and varied. The only negative was that we had peeling paint on the walls in the room, presumably as a result of previous damp problems. There was no damp though, so not a huge problem.
perfect location
The hotel and staff are great , they could not be more friendly or helpful. This hotel is just by the Galata bridge but tucked into a side street; perfect for the tram system; and hence nice and quiet. The rooms are a little tight but spotless, besides how much time would you spend in your room if you are in Istanbul !! Will be staying again, if you can afford it go for the larger rooms , but only fo rthe extra space if needed. 10/10
Nice hotel with nearby transport
Lovely hotel and accommodating staff. We had a few issues initially which were resolved. The hotel was quite close to the main attractions and the sea. It was great because it was easy to get around and didn't feel overwhelming touristy.
Good location
Overall we did like the hotel and would recommend it, although there were a few details that need attention. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the hotel is conveniently located. We asked for a change of room right away because the TV cable cord ran right across the room and was a hazard, especially at night. The second room was better except that the lighting was dim and there were no bedside lights. There did seem to be a sewage smell in all the bathrooms, especially if the door was kept closed. The automatic hallway lights did not always come on quickly enough when using the stairs, making it difficult and dangerous to navigate. The breakfast was generally good with lots of variety, except that there was no fresh fruit and the juices could have been of better quality. They were more like artificial soda fountain drinks, not real juices.
Good localization
Hotel is situated just next to Galata Bridge. Room was small but comfy and clean. Hotel staff very polite. Brekfast OK.
Sweet little hotel.
Good price, nice & clean. Get a very detailed map printed out of the area with exact location marked as it's a relatively new hotel & tucked away in a side street & taxis couldn't find it. A sign on corner of street adjoining the main road to indicate location of hotel.
War mit allem sehr zufrieden, super Personal, alles super sauber und jederzeit ansprechbar, immerwieder zu empfehlen Lg
Bettwäsche war dreckig und keiner hat sich drum gekümmert
Zimmer ohne Fenster, Sauberkeit naja. Nicht zu empfehlen
Hotel/ Lage ok; ruhig und sauber. Zimmer klein aber ausreichend Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit; wir werden wiederkommen
Nice located and nice staff second time for me this hotel and again very nice
Personal muy amable i atento
P Galata Boutique Hotel | Hotel in Istanbul | Travala.com
We really enjoyed our stay at P Galata. It is very conveniently located to sights such as the Galata Tower. Taksim Square is one stop away on the Tunel ride. The Old Town for the main sights like Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace are only a few stops away on the Metro line. Thank you to Shafaq and Mohammed who were very welcoming and were always happy to help. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I recommend the hotel if you are looking to stay in a location that makes different parts of Istanbul easily accesible.
