The windows in the room didn’t close as the handle was broken off. The hotel is on a busy street so with the windows open it was really noisy all the time The blind in the window only covered 3/4 of the window so the light from the street lamps illuminated the room all the time The room was noisy and light which made sleeping very difficult. Which the main function of a hotel room The hotel doesn’t have a front desk so nowhere to get it rectified Hallway was dirty and littered post
Not great
Check in was awful. With no reception they are meant to send a code. We didn’t get it. 40 minutes trying to call while standing on the street! Hotel is very basic and tired. There was no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom. The carpet is old and disgusting The place was clean enough but it did have a grimey feel
Poor Facilities. Tv inaccessible. Dirty stair carpet
Its quiet and pleasant but tv didn't work
Avoid it! Terrible place!
I've stayed in Oyo Bros Inn Hotel on 20-21 Apr 2024 (two adults and child). Booked through Hotels.com. Just want to say it was a worst ever stay in my life. We just went to bed, switch light off and after couple minutes I heard a noise. When I turn light on I saw a mouse running on floor. My daughter was screaming. She couldn't sleep then all night long crying in bed. I have checked floor and I find mouse droppings in every corner! This place should be close by Environmental Health Department!
Shocking experience
The pictures displayed are misleading and don’t resemble the property at all. The Dome Hotel has shut down and the entrance is, instead, a tiny door on the street. Everything is self-service which was incredibly stressful. No codes were sent to me in advance so I had to ring the mobile number (7 times!!!!) in order to get access. In each instance I was put on hold for ages without explanation, given the wrong code multiple times, and the customer service was terrible. The room, once finally inside, was reasonable but overshadowed by the noise - from the main road and also from a clicking, old radiator. Either way, no quality of room could make up for the utter stress of the checking in experience. If I could give it less stars I would. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Disgusting
Carpet on stairs needs a really really really good clean. Tv had no connection at all and was told I had to leave at 10 am instead of 11 usual check out time.
Nice
Terrible place, I want a refund
No parking as well
It’s more like a hostel
The hotel entrance is a door at the side of what used to be the entrance to the hotel when it had a reception etc. once inside the corridors are shabby , old carpet which is dirty. The room itself is okay , the bathroom is old . The room itself was clean . You have to use a code for the entrance into the building and a code into your room . There is no service at all , if you had a problem I don’t know what you do as there is no way of contacting the hotel. It’s more like a hostel than a hotel
Unfriendly staff,I was not attended to and was not given a room to sleep. I was left out in the cold with my kids. The most horrific experience in my life.I did not get a room or refund.£96.30 was not refunded.
smelly toilet old smell
bathroom smelly feels really poor
Dry pleased.... Once again
Great price for London. Clean room. Courteous staff. Good breakfast. 4th time we've used this hotel.
excellent place
Excellent Friendly staff Breakfas even during difficult time
You get what you pay for. Much more 4 your wallet
Excellent . Clean staff were friendly and hotel is worth a lot more than they charge I paid £36 for one night , I would have paid £136 for the one night , plus breakfast was included Had to ask for a heater due to a cold night , 10 stars from me . And it’s V rare I give that score
Fantastic little hotel for the price! Clean room, good shower and friendly staff. What more could you ask for!
When asking for a room on the lowest floor, we were put on the highest floor, quite cold
A place to sleep next to mega bus service!!!
For the price, in the area, very good. Only needed a bed and light breakfast; a bathroom and tv to catch up on news. For this it was good value.
Value for the money
The staff was very freindly.
1st booking fine, 2nd booking Not, booked a twin for 2 of my lads to stay, but the booking confirmation came back as a double, they then charged my lad a further £30 to change when he arrived as they had no twins and made them stay in a triple, seems to me they took the booking then fleeced my lads to change on arrival. not happy about this, especially considering they will be using several times over the next month.
OYO business trip
Nicely updated old hotel, very friendly staff.
Lovely staff, very helpful. The hotel was acceptable for the price, so I that was what I was expecting.
Best choice in town!!
The best value for your money!! The hotel was super clean very kind staff and the breakfast was delicious!! The most important thing, the center is just 10 minutes away. You take only one bus.If I visit London again I would totally prefer that hotel again!!
Not the amenities you expect for over £90 per nigh
The location was convenient for me as I was working just up the road. The hotel is on a main road but they conveniently provide ear plugs, however I could hear guests in other rooms who were very loud... the main issue was that they keep the television remotes behind the front desk, no one offered me one on my first night but it was late and I had work to prepare. The second night I had got into my pyjamas and finished my work and then wanted to watch TV... no remote, after spending about 20 minutes looking under towels, in drawers and cupboards I had to put my coat on over my pyjamas to go and ask, Oh yes, we don't leave them in the rooms because people vandalise them,..... the first 2 didn't work so I had to go back and forth 3 times in my coat/pyjama combo..... which would be alright in somewhere rock bottom cheap but I had paid over £90 per night for this room so not amused, also, breakfast does not start until 7.30 which is a problem if you are going to work. The staff were super friendly and helpful though.
Average hotel
Very disappointed on arrival to meet the sullen receptionist who asked me to sign a disclaimer for not being disabled compliant! Had not asked for a ground floor room but we had to go up 2 flights of stairs as there was no lift. Also to get to breakfast room, was down a further flight of stairs part of which had no handrail. I can walk short distances but did struggle with the stairs to our room. The room was tiny and so was the ensuite. It was however, spotlessly clean and the breakfast was very good.
There has been a facelift to the hotel in Camberwell and it is looking brighter and is cleaner. The quality of breakfast has however dropped
Good quality basic hotel.
Good value for money. The hotel is clean and fairly modern. The decor has a 1990’s Eastern European Retro feel, as did the two ladies overseeing the functional breakfast offering. Despite the squeaky bed the room was comfortable and the night concierge who checked me in was friendly and helpful, and made sure my stay started well..
There is a policy for turning in your ion key to them every time you leave, so basically no privacy. Cleanliness is an issue and the lack of fans is mind blowing. The room is a sauna!
no lifts to 5 floor , no air conditioner , small nonsense heater, very expensive , not clean...very poor
Clean hotel, comfortable bed
Great stay
Was very happy with my stay here . Great shower pressure . Helpful staff
The clerks at the Front Desk were most attentive and tried to accommodate many of the guests.
I emailed the hotel 6 weeks in advance of my booking with travelocity that my husband is in a wheelchair. They booked us on the third floor with no ekevator or lift. The clerk was incredible and swapped us to a ground floor room however the wheelchair wouldnt fit through the narrow doorways. Breakfast was down a flight of stairs. The hotel never messaged back to let me know this so i couldnt book anywhere else once arrival so we were stuck. This is clear discrimination to disabled people and caused my husband incredible grief. He couldnt get in the tub shower to bathe even.
Cheap but cheerful place to crash
Surprised I could find anywhere for around £33 in London. It was pretty good given the price (though about a half-hour walk to nearest Tube, bring earplugs if noise sensitive as it's on a busy road). Very helpful and cheery chap on reception. Didn't have time for breakfast so can't rate that. Overall, would be good for place to crash after meeting friends for a drink, but perhaps not for business if you have work the next day!
Old property. Strong smell of mold . No elevator .
Discrimination with disabilities. Haveing to sign waver ....need refund. Had to go to another hotel. Please contact me. Have not heard since I complained. Begining of March
Great location. I believe you get what you pay for. Simple amenities that meet required needs. Quite comfortable and very clean. Great for a 1 person stay. Very close to a number of bus services which allow good connectivity to the tube/trains etc.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast, room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Enjoyed having bath in bathroom - didn't try the shower. Well located with bus stop near hotel - direct bus to Peckham and Greenwich and 40 mins to central London - one bus change. Good restaurants nearby including brilliant Chinese.
All round ok
It’s was all round ok. Didn’t get chance for breakfast as had to leave too early. Had to park on Morrison’s 10 mins walk.
A very fair price for accommodation in London.
The hotel provided a warm friendly place to stay while our daughter was in hospital, we literally slept there and had breakfast which was a pleasant experience. It wasn’t the Hilton but then we didn’t pay Hilton prices. It was adequate for our needs and the staff were very friendly.
Very nice environment and the staff are very friendly.
It was value for money . Bed soft .
Pleasantly surprised
The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. The ladies in the dining room and the staff on reception were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
Very convenient for Denmark Hill Station.
Only a one night stay, but it offered everything we required at a very good price. The room was basic, but clean and the staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was included. Excellent. The only slight disappointment was the small size of the TV!
Clean. Well located for the 02 Brixton
House of hortor
Was filthy .just stayed the one night and that was enough . Def wouldn’t stay again .
A lovely stay over
We were not there long enough, staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was tasty and a nice selection, room was clean and slept so well, nice hot shower
Would stay again
Only needed a bed for the night, as attended a concert at the O2. Clean and pleasant staff. Good selection of breakfast (no bacon/sausage).
For what I needed under the circumstances, it was very suitable.
camberwell stay
Very well located for us. We stayed at a weekend so there was ample free parking on the streets just around the corner. Rooms were fine - compact but with everything required, good size bathroom. Only thing lacking slightly was the breakfast options and quality. Staff all very friendly. 24hour front desk always useful when out on the p1ss.
Breakfast was ok (very nice scrambled eggs cooked to order) - but no sausages or bacon on offer in the hot choices!
Great staff and room
Great experience and was treated quite well. Affordable and recommended if visiting this area.
Nice close to london, nice food, good local pubs good clean room
Receptionist very abrupt
Receptionist not helpful at all. Room was clean. We couldnt find remote so asked at reception who tol us £10 deposit i told you when you can?me in!
Staff were lovely no lift and room was very old fashioned. Breakfast was okay
It is what it is
Was staying here to visit family at King's College and needed somewhere nearby. It's more of a boarding house than a hotel, you have to hand your key into reception when leaving and there's a £10 deposit on the TV remote. One huge drawback is that check-in is at 1pm and there is no wiggle room at all with that. We weren't allowed to check in until 1pm on the dot even though the room was ready, nor is there an option to pay more for early check-in. As we had landed at 7am, this wasn't great for us specifically. There's no email address or way of contacting the hotel through hotel booking websites or the confirmation email, so you have to ring them which isn't the most convenient if you're in another country. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and comfortable it was. I would stay again, it's definitely budget accommodation (even though it's still not really that cheap) but there are lots of food places nearby and it did the job.
Clean rooms and nice showers, Breakfast was average.
Brilliant in every way
The stay was brilliant, from check in to the complimentary breakfast the following day. Beds were very soft and it came with all the tea and coffee you wanted. The little welcome chocolate was a nice touch. Would stay again if in the area.
Room was generally good, but there was a bay window with frosted glass that could have done with some curtains...
Hotel very convenient to Kings College Hospital
The receptionist were very pleasant and helpful The room was ok, the television could have been a bit larger, bed comfortable Breakfast disappointing I am not a vegie
Friendly Staff Comfortable Rooms
The reception staff were very efficient and friendly ,the rooms were comfortable , location handy for visits to KINGs College Hospital , only disappointment was no English Breakfast although what was available was ok
Not a bad place
A perfectly adequate hotel. Room was clean and had tea making facilities. Beds were comfortable.
Clean and friendly hotel
We enjoyed our recent stay at this hotel, felt comfortable and the reception staff and breakfast staff were all very nice. It's a basic hotel but clean and friendly.
Run down, dingy and on a noisy street I wouldn't stay there again.
very disappointed
I moved out within 30 minutes. Clients must personally carry all luggage up narrow stairs - several flights and sign a paper to say they will take no action if injured as a result of carrying luggage. From the outside the hotel looks like it might be ok. But it is not warm or welcoming and I did not feel comfortable. I moved not far away where the staff were knowledgeable, helpful and informative and the place has nice atmosphere and I felt comfortable.
Good value for money with helpful staff
Brilliant value for money for a basic hotel in a good location with good transport links. Yes some bits were a bit dated, but the room was clean, the staff were helpful and the front desk was manned all night. Pretty good value for a budget hotel booked at the last minute.
Very good will be staying there again
Small stuffy room facing onto noisy street
Room was really hot and stuffy with window shut. With window open the street noise was unbearable. Room appeared clean until inspected further eg. down the side of the bed, the window sill and behind the toilet. Shower curtains were mouldy.
Cheap
perfunctary
nice hotel. Quiet. Helpful staff
Very quiet. Room just what you need. No thrills but excellent. Plenty of food choices all a short walk. Plenty of pubs to chill in. Would defiantly stay here again if working in the area.
Very poor at best.
Not a pleasant experience, from the heating being stuck on full,to the shower not working, to the double bed listing to starboard, to the postage stamp size tv , to having to leave a deposit to obtain the tv remote... Oh there was one positive for the £75 pound a night,, a free biscuit.
Good value for money. Very friendly staff nothing to much trouble.
