Good clean property with good access to Catania and very good breakfast

The property was clean and quiet. The Breakfast selection was awesome - a great variety of cheese, meats and fruits. The host was extremely helpful with an overnight parking space and directing us to the airport for our early departure.

Great location in the heart of Catania!

Great overnight stay to accommodate our family of 5. Close to several restaurants and markets. The breakfast was amazing!!!

Property is an easy walk out of the city passed the park and gardens down the main streets. The bus from the airport (via the bus station) goes passed the front door (ask for 'Viale'). It's clean spacious and modern inside. Check in was unmanned and easy. The only issue is that the windows (/balcony doors) are single glazed and the road gets really noisy from 6am with people using horns. They also empty bins and glass into refuse trucks around midnight! If there was a bit more soundproofing then I'd have no problem giving more stars!

Staff Was not available all the time. Very restricted breakfast choice and support. In the night nobody was available at front desk.

We were happy with our stay and our room was exactly as advertised, would highly recommend.

Internet doesn’t work and reception closes early to fix it

Put in a room with a toilet that is constantly flushing, main aircon not working AND the split system that was installed in the room didn’t work and clearly needed a service. The Main Street was so noisy that we heard sirens all night and people screaming. It was hotter and stuffier inside than out, it was not comfortable to sleep in there at all. Our young family slept with cold towels over us to try and cool down! Although the breakfast was small in options, it was the only highlight of our stay. The croissants were delicious. Thank you, however we will not be returning back.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Limited options for breakfast but good location within walking distance to sight seeing. Late self check in was facilitated with simple instructions.

5 of us girls stayed at OttoMood and our room had 3 single beds and one queen bed. It was perfect. There was a closet to store our belongings and the staff were great to make sure we had fresh towels or we could help our selves. The morning breakfast was simple yet all we needed to start the day. The cappuccinos were good too. The staff were helpful and friendly. Wifi was intermittent, but overall good. Bottle opener in room. Access to a shared kitchen. We left our wine bottles in there over the course of the week and they were never taken. Kettle in room. Cute balcony. High ceilings. Secure building and safe area of Catania right in the center town. Tons of places to eat and within walking distance to the Fish market, beaches, sightseeing. Slightly noisy at night if you sleep with balcony door open but quiet when closed. Great value!

True piece of Italy. Close to restaurants, parks and transit.

Great location and the staff was amazing. Breakfast was great just with the right food options. Room was very clean and the balcony was beautiful. Surprisingly quiet building considering that is located in a very busy street. The keypad control access make the hotel very safe.

A great stay

The girls are extremely helpful and professional . This place was a last minute booking and a god send after a shockingly poor hotel before we couldn’t tolerate!

The property had plumbing issues like crazy! No ac worked, the bathroom showers flooded the entire bedroom and bathroom. Guest services were never Available. Also the area surrounding the building was extremely dirty. Stays away!

Air conditioning did not work and it was very hot

Great comfortable hotel in convenient location. Perfect for a few nights if in Catania. Lots to do in the area and plenty of decent restaurants and shops all within 10 minutes walk. Rooms that front the main road may be a bit noisy for some lighter sleepers, so recommend ear plugs. Beautiful selection of fresh pastries, continental breakfast items and coffee served up by the owners themselves every morning. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful also. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff were great! The only negative was the hallway noise if other guest were talking. It felt like they were in your room!

Great place as it is very accessible, we liked everything about it including proximity to transportation and restaurants. There is also a park nearby. What we were not impressed about was the continental breakfast which lacked fruit even! Ribi, was amazing and it is a whole new concept of running a service

Great place to stay

I arrive in aftermiddnight and its was problem to conntect that someone open me the enterance of the hotel. I was stay 20 minnute outside

The room had a balcony that gave us that perfect Italy feel. Close to great restaurants (the awesome receptionist helped us with that). We had a very comfortable night before a long flight back home. Family of four (two adults, two kids).

Beautiful room and facility with location walkable to key sights in central Catania. Area is a bit noisy at night and street parking is a bit sketchy but cheap.

Lovely little B&B

Lovely little B&B in a superb location in the centre of Catania. Easy check in and good air con in the room - essential in 30+ degree heat!

Great stay at Excellent Boutique type B&B.

Great bedrooms with good quality fittings. Very clean and rooms thoroughly cleaned daily. Breakfast was also excellent with wide range of freshly baked rolls, croissants, and cakes together with savoury items. Good location near Bellini Park and 2min walk to Shuttle Bus stop to Airport. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Only downside is reception is not manned throughout the day. Make sure you make prior arrangements for self check-in if you need to drop off bags before 3pm check-in.

Catania Centro

Great location, plenty of restaurants. B&B quite unique, 2 separate rooms in the same unit. Very modern on the inside. Staff very friendly and they contacted us prior to arrival to ask for our ETA. Location is steps from Via Etnea We would book again.

Really appreciated the level of service at this hotel and the room was large and very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast had warm pastries every day. Parking was offsite but only a 3 minute walk and easy to get in and out of every day. Will stay here again whenever visiting Catania.

Enjoyed our stay!

We really liked our stay in this place. Everything went as it was planned and agreed. The staff was very helpful, the room was spacious, there was a heating system functioning (in October) and it was centrally located.

We loved our stay at OttoMood. Ribella at reception was excellent!! She was helpful, friendly and made us feel so welcome. I feel like I have a new friend in Catania. The breakfast was fantastic!! The best I have had in Italy. I will be staying here again. Thank you Ribella.

Excellent all round

We had a great stay at this B&B, the staff are really friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was excellent. Great location to all the sights in the City.

Difficulty checking in at 3.30pm as advised on Expedia paperwork. Was told it was 4pm so we had a wait. However checkin lady was lovely . The rooms were compact and fine for a short stay. There was no soap offered however (but shampoo was ) and the safe (only in some rooms) were so high in the cupboard that a chair would be needed to utilise them. Lastly - English subtitles , if they can be arranged on the TV - would be a huge bonus as every channel on TV is in Italian. At least for some of the programmes. All in all a very reasonable stay at a property in a fairly good location.

Perfect Location & Great Hospitality!

The staff at OttoMood Ala Ovest Catania Centro were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was awesome! The room was spacious, clean and the bed was so comfortable. The location is perfect. We greatly enjoyed our stay as we concluded our Honeymoon in Catania. We highly recommend OttoMood Ala Ovest.

A great first trip to Cantania.

OttoMood B&B was a great choice for our first trip to Sicily. The room was comfortable. The location was convenient. The host was very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our trip in Cantania.

Lovey Stay

The air con was good to have, takes a while to cool the room so I would recommend leaving it on when you go out, (not very environmentally friendly I know!). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, we were able to check in early as one of the staff was passing by and we could leave our bags in the hotel after we checked out until our train, also really useful. Breakfast was lovely, mostly sweet food, maybe could do with eggs or something. Location is good, only a ten minute walk from main tourist attractions. The room itself was very clean, big comfy bed (double) and the bathroom had everything - although as a girl some hair conditioner wouldn’t go amiss! The only thing that wasn’t very pleasant was when we woke in the morning there was a very fishy smell which I believe came from the bathroom, possibly a sewage issue which may be easily fixed?! Definitely recommend staying here, great value for money!

Good location and comfortable

Hotel was comfortable. The location was convenient to get around Catania. It was in the city, so there was a lot of city noise and traffic. Only issue we had was the extensive mold in the shower. A little bleach would have gone a long way.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene, la stanza era spaziosa, silenziosa e molto pulita. L'ascensore molto comodo (abbiamo un passeggino che abbiamo potuto portare comodamente fino alla stanza). La colazione era buona, varia ed abbondante e il personale molto gentile. Anche la posizione era strategica, ad un passo da tutte le attrazioni della città. Consiglio vivamente di alloggiare qui
