What a great stay! I’ve always been a fan of Excel hotels and stayed in a few over the years. But this is by far my favorite. It’s modern, sleek, in a great location and the staff were very helpful. It has all the amenities and service quality you’d expect from an Excel hotel but also a distinct modern design and flair. Biggest bonus: there’s a laundry room with coin operated machines on one of the floors.
Stay few times and will be back again
In addition to the wonderful spaces, the breakfast buffet was most excellent.
Will be back again
Great stay!
Wonderful!
Close to everything
.
What a beautiful hotel! We really enjoyed staying here and wish it had been longer. We stayed 6 nights and were very pleased throughout the whole experience. Great walking distance to the metro and all kinds of food options close.
It was a bit noisy at night due to motor bike sounds on the main road.
Excellent airport hotel. Just 10 minutes walk (inside) to the departures desks. Helpful friendly staff. Quiet room with no airport noise, slept well.
Highly recommended! Staffs are helpful. New building & located near Hommachi station for just 5 mins walk. Breakfast choices are also great.
Hotel is about 100m to Hommachi subway station. It’s a short walk to the main Shinsabashi strip. Its location is around the office buildings and away from the crowd. I had the Japanese twin room and the rooms are big and very clean. It’s more like a business hotel. Service was to the point, nothing extra. It’s not an issue with us though. Worth considering if you do not like crowded places like Namba, Umeda and Shinsabashi.
Good location & good service
Good location, so convenient to shops & restaurants, and good value. Room is clean & comfortable. Friendly & efficient concierge service.
Overall larger rooms than those in other places we have stayed at. Clean and comfy great option for those staying in Osaka. Their cleaning of the room is a bit confusing with the magnets for guests to use.
Everage
A fabulous stay
Wow, a massive size room for Japan, loved the separate shower/ bathroom and toilet. The location is fantastic with metro very close by, Dotonbori about a 15 min walk, The Tenjibashi-Suji shopping street 5 minutes walk, shin Osaka station about a $25.00 taxi fare. Very modern, clean and has everything a traveller needs for a comfortable stay.
Very spacious
Great location and close to subway line! Easy access to dotonbori too!
Loved our stay at Excel Osaka. This hotel is located on the main shopping street similar to 5th Ave in NYC. Walk to Daimaru, Parco and Dotonbori. The breakfast buffet each morning was a really nice treat! Their bar at night was really cozy where we enjoyed wines and apps there. We enjoyed our stay here and will stay here again.
Bed is very uncomfortable, no support
Beautiful stay
Magical Christmas lights
Modern hotel with some stylish features. Staff were helpful, and we were able to get firmer husk pillows and an extra chair, as there was only one and a small stool, for 2 of us. The room was quite spacious, but wouldn’t be comfortable for anyone with any back issues, as none of the chairs had proper backs. The worst thing about our stay was the revving motor bikes, which continued at least to midnight the first night. Although on the 15th floor and not troubled by other traffic sounds, these bikes seemed to reverberate through everything. We were advised that this was not usual, but as a result of people wanting to enjoy the street trees lit up for the Christmas season. The Christmas lights were indeed magical, with many people photographing themselves with them. We understand it was not in the hotel’s control. The location is on a Main Street, and very close to a major shopping district. Good points - polite, helpful staff, bed was very comfortable, toilet was separate, shower and bath were great, nice breakfast available, handy to station. Not so good- strange lighting controls, which we never fully mastered, chairs without back support, mixed floor coverings, so hard to be comfortable doing floor exercises, too noisy and busy for our enjoyment. Overall, it was a spacious, clean and well appointed room.
This hotel was a perfect stay for 4 nights. The room size is average for Japan. Having room for my large suitcase. Son and I had separate rooms right next to each other. The lobby is on the 16th floor. They were very welcoming, they humored us and gave us a higher room on the 15th floor facing the street to avoid the temple bells. Nevertheless, even at this height, we could still hear traffic that died down.at around midnight. Great blinds to shut out the Sun. Building is very new and modern. The lobby is amply generous with a bar Next to it, with great views The gym is very simple where I perform some yoga stretches. But there are no weights, and the room is rather small.. our rooms, we're perfectly clean with great temperature control. The shower head was wonderfully strong, and the bathtub was large Enough to soak. Daily towels were provided. The street in front of the hotel is very wide and beautiful, especially at night with the Christmas decorations.. location Was the most perfect since it was a 7 minute walk to the train station. 20 min unique stroll to Dontiboro. There is a Starbucks 2 doors down from the hotel entrance which we used every morning. I will stay here again with my next stay.
Hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and room very comfortable. Shower was amazing! Location is convenient for travelling around. Only negative was noise from street, but this wasn’t too bad through the night, just until 10/11pm. (I guess this is expected in central location.)
Very helpful staff, hotel is near or has easy access to a lot of Osaka’s main attractions. Traffic can be loud sometimes with a lot of expensive car showrooms nearby (McLearen, Ferrari, Lamborghini) so may be good to bring ear plugs if that effects your sleep.
The hotel itself was nice, walking distance to the main food area and train stations. Bed was comfy, great bathroom. The only issue the main road outside can be super noisy, even on the 13th floor it was really loud with the bikes sat revving outside, not hotels fault but something to consider
Amazing hotel
Great room, large room and great staff. Friendly english speaking staff. I would recommend this hotel.
The room we had is facing the street. Moor
Staff were super friendly and the hotel was very modern and clean. Rooms were a very nice size and the amenities were great. Highly recommend. Was our favourite hotel during our Japan trip.
Hotel was fine but our least favourite of the 6 hotels we used during our Japan trip. Room was small in comparison to the others with the basin in the room rather than the bathroom and it wasn't our cheapest hotel of the trip. Little floor space or hanging space, even for towels (a common theme in Japan hotels!).
Close to subway station. Clean. Great breakfast at a fair price.
Loved this location and stay. Would do again.
Hotel is conveniently within minutes of the station. Room was top notch and check-in was easy. Loved the convenience of having our luggage stored in the day of checkout so we can spend more time exploring Osaka.
Everything was absolutely amazing
It wasn't that convenient, but it also wasn't exactly inconvenient either. The hotel was nice, the rooms were comfortable. I didn't really interact with the staff enough to give judgement. Good stay overall, would book again if I needed to or would consider this brand at other locations.
Located in a quieter part of city but still very close to the action. It’s directly on the Midosuji line which takes you north to Umeda or south to Namba/Dotonburi within two subway stops. At night there isn’t a whole lot going on but it’s perfect for resting
Nice hotel. Good location
Absolutely loved the stay here, had no issues.
My family loved how convenient it was to Kansai hotspots. Everything was in walking distance and there was so much to see without feeling like you’ve been walking for 30-45 minutes. The hotel itself was very clean. The staff was polite. Our hotel room was very clean and comfortable.
Nice affordable hotel
Good location. Rommier than other japanese hotel. Little dirty at shower drain. Nice sfaffs. Breakfast was midiokie.
Very spacious hotel
Hotel has large rooms for Japan and a great shower. Would highly reccomend
Good services and comfortable beds.
High end area in Osaka
Great service and has all the facilities you would need. Also handy for Honmachi station which connects to other metro lines and very close to Shinbashi, walkable to Glico man. The room was also very spacious, with a separate bath/shower room to toilet and sink, and space to have 3 open suitcases and still walk around easily! Also above temple so the bell does ring at 7.30am, but a great experience too!! The staff were also fantastic and helpful with every question I had.
Very comfortable rooms. Great size and best bathroom in a hotel I’ve had in a long time.
gym room has no dumbbells and no parking overnight in the hotel.
Nice
Funky, clean, great location
Great location, comfy/good size room, very clean and modern. Nothing to fault at all.
Very clean rooms, breakfast is great, very near metro subway. 1-2 stops away from dontobori. Very quiet neighborhood with high end shops and exotic car dealers.
Close to shopping area and subway station.
Excellent hotel
The hotel was perfect for our needs. We had 3 beds in our room for our family. It was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was very good. Location was also great. One street over from a covered street with all kinds of restaurants and shops
Being next to the Hommachi line makes traveling around Osaka amazing, not to mention how close you are to the shopping districts.
Room was a bit dirty on the wall and some spots. Easy access to a train station that took it anywhere in Osaka. Hot during the summer (not hotels fault) but limited food around the area which means you need to walk a bit for food during the summer heat. Overall good hotel. Elevator was a bit of an inconvenient but not entirely bad just need to go up to front desk to ultimately go back down for our room and have to do that everyday when you need to leave
Hommachi Stay
Very nice and affordable hotel in Hommachi. Staff was excellent, hotel was clean, and room was big. Business area so not a lot around but you can find some great hole-in-the-wall restaurants. Also one block from subway entrance.
Go to this hotel, it's great
I loved this hotel, food was great rooms were amazing.
Wonderful Osaka hotel
This was an absolutely fabulous hotel in a good location. Close to subway system
The room was great and ticket all our boxes. The reception staff were helpful and accommodating.
Great location, walkable to Dotonburi. Friendly, helpful staff. Good sized room but layout a bit inconvenient. Would stay again though.
Really nice !
We would definitely stay here again. Centrally located with shopping and transportation nearby. Staff was very friendly and helped us with several things during our stay. Everyone spoke English, which made things so much easier.
Very nice hotel and friendly helpful staff. We will return!
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, room was clean, didn’t feel cramped, worth the price. Didn't like the 2 elevator system if I had to be picky.
Loved this hotel, extremely welcoming team. Lovely spacious room and great views of the nearby shrine. The team really made sure each guest was made to feel comfortable and welcomed. Thank you
Would definitely stay again!
Lovely modern hotel, feels very new. Spacious rooms very helpful and attentive staff! Excellent location a great walk onto town, enjoying the luxury stores including Maclaran, Ferrari and all the top fashion brands before hitting Dontonbori... which is amazing!
Great hotel, staff and area
a most excellent stay. the staff was wonderfully helpful and generous with their grace. i found my next stay in Osaka here for my following visits!!
We'll stay again for sure.
Not a bad experience. Aesthetically nice and spacious. Excellent service and staff. Having said that I kept finding little things in the room that were a bit inconvenient for a 2 night stay, considering the price. The TV system is lackluster, the shower/bath is practically in the middle of the room for some reason, and it had pretty poor ventilation. The lighting system is a bit off too. For example, there's no option to turn on the light just over the sink without the whole room, which was inconvenient when trying to use the sink alone at night when other occupant is asleep. The faucet placement was also inconvenient, too close to the edge. Also, the breakfast buffet was average, which was a bit disappointing. Overall not a bad stay, but perhaps not quite the value I expected for the star level and price.
This was the 3rd hotel my partner and I stayed in during our trip and it was one of our favorite! The rooms were very spacious and modern. The only downfall was that this hotel was a bit far from shopping centers and restaurants, we would have to Uber food on nights we stayed out late since there was no options nearby us. Subway entrances was a bit of a walk but nothing too crazy.
Great hotel
Beautiful and modern hotel and very centrally located. Breakfast was not the best we had in Japan and not all staff spoke English. But lovely.
I like the location of the hotel but hard to find the lobby because it is in the upper floor of the building
I love how clean, convient and friendly the staff is. 1 minute walk from entering a subway line enterance. Close and walkable to major tourist areas around there and midosuji line is the closest line which is the best line to go to umeda namba or any other station.
Excellent
I had a very nice stay. Service and staff were great. Really good breakfast. Shower had great water pressure. The entire place was spotless. Excellent location in between Osaka castle and donbori. Very safe. Also, my room was very hot and I couldn’t figure out how to lower the temperature (The thermostat was obviously in Japanese) so I called the front desk who was able to lower it for me from the front desk, which I thought was really cool.
The room was clean and spacious. It was almost new. Loved the quiet and relaxing room. I was able to sleep like a baby. The location is near all the high end and local shops. I would stay here again.
a great place to stay, close to all things in osaka and close to the shinkansen station as well
The best hotel in my stay! Comfortable rooms and beds. Hotel bar had a view!
Nice place to stay in Osaka
Had an unusual experience in the lounge. My son an l were in the lounge having a drink and watching the beautiful sunset. One of your staff (middle aged gentleman wearing a mask) abruptly motioned to us that we had to move. He gave us no explanation. He moved us to the back corner of the lounge away from the view. We then saw this staffer seat three young ladies in the sofa next to where we were sitting. Why were we moved? Do you require a reservation to sit in the lounge? We were already seated utilizing your facility, why was it necessary to move us and not sit the ladies in the back of the lounge. This was most distressing.
Lovely hotel and great stay!
Easy to find and great location. Loved the hotel bar and was nice to come back for a drink after a long day of exploring. Room was spacious and comfy. Staff very friendly and even had luggage waiting in our room that we had sent from Kyoto which was a really nice touch!
Def rec this hotel if you're staying in Osaka
This hotel was great! Clean, fast service, eco-friendly and comfort. Most Japanese hotels are small but the rooms are spacious here. It's right next to a mall and walk distance for trains.
Close to Hommanchi station. Walking distance to Shinsaibashi and Dontobori
Everything was great for this hotel from staff service to room cleanliness.
Great and cheap hotel to stay at
Very good hotel to stay in!
The room itself was very pretty, clean and convenient but outside noise is terrible. Soundproof isn't that good we can hear people in the hallway very well and since it's in a busy area, we can hear cars outside.
This hotel was gorgeous! We walked in thinking we had the wrong place as we travel on a budget and go for more affordable options but we were welcomed into the amazing lobby and had an incredible view from our room. The only thing is that breakfast is a bit pricey, we just went to Starbucks downstairs as we had packed schedules and only had time for something smaller. Thanks for having us!
This is a new hotel and within walking distance to Shinsaibashi shopping area. Also, within walking distance of Dotonbori. Best deep bath tub and comfortable shower. The toilet is in its own room and sink is outside near the door entry. A Starbucks is next door to the hotel and the train station is a short 5 minute walk. Really like this hotel and its location.
Services, cleanliness, room size and location. One minor issue (not fault of the hotel) is the need to go thru 16th floor to and from the room. You need to take a long ride from street to the 16th floor then almost the same length of ride in another set of elevator if you stay om the 5th or 6th floor.
Excelente. Solo el wifi por momentos era más lento pero lo demás todo perfecto
Overall amazing
Excellent location. Great sorroundings. Many nice stores around the area, a Starbucks just right outside, and a metro station a few steps away.
Wonderful hotel in great location
Business class
Business stay quality hotel.
Pretty good room
Staff friendly , close to a subway entrance , lots of restaurant options if willing to walk around the neighbourhood .
We were happy with this hotel. It's very clean and modern and the lobby is beautiful. The room had a very comfortable queen size bed and great pillows, unlike the buckwheat pillows that we find a little uncomfortable. Although no reflection on the hotel, we did find there was a lot of traffic noise during the night. We were also right across from the Tenjinbashijuji Shopping Street, which is 2.6 km long and the longest shopping street(no vehicles) in Japan. For car enthusiasts, there are Lamborghini, Ferrari and Bentley dealerships right around the hotel. We recommend this hotel.
First time in a Japan and this hotel was the best hotel I’ve experienced.. everyone is soo friendly, and helpful. The room are spacious and comfortable
