The staff were friendly and it’s in a great location.

Clean hostel all around. You could see cleaning done everyday. The kitchen was a huge plus for me because it saved me a lot of money on eating out. Three dinners were provided each week promoting social interactions with other guests. If I need a place to stay in the future I will be back

Well its noisy, and their is no repecy about quiet times and no one to keep control of it. Its not clean enough. Toilet Sinks were not drain properly.

I can't comment on the amenities as I had to cancel my 2 night booking less than half an hour after making it. They failed to respond at all to repeated requests from Wotif for a refund, but instead chose to just take ALL of my money and refund nothing even though their own policy says they are entitled to take one night. Why? because THEY took too long to reply to Wotif's multiple requests. So the lesson here is if there is a possibility that you may have to cancel a booking, DON'T BOOK WITH ORIGINAL BACKPACKERS! They'll just take your money anyway.

Friendly environment and staff Comfortable bed but a bit noisy and shaking

I stayed in a double room with a private bathroom. I pay the same amount that any hotel in the area would charge for the same room. However, the room did not have soap or shampoo or anything to shower/clean-up. Its disappointing to pay more than $100 per night and to not even have a tiny piece of soap to shower.

I was bitten by bedbugs and still suffering from it. Unbelievable that bedbugs can be found in winter time. The staff was friendly and allowed me to cancel further bookings but it is a matter of hygiene; cleaners might do didge jobs.

Shitty “stay”

Very dirty and didn’t end up sleeping there because off that. Basically payed for a storage unit. Very disappointing. If I was hotels.com I would not advertise them.

It was the second time booking here, I stayed in a female only 12 bed dorm and I enjoyed it. Relaxing hostel

Fun for the young

The room was just a bit too small and was lacking any side tables or a chair, basically only a bed. So asked for a chair and that was supplied. Room and bathroom were very clean so was impressed with that. Our room was surrounded by equipment rooms so was quite noisy. the level of noise outside in the courtyard outside was fine as people tended to gather there and party but all were asked to leave at 10 pm from that space so wasn't a problem. Very basic breakfast with cheap cheap foods!!

Bruce was really helpful, checked us in early and talked us through the area. Area is nice and close to shops and tube services and oy a 30 minute walk to the harbour

Ensuite double, good value

So, I'm middle aged, in Sydney on my own on the way to meet friends and family in Brisbane, the price of most half decent hotels is ridiculous and I'm not a big fan of shared hostel rooms, what do I do........get an ensuite private room here is what I do. Price was reasonable, the location is great for getting around Sydney, the staff are friendly/helpful, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There wasn't too much excessive noise from the other guests but road noise was fairly loud (I think the other backpackers had been told off a few times recently!), so ear plugs useful if you're a light sleeper. Towels included in the price of my room and free coffee / tea, also a fridge. Great value for Sydney, would stay again.

Great stay!

I had a single bed with my own bathroom and it was really clean, cosy and exactly what I needed for 2 nights in Sydney! The staff, especially Bruce, was really nice and helpful! I would definitely recommend this. There is also a wonderful organic store/cafe just around the corner as well as a Coles. Great experience!

Nice Hostel

Great cheap place to stay in Sydney. For those needing to go to sleep early in order to wake up early, I recommend getting a room away from the courtyard area. It wasn't too loud after 10pm, but the walls are super thin and you could hear everything anyone was doing out there.

Friendly staff. Rooms very reasonably priced. One of the better backpackers I've stayed in!

Best Potts Point Hostel

Clean, quiet hostel in great location of the city. Only negative is that wifi us is limited per day.

Close to Kings Cross and Sydney CBD and attraction

Original Backpackers is an above average Backpacker destination.It has an excellent common area with a large courtyard and cooking facility with a "Barby"grill and good tables and chairs.

Boa escolha em Sydney

Excelente localização. Serviço básico, mas que atendendo ao tipo de alojamento é adequado. Quarto privado, com condições suficientes. A ventoinha ajuda mas... falta o ar condicionado. Toque simpático o pequeno almoço incluído e, um ou dois dias por semana, jantar gratuito. Oportunidade de conviver com viajantes de múltiplas nacionalidades. Staff da recepção muito simpático. Muito cuidado com as horas de ruído. Em resumo, uma boa opção para um orçamento limitado.

The people at the reception were nice and overall the staff is really friendly. Cockroaches were keeping us company during the lonely nights, and the fridge kept leaking ; the bathroom was dirty as well - we would be inebriated with weed smell on a daily basis, and whilst we wouldn't normally care, this was too much even for us. We understand it's a hostel, we really do, but the hygiene standards we require are not as high as the people that kept smoking in the courtyard.

the atmosphere is very good, the employees and management very very friendly. I liked it very well.

Einfaches Hostel in zentraler Lage

Das Zweibettzimmer war klein, aber recht gut ausgestattet. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Laut bis ca 22 Uhr. Zu Silvester sehr teuer, aber mangels Alternativen ok. Wenn man keine allzu großen Ansprüche hat, sondern Sydney von Recht zentraler Lage erkunden will, empfehlenswert.

Creo que es una muy buena opción (claro, hay mejores lugares si tienes el presupuesto), pero si eres un estudiante internacional o un working holiday es una muy buena opción por la ubicación, fácil transporte, te permite conocer la ciudad ya que estás en el centro, hay personas de todas partes del mundo y puedes hacer amigos y contactos que aquí lo que vale son los CONTACTOS. Estuvimos en un cuarto compartido y me pareció justo. Si volviera a empezar, sin duda me iría por este hostal de nuevo. Totalmente agradecidos. (Pdt: el desayuno es gratis todos los días (cereal, leche, café, pan y mermeladas) y te dan cena gratis 3 días de la semana).

It is a party hostel and all the rooms are facing the courtyard so it‘s very loud. The bed was very old and the mattress very uncomfortable. The location is very good though and our room was clean.

Not clean, feeling safe and comfortable at all

I beat uncountable Cockroaches and insects in two days staying.. no air conditioning.. Staff said cockroaches are everywhere and did not help me to clean the floor when I found the first.died cockroach in my room. Overall not comfortable . Many drunk man hanging at the hostel entrance. Many hair on the bed. Some staffs are nice

Para quem procura algo mais barato

Internet ruim, cama desconfortável, chuveiro ruim, quarto casal pequeno, muito sujo e café da manhã bem limitado (somente pão, café instantâneo e dois tipos de geleia). Cozinha bem equipada, mas funciona somente até as 22:00. Localização excelente.

Guter Preis für diese Lage

Wir wollten ein Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Bad und zentraler Lage. Die restlichen Gäste sind natürlich alles klassische Backpacker, abends ist es aber dennoch ruhig, da es verboten ist, sich zu später Stunde im Hof zu Partys zu treffen, was uns entgegen kam. Zimmer und Bad sind relativ eng, aber das hat man in anderen Unterkünften in Australien auch. Das Frühstück ist natürlich auch nicht besonders, aber zumindest gibt es Toast, Marmelade, Nougatcreme, Erdnussbutter, Butter sowie Kaffee, Tee, Milch und Cornflakes. Wenn man mehr möchte, kann man sich das ja im nahegelegenen Coles besorgen. Davon machen dort auch fast alle Gebrauch, denn es gibt einen Grill, Herd etc. In die Stadt und zum Bondi Beach kommt man mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sehr schnell. Die nächste Haltestelle liegt ums Eck. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es auch einige ordentliche Takeaways und offenbar auch einige Clubs und Bars, wozu ich allerdings nichts Näheres sagen kann.

Nice Hostel in great location & great common rooms

It still a hostel but it's clean and superbly located 2min from Kings Cross train station. Nice big common TV area with sofa's. Kitchen is huge and there's a patio so you can eat outside if you want. Plenty of showers and bathrooms. A bit loud sometimes but that's the other guests and not the hostel so you can be (un)lucky.

The WiFi hardly ever worked and the kitchen was in a terrible state.

离大超市和地铁站很近，没有免费wifi,接机不能提前预定，单程14元，前台挺好的，但是感觉床单不是很干净，厕所的门非常难关，只能开着门上厕所。厨房调味料比较齐全。隔音非常差，墙外边的街上好吵。

何よりもスタッフがとても親切です。私は初めての海外で英語も非常に拙かったのですが、スタッフの対応によって非常に心地よく過ごせました。

Un endroit pour dormir.

C'est un "backpaker" hôtel qui offre quelques chambres privée. Pas de A/C. Salle de bain privée. Il est fréquente surtout par de jeunes gens. Pour les adultes c'est endroit pour dormir. Bien situe au centre de la ville. Les employés sont très sympathique.

La habitación es muy práctica y cumple con los mínimos indispensables, aunque se agradecería algo más de espacio y una mejor puerta para el baño. No obstante, la relación calidad-precio es más que aceptable y es muy práctico estar a 50m de King's Cross, pero sin estar en la calle loca del red district.

一個道地的背包客棧

其實，他是算雪梨的紅燈區，如果是單身女生建議是不要住這個區域。 房間沒有冷氣，只有電扇，還好我們是秋天來住，比較沒有太熱的問題，房間很通風。整理算乾淨。但是非常的小。行李沒辦法完整的攤開在地上，外面有可以供房客烹煮吃飯的開放式廚房跟庭院，如果想體驗跟外國人一起聊天吃飯，其實可以考慮。 機場接送服務很便宜，低於市價。不熟悉交通的背包客可以考慮，對於email的回覆也很迅速，整體來說不算差。但是以想要便宜住宿的話其實他房價偏高。
