Hotel was great , only stayed for one night due to Halong bay cruise . Will keep luggage which on cruise which is really good.

Great Location, street closes weekends for Markets at your door. Lake 5 Minute Walk, Beer Corner 10 Minute Walk. One of the most comfortable beds in our last 30 nights in Vietnam. Good Breakfast Selection. Rooms are a bit small but the bed was a winner for us.

Oriental Hotel and Spa

Stay was ok. Night market was right outside our door. We had a it of a miscommunication upon arrival and the driver did not speak English. Hotel staff were exceptional. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was also excellent.

This property is in a great location with lots of food options, shopping, cafes, and near all prime locations. The breakfast had ample variety which was delicious. The hotel had a beautiful terrace where you can see views of old Hanoi and pretty sunrises/sunsets. The rooms were spacious with great bedding and bathroom amenities.

This hotel is better than I expected and the location is just perfect! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. English is not an issue and everyone spoke just fine! We got the deluxe queen room and it was well sized. The hotel room is quiet despite being in the heart of old quarter. I loved it! This will be one of the hotels I returned to next time in Vietnam! Thank you to all the hotel staff, you are wonderful!

The staff was great. Location was great for shopping and dinning in the old quarter. Night market was just outside the front door as well as the hop on hop off bus.

Great location, close to Beer street and Hoan Kiem Lake. Good breakfast and the staff were very helpful. The room has no outside window, the “window” looks into a interior atrium. The weekend night market is located on the same street as the hotel. Overall a great hotel in the heart of Hanoi.

Nice hotel in the middle of the old quarter. Evelyn from the hotel helped us book all the excersions and everything went perfectly. In Hanoi old quarter, people need to walk on the street with the cars and the motorcycles because the sidewalks are full of parked motorbikes or stalls.. it took us a day to get comfortable with that. The hotel is close to a nice lake and a walk (no cars) around the lake with good vibes and safe walking.

This is not a 4 star hotel. This is at best a 2 or 3 star hotel. I didn’t have a problem with the lack of luxury. However, the rooms are non-smoking and we could smell cigarette smoke in our room during our whole stay of 1 day. The cigarette smell was so bad especially when we turned on the AC. We told the staff about this issue and all they did was spray the room and give us an air purifier but that didn’t help at all. My husband and I get bad headaches from cigarette smoke and it was horrible to stay in the room with that smell. I booked the suite which was about $130 per night, for that much money we deserved way better service. Also this hotel is in the middle of old quarter so lots of noise at night. I recommend to book a hotel outside the old quarter near the lake, the prices are better and you get better hotels. It’s better to live on the outskirts and take a taxi to old quarter to explore. Breakfast was mediocre. This place gets 1 star. Worst hotel experience I’ve had in my Asia travels.

The staff is always great..third time staying at location. The location of property is right where you would want to be close to everything

Didnt receive any VIP upgrade or anything as advertised, was imposed a $30 late check out even though it would have been an entitlement, rain shower was broken, aircon was not at 19deg, door was spoilt so it was inconvenient to get in and out as I have to wait for the staff. The staff was apologetic I was okay but the manager attitude was like "oh yes late check out is chargeable" so I declined.

Very central hotel, needs a little work

Whilst the staff were very helpful and quick to double check administration errors, the room needs a bit of TLC. It smelt of stale smoke (which I suspect is the result of smoke wafting in from outside) the bed was hard, and the shower design was not very good for anyone with mobility problems. However we were happy with our co-joined rooms for our kids, was neat and spacious, and the hotel followed up quickly when our room key wasn't working. Location was great, extremely central.

My husband and I just had a fantastic stay at the Oriental Suites Hotel and Spa for ten days. The hotel is located in the old quarter and we were able to explore the old quarter and the french quarter on foot. We used the spa and had massages, body scrubs and facials. Fantastic service and exceptionally reasonably priced. The staff are exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has a travel desk which we used to organise a walking street food tour, train street and a cruises in Ha Long bay. All excursions were well organised and Ha Long bay on the ambassador signature cruise was a highlight of our trip. The staff had recommendations for eating and shopping and always greated us like we were old friends when we returned to the hotel. I simply cannot say enough good things about all the staff in this hotel. Incredibly pleasant, helpful, well-mannered and friendly. We cannot wait to return!

The staff at this hotel were brilliant. We had an issue with the air conditioning in our room and they resolved it so quickly. The location is also fantastic. We’d stay here again for sure!!

Oriental Suites is a very fine hotel with excellent staff, nice rooms, good spa treatments and a perfect location. EVERYTHING is at a walkable distance.

The oriental suites provided an exceptional experience in old town Hanoi. The suite with balcony was very spacious and was a great place to take a break from the crowded old town streets. We arrived just before typhoon Yagi and after cancelling some plans decided to wait out the storm in Hanoi. All the staff was friendly and went above and beyond to keep our stay comfortable despite the stress of the incomming storm .

We made a booking with the concierge to go to Cat Ba Island, and on the day we were to travel we found that a super typhoon was heading directly for Cat Ba Island, so I enquired if it would make sense to cancel the trip. She informed me that it was not a big deal, and just to go ahead. On the three hour bus ride to Cat Ba we found out that the Island would be shut down for multiple days and we would not be able to return as scheduled. The net is we had to turn right back around the next morning in order to get off the island. Also, there was at least a 40 percent surcharge on the tickets she booked.

Room is small and dark. No desk for laptop use or eating on. Breakfast is average with the same options every day. Wifi is on and off sometimes but speed is fast when it is working. The staff here is probably the only thing I can rave out. They are nice and courteous. Overall just an average hotel for me.

We loved our stay at the Oriental Suites Hotel & Spa! While we did not have a window facing outside, this allowed our room to be exceptionally quiet throughout the night. The staff were amazing!! Breakfast was fantastic. The hotel was very clean and in prime location. Would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel and staff were wonderful. I had a very late check in and a car was sent to pick me up from the airport and my room was ready for me within minutes. The breakfast had a variety of selections. It was very good. The staff accommodated all of my needs with grace and friendliness. I would stay again. The hotel is in the middle of the shopping district which was a plus. I was surprised by a nice going away gift. This is my kinda hotel. From USA.

This was an excellent hotel with fabulous staff. The breakfast was included and was delicious with lots of options. I also got a massage in the spa and it was a great experience. I loved the size of our room and our balcony. I also loved the convenience of this hotel to the all the shopping and cultural items like the big lake and the temple. It was wonderful!

Hotel arrival was great, very attentive. We were told our room has been upgraded which we were excited about, when we got there it was a small room with dated decor and amenities, so was disappointed. If we weren't told there was an upgrade I don't think we'd have minded as much! We also got bitten by mosquitos quite a bit, we only stayed one night and I was evident that the bites happened overnight, so again a bit disappointed.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay here as it was very well located in the old quarter of Hanoi. On weekends, the street the hotel is located on gets blocked off to turn into the walkable night market. The staff is extremely kind and helpful; upon check in, they give you a paper with tips on the city and recommendations for restaurants and shops. The only reason I rated the hotel 4 stars is because the hotel is a bit dated. I understand that it is located in an older building but it could benefit from a little modernization like other hotels in the area. However, we definitely recommend the hotel to travellers!

The staff at this property is next level! They are friendly, courtesy and don’t forget a thing! I would stay here again for the staff alone, but the location is also perfect. Used the spa twice, great experience. I needed to work for a few hours and once I connected directly vs WiFi, everything was perfect.

Excellent quality over price ratio. Very well located in the old quarter, short walking distance to a large number of sites, including the French Quarter, as well as tons of cafes, bars and restaurant options from street food to elevated cuisine. Super attentive staff who proactively reached out to organize pick and transfer from airport. The hotel has a travel desk and manager capable to organize a lot of last minute local or further away tours for a day or more , including transportation, other hotels, activities….etc. The Hotel Spa also offers high quality massages for a reasonable price. Areas for improvements: - bed mattress - noise and heat insulation

Great customer service. Staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and places to visit. Our only problem was our window did not lock and opening the door would cause it to open letting the mosquitos in. My wife was covered in mosquito bites.

The staff at Oriental Suites went above and beyond to help us have a great stay in Hanoi, arranging a series of transfer cars for everywhere we wanted to go. They also tracked our overall itinerary and helped facilitate the tour company’s pickups each morning. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable, and in a phenomenal location with the night market immediately outside the front door.

The staff was friendly and the property in a walkable location. The negatives are that the hotel is run down and in need of a serious upgrade. The quality of the breakfast is poor. This is not four star quality.

Absolutely a hidden gem. Great value — a feeling of luxury at an affordable price. You cannot beat the location as you’re at the heart of everything. I could not reccomend more. I did happen to stay at three different rooms (because I extended by stay twice) and I noticed considerably more noise in the room at the back of the hotel.

Walkable to many areas in the Old Quarter. Staff was very helpful answering questions and making sure we were getting the correct driver on our tours for safety reasons. Also gave great recommendations on restaurants, not tourist traps.

Friendliest staff and super welcoming

The staff was super friendly and even helped us contact our tour people to verify our plans. The night market (Friday-Sunday) is right outside their doors so it’s easy to get to. The noise as not auditable from our room, allowing us to sleep peacefully.

This hotel is ideally located and in a very walkable (albeit congested) area. We didn't even realize that the Saturday Night Market happens right in front of the hotel. The best part of this place is the staff. Every staff member greeted us coming and going, and provided any additional information we needed. We had a room with a balcony, which was lovely and spacious. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

No hot water.

It’s a smoke free hotel but they could not prevent customer from smoking and my room suffered the consequence for 3 days. Old building and thin walls. They did moved me eventually after talking to manager…the staff are nice. I felt safe staying there.

Location is amazing. Right on the night shopping street which occurs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Rooms were spacious and the bathroom modern. The staff were very accommodating and customer focused. Will stay here again on our next visit.

This was a clean and comfortable hotel to stay in. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Even arranged a taxi to the airport for me. This hotel was much more quiet than other hotels I've used in Hanoi. They were responsive to my emails which doesn't always happen. I would definitely recommend this hotel and think it's a really great value for the price.

10 year Anniversary stay

We stayed at the Oriental Hotel and Suites as part of our trip for our 10th wedding anniversary. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. We stayed in a king size suite that had a balcony and it was clean, comfortable and very pretty. My only complaint would be that the mattress was very hard, however all the extra pillows we were given helped with the discomfort. We had breakfast every morning at their Hotel restaurant which had very good food and the waitstaff was again very helpful and polite. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel to anyone who is new to Hanoi for the first time! They even gave us an anniversary gift on our departure from the hotel.

Excellent location and hotel for the price; but the best of all was the service. Everyone nice making you feel appreciated. Hanna in particular was amazing; she gave us advice on what to book and what she though was not good for us; she just make it super easy for us. I highly recommend this hotel

Junior suite bathroom bathtub shower combo is a little weird but everything else was amazing

The entire staff is EXTREMELY friendly & helpful. I forgot my AirPods are the hotel & Hannah/Alice from the reception went out of the way to get it delivered to me at the airport on my way back after two days. I sincerely appreciate the hotel & it’s entire staff for being so courteous, helpful and caring.

I don’t write a lot of reviews but really have to for this hotel. The service was above and beyond from the staff. The rooms were clean and comfy and the breakfast was great. An incredible stay.

Super nice hotel right in the Old Quarter. The staff is the friendliest we met in Vietnam. Bathroom so beautiful. The best pillows ever. Breakfast buffet is great and can even order from the menu which is also included.
