Nice onsen and clean floors much appreciated as everyone are required to take off their shoes after entering the hotel. I came during the new year holidays and of course expected the hotel was at peak congestion. When we check out unfortunately it was the peak hour and we had to wait 45 min for our car to get delivered down.
Very friendly staff. Amazing food. Great room. Staff even helped arrange for a taxi. Was easy to do laundry too.
Close to station, Kenroku-en Garden & Omicho Market which offers great dining selections.
Great as usual
Onsen and amenities were great as usual for the Dormy Inn Premium chain
Most uncomfortable bed and pillows ever. Avoid for that and other reasons. We left after just one night to get a better sleep elsewhere.
We had the double room, it was small but perfectly designed so with some organizing were able to make it work for us. Top points were their breakfast - we looked forward to it each day! The onsen is also fabulous and extras like ice lollies and ramen demonstrates exceptional customer service. I would happily stay here again. Thank you for having us .
Very convenient location, obviously somewhat pricier than usual options, though the hot springs make up for it. Sauna Cold bath combo was great. Food served in the morning is of great quality and freshness, never felt like anything was stale. Lots of variety to feast upon. Did I mention complementary icy poles after finishing up in the hotspring? Very neat and clean. Staff are friendly too. The beds are great and comfy, though pillows might be on the harder side for some. The only thing I can think of that could be improved was just the size of the bins, they fill up pretty quickly in my experience. Beyond that, I definitely respect the upkeep of this place and its workers, I’ll revisit sometime in the future so I think I know my hotel of choice for next time. Would recommend.
Extra features were very nice
The room was great, bed very comfortable. The onsen was very relaxing. There is lots of shopping and a wonderful market nearby. Kanazawa castle is close by, very convenient.
Property and location was great. However the hotel and the onsen were both PACKED.
Hotel with onsen.
Friendly staff, hotel very convenient for main sites, with lots of buses to the door. The onsen was lovely and relaxing. Breakfast has excellent selection. Room quite small, air con very difficult to control despite instructions in English and pillow so hard, lumpy and uncomfortable we both had to stop using them.
Awesome Onsen hotel experience! You leave your shoes in the lobby and they have special clothes for you to wear to the hot baths which are on the top floor. Beautifully done and great extras like ice cream!
This property has excellent public bath including sauna. Good access to restaurants and stores as well.
Picked this hotel cuz it’s close to all main attractions in Kanazawa, has a Japanese feel and onsens. The hotel itself is really nice, has tatami mats throughout the building so shoes stay in lockers at the entrance. The rooms are small, but pretty comfortable and the showers are amazing. But if you have two big bags you might not be able to fit them. The bed, and especially the pillows were hard as rocks, but that’s pretty common in Japan. The onsens are amazing! They have a few different onsens with different temperatures, a cold plunge and a sauna. Guests with tattoos are not allowed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and it was very convenient as it was next to a bus stop and within a short walk to all attractions.
Highly Recommended
It locates by the Omicho market. Really convenient usuinga bus. Super clean and service was excellent.
Stunning hotel. Best hotel breakfast I've ever had, and I've stayed at some 400 hotels. Very sweet staff. Ultra clean. I can't believe it's a chain.
One of my best stays! From the onsen to the breakfast, everything was excellent. Highly recommended.
I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family when they visit Kanazawa. The breakfast is THE BEST!!!
Very proper japanese hotel with high attention to cleanliness. Very high.
Good location, terrible pillows.
Its a decent place to stay with lots of bonus goodies like ice cream after the Onsen and manga library. Also free eveing ramen. However the pillows are terribly flat and uncomfortable. You also CANNOT use the onsen if you have tattoos.
Exceptional.
Very nice place with lots of extras
We enjoyed our stay at Onyado Nano. It was very nice - it would have gotten higher ratings but the bed & pillow were the worst on our trip. However - the amenities were fantastic. Breakfast was amazing with so much variety. They had a mostly Japanese breakfast and I don't think I normally eat this much even at dinner but I had to try everything (good thing the portions were tasting size). There was also a happy hour as well that we took advantage of after touring. The onsen was really nice. They had different pools, including a cold pool and a sauna. Just so you know, this hotel caters to mostly an Asian clientele so the onsen tends to be very busy at times (around 6-8 am and then around 7-9pm). Also this hotel is shoeless. You put your shoes in a locker and wear slippers or socks around the hotel. I'd stay here again but bring my own pillow!
Highly recommend it
Fantastic. First thing we noticed was no obvious signage on the hotel. Once inside you are asked to remove your shoes and put them in a locker. Rooms are perfect, very cumfortable beds and very quiet. The whole place has a sense of serenity. The communal baths were popular even yhough we did not use them.
They only give you one towel to both shower with and take to the onsen hot spring bath. It was inconvenient to have to keep using the same damp towel. Also the shirt pants they provided were not size friendly for people of different shapes and sizes. There was only one size and it was smaller than the average body type.
It was spoiled by the fact that there was only one of me and I was charged for two people. When I contacted Expedia to explain that I had reserved for only one, I was told that the price was the same whether it was one or two people. But the staff continue to treat me as though there were two people staying in the room. So I assume I paid for two people.
The service here was wonderful. Everyone was polite and helpful. Only issue was that the room size was really really small, with no closet or place to put a large suitcase. We got the idea that it was a businessman's hotel, which may explain the tiny room size. The onsen was great. Convenient location. HIghly recommended for those reasons.
What a magic find! Loved every minute. Close to the fish market and other areas of interest. This was our most Japanese hotel experience. Talking off your shoes at the front door sets that special tone.
Everything is perfect.
Nice facility.
It is a very nice clean hotel. Excellent breakfast with fresh tempura, many hot and cold items. The Onsen is wonderful!
Onyado Nono is part of the big Hotel chain, Dormy. It presents itself as a tranditional Japanese Ryokan but with a western twist. The entire hotel is 'Shoe free' zone; which is quite unique even in Japan. The hotel has a hot spring bath, so you can try the Onsen experience without going to an Onsen town, for those travellers whose time are tight, this hotel provides that Onsen experience without spending a few hours visiting an Onsen town. One of the surprise to me, was their breakfast, it has plenty of food and the quality of the food are comparable to local restaurants. The sashmi and the tempura at breakfast is top quality. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is also very close to Kanazawa station and the Omicho market. It was a very enjoyable stay and I can't find any negative things to say about it.
We stayed at a "sister" hotel in Osaka and found this one to be either newer or better maintained than the one in Osaka. I found this property very attractive in its natural, zen style architecture and furnishings. The Japanese "onsen" (hot springs bath) was in a natural setting surrounded by trees and rocks and offered a view of the stars while soaking in the hot springs. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The facilities were clean and felt very safe. I would strongly recommend this property and would definitely stay again!
Good hotel
Everything is fantastic only the pillow too hard love the breakfast love the hot springs love the free 🍜
Kanazawa Gem
This hotel is a blend of traditional ryokan and modern hotel. The lobby and rooms are tatami so no shoes. Convenient shoe locker is provided. The room is good size by Japanese standards and very comfortable. I wish there were hooks for my jacket in the entry, especially considering how much rain Kanazawa receives. The location is perfect, next to Omicho market and near the castle and koen. The bus stop across the street goes right to Kanazawa eki. The rotenboro is amazing and there is free ice cream, laundry and coffee. It is a lovely hotel.
Good location. Nice spa. Price could be too high.
The fact, that you take off your shoes on the entrance and walk the entire hotel barefoot in tatami mats is great. Staff was super friendly and their english was very well (what should not be tanken for granted in Japan!). The public bath in the rooftop was a perfect place for relaxing after a long day of walking and exploring the city of Kanazawa. Although the Location of the hotel is great. It can be reached from the train station by foot in around 15 min. The major sights of the city are all reachable in around a 15 min walk from the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would Love to come Back ourselves one day!
This was my first time at an Onyado Nono property, and I was pleasantly surprised! It provides a Ryokan experience, but at affordable rates with the convenience of being central in the city. The premises were extremely clean, and the experience of walking throughout the entire building in tabi or slippers contributed to the feeling that the entire space was meticulously looked after. Such a wonderful experience! The breakfast buffet was outstanding, of high quality (exclusive ingredients from specific regions, tempura cooked before your eyes, etc). I look forward to repeating and returning often :)
Nice hotel. Has an onsen spa including a sauna and cold plunge pools; very nice with a pleasant atmosphere. No shoes in hotel; hotel provides yukata for wandering about the hotel. Free ice cream treats after completing onsen; free ramen bowl late night snack. Pay for breakfast, but it is quite the spread, well worth the price. Omchiyo market is one block away; worth a visit plus super fresh seafood. Nice!
Great hotel. Exceptional breakfast and amenities.
We thought it was great that we had to remove our shoes before entering the lobby. It kept the hotel clean and it enhanced the onsen experience. The staff spoke English, which was very helpful. The onsen was beautiful and loved the variety of baths. The free ice cream and ramen was an added treat:
What an amazing hotel! It exceeded our expectations! It is very traditional, staff is very helpful, free treats are a nice touch, onsen is great! Will definitely come back!
The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and very polite. There are many selections at breakfast. Love the onsen, free laundry and very cheap dryers. The hotel provides all toiletries. Walkable to Kanazawa Castle, Oyama Shrine.
Going extra mile with complimentary snacks like ocean Ans noodles each day
No Tattoos in the Baths!
Don't book here if you have tattoos and want to use the bath. The hotel needs to advise on the listing that people with tattoos are not allowed to use the bath. I specifically booked here because of the hot springs, and had to pay an additional tax for the hot springs, but on the paper rules they gave and the fliers in the hotel clearly state that people with tattoos cannot use the bath. This is their right, and I know Now that most onsens prohibit tattoos, but they should put the policy on the hotels.com listing for dumdum foreigners like me. Upon check-in the desk person was nice enough to give us some stickers to cover them, but it was a weird conversation about how big they were and where they were located on our bodies. Since the onsen is so particular about washing thourougly before entering, it felt weird to go in with 10 large adhesive stickers stuck on our bodies. Also, the rules stated that no matter the seal, tattoos are not allowed. Period. Everything else was great, free laundry, free ice cream, free coffee, free midnight noodles, nice room, very quiet, roam in the provided Pajamas. It was just a big bummer we couldn't use the bath.
This was one of the favorite parts of my entire Japan trip. Initially, I had mistakenly booked one night when I meant to book two. Although there is a really rough cancellation policy, I had contacted the hotel and let them know that I had booked an additional stay. They accommodated me with my stay and kept me in the same room (there is apparently a policy that they may move your rooms if you book extra nights separate from the same booking). The hotel is traditional Japanese style so shoes off in the lobby, and staff need to clean your luggage wheels before letting you take them onto the tatami. There are convenient key lockers for shoes and medium-sized bags/backpacks in the lobby. The real gem is the on-site onsen that Onyado Nono brand of Dormy Inn has. The hotel is conveniently located near Kanazawa Castle and Omicho market. It's also within walking distance from Omicho Market's bus lines. I really loved this hotel experience. Get the breakfast buffet as part of your stay.
close to the sight seeing
We stayed in the same hotel at Sakaiminato and wanted to stay in here again when we went to Kanazawa. Although the food variety is less than the sakaiminato location, it was still fabulous in terms of food, service, cleanliness, etc! Highly recommend and would definitely come back (maybe even try their other locations)
Beautiful hotel we enjoyed our stay in this hotel so much. The staff provided everything we needed and they were so friendly. Also great location close to everything we wanted to see in Kanazawa. I will definitely stay here again 😊 Thank you 🙏
Great place to stay
The staff was friendly. The room was clean and spacious. Amenities were excellent. Conveniently located Hotel walking distance to Omicho Market. I enjoyed my stay and will book again when I return. Highly recommended.
Very clean
Overall good stats with some improvement areas
Overall the onsen and breakfast meets our expectations and are their strengths. For areas of improvements the Wi-Fi were not very good which was surprising these days. We opted for no cleaning and they did not refill the free water and rubbish did not get cleared so be careful if you want to opt for no cleaning for environmental reasons.
So close to the fish market, Kanazawa castle, kenrokuen garden. Nice hot spring 😍 , free drink and popsicle/icecream after bath. Very cute room (Japanese Style looking)
Best place we stayed in Japan in regard to the hotel/ accommodation.
Such a beautiful hotel and natural baths. Staff very kind and loved my stay!
Excellent choice for this area of town. I lived my room.
Hotel with onsen, great for discovering Kanazawa !
Nothing special really
A great hotel with a wonderful natural hot spring. We will come back!
An excellent accomodation with a beautiful atmosphere.

Thank you to Mr Tanaka for helping us with the room change request. He was friendly and professional. Location was a bit of a walk from the train station but many taxis available so not an issue.
