this reservation never appeared in my hotels.com app. I could not cancel and the hotel never responded to my emails.
Being a smaller hotel, it was quiet. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Its within walking distance of the Royal Palace of Madrid, the Prado and other attractions. We walked everywhere, most locations being less than a mile from the front door. There are lots of food and shopping opportunities conveniently located nearby. We would stay here again
We enjoy our staying Very friendly and helpful staff The hotel is situated at a nice area and a walking distance to many attractions
Photographs of rooms are misleading. We booked an economy room and had to pay to upgrade as the economy room was a box. I was expecting at least a window overlooking the street. They my have to be clearer about what the rooms look like and have the right photo explaining very clearly what to expect. Staff are great and very helpful and profesional.
Great location and reasonably priced
Location is superb. Was able to walk to most attractions and museums. Lots of dining options around the hotel. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
One Shot? Just shoot me!
It was awful. Room small without sufficient lighting. Coffee machine down the hall. No food on premises. Room key wouldn't let me in on second night. Took 45 minutes to get into room at 11:15 p.m. Overpriced. Terrible stay.
The location was very good and the staff were friendly. The only negatives were the coffee maker in the public space, instead of the room, and the rainfall shower didn't have enough pressure. Otherwise, it was a very nice place with a comfortable bed and clean facilities. We would stay again.
Friendly staff, a very clean property and room, walking distance to shopping areas, restaurants and other main attractions for tourists. The only think I didn't like was that the room has no AC.
In a beautiful neighborhood with many places to eat and relax. Very clean and modern property.
We had a better room last time we were there. Big difference between the one we had before. All in all is a great stay . Totally recommend
Great location and accommodation
The hotel is in a perfect location for all the museums and in easy walking distance of the main squares and shopping areas. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Quirky artwork in reception is great. Rooms are a good size and our balcony was a nice treat. Calle de Prado is a one-way street but is very quiet at night, we weren't ever disturbed. Bed was huge and really comfortable and the bathroom was well laid out with a choice of showers. Coffee and tea were available by the lift on our floor. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast but there are several cafes within a short walk that do a basic coffee, orange juice and pastry breakfast for €5. Finally the price for the level of service and comfort is fantastic value for money.
Small friendly hotel, excellent central location
Small, friendly hotel in excellent central location. We have stayed here before and in other One Shot hotels. Go to Brown Bear for breakfast.
We loved our stay at One Shot Prado! Very well priced, conveniently located, and the staff was lovely — they even knocked on our door to make sure we didn't miss our taxi to the airport! We'd absolutely stay here again.
Thanks to professionals people we love you all.
Nice location and room
Visited the One Shot Prado for 2 nights in mid-Nov. There were several protest around Madrid that week and police had closed several roads around the city. One of those was in front of the hotel. The staff provided us with a printed receipt we could use to get past the police roadblocks. Everyone we interacted with on the staff were very helpful suggesting areas we should avoid because of the various protest and a slew of nearby restaurants. As for the hotel, its location within easy walking distance to many downtown attractions. Various eating options were also just steps away. We had a first floor inner facing room. It was plenty quiet, the size was adequate, and the beds were comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to any of our friends. Not sure why there are other negative reviews about the staff attitude, but that certainly didn't happen during our visit.
Small hotel conveniently located within walking distance of all Madrid's attractions. Very modern. Bed was excellent. Safe was on the floor and very difficult to use. I appreciate the safe and wish it was higher up. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back and stay there again.
Claustrophobic
To say we were disappointed on walking into the room is an understatement. It was tiny and claustrophobic. There was no outlook to speak of, just walls and windows; in fact the windows had to have opaque film over them, as you could see straight into the windows of a room opposite. Whilst clean, the toilet was dark as the lighting was inadequate. We will say that the shower was good and the bed was comfortable and there was adequate air conditioning. Whilst we were in Madrid to go sightseeing, there was no incentive to spend any time in the room at all.
Great location
Great location, easy walk to restaurants and cafes. Not too far from the train station but more than a walk with a suitcase The staff are friendly and helpful, they all speak good English
We enjoyed our stay, our room was not cramped. The only two things I will mention.. The room had AC, but it did not work too well. We could not adjust the settings and felt it could have been stronger. Second, the window did not have blackout curtains, so it was hard to sleep with all the light coming in from the courtyard. Although we had concerns, I would still come back to this property.
We truly enjoyed our stay. Clean, comfortable rooms and great staff. Convenient for dining, sight seeing, and shopping.
Great location right in the heart of Madrid. Heaps of dining options within walking distance. Nice modern compact room.
Nice rooms for a budget hotel
The photos are a bit miss leading in my opinion, rooms are very small, walls stained from suitcases banging into them, bed linen could be changed for new ones. The room we stayed in had a window onto a courtyard, the window had a film so that you could not see out of the window.
Perfect location for first solo trip to Madrid! Close to museums, shopping and great variety of dining choices. Boutique hotel, eclectic and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay next visit!
.
A nice hotel for the location but needs upkeep
My room was spacious, comfortable and had a little balcony. There is only one staff member on duty so when you have a request or problem, it is difficult for them to respond but they try and are pleasant. The hotel is looking worn and needs some upkeep. The chair on my balcony was ripped and unusable, the carpet in the hall was stained, and some of the furniture in my room looked stained. A lizard came into my room and we couldn't find it again so I assume it is still there.
The decor is very cute and the property is convent to a lot of food options around.
Loved this sweet hotel. The location in Madrid was excellent. Fun, edgy decor. Beds very comfortable with really good pillows! Very clean. Staff was super helpful. Sarah, at the Pradi location was really fruendly and knowledgeable.
Perfect and very reasonable
Perfect location for walking around Madrid. Lots of bars and restaurants within short walking distance and close to all public transport links. Room was ideal for city break, comfortable, clean and nice design. Only slight downside is there not being any outside seating/ terrace to relax in, but wasn’t a problem for us.
The room was small and simple but very clean. This is a “no frills “ hotel and bargain priced for the area. Walking distance from Atocha, the Museo Prado and tons of good restaurants.
A Wonderful Hotel Close to Everything
A very beautiful hotel with quick walking access to so much! The rooms are hip and modern. The staff was super friendly and very helpful with directions.
Located on a one way street so no problems getting cabs very helpful staff.
A solid stay in Madrid
We enjoyed our stay at One Shot Prado 23 not only because the location was great and the room was good for the price, but also for the personal touches the staff added to our stay. The only negative was the lack of sound proofing from the hall.
The room was clean, it was not spotless as there was some hair in the shower and in the room. The condition of the room is not quite shown in the picture and room is very small. Also, the shower door would not stop water from getting out and the sink area would get very wet every day and every time we would shower. Very tight room.
The location is great though the bedroom is smaller than expected so is the bed.
Our room was a good room for handicap. Great bathroom for wheelchair, grab bars and shower chair. For us it was one of the better handicap bathrooms we encountered in Spain. The room was not big enough to turn around a wheelchair. We found staff very helpful when we asked. The only problem we encountered was hot water was frequently very slow.
The hotel is good value, and the location couldn’t be better, walking distance from all important sights of Madrid! The room was quite small (with big bathroom). It could have been cleaner, and the bathroom floor always got wet when using the shower, but overall it was comfortable and I only spent time at the hotel to sleep, as there was plenty to do in Madrid! Many nice restaurants in the area!
It was the worst hotel experience in our life. This hotel was the worst version of a cheap hostel, a description of rooms on their website doesn’t fit to poor reality; no breakfast, no coffee in the room; location is good , but very noisy
The staff is amazing friendly and supportive.
Great location, walking distance to restaurants and many attractions. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
On arrival staff rude, little help. We arrived at noon, she stated room was ready but checkin time was 2 and for 40. Euros more we could go to the room (all other hotels during a three week stay if room was ready they had us go right to the room) phone did not work for outside calls. I called down to ask about television operations and she was condescending. When I tried to call again she let the phone ring refusing to answer over two attempts ( what if it was an emergency). A positive note on day two the desk clerk was fantastic. At checkout they said I owed for phone calls, like I said above we never were able to make a call ( they dropped the request) very poor amenities, no common computer for quest use to check in at airlines/print, plastic cups in room, no glasses ( they were old and cracked, which looked unsanitary) overall Bad
Location is great, staff is very good but everything else is absolutely out of normal. Standard rooms are VERY small and have nothing: no cups, no coffee maker, not even place for your luggage. LOCATION only.
the area is very convenient, close to everything. Clean hotel. The room is super small but for one person it's good, for two people a little crowded. Bedding and bed is very comfortable even if it's small
The Hotel is very clean and the staff is nice. There are not a lot of extra acomodations but the location is the best
Perfect Location Great Hotel Friendly Staff
I was so happy that we found this hotel right in the central of Madrid. It’s so handy to all the places we went. The room was so clean and comfortable and we made the most of the terrace we have. So nice sitting there at night. The staff were great. The only thing that was a bit challenging for us was the parking. It’s a very tight space to get in so if you are driving a big car or suv, it’s best you find parking elsewhere. But if you drive a smaller car. It shouldn’t be a problem. Besides the parking everything was great at this hotel. It’s also nice and quiet. I definitely recommend it.
I guess it depends on the expectations. The room we got should have been cheaper. Tiny room, with small bed for two. It works for one night.
Great location
Me encanto el hotel. Super bien ubicado y muy buen servicio
i stayed four nights and all staff members were exceptional kind and helpful throughout. The location is perfect—close to city center, with easy walking distance from all the points of interest, but on a street that’s quieter. i felt like a local, but had access to all the restaurants and sites.
Excelente!! Cuarto moderno, Limpio y cómodo. Ubicación perfecta para caminar las calles de Madrid. El servicio de las empleadas espectacular. Pudimos dejar maletas hasta la hora de irnos.
Recomiendo
Muy bonito hotel. Súper cómodo, excelente ducha y cama. Super friendly reception.
It was perfect for what I needed. I had a room with an interior window so the ventilation was not so good but it was very quiet which is great for being in downtown Madrid. Location is perfect. I loved the neighborhood. Still close to the main points of interest but I could still feel the neighborhood vibes. I discovered a small family owned bar/restaurant two streets down called La Cocinilla (C/Lope de Vega 15) that was a taste of home for me. In the 48 hours I was in Madrid, I went there three times. At the hotel, they also made very good recommendations for places to eat nearby. GREAT EXPERIENCE overall.
We got a really spacious room, but the hot water didn’t work properly. We had to wait over 10 minutes to get hote water. When’s we asked to change room, this did give us another right away which was great, but the new room was half the size which was disappointing.
Great location! I loved the big bathroom, great mattress and nice sheets. I was impressed by the quality of the hotel. Thank you!!
Great location
Really good location and nice hotel. Room and bed was small but you don't need much more. There were some areas that needed a touch up and walls pretty thin, TV didn't work at night but worked in the morning. Overall good stay.
The only good thing is location. Not much value for money. Room has no window. No coffee facilities...
Great value hotel in Centre of Madrid
Very good, comfortable centrally located hotel close to restaurants and bars in plaza Santa Anna.
Superb location, great staff
The hotel is conveniently located, and the rooms are well-equipped with the basics. This is a great choice for short stays. The staff at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. Nice, neutral interior design.
We loved our stay at this hotel
Great stay at this cozy, trendy and well located hotel, this is my second time here!
Great value hotel! Nothing fancy, but very clean and nice rooms in a great location. Off the main road so definitely quieter than other options nearby. Staff was kind, spoke fluent English (helpful to us non-native Spanish speakers), and was able let us check in early (we arrived at 10am)! Great value and would stay here again.
Excelente atención
Excelent location
Great option
The location is unbeatable, the staff is super friendly. Some rooms are kind of small, so bear in mind how many bags you take with you.
Nice location.
Great location, quiet, comfortable, great value
Great value for money. This hotel is really well located- on a quiet but central street easy walking distance to museums, Gran via, Retiro, plaza de espana etc. We walked mostly everywhere. Also great access to metro and airport bus. Room was very clean, super comfortable beds, and extremely quiet (although the cleaners did slam doors one morning which was a bit noisy but it was after 10 so not too disruptive) We had a standard room on 1st floor which had no window which was fine as we were only there to sleep but something to think about. Everything was clean and easy to use. Bathrooms in standard room were modern but also pretty much right next to the beds and you could hear everything as the was a space between bottom of the frosted glass door and floor…maybe not ideal for a first couples holiday or with someone you’re not close/comfortable with because they will hear you! Hotel staff absolutely lovely. Very friendly, helpful and attentive. Would stay here again and recommend it!
Two blocks down the street is a Starbucks that opens at 7:30 and a taxi stand that has taxis from before 7. There are numerous places to eat within a short walk. The Prado and other museums and parks are in easy walking distance. Start the water running early if you want a hot shower. The room was fine and the layout interesting. The front desk person spoke good English.
Property was very nice and clean. Excellent location!
Super nice hotel, excellent customer service. Very quite and wonderful location, close to everything.
Will stay again!
Great location, friendly staff, nice rooms. Will stay again!
Wonderful property and staff! Extremely convenient to all. I wanted to stay in a hotel within a block or 2 of where I used to live across from the Palace hotel in Plaza de Las Cortes, near Sol, and the Prado. This was perfect. Because of COVID, there are zero amenities. No coffee, no alarm clock, nunca. (Starbucks and VIPS are right around the corner, as is Plaza Santana. Also, 5 convenience stores all around and you can stock ypur own mini refrigerator.) They do provide shower soap, shampoo and body lotion. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable, the shower is large with powerful very hot water, and the room is supremely clean and large. The staff is magnificently helpful and thoughtful. Extremely clean, fresh towels daily. Despite no amenities, I extended my stay for another three days. I would highly recommend this hotel, the value is incredible. I paid $700 for 9 nights in a double room. Note: Taxis and residents can come into the area, but if your friends are going to drop you off or pick you up, its best to meet them across the street at the Ritz and to take a taxi from there to this hotel which is only 3-4€. Overall, despite lack of amenities: A . Muchisimas gracias! 🇪🇦🌞💕 Suzette 🇺🇸
Great place.. nice staff
Love One Shot Prado 23
We loved One Shot Prado 23! The location was amazing! Easy five minute walk to great restaurants, ten minutes to the Prado and other great museums, twelve minute walk to Atocha train station. The hotel was quiet, clean, and very comfortable, and staff was so nice. Will definitely recommend to everyone!
Perfect stay
Central, clean, perfect
Amazing
Great location and stylish hotel. Very nice hotel staff. Our two complainants were that the water for the shower was not hot (or even warm) and that there is no coffee machine on the first floor. So to get coffee, you take your coffee pods from your room and have to go to the next floor. A minor inconvience, but frustrating every morning when you have to go upstairs or an elevator to make coffee.
Amazing property in amazing location. Very well deigned to the detail. Good taste and imaginative. Full of art.
Great room great service and a great location. Can’t beat it
located at a convenient spot. room was a bit small, not a lot of amenities.
Top notch and
A very wonderful and serene place. the mirror TV's are like from the future to me. Nice to have a. Espresso machine on every floor. And the rain showers will melt the tension rapidly. I just loved the place. Reception people are top notch
Bare bones
Very basic hotel. No TV -smaller room. However, good beds & shower. Hi
The male host was a little rude. No English channels on tv. Asked for a patio room did not accommodate. Pressure in shower was weak.
It was a bit dificult to find. No sign sticking out. Had to rely on the street numbers. But once found you will never lose it again. Staff at lobby 24/7.
Beautiful chic hotel right in the heart of Madrid!
Great position good staff nice room but lacks breakfast
Great location, great staff! Not enough storage to hang and shelve clothing. Thank you.
One Shot Prado 2311/15_11/22/2019
Nice but very small room with window non walk out balcony. No closet. For hanging clothes they had some pipes fitted to the ceiling and hangers. The safe was low on the floor which made seeing the controls hard to see and use also very difficult to get things our of the back of the safe unless sitting or kneeling on the floor. Quiet room on the third floor with espresso maker out in the hallway near the elevator. Clean room with nice wand and rain shower combination. Swinging frosted glass door is the only privacy offered for the toilet.
Great location, steps to Prado and Tissen museums, close to Retiro park. Very helpful staff ( Thanks Santiago). Very clean and nice room with terrace. Very recommended. A .
The hotel was in a great location. Walking distance to the Prado, great restaurants and shopping. No closet or drawers for clothes storage.
A clean, comfortable, quiet hotel, in a good location.
Lovely and clean place. Conveniently located
Stylish luxury in central Madrid
I had a great stay in One Shot Prado 23...it was stylish, quirky, comfortable, super quiet and in such a great location. The staff were really friendly and the idea for the photography theme was a nice touch too.
Not recommended
This hotel is in a good location but definitely a 2-star hotel by American standards. The room wasn’t very clean, sheets had stains and small tears, etc.
The location is amazing and the staff are friendly and attentive.
We loved how centrally located it was but also how quiet it was around the area
Horrible no AC no trash pick up no nothing the worst hotel in Madrid for the price. There’s way better ones with a small difference. Couldn’t stay my 3 nights there so I book another hotel for the other 2 nights since I got no option to sleep there my first night. Was nightmare the room was at least 80 degrees inside at 10pm. The hallways are so hot by the time you get to the room you already sweat like a pig! There’s no fans so I bought a 20 euro fan but still we couldn’t sleep the all first night. My kids were sweating all night! Horrible experience bad service bad hotel!
G 5 out 5reat Hotel Great Location
The room was so small. The bathroom was totally exposed to the bedroom .There was no place to put your clothing, not one dresser or drawer.. The setup was terrible. You had to go into the hall to make coffee and the machine was broken half the time.
One Shot Prado | Hotel in Madrid | Travala.com
Not cheap given that we are traveling off season but the rooms are large by European standards and very clean. Location is great. Very near theater district and lots of nightlife
