Nice views and breakfast, room was ok, needs updating and maybe a more comfortable bed. Desk staff were great.
A beautiful, convenient spot for a family getaway. The staff was very friendly and welcoming (with the exception of the server at breakfast on Wednesday morning), and the pool hours were perfect for our three active munchkins. The dining room was under construction while we were there, and there was a conference or two onsite, but neither of these were disruptive. The only sad thing was that we were unable to access the pool-top patio due to the construction, but that just means we will have to go back again!

Had a great stay
Our stay was good. Current renovations were understandable.
great
The rooms are very spacious with lovely furnishings and very comfortable beds. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Inn was undergoing renovations in their dining rooms, so we were unable to dine at the resort at the time. We would absolutely stay at the resort again!
We stayed for 2 nights and did not have any hand towels. I assumed that they didn't provide them but others in the hotel had them. I know you can do anything about the weather, but I think you could have done a lot better clearing the snow/ice from the doorways. For the price, a nice continential breakfast could have been provided.
I am a local and have stayed at this property countless times over the span of 30 years. I have always enjoyed my visits; I love the cozy feel, and the view of Blomidon is stunning. The food in the dining room is always delicious. The room renovations were desperately needed and they’re now much improved. A lovely spot to stay during a visit to the Annapolis Valley!
Good price, great service.
Nice stay, the staff should be commended. Easy check in check out. Some of the hotel is dated, but clean. The room we were in was very noisy, but being next to the front desk we can see why. Very gorgeous property.
I didn’t like the guy at the front desk, the afternoon of Sat Feb 15th when I asked if they could manage the disruptive behaviour of the teenagers who just checked in. He responded, its 5:30 pm he cant take a noise complaint. I said if their behaviour of running up and down the hallway shouting at each other, blocking the use of the only elevator and acting like caged animals in the pool area are an indication of what is to come later on, it will be a problem. The woman at the desk said they would look into it. Not sure what his issue was but that was the appropriate response. We paid good money to stay there for a relaxing weekend together. It was fixed (by the woman, I assume) and we enjoyed a wonderful evening at the restaurant and a quiet restful sleep.
Staff was great! room and restaurant were also great!
I just like this place!
Too many teen sports teams terrorizing the place. Hot tub was out of order. Dont stay here.
Beautiful property! This is our 4th time staying. It gets better each time
Property under construction Hot tub outside all closed up Loud at night people laughing At 0700 someone scrapping the ice off the walkways right by our door. A lot of money for a night not impressed
All Good
The views overlooking apple orchards are exquisite. This old property has new owners who are taking the Inn into a five star accommodation. In spite of renovations, the dining remains top notch.
Very clean hotel .Nice breakfast . Very Modern
Myself and a business colleague were pleasantly surprised with the new wing and facilities. In addition, the dinning area and options for food plus drinks. Well worth the price and passed the test!
I found the property beautiful and clean but a bit dated. The showerhead was terrible and the noise of kids running the hall and dogs barking...not good
Liked the modern facilities and the location. The staff were great. The cleanliness of the room was ok although if a pet was in the room it should be fully cleaned or rooms should be designated as specific pet rooms
The staff here are amazing and the food is lovely. It looks like renovations are underway which is needed as it’s a bit dark and dated. My only comment is the bedding. The top sheets are very thin and not plush like other hotels. Was it a big deal? No as the rooms were nice and toasty. Lovely stay
This place is so comfortable and the beds are absolutely the best,, the service in the dinning area and at the front desk were perfect ,, friendly and extremely kind ,, looking forward to staying here again soon
Awesome refresh on the rooms - and love the new outdoor hot tubs! Excellent meal in restaurant!
Very kind people! Great place! Food was excellent! Would recommend the place!
Great place and friendly staff. Nice refresh
Great stay
Awesome experience
My friends and I enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing. Staff was very nice and prompt Great place to stay if you’re travelling or just want a night out of the house. Definitely will be going back again
I will stay here again
Easy check-in, friendly service. I have no complaints.
We enjoyed our stay and dinner.
Orchard
Home away from home
The stay was excellent the room was comfortable lots of room had a view room of the valley nice restaurant well worth the stay also great to work from
I mistakenly booked a double room that was not in the Inn but rather in a cabin. Figuring that the cost was about the same, the images looked like a glamping kind of space I decided to keep it. Big mistake! The beds were comfortable but the rest was underwhelming based on the cost. It never quite warmed up. The cabins are summer cabins. Not insulated. The bathroom was cramp with a shower that doesn’t allow for much movement. Barely enough warm water for two people to shower. Overall very disappointing.
I stayed in one of the cottages. It wasn’t clear when booking that there isn’t wifi in the cottages. The meal in the restaurant was mediocre at best and pricey.
We will defiantly be back ! Beautiful place
I stayed in one of the cabins. The bathroom was a bit small and the shower head was too low. However, the beds were comfortable. Didn't take me long to fall asleep and I slept well. I also couldn't watch the TV but I really didn't need to; I was outside for most of my stay and didn't spend too much time in the cabin. On the one day when it rained I had a book to keep me busy and my cellphone (it was easy to get on the inn's Wi-fi; no issues whatsoever). I ate at the restaurant one day and the food was delicious. For the reasons I mentioned earlier, I am deducting a point, but my overall experience was still grear. I'd recommend the Old Orchard Inn to anyone.
It was great to be back to The Old "O". It looks like the new ownership has things going in the right direction. It was nice to see weddings in the barn and that the cabins are still available. Keep up the good work.
It’s ok - a bit expensive for what you get. I think they like hockey teams and weddings to fill the place
Stayed in the cottages and they were so quaint ,rustic and very quiet . The grounds were beautiful and the scenery was absolutely stunning . Staff was so friendly and welcoming. Great place to stay !
Beautiful
Business trip
Great location, comfortable beds, friendly staff. The cabin was outdated and musty, but allowed me to bring my dog.
Great spot
Rustic and cozy cabins. We will be back. Excellent, friendly staff.
We stayed at the cabins for the first and it will not be our last!! What a wonderful trip. 10/10 would definitely recommend Old Orchard Inn and their lovely cabins
Bed had been slept in and not change, dirt and hair still in the bed. Cleaning supplies and dirty clothes still in the bathroom. I asked for someone to come and change the bad sheets and they said they had no cleaning staff left on site, but if I came and got the sheets I could change them myself. At $240.00 per night and I have to clean the bed before I can sleep in it! Wow Once I said no, they offered me another room and it was much better. We have stayed here a total of three times. The first two times the rooms were not perfect but not enough to make a complaint about. This time was! I don’t normally post reviews but I feel this should be shared. If they are going to charge those prices, they really need to improve their level of cleanliness! I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
Everything about our stay was lovely the property was beautiful the amenities were great I over the gym. However the only issue we faced was when we came to check in I found the lady a little rude with us when we didn’t have a credit card , we had a Visa debit and nowhere on our booking did it say we needed a real credit card. We will be back as everything else was lovely
We stayed at the old orchard inn cabins for three nights and loved its charming atmosphere. The inn is located in close proximity to Wolfville and vineyards. We loved that inn offers activities for everyone on their property (ex disc golf, horseshoe, washers, basketball, pickleball, firepit etc).
Stayed for a wedding I was standing in, the cottage was lovely. The washer toss/ corn hole area was fun, and lit up beautifully at night.
Lovely cabin and surroundings.
Dinner service ended too early Waitstaff friendly; though, one was rushed and harried
This property was well situated and had fabulous customer service. Some of the rooms amenities were a little tired. The grout in our shower stall needed to be either scrubbed or replaced and the carpets were stained. While the furniture was old, the bed was quite comfortable.
Friendly staff. Rooms and facilities are very dated and in desperate need of a renovation. Restaurant was mediocre. Not good value for money.
Great facilities, excellent staff, delicious food!
We stayed in one of the cabins. No wifi but cabin was beautiful.
Very cute place. We stayed there as there was enough cabins for us. Very cute. They need to improve on parking spaces for the cabin. Not great if you have two cars but one being a truck.. (We had two cabins) it was hard to fit the truck. Dining in the restaurant.. the food was subpar but we weren’t there for that. I would return for another stay as everything was close by like 5-10min drive
Lovely cabin, wonderful beds, pillows and clean linens. Would’ve loved a small table inside to eat at.
We did not stay in the hotel. We were in a cabin. The most horrible experience in my whole 3 week trip. I never would have chosen a cabin but we ended up there. We tried to move right away but other locations were booked. Don’t go there
Food at the restaurant was amazing
The Old O is a dated facility. Tired furnishings & carpets. For $300 dollars / night we expected better. 2 bottles of water in the room is not good enough. A complimentary breakfast should have been included in this price.
There were three of us in the cabin with towels etc. for only two. Several long brown hairs on a sheet and the bathroom sink drain did not work well. However, no apology offered at check out.
View
Very nice property in a beautiful area of Nova Scotia. Definely going back
It was a beautiful property, I think the cottages were overpriced for what they had. I can rent a cottage in PIE for half the price and have everything I need. Two separate rooms, fridge, stove microwave and dishes etc,”. Just have to bring food and drink.
This was our early week-end in Wolfville. Overall stay was great. Rooms and a/c could use a major update. Will be back.
Cabins were very cute and had everything we needed. But... we were able to have a wonderful breakfast and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine up on the deck. Glamping at its best!
The cottages are very nicely designed and furnished. The only negative is that it is right next to the highway so the traffic is heard all night.
Very dated venue. Staff were not terribly professional in presentation or service.
Room was dirty, requested to be cleaned. There was cobwebs in the room and bags. Floors were not cleaned. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Don’t waste your money. It costs us $188.10 room $10.00 resort fees 28.20 tax Very disappointed. Will never stay there again.
Like the cabin its so cozy
Very disorganized at check in. They could not find my reservation, and did not have the room available I booked. After time they sorted it out…
It was a cute spot
Cabin was clean and perfect for our needs.
Such a lovely spot. Highly recommended!
Property is a little dated. But overall, I would stay at this hotel when I’m in the Wolfville area again.
We stayed in the cabins, which were basic but still cute! A bit pricey for what you get, but overall good. The resort is starting to show its age, but staff were great.
We stayed in one of the cabins. It was nice to have a private space, but the cabin was very dark and the service for the cabins was very poor. Quite a few broken things in the cabins as well. We still enjoyed our stay and the restaurant was beautiful.
A beautiful place to relax!
Nice stay
Beds were very comfortable
Beautiful property and room!
We were in a “superior cabin” but it was quite rustic. Bathroom was tiny and in need of updating.
While the location is nice enough the cabin we stayed in at 160/ night while adequate had a very small shower and unfinished bathroom. Also the exterior safety light placement shined directly onto one of the beds through the skylight . Small details but could be very annoying for some.
Not the Experience Expected.
We were expecting a classy place for the price. It was nice enough in the room but when I reserved I said for 3 adults and there was only towels for 2 in the room. The shower water tap was so hard to turn on that I went to the front desk to ask how to get the water to flow. The desk told me to pull harder ! That worked .. In the morning I asked about the breakfast and I was told that there was no "free" breakfast ! The internet was so bad that I could not read my emails. I used the data on my phone to answer a few emails that I needed to answer .. Mario McClure
The cottage was sweet and cozy. Food atvtge restaurant lovely, and SPA was wonderful!
Cottage was very clean and airy smelling. Beds were comfortable. However, things that would have made the stay more enjoyable were a stove, chairs for the table, dressers, and hooks/ towel holders in the bathroom. Did have many little extras which were nice - frisbee golf, walking trails, swimming pool, wine tasting, and dj playing music in the barn during the evening. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Old Orchard Inn.
Love this place
Could not get a table for dinner
We had our hopes for this Inn, the mist expensive on my trip but the oldest, stuck in the 70’s. Our room was old, lights broken, old carpet smelled like an old skating rink, horrible. Furnishings were from the 70’s, chipped and ugly. I complained canceled my 2nd night reservation. That night they moved us to a newly renovated room, which was nice. The dinning room was ugly and old and service was very odd.
Stunning
Absolutely loved it here! I will be taking advantage of the spa on the next trip.
When we arrived our accommodation was ready and very clean. Every staff member we spoke to was very pleasant and helpful. We had breakfast the following morning and it was delicious.
Nice location if you want visit the wineries in the region. Staff were very helpful and prompt. Pool was enjoyable when the weather wasn't cooperative. A convenient little cabin to sleep in.
Property under rennovation
Amazing view and amazing food
Cottage toilet slow running; light burnt out in room. Staff were excellent. Free apples a nice touch.
very nice hotel. quiet. nice restaurant
Beautiful area and hotel. Well maintained, clean and all staff excellent and friendly.
Pros: inexpensive, beautiful outdoor bar area overlooking the valley, close to town and shops and restaurants, comfy beds and clean sheets, nice bathtub. Cons: smelled like old cigarette smoke, our first room, a cabin, did not have AC so we had to change, they were very nice about it. Carpeting in restaurant and in rooms is very dated and dirty looking. If the hotel invested in flooring, the place would be really wonderful! Message to hotel… Wood or vinyl flooring is so much more practical than carpeting these days. It was fine for one night stay.
