Amazing
Don't miss out on the excellent culinary experience at their on site restaurant. AMAZING!
Great place
Great property in Cheadle in a park setting. When booking you may choose to call the property to see if there’s a party booking as this may delay a quiet nights rest. The staff are great ad would recommend prebooking breakfast at the property and sitting out on the deck if weather permits. Easy to get around but car is a must.
Enjoyed a one night stay in a playground suite on our way back from the Peak District.. beautiful building, comfy bed, very nice bathroom and amenities… fabulous breakfast.. recommend
weekend break
Lopvely hotel, with really good staff. Always friendly and helpful. Food very good with good choices
Great little hotel
Really lovely small hotel. Great staff, lovely food and the rooms are fantastic. About 20 mins drive into Manchester city centre. Great value
Very nice stay, room was really good and had everything we needed, felt it was missing a few minor details that would make it a 5star hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The only thing we thought was poor was the dining experience. The food was not up to standards expected and rather tasteless. Breakfast was good. Would stay again but would eat elsewhere.
The room was nice but it was very cold , and despite turning up the thermostats it remained cold , in the morning we asked reception to override the thermostat and turn the heat up, it wasn’t enough to be comfortable. It also has an open bathroom area in the room, so going to the bathroom during the night , lights on and a flush of the toilet completely disturbs a partner sleeping. For the reason we wouldn’t book again. Breakfast was good.
Stylish Room
Lovely spacious room. When we arrived the heating had been put on, as well as the radio, to create a welcoming feel to the room. Communal areas and restaurant were cooler with mobile heaters in place. Only downsides were the limited parking available and the noise from 5 am of a vehicle struggling to leave in the icy conditions.
Handy for Manchester airport
Pleasant stay close to Manchester airport for 2 nights before flying home to Australia. Handy for dropping off hire in Cheadle. Freezing cold weather so didn’t get chance to see the surrounding park land. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Found us a ground floor room as we had a lot of luggage and we didn’t fancy carrying it up to the second floor. They did offer to assist but changing rooms was more sensible.
The property was excellent. Unfortunately the food wasnt to the same standard, very disappointing in fact
Boutique Hotel
Lovely boutique hotel set in wonderful surroundings. Got to the hotel late and check in was smooth and staff were friendly. Only downside would be the noise from the planes which can’t be helped with the close proximity to the airport.
Impartial
Shower was a bit rubbish
Great location
Spacious comfortable room with lovely view of the park. The room generally was very clean although some of the decor especially the skirting boards needed some tlc. Also, bathroom smelt musty and there was some black mould on shower ceiling . Considering the price point I feel the room lacked a few extras such as bathrobes and as there was a fridge in the room fresh milk would be welcome. Despite these few shortcomings I would stay again as the location was perfect for our needs and the staff were especially friendly, helpful and efficient.
A nice hotel in a quiet country park setting.
Fabulous hotel
Lovely Stay
Lovely hotel, nice food and friendly staff.
Amazing omelette breakfast is wonderful
Always a pleasure to stay here when visiting the family . Easy parking and nice setting - best omelette fluffy and perfectly seasoned
Beautiful hotel and ideal for staying before travelling from Manchester Airport. The hotel was very clean and staff were friendly. We were asked to provide our arrival time but the room wasn’t ready yet, and the bar was full when we arrived with staff, so we had to wait in a cramped corner. The WiFi also wasn’t working throughout our stay. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay!
Loved it Wish we had known about the window blind in toom 27
Lovely welcoming reception and bar staff
Booked this place as a surprise for my partner, listed as five stars, I had mildly high expectations that unfortunately were not met. Shower leaked into the room which from the discolouration from the carpet appears to not be the first time, was a substantial amount of water and left a puddle which lead the room to smelling damp for the rest of our time there. Also our room wasn’t able to lock from the inside. I brought up both these issues with the front desk and the lady on shift said the lock was due to a small screw becoming loose. I just feel as though for the price and for the rating these details should be considered before guests arrival and not be left for them to find.
I booked a club room as a 60th birthday surprise. Then a couple of days before i was due to go i noticed that the hotel had changed my reservation to a park room. I don't know if they were going to let me know? When i rang to find out why they said there was a plumbing problem in the room, and no other club room was available. I found that a bit strange as i had booked the room at least two weeks before so surely they had plenty of time to put me in another club room. They also charged me for a snack bar from the mini bar that we definitely did not have, so whether it wasn't there in the first place i don't know. Saying that, it's a nice hotel, the room was nice, and the stay was fine. I have been to the restaurant a number of times and the food has always been very nice.
Unusual
Nice, quirky, boutique hotel.
We chose the property for its proximity to the airport. And while the flight paths were right overhead, it was extremely quiet in our room. We found that amazing. It was a beautiful area as well.
Wonderful and historic building. Staff great. Next door room had room service and placed plates outside room when finished that we noticed when returning to our room. These had not been taken the following day and was still there at 10.30 when we vacated our room. It’s a shame the housekeeping wasn’t either up to a basic standard or they are not given enough time to clean properly. All glass in bathroom covered in water marks, mould in shower on all shower walls. Lots of dust on lower surfaces and on furnishings such as chairs etc. Internal draws dirty including snack draw. Bath still had somebody’s soap scum on rim. Above bin on wall and white wardrobe covered in tea/coffee spills. Mirror smeared. Paint in bathroom pealing off and need of serious repair. Continental breakfast was very poor. Cereal, juice, bread and 1 smoothie. No meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, pastries (only small muffin) Hot food. Omelette burnt and cooked breakfast poached egg was well done. Not a great experience.
Lovely staff. Situated in a popular park. Lovely surroundings.
We booked a £230 room for our wedding night. The room was nice but very standard, with no extras. We were only given one towel between us. Mould around shower ceiling. Nice breakfast. Overall nice hotel, but a bit disappointed with our stay. Didnt feel like valie for money
Beautiful hotel in lovely tranquil surroundings. I had a very large well appointed room. With fabulous black out blind
Great unique hotel boasting 5 start rooms, all rooms have AC and a great rainfall shower. Smart TVs, tassimo, music and well stocked mini bar. Bedding great. Not much to knock at all
Great hotel - enjoyed our stay
Beautiful area. Loved walking around and feeding the ducks. Small 3 par golf course was fun after a long drive. Beautiful suite! Loved the tub! Nice bed!
Great location friendly staff
Great location and great friendly staff. The room we had did smell a little damp when we got in but open windows and a bit of heat from the air con soon sorted it.
.
Beautiful property, lovely staff and great surroundings. From the winding road on entry and the warm staff welcome, to the amazing decor and even better room, it's a lovely place to stay.
Odd fellows On the Park was amazing
The Oddfellows In The Park was amazing. A beautiful hotel built in the 1860’s. Our room was beautiful and very clean. The service was great. The restaurant was awesome. Every meal was delicious. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to everyone.
Oddfellows On The Park is a fun, whimsical boutique hotel in the Cheadle area. We enjoyed our stay. The dining was good and walking on the grounds was fun and relaxing.
Absolutely the best combination of old and new
Room weren’t as clean for a 5 start hotel. Could have been cleaner. The toilet was disgusting when you lifted the toilet seat. It’s as if someone had d***** and it wasn’t cleaned up. Wasn’t impressed with that. Overall, staff were pretty friendly and inviting.
A beautiful hotel with a fantastic restaurant. The roll top bath was an added luxury. We will definitely have a return visit. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so special.
I loved the nostalgia of the property. It was incredible. The rooms were nicely done and the food for breakfast was wonderful. Parking was a little lacking close to the Hotel.
Nice room comfy bed
Always a nice room and staff to stay when we visit our family .
Lovely hotel
Lovely room clean and warm Nice staff Lovely breakfast.
Amazing stay would recommend weekend break away, booked the suite.
Great place - will use it regually now instead of the village
The staff were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. They were able to assist with all of our requirements and went above and beyond to do so. Our stay was incredible as we were given a complimentary room upgrade on top of it all. A special thank you to Amanda for all her kindness and making us feel comfortable. Beau was very helpful and kind.
Fab & Groovy hotel
Superb location in the middle of a beautiful park. Very hungry and friendly ducks nearby (food for sale at reception!) Bedroom was interesting and comfortable with park views out of both windows. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was limited but very tasty and excellent quality. Chef really seemed to care even about breakfast which bodes well for other meals there. Very recommended.
The room was clean and really comfy. The decor was quirky with a fantastic bathroom. The staff during the day were great, at evening on our return not so much, but it was midnight on a Saturday night. The breakfast was lovely with an option for all. My only downside was the lack of parking at the property. Not a great deal of spaces. Overall a great little find
No where near worth the money. Not luxury.
Cons: Hardly any parking. 5 min walk to pay and display parking. Dirty rooms. Mould in shower, all in the tray, grout, screen. Mould on ceiling. Hair in the bath. Bloodline stains on the blinds. Dusty heated towel rail. No robes. Only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel each. Noisy heating/air con. Lumpy pillows. Mattress too firm. No instructions to use the phone or coffee machine. Breakfast closes earlier than advertised so missed out. Can hear flushes of other peoples to I’ll eye through the night in the Kendal suite. Right under the flight path so planes from 6am. Pros: Jake in the restaurant was polite and professional.
The image on expedia showed a bath tub in the room hence why i booked a more expensive room, but when i arrived this was not the room shown in the image.
Stay away...it's mine!
A hidden gem. The staff are amazing. The hotel and rooms are out of this world. Great food. Lovely ambeince. Set in parkland too and only minutes from a heap of great restaurants and pubs. Too banana!
So beautiful
Good quality hotel in stunning location within a quiet park. Heating seemed to be a problem across the whole hotel this time - and whilst the team tried to help, it did not really improve for us.
Wonderfuk
Really beautiful boutique hotel. The staff are lovely. The food is great and the rooms are great
Very good
A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. Enjoyed our stay and would go again. Only disappointment was the breakfast, the plate and food were barely warm.
Nice place
Not for me
Noisy, limited facilities and parking. Cannot think of a reason to stay here.
Very nice hotel in a beautiful location. Staff was friendly and efficient, the hotel is nicely decorated and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was a bit basic.
Midweek Break
Hotel is lovely just under staffed. The staff that were there were very friendly and helpful especially the breakfast waiter and night porter. Rooms and decor are lovely but IMO more staff are needed as room was quite dusty/ dirty and lacked attention to detail, coffee machine mouldy. Quite a bit of waiting for service aswell.
A hidden gem of a hotel with an amazing staff.
Amazing hotel with great food and service
Beautiful hotel, full of character as a very old building, the rooms and decor are to a very high standard and the service is grea too. We ate at the reataurant as it isn't really walking distance to other options but a short taxi would take you into Cheadle. The restaurant food was quite pricey, but worth every penny. More of a couples hotel but 100% recommend, and only 10 minutes from the airport. Excellent all round.
Excellent room, friendly staff
Lovely quirky hotel
Lovely quirky hotel. Clean, comfortable with excellent staff. When outside aware of aircraft noise overhead but inside was nice and quiet with no trouble sleeping. The only disappointment was the food. The sample menu on the website does not reflect the menu offered on the night which was very restricted. When the food arrive it was average at best. This was reflected in the solid poached eggs served the next day. Loved the hotel, would stay again but eat dinner somewhere else
Lovely hotel, very clean, staff very helpful and friendly. Situated in a quiet woodland area. We ate in the restaurant, which was reasonably priced, but found the duck was overcooked & a little on the tough side. My partner had beef, which she said was cooked perfectly.
Welcomed very well, room was immaculate, stay was delightful.
Very good
Beautiful building and grounds
Nice big room, great staff, a bar that served Manhattans, beautiful ceilings
Fantastic service, relaxing setting
Just one night straight from the airport but it was a lovely experience. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, the setting was beautiful and the room was comfortable. Only a ten minute drive away from the airport and exactly what we needed to relax at the start of our holiday. Would be happy to stay for longer
Disappointing hotel
I got a room with tall windows so it basically felt like a basement and I couldn’t enjoy any of the park outside. There were lots of flies in my room so I spent a good amount of time getting rid of them. Toilet and shower uncomfortable.
A boutique, small hotel in an historic property, now nicely modernized. Great restaurant. Close to the airport (but our room was quiet).
A unique and lovely Hotel
An unusual and elegant property. Bed very comfortable. Restaurant superb. Staff magnificent
Very unique small hotel. Near the airport and very English.
I recommend next carpet around the beds and a new chef. The dinning service is not up to standard.
It was amazing i am gutted only stayed one night. Would book again just for me for time alone chilling. However be mundful of the step walking outside the front door i went over on my ankle and have sprained my foot and cannot walk now.
Booked the playground room what a lovely stay it was deffo recommend
Unique rooms (the handlebars over the bed were a surprise), lovely staff (shout out to Liam, yer man behind the bar) and very convenient for the airport.
Parking facilities were very poor only as few spaces outside the hotel so you have to park in the main public parks pay and display . The room was extremely small. It had no door onto the en-suite only a frosted glass door with gaps top and bottom onto the toilet area. Fine if you’re on your own but If one of you gets up in the night the light illuminates the whole bedroom and there is literally no soundproofing at all ! The fridge was also leaking onto the carpet so we continually forgot and got wet feet. Aside of this the staff were pleasant and professional and the hotel in general was nice but unfortunately with the parking and bathroom issues we don’t feel we would stay here again.
Excellentcomfortable hotel in beautiful surroundin
A wonderful up market yet friendly & calm stay. Superb food. Efficient in every way. Decor..exceptional. Attention has been paid to all details for the guests Highly recommend.
Lovely overnight stay
Very friendly welcome by the receptionist. Check in was Quick and efficient and she even recognised it was my birthday! Ground floor bedroom was fine, very clean and modern but we did find it rather basic. The blinds did not cover the windows properly and the bright lights outside meant that the room was light throughout the night. No information literature, not much room to store bags and all a bit minimal but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. I was thrilled to have a Happy Birthday plate in the room with 4 delicious cakes. A nice touch. The barman was great. I had a Porn Star Martini which was excellent and there was a good choice of other drinks. We had our evening meal in the hotel restaurant and couldn't fault it. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and it was good that they were knowledgeable about the menu - apparently they have a tasting session which meant they could relate to the dishes. Excellent bottle of red wine too! Breakfast the following morning was very good, and it was nice to know it was cooked to order. However, service was a little slow and "chaotic" although there were not many guests. The location was great but unfortunately it was raining heavily so we were unable to make use of the terraces and park. The hotel was directly under the fly path from Manchester Airport, but we didn't hear the planes inside at all. Slept well! Would definitely recommend and return.
fantastic location, great room, lovely food. Thanks
Lovely relaxing stay
Lovely hotel in a beautiful spot in the park . The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay here again .
Excellent
Staff very helpful
Very comfortable
Room layout well though through and very comfortable, bar abd restaurant generally very good but a better range of real ale and less overpriced wine would be of benefit.
Wonderful place to stay beautiful. Property and wonderful food Stunning grounds/ park
Great rooms, quality feel about the place
we had an excellent stay at the hotel . the staff were helpful and friendly . Lovely room . brilliant home cooked breakfasts every morning
Hotel is excellent and room was amazing . Two issues to be aware of are the lack of soundproofing if you have an interconnecting door in your room and no lift in the property .If you are using the hotel with a large suitcase ask for a downstairs room! I would still however recommend this hotel as the setting is great and the standard of the rooms is up there with the best.
Not bad but could be better for the money.
I moved the date from the Monday to a Thursday as i was delayed abroad and the price went up by £95, which seems excessive. The room was nice, but only 1 tea bag and 2 small milks, 4 coffee. No instructions on how to use the coffee maker, it leaked all over the worktop.
Our suite was fantastic, lounge area on middle section to work, hang out or enjoy social time
Great - ish
I booked Oddfellows On The Park as a bit of an upgrade for an overnight stay in Manchester - and the positives are the staff are pretty amazing front of house and the whole experience is good in layout and room set up. My stay was somewhat spoiled by the person previous clothes (a jumper and a few other bits) still being in situ in the wardrobe -and some litter around the bin area (nothing major but you don’t expect it) but to stress the rooms are amazing and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant in the evening was fantastic and the waiter was extremely attentive and ensured everything was great. The morning came and during my “Full English” I discovered some hair in my bacon - which kind of ruined it all for me. The waiter and staff immediately returned the plate and I was furnished with another breakfast - and were super professional in dealing with it. Would I stay again - yes. I just think I was hoping for the amazing 5 Star experience and this time it went a little of track.
Amazing hotel
Been back here a few times staff amazing hotel amazing.our favorite getaway
Perfect wedding night hotel
Lovely hotel, although we arrived after 12 midnight, we had good service. Beautiful room with a free standing bath. Bed was so comfortable. Room service was enjoyable.
Special occasion
Attended a special occasion, staff, venue, rooms, service all excellent, unfortunately hotel was cold throughout the day and breakfast was cold
Faultless Stay
Absolutely faultless. From the super friendly and efficient check in, to the beautiful room, tasty lunch and delicious breakfast, wonderful staff and fabulous restaurant recommendations. We will look forward to returning. Thank you Team Oddfellows!
Clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast.
Delightful hotel marred by poor staff training.
The hotel is well appointed and is set in a beautiful park. Staff are pleasant and helpful, but rather amateurish. Breakfast (in room by choice) was good, though again presentation was ill thought out. Room looks lovely, but unable to get light to shine on book in bed, ill-assorted toiletries, and no hand soap. Have to climb on sideboard to open window. Room cleaning poor. Coffee maker not cleaned out from previous use.
You'll love staying here
A little but of perfection in every way. Very Covid compliant, comfortable and friendly.

Lovely hotel
Oddfellows was overall a lovely place to stay. Great rooms and a great location. I booked 2 rooms for a family trip and it would have been better if the hotel had realised this. I got 2 ‘look forward to seeing you’ phone calls and reception were none the wiser when we arrived. One room we booked had an issue with the shower and we were disappointed not to be offered any compensation. We were told there were no other rooms to move to but not offered a free drink in the bar, or something to compensate for the issue. Overall a great hotel, just a little let down by the service.
