Staff was amazing,

This hotel is beautiful and we were greated by the nicest woman. We absolutely made the right choice to stay here.

Gorgeous view. Excellent staff amazing room and veranda.

Charge for airport shuttle service is a negative. The tv was turned on for use then later went dead. We were given no information regarding use of a very complex remote. We’ve already gone a good share of the evening without tv. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are very good.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. The hotel was immaculate and every comfortable. The bus service was really easy and cheap. When we’re back in Nassau, we will stay there again.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. This is a very quaint hotel off the beaten path. Only ten rooms which lends itself to a quiet and serene environment.

This hotel is amazing. The views of the ocean were stunning. The pool was cool and refreshing. Excellent service. The room was impressive and the bed was comfortable.

Great place !

Being up the hillside from the beach and the road made this a quiet place to stay, and a very impressive hotel to arrive at. It's in a lovely setting with a long tree-lined driveway running down the hill towards the sea, and the rooms that are sea-facing have balconies with fantastic views. The rooms are well-decorated, and very clean and tidy. There's a Mediterranean feel about their design. Because it's the Bahamas, the staff are friendly and relaxed and helpful. We had such a lovely time here that it will be the only place that we'd consider staying next time we're on this island.

Very quite nice property. Not much around unless you get a taxi.

It is very peaceful and quiet with exceptional staff. The food could be better, especially for the cost. If you don't rent a car, you'll need to take a taxi everywhere.

Lovely place

The hotel was quiet and peaceful and the staff friendly and accommodating. Great location with stunning views, however a rental car or taxi is necessary to move around the island as it isn’t in a busy tourist district.

Lovely very short stay. Desk clerk helped haul four very heavy bags up several flights of stairs. Staff agreed to hold food for me in their freezer. Very reasonable transportation at half the cost of cab we took to arrive and at 5 in the morning! Room nicely appointed but badly in need of new pillows.

The hotel is great. The construction activity on the adjacent property is noisy and dusty

This is a beautiful place to stay! It is peaceful and quiet. It is incredibly clean with helpful and friendly staff. They offer breakfast in a beautiful dining location overlooking the ocean in the distance. It is a quick walk to the beach. It is easily accessible to the downtown for $1.25 on the 10 or 12 bus. I would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. We used the bus to get around and found it very useful.

Great place

This property is exactly what I needed..I felt safe, secluded, I learned about the history of the mansion and I got the sunshine that I needed.

Very nice boutique hotel, with a nice pool and views. Close to airport. Gym is tiny. Coffee table has to be asked for. Staff is very friendly and hotel is locally owned.

The Ocean West is a WONDERFUL stay, BUT you basically need a car (or take a LOT of taxis). It's a beautiful modern take on an old mansion style, with AMAZING views of the Ocean (especially from pool patio and breakfast balcony). But it is relatively inconveniently located if you don't have a car. Myself and my partner were able to walk to a restaurant or two, but it was a little dicey. They only do breakfast at the hotel (although good and cheap). It's doable without a car, but I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you are OK with taking a taxi both ways every day, anywhere. They do provide a somewhat more affordable taxi service themselves, although it can be limited. The hotel is perfect if you're trying to get away from the resorts and hustle and bustle, but RENT a car, or just be OK with lots of taxis. Probably about the same cost in the end.

Beautiful property, amazing view ,friendly staff, the room was very clean and spacious……the only down side was the WiFi signal sucks

Beauty in the Bahamas

For a private, quiet, tranquil, beautiful Bahama stay near the airport, I highly recommend this gorgeous property! You feel as if you’re staying in your own castle. The staff are amazing and friendly.

I thought I was booking a quick airport hotel after our trip. What pleasant surprise! Beautiful grounds with a great pool and gorgeous ocean views. A quiet and relaxing oasis in the middle of hectic Nassau.

Overnight pleasant stay.

Pros: beautiful place, fantastic staff and atmosphere. The only cos, it’s not very walkable and food options are few (but there are some!) nearby. Also whilst I loved my room it should have been built in a way to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings— But that’s what you get when you take an old house and renovated into a hotel. Bottom line is I very definitely would stay here again

Quiet almost secluded spot overlooking the ocean. A huge beautiful home that is now a hotel, Ocean West combines comfort, elegance and superb service. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay here! Gorgeous views, nice pool, in walking distance to the beach and a few restaurants. Some people didn’t like the beach but we felt it was perfect to lay out on, it was quiet and non overrun by tourists which was great. We spent every day there! We loved the Sunset beach club which is right down the hill from the hotel, do yourself a favor and get the shrimp tacos!! Such a pretty place to watch the sunset. We had the best 5 days here and left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, we can’t wait to come back!!!

Boutique with a view

What a beautiful boutique! It sits way up on a hill and has some of the most beautiful views in Nassau. Shannon was a delight! He brought me complementary coffee and my breakfast which was very tasty. I can’t wait to come back here again. The ladies that the desk were so lovely as well. Shannon was my favorite, lol

Fantastic hotel very close to the airport. It was so clean and the staff were absolutely wonderful! We stayed last minute on a stopover to another island and they were so accommodating and kind.

Beautiful location, great view, close to a great restaurant.

Fabulous place, fabulous people. Not in the hub of things but perfect for a quiet getaway. We didn’t have a car but still managed to get out and about easily. Brilliant restaurants near by and hotel offers a car service if needed at a great rate. The only downside was the litter by the beach and in the residential areas……such a shame. Hotel property and surrounding area was spotless though. Also, bit of a steep climb to and from hotel so not easy for anyone physically challenged. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Book a room with balcony if available.

Small and intimate.

Ocean West Boutique was a great place to stay! From the staff, being super polite and helpful to a great location this place has it all. You’re looking for a big resort like Atlantis and or Baha mar. This place is not for you. I’m not sure how great this location is for children as there is not a lot of amentities besides the pool on this property however, If you are looking for a Hideaway, that is a beautiful place to stay that’s quiet and quaint, then this is a place for you. There is a big hill that you need to walk up to get to and from the beach or any other location such as Sunset bar and a couple of other food places/downtown however, if you are not afraid to walk in sightsee you can definitely make this work without using any car or bus transportation. This place was a gem among other hotels and resorts on the island, and we were very blessed and happy to stay. There would definitely stay there again!!!!

Lovely little hotel with the best staff ever!

The first thing that strick me was the Security, as we had to wait for the gate to be opened to access the property. The receptionist, Deshan, was on hand to and escort us to our room. She was very polite and pleasant. The property is clean and well maintained. My my son loved room was bit small, however, there are bigger rooms, though no availability during my stay. The checkout experience was good; wonderful customer service by the receptionist, Shannon, and another staff on hand. I will certainly recommend Ocean West Boutique Hotel and stay again. Lunch at Sunset Bar and Grill, part of Sapodilla, at the entrance of the property, was amazing! That native pasodilla tantalised all of my taste buds! The cucumber mule was refreshing. My son loved the mango chili wings, garlic bread and lemonade. I rate my stay and experience an 8.8/10. Thank You OWBH. Blessings Aplenty, Valda Henry

Nice and very clean place

It was a perfect fit for the 5 days we spent at this location. The service was amazing and the transportation through the boutique was amazing. I would recommend this location

Tidy and clean

Absolutely wonderful, a beautiful property. Safe and secure. Only small issue was the Bar service when ordering a drink the ice machine was not working and there wasn't any lime available for the drink (bar tender said that they hadn't bought any) but I still got charged the full amount of $12.00 plus (gratuity which is always added in to the charges) for poor service, a bit disappointing.

Everything was wonderful. Perfect service. Relaxing. Close the the party if you are interested in one, but far enough away to feel exclusive and quiet.

We were pleasantly surprised when our taxi drove up to the property, so much so that we thought we were at the wrong property. The only downside is there isn't a restaurant on site. A short walk down the driveway and next door were two excellent restaurants, one casual and the other a little more fancy. Excellent food.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and any request we had they “owned” and made sure we got taken care of. Nice room and bedding.

Charming Quaint, Quiet hotel near the airport

Ocean West hotel exceeded our expectations. From airport pick up (for a small charge), to checking in, our room (Emerald) the property and the staff were all Fantastic. Peaceful and quiet. Nice breakfast not included and amazing views. And close to the airport (NAS). We’d give a 10/10 very charming. Would definitely stay here again.

It was beautiful. Very unique. Lovely furnishings from a time past. The receptionist was warm and friendly. The shuttle driver was helpful and fun.

We were looking for a hotel close to the airport to stay one night before flying to another location in the Bahamas the next day. The staff, all friendly and very quick to help. The hotel itself has a very traditional Caribbean feel, very very clean and quiet. We had no idea there were other guests until the next morning. Will definitely book again.

This is a jewel of a property! It only has 10 guest rooms, so it’s almost like you’re staying in a private home. A nice change from the chaos of the luxury resorts. The transportation service to local places ( including the Baha Mar) is excellent and charged at a fair price. The staff , including Brenda, was very friendly and helpful. This is my second visit to the Hotel and am so pleased with it that I will come again and again!

We were so thrilled with our hotel and room (Topaz). Super high ceilings, light and bright space. Plenty of character! Loved the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating! Attentive drivers on standby to take us to nearby restaurant, and pick us up when we had eaten. We opted for breakfast in our room - actually al fresco. It's too bad we only stayed one night. We will for sure be back! High Recommend!

If you are looking for a small - 10 room - hotel close to the airport this is it. Built in the Italian style of architecture and originally a single residence it is now a lovely boutique hotel. Don't pass this up

Beautiful architecture but lots of stairs

This is an incredibly beautiful hotel, pool, and piece of property on a hill overlooking the ocean and the lake on the other side. Excellent for the price.

A good restaurant down the street but limited options within walking distance

It was so refreshing staying here! We stayed in the Diamond room on the top floor and it was beautiful. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The location was perfect. We walked to the beach, the caves, and to have drinks every day we were there. 10/10 would recommend especially if you prefer a quiet, slow paced vacation.

This place was truly a breath of fresh air. The first hotel I stayed at upon my week long stay in Nassau was a huge disappointment. Pictures don't always do a property justice. However when I got to this hotel, my expectations were exceeded to the highest degree. Such an amazing hotel with only 10 rooms I think it was. And they don't have room numbers, they are named. I had the diamond room and it was a fabulous room. Highly recommend this place.

We completely enjoyed our stay at Ocean West! The staff go above and beyond and their shuttle service is a great feature! They have an honor bar and a great breakfast! The property itself is immaculate. Very clean and spacious rooms! We will definitely stay here again.

This hotel has great staff, is very clean, and has a great pool and balcony views. It's a short (but not cheap at $30) drive to the nearest beach, which is also gorgeous, and there are a few good restaurants in walking distance.

Off the beaten path and very relaxing . Staff is superb . Recommend the Bahamian breakfast. And Sunset Beach club for dinner .

This is lovely and well kept. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast there was a plus. Close to airport and they transfer for a fee better than cabs. Loved the balcony. Best if you have a car. Walking…well, there’s an extremely long drive and up a hill for returning so …but the jitney ($2.50) is right at the bottom of that drive and will take you into town. Ate at Sunset (good food and drink, nice and breezy)at the bottom of the hill and checked out Sapadilla (very lovely) for future reference. There’s nothing else walkable for eating, but a good deal close by if you have a car (jitneys only run until about 5).

Excellent location, easy access

Honestly, when I saw the steep and narrow hill that we had to drive over to get to the property, I decided not to go over the hill; I was told by the Front Desk clerk, who was nice, that when coming over, I will have to blow my horn so that any vehicle that is coming over the hill opposite my vehicle may stop so that I can go over! (Then what if the other driver blows their horn too!!) However, I asked someone to drive me over the steep hill; the tiles are dated in the hotel, I didn't like how I had to literally walk through the lounge room (which the furniture was smelly as you passed), it had a pool table, not knowing what kind of crowd would be in the lounge room with my room being about 25 feet away was not something I could have dealt with. Finally, the room was very small, and the bed not adequate for 2 persons comfortably, we also needed a room that at least had a microwave. We did ask the clerk if there was another room with two beds maybe she said there was none; we didn't feel comfortable enough to stay, we asked if we can at least get one night of stay refunded and she said she checked with whomever and they said no! The steep, narrow hill was a bit too much and this should have been noted in the description of the property with addition to smelly furniture in the game room that I had to walk through to get to my room, it was totally a no for me, I did not stay at the property but that was my assessment for the half hour I was there. Beautiful hotel

My husband and I missed our flight out of the Bahamas and found this special small hotel last minute. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the views are amazing. The room is clean and the bed and linens are great. This was a great find and we would choose it again!
