My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Dining options are good, not 5 star but still lots of variety. Overall its a great experience in a beautiful location. We have been to some nice resorts in Hawaii, Jamaica, Mexico, etc and this experience ranks right up there. If you want a new experience, try Vietnam on for size.

We had an amazing time staying at Ocean Bay. The room beautifully opened to the beach and we had an awesome view of the sunset every evening. The staff were very kind and courteous, and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend!

A little bit of paradise

A lovely place to stay and relax in nature’s surroundings. The resort is kept clean and green by a dedicated team.

The property was impeccable, beautiful beach, the breakfast exceeded all our expectations. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

Only stayed one night but amazing

Rustic, full of flowers and plants. I was first very concerned about mosquitos since the rustic design leaving the room not sealed from the environment. Surprisingly I did not get a single bite during the stay. Maybe it was not the mosquito season. I wish they have a bed turn down service at the evening. However, I did get food poisoning at its restaurant. The rice they served that time should never has passed the kitchen, which hopefully will be done better in the future.

Clean, lovely beach except they do not clear plastic

The location is a bit tempted, so, a scooter is needed for the city tour or any fine dining.

Amazing property. It close to nature and very quite. Best thing about the property was the staff, very helpful, polite and go above and beyond to provide best service.

The hotel was amazing, staff were helpful and extremely nice. Our room was always clean, stuffed with new bottles of water and fresh towels. They even had a beach bag and slippers, a mosquito spray and an umbrella. The room itself was so authentic, a real bungalow. It was worth it to pay extra for breakfast; it was so variable and delicious. We would definitely recommend this place to visit. We are even thinking of coming back for a longer time.

Lovely little oasis on the beach! Very tropical surroundings and the beach front villa gave a real homely feel. Sadly a wet day so couldn’t appreciate the beautiful pool and what looks like private beach but a great stay! Thanks team!

Great location and staff was very accommodating.

I think the pictures oversell it. We booked a "premium king" bungalow but upgraded to an ocean view villa when we realized how little privacy the bungalows have. They are right next to each other, stacked one on top of the other, with the unfortunate feature of being able to hear other people's conversation. That said, it is "good value" as other reviews have pointed out---so just know what to expect. Food quality was neither great nor bad. Staff were nice.

Needs to Improve Service & Quality for Prices

This resort has top-notch rooms and is situated on such a lovely beach. It is advertised as a premier resort and charges prices that match just that in their spas, restaurants, and other amenities on the property (i.e. paddle board rentals, laundry, etc.) The experience we had with nearly every single one of these things was atrocious. There is horrendous service at this resort in all of the bars and restaurants. The kicker is that the staff are incredibly friendly and try to be accommodating, but the venues are ridiculously understaffed, so the waitstaff and bartenders always seem so incredibly frazzled. It is truly absurd for a resort that tries to come off as high end. Our group of travelers were coming from the USA and Australia, so we were prepared to be paying the rates average of our countries, especially given that we were going to an island and seeking a luxurious resort. With that being said, the thing that was most frustrating was the prices they charged for such low quality goods and services. If you choose to stay at this resort, I would just highly recommend going elsewhere for all drinks and meals.The prices are far higher than other local places on the island, thus the quality should reflect what they are charging, and also the service needs to improve by hiring more staff. Our room was lovely and the resort itself is beautiful, so we were bummed to have had such a horrible experience because of the amenities.

Excellent experience

It was a fantastic experience. Outstanding property, location and their team is extremely committed, friendly and eager to serve with a smile. Special mention to Ms.Bao and Mr. Ky who went the extra mile to make our trip very memorable. Ms.Bao ensured that we were comfortable and happy with our ocean view room and Mr.Ky helped to plan an outing to Hong Thom Island all the while helping to communicate with our local driver. Mr.Trinh at the Ocean Bar & Grill restaurant is friendly and gives you good suggestions to enjoy the amenities and dining options on the property (including a fire show). This restaurant has stunning views of the ocean and food is great. They could consider to increase the menu options since by the end of our 4 day stay we had tried everything there and they were delicious. Breakfast options at the charming Treehouse Restaurant are good and enjoyable. We met the little Mr.Nam, who is so enthusiastic and energetic while attending to customers on his summer holiday (who will be a future hotelier tycoon some day). It was a delight to watch him at work. Cleanliness could be a bit better but we recognise that it’s not easy to maintain a resort right on the beach with the exposure to sun, sand and rain. Overall, a very good stay. Great property, great people and together they make a compelling case. We will love to come here again.

The complimentary breakfast was amazing and big! $10 motor bike rental for a full day offered onsite. Lunches and dinners wasn’t expensive at all. We got a flat tire on the motor bike one day. Called the resort and the sent someone to help us and called us a taxi which they covered. Also waved the daily rental fee for that day. Would definitely recommend Ocean Bay and already talking about when we would like to return!

Beautiful resort. The staff were all friendly polite and professional. Customer service was excellent. I would stay again and highly recommend. I will note it is a bit off the beaten path. So rent a motor bike or get a taxi which they will set up for you. If you want to go somewhere.

The new area is great! The older area is a bit dated but overall the area is amazing. Breakfast was good but not amazing. The restaurant in the pier was awesome. It’s worth a stay here!

We had a wonderful time at this property! From check-in to check-out, everything went perfectly well and the service was on point! Every employee is here to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Their spa is also a must try as we had a very relaxing time there. Thank you!

Great location by the beach. few swimming pools and clean beach

The service at the lobby was over the top. The rooms very very special and clean and comfortable. The place itself is well kept. A lot of gardening work and very clean, and so it the beach area. The pool is fantastic. There are Yoga classes in the morning. Great hotel. There is a good Pizza place and restaurants on the road.

The best thing I liked about this property was the staff, especially the manager Trung. Trung and staff provided excellent customer service, they all went out of their way to accommodate all of our needs. Everyone working at the resort was very friendly and treated like Kings & Queens. I have stayed at many 5 Star resorts all the world and this one is now on the top of my list mainly due to Trung and his staff. If you want to be treated especially well I highly recommend staying at the Ocean Bay in Phu-Quoc. Sincerely Ray S.

was a great location and great amenities

Beautiful setting. Perfect for a relaxing beach holiday. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow which was spacious and nicely furnished with good sized terrace and space in garden for sun beds if you prefer to laze the day away under the palm trees instead of beach or poolside. Stunning sunset views. Staff were all very friendly and attentive to requests. The only negatives for us were that for lunch/dinner vegetarian food options in the restaurant were bland so we ate out in local places which were an easy short walk from the resort. Breakfast options were good mix of local and western cuisine but can get chaotic at peak times (you need to queue at separate bar for coffees). Would recommend and would stay again.

Beautiful setting for the hotel, right on the beach. Our room had a magnificent sea view, the perfect spot for catching a sunset. The only thing I would point out is that the "bungalow" is actually either an upstairs or downstairs apartment, and the steps to the upstairs are very steep and potentially slippy in the rain. If you are at all unsteady on your feet request a ground floor "bungalow". The staff were very friendly and helpful. On my first day at breakfast I asked if they had gluten free bread for toast. They didn't, but they baked some for the rest of our stay. There is a free shuttle to the airport which runs every 2 hours. If you fancy eating out of the hotel, there is a family restaurant opposite the entrance, or you have to catch a taxi into town. Taxis are relatively cheap and very easy to book on the Grab app (like uber).

Beautifully designed resort, infinity pool looking out to the beach, clean and beautiful room, great staff, good food. They offer pickup from and dropoff at airport and will coordinate with your arrival (even if that changes, e.g. due to delayed flights)

Beds were way too hard. Need new mattresses.

I am super impressed with all crew members here at the Ocean Bay from the point of pick up all the way to the check out process. It's very evident the staffs are very knowledgeable and that they are very, very attentive to guests' needs. All my minor issues were all handled with the utmost professionalism. The pool, the beaches and the green environment set the tone for a very mature, quiet visits. I even took advantage of the very on-site scooter rental and ventured out for a couple hour. The restaurant offers excellent seafood options and breakfasts carry a variety of some Vietnamese authentic dishes and seasonal fresh fruits. I'd definitely consider OB for my next time around travel plan, and strongly recommend so to others.

Amazing staff!

We had such a great time we rebooked for Thanksgiving!!! The staff was awesome and service was 5 star!! Extremely helpful with planning outings and helping with airline reservations. Recommend 10000 percent!!

Terrible food. 3 star property

3 star property, a country mile away from the marketed 5 star. Lovely setting, polite staff, great massages. Terrible…. And I mean really terrible food. We ended up going out for food as the hotel was that bad. We decided to eat lunch by the pool on our last day and got food poisoning. The hotel didn’t even apologise.

Great location and a staff that tries hard to get it right

Beautiful resort and wonderful staff. Didn’t like the bathroom situation being open to the elements hot and steamy no air, dark and bugs!

We had an amazing stay at the resort. We spent 5 nights and each night was spectacular. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are amazing. Trung, the Director of Operations, was a true professional and helped to make the stay exceptional.

There’s a lot of amazing things about this resort. The staff are very friendly and attentive, great attention to detail. The airport transfer was a bit of a problem so be sure you confirm and reconfirm those details before arriving. The checkin process took a little bit of time. Go check out the property and the waiting shouldn’t be an issue. The ultimate relaxation spa package was wonderfully relaxing. The views are incredible. Beautiful view photos to take home! This place feels like paradise.

Willkommen in der Wohlfühloase

Rundum schöne Anlage mit vorzüglichem Restaurant, guten Spa-Angeboten und an der Bar die HappyHour für die die es mögen :) Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig mit abwechslungsreichen, täglich wechselnden asiatischen Gerichten und continentalen Speisen , für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Das Serviceteam war immer freundlich, zuvorkommend und fleißig wie die Bienchen…

Väldigt nöjda!

Vi hade fem bra nätter på Ocean Bay. För oss var det en lagom längd, då det är ett väldigt lugnt område och restaurangerna blev tomma runt 21. Hotellets service är toppenbra. Rummet var mysigt - toalett och dusch ”ute” var riktigt trevligt. Få eluttag och hälften fungerade inte. Priserna på mat och dryck markant högre än utanför hotellet. Tips! Gå till Bamboo som ligger på stranden intill. Perfekt ”egen” liten strand, god mat och trevlig ägarinna. Lite svårt att gå dit (via stig i skogen) men värt!

Super lækkert hotel

Lækkert lækkert hotel med den fineste detalje på badeværelset. Store værelser og en god seng. Meget venligt personale. Stort morgenbuffet med stort udvalg. Poolen og hele området omkring hotellet var så fint og virkelig gjort noget ud af tingene. Der manglede ingenting.

Helt fantastiskt, var här i 14 dagar

初めてのフーコック島で、ヴィラに２泊しました。ロケーションもお部屋も本当にステキです！言葉の壁はありますが、スタッフの方はどなたもとても感じよく対応してくれました。朝食のレストランもステキなデザインで、種類もあり、どれもおいしくて非常に満足でした！他の方も書いてますが、蚊の対策は必要です。でもこのホテルに限ったことではないと思うのでマイナス点ではありません。強いて言うなら、隣の部屋の声が聞こえるので、お隣の方次第ではマイナスかもしれません。個人的に枕が両方同じ柔らかさでチョイスがなかったので、合う枕があったらもっと快適でした。トータル的には本当にステキなホテルでとっても贅沢な時間が過ごせるので、また行きたいですし、とってもおすすめです。

너무 만족합니다. 다만, 노키즈존은 아니지만 아이들이 떠들기엔 너무 조용합니다. 뷔페도 맛있고 직원들도 친절하고 방도 너무 이쁩니다.
