Great option as I wanted to be close to the University. Tram and bus right outside. Quiet safe neighborhood. Hotel staff friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
We stayed here for 3 nights for a family of four. In the first night, we were given rooms on the first floor. I can’t sleep well with the noise from the street as it was loud. I bought it up to Sara, the front desk staff and she kindly offer to put us all to the higher floor. I appreciate her kind gesture and she made a difference in my stay as well and I respected her sincerity and professionalism. On the other hand, things that I think needs improvement is the lobby. The lobby does not give the vibes of cleanliness and up to date. I fact, I would think the room is much better in term of design and comfort. Overall, I still had a comfortable stay.
NA
Very well located, new, friendly staff.
24 hour front desk, friendly and professional staff.
It was a great stay. It's a bit farther from the city center, but there is a tram stop nearby. The tram goes to the city center and many sightseeing spots.
Very nice stay, staff very helpful, great accommodation
We had a great at this hotel. Everything looks new and clean. It’s not so close to the church but the metro station is just cross the street. Driving is about 10-15 minutes.
Very clean & good location to get around the city.
Great location, steps away from public transportation. Concierge pointed us in the direction of great dining options.
The front desk staff were so helpful with recommendations for places to eat not only in Seville but also in Granada...our next stop on our trip. Buffet breakfast was very good. They delivered a tea kettle to my room after I commented on not having one.
I was assigned to a room with a disability toilet!
I was totally shocked when i found out that hotel assigned me a room with a disability toilet! I double checked my booking and I reflected to front desk that we dont book for such room type and we dont need it... we asked for a regular room but hotel replied they were fully booked! This was totally disrespectful to me, and to those who actually could use the room for real.
Friendly and caring staff. Very clean rooms. In front of Metro, multiple bus stations, Tram station, airport bus station, scooters and bicycles.
Very good location Easy walking tourist around
We wanted it convenient to the train station and the historic area. Worked on both counts. Nothing is particularly wonderful about the hotel but it is just fine. A solid choice (clean comfortable etc) albeit somewhat non descript.
Hotel was very attractive and clean. Neighborhood was convenient to Tram which was best way to historic area
Property condition is excellent. Thats where it finishes.Facilities are non existant. Nothing in the room. No kettle or tea or coffee or cups. Restaurant closed. No roomservice. One night bar was open and asked for something to eat. Got a small piece of lasagne (and I mean small) with nothing else. No salad or vegetables. Im sure it was frozen and heated up. Had to send it back as not hot. Lift from the carpark up, has no button. Have to call reception and get them to send the lift down. This hotel is all show, but provides nothing. Looks to me like that have only a couple of staff. Would not stayy there again or recommend
Very nice
Located in San Bernardo, which is a very safe area to walk around at night. Street cars made it very easy to travel to all the major attractions.
Mediocre.
Just okay. Close to team which was Nice. Mediocre rating.
The hotel is great! Clean, friendly staff but it’s a little far to all the interesting places
Excellent hotel. Highly recommend.
We traveled in August and the pool was our favorite. Not overly crowded and enough lounge chairs/umbrellas. The breakfast was also great with a wide variety and also made-to-order options. Location was close to metro and restaurants.
Overall, it’s a good hotel. I marked it down as the extractor vent in the bathroom room fell off the wall twice, revealing an unsightly opening, and the safe in the room was faulty. Otherwise, can’t fault it. It’s the more ‘businessy’ area, which was good for us. Quite quiet, with great transport links. If you want the hustle and bustle of quintessential Seville, then Alfalfa or San Bartolomé areas are better for you. We were able to walk to these areas in 20 mins, whilst passing some great cafes. So worked out perfectly. Opposite the hotel is a tram station (€1.40 to get you to the centre in less than 10 mins), a metro station and a bus station (€5 to the airport in about 20-30 mins). So it’s well connected. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed them - which was also a big plus. If we go back to Seville, we would happily stay there again. ….oh and there is a McDonalds within 25 meters of the hotel, so if you find yourself in need of something more familiar, that’s covered too!
A little bit out of the main city but very close to good transport links. Easy to got to by gus from the airport. 20 minute walk into the main city. Staff where very frendly and help full. No tea/coffee facility in the room, there is a small self service pay bar by reception. Over all a good stay.
A very lovely stay well located for the centre of Seville straight across the road is the tram nice breakfast plenty of choice and the room are extremely clean staff are also very friendly and helpful would definitely stay here again
Great property!
Hotel is located in the universities area of Sevilla. Lots of local restaurants and shopping. You have the tram across the street that takes you to center of town in 2 short stops. Buy the tram card at a tabaco stand, will cost 8,50 euros, each time you use it’s 35 cents so it goes a long way, you can use 1 card for multiple people. Buses and metro also downstairs. Very accesible. Room very clean and no outside noise, our room was in the back facing an alley. You are provided with shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, body lotion. You get 2 welcome water bottles. Supermarket is close by. Food/drinks very reasonable in this area, you’ll pay more in the tourist area. Visited the Nervión shopping center, also 2 short stops on the tram or you can walk if it’s not too hot. We used the parking, under the hotel, one night for a rental we had, cost is 18 euros/day. Had breakfast across the street from the hotel 2 toasts with butter/jelly and 2 lattes for 5 euros. Hotel reception very helpful and provided a map with local things to do.
Very good, Thank you
We stayed for 6 nights and the hotel was just what we needed. Friendly informative staff, large clean room, lovely outdoor pool. My only issue was some of the riles were coming loose in the pool. It juat leta the rest of the hotel down. Someone could injure themselves on these. Even with the only iasue i would recommend this hitel to anyone. The tram to the city was just over the road and its in such a friendly area Wie will be back.
I took my son to the Sevilla soccer field!! We have a great experience!, the hotel was very close and definitely we are back!!
Amazing!
Great staff, great service, overall excellent!
Definitely recommend
Amazing! Great location - easy access to all of Seville. Steps to the tram into historic districts. Aurora @ front desk was wonderful and so helpful with all guests and any request.
.
Brief stay in Seville
The hotel is very nice. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was superb. The hotel has parking and even has ev chargers in the garage. Thr location is very close to all the attractions.
Great location.
Excelente hotel, muy buena localizacion
The pool was a great feature! The rooms were spacious and my husband and I liked the privacy features (my sons were sleeping on a pull out couch). The reception were very friendly and accommodating. We were able to walk to all of the important historical sites.
Excellent value. check in staff and cleaning staff were all super professional and friendly. walking distance to plaza de espana. excellent location. 10 stars!!!
Excellent hotel with wonderful staff in a great location! Quiet, safe, and easy to get around
Excellent services, very convenient location
Comfortable stay
Comfortable stay. Short walk to plaza d’espagna. Handy for bus, metro and train at San Bernardo
Good location and accessible to transportation. Room was a good size.
Good place, nice rooms
Was very happy with this hotel choice. Right across from the university. An easy walk to the center but in a residential area that is more serene. Helpful staff and comfortable bed. Would stay again
Super nice hotel! All the staff was super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, and its easy to walk to a bunch of resturaunts.
Great hotel
The Occidental hotel was great. With Seville’s heat, we were thankful to have a pool to cool down! The room size we had was spacious. This was an excellent hotel for Occidental/Barcelo.
The property itself should not be 4 star rated. It did not have individual shampoos and body wash. They did not supply towels, had to ask for it. WiFi was absolutely terrible. Definitely do not recommend this hotel if you want to have an upscale experience.
We had a lovely time here - the main attractions in Seville were within a 20 minute walk, and the local tram/train stations sit right outside the hotel too. The hotel itself was extremely clean and reasonably priced compared to the other hotels that we had considered. We would like to give a special shout-out to Sara at the front desk - she was extremely kind and helped plan out our trip while we were there. She also wished my partner a Happy Birthday as we were leaving in the morning to go sightseeing which was such a nice thing to do. On this, the hotel had also sent up cake to our room for my partner's birthday which was such a nice surprise! Would definitely recommend to stay here for those visiting Seville!
Only problem . Ants in a room . Staff is amazing, all of them . Especially cleaning crew .
Close to Espanol plaza, Alcazar and other touristy spots.
Lovely hotel, perfect location to the tram and trains.
Excellent stay! The property has its own parking garage which is really convenient. The rooms are very nice and so is the bathroom. The tram running through to the city centre is right outside the hotel. The metro and the bus stop is also right outside. The staff is very friendly and warm and super helpful! Definitely recommend!!
Great hotel with comfortable rooms and lovely brea
This hotel had a lovely room and bathroom. Beds very big and comfortable and breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Staff very friendly too. Hotel is 15 minutes walk to the centre but there’s regular teams, metro and buses which are cheap, frequent and easy to use if you don’t want to walk, good to have a pool too.
Room was very spacious and so was the bathroom. The bathroom was luxurious. The staff included us in the festivities that the city were celebrating by placing decorations on our bed.
Great location and friendly staff, small rooms but enough space overall and clean hotel throughout :D
Location
Nice quiet place near many public transportation options .
Sevilla stay
Excellent service, clean, friendly staff, great restaurant. I would stay here again!
The check-in was easy and the staff has been great. Also, the room was clean and spacious. The hotel is conveniently located to public transportation, which made it easy to visit Plaza de España y el Centro. The only minor thing, on the last day of our stay (Monday after the first weekend of La Feria) we went to get breakfast right after they opened at 7:30, and all the food that was supposed to be hot was cold. We asked the staff if they could warm up our plates, which they did. But they did not seem too concern about the food being cold, even after we told them. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
Wonderful staff very accommodating. Room was clean-eco friendly and comfortable bed!
Very comfortable stay in spacious room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Asked for a kettle and got immediately. Excellent transport links and sites within walking distance. Excellent breakfast. The only thing I would have liked is evening dining option after a long day site seeing. Would return and recommend.
Excellent location, clean hotel rooms and easy walk to tram line. Makes it really easy to visit the downtown area with major tourist attractions.
The hotel was just average. With so many hotels in the area you could do much better. Charger port was broken, shower head was broken, and shower door seal was coming off so water all over the floor. It was fine to sleep.
Good for families
Lovely hotel, additional amenities would be nice
Nice stay, the rooms are lovely and modern, clearly they’ve been recently renovated. Bed was comfy, unfortunately there was a lot of noise outside our room (not that we expected no noise, being in the centre of a city, but still it was noisier than we’d imagined). No tea or coffee in the room either, and nothing in the mini fridge if we’d wanted to. Daily cleaning, hotel staff were lovely and hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner all in the room. Unfortunately the pool wasn’t open, which we had not been made aware of before our visit.
Is near to central city great area i like everything
I found this hotel perfectly situated and felt completely safe as a solo traveller
No pool till may sadly
Very nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff
This was our second stay within 5 months. The hotel is a little distance away from main attractions / old town however that is our preference and the centre is only about a 15 min walk. The hotel itself is very clean, located in the University area. Staff are very friendly and helpful, made to feel very welcome. The rooms are very comfortable ( we have stayed in two different types) and have usual amentites ( free wifi etc) For those who like their tea/ coffee, this is not standard and is not usually in Spanish hotels but in the superior room, there is a hot water/ coffee machine. Quite easily accessible from airport using the airport bus as well. We have really enjoyed both of our stays and if we were to return again to Seville, this would be our first choice for hotels !
Great Hotel/Location
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Occidental during our 5 nights in Seville! The room was comfortable, tidy and quiet. The hotel is also very well located as it is right across the street from a major transport hub with airport bus and city tram connections. (Or a 20 minute or so walk into the old town). Staff were friendly and helpful and a good breakfast was on offer if required. Would recommend 👍
Fantastic hotel
An excellent hotel for its strategic location!
We are glad we've selected Occidental Hotel Viapol. The location is excellent and strategic, pretty much walking distance of all monuments that really matter for us who were visiting the region for the first time and had very short time to enjoy the tourism activity, The hotel is also greatly situated close to the metro and the tramway. The personnel are welcoming, professional on the reception, and at breakfast. The rooms are clean, well equipped and not noisy.
Everything was excellent. The only minor issues were a couple of things regarding the room. The key fobs were very sensitive and I had to change them numerous times. I was told by reception that this was due to them being near my mobile phone, however this is the first time I have encountered such a problem. Another minor issue was the shower curtain which couldn't stop a small amount of water leaking through to the floor. That said none of these minor issues had an effect on my stay. The room was great as was the whole hotel and the staff were excellent, very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet was also excellent and I would definitely stay again.
Great hotel
I strongly recommend staying in this hotel
I had a lovely stay here! The EA (airport bus) stop is across the street from the hotel, as well as the tram stop that takes you into the center of sevilla. you can also walk to the landmarks within 20/30 minutes which is a nice way to see the city. Room was clean and spacious, maid service daily. Only downside is that I didn’t find the staff super attentive or helpful (i asked to break a 20 for the tram (which needs smaller denominations) and the front desk member was unable to help me with something super simple. Also room had no free coffee/tea/kettle/water. Everything needs to be paid for and gotten from reception
A sort 15 minute walk from the historic centre, with a tram station leading to the Town Hall in front of the hotel. Rooms would benefit from having two chairs rather than one (since they are for two people!) and from having a kettle or a coffee machine.
Perfect location
Lovely spotless hotel close to Plaza De Espana
First time at Occidental Sevilla and our initial impression was that it is looking a bit outdated. However, easy check in, pleasant staff lovely room with the most comfortable bed. My only criticism is that there was no hair dryer available. Despite these tiny niggles, We will return.
Excellent location
Amazing hotel location close to everything, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Excellent location
Good location
Amazing hotel with incredible staff so close to all main attractions in Sevilla. Right in front of airport bus train station and tram. Staff were amazing they really made our stay so special especially with 3 kids! Highly recommend!
Great, clean room. Very nice space.
Very good location, comfortable and cleaned, good service.
The hotel is a standard tourist hotel, so everything that we desired was there. It is adjacent a train station/tram stop/bus station, but quiet as can be. The room was clean and the staff nice. It’s still an easily walkable commute to the main points of interest if you don’t want to take the tram. Definitely had no issues and would stay here again.
Within 1.5 km of the main tourist sites. Easy access to transit as well. Several restaurants in the area to choose from. Staff very helpful. Noon checkout time.
Nice clean hotel; start showing the age but not critical yet. About 1 mile from Plaza de Espana, and 1.5 miles from the Cathedral. Price of the hotel reflects 20 minutes walk to the City center :). Tram stop next to the hotel. It can significantly shorten you walk time. Definitely will stay here again in the future.
The pool is in desperate need of renovation, there was loose tiles all over the bottom of it which could pose a serious risk of injury if someone was to stand on one. Bed in the room was extremely creaky and needs replaced. Staff are very kind and considerate.
The Receptionist was vrey kind and very helpful how to use transportation . Her suggestion for Flamingo show also was excellent.
Very handy for San Bernado station and the tram to take you into the historic center of the city.
3 day break
Great location. Easy access with trams, metro, buses, five minutes from hotel. Nice hotel with friendly staff. Good size, clean rooms with walk in shower. Could of had access to a coffee/ tea facility in the room,( in my opinion. Hot or cold breakfast available, with seating inside or out. A good choice of food with tentative staff on hand. Evening meals available, if requested.
Felt Unsafe as Solo Traveler - They Entered Room!
Where do I begin. Hotel staff illegally entered my room multiple times even though I had the do not disturb sign displayed. How do I know this is because on Day 1 I specifically wedged the sign into the door so that it could not be removed from the outside, unless someone opened the door, and upon returning it was displaced. The next day I wedged the sign again and the same thing - it was displaced and I found someone's grimy fingerprints on the inside of my door. Before it could happen on the third day I told the staff very firmly to NOT enter my room again and then for safety had to set up cameras to make sure it didn't continue. As a solo traveler this behavior was absolutely appalling. Thankfully I locked up my stuff, but still I would NOT recommend. In addition - there were ants in the hallway that entered my room - so gross. They basically live in the hotel because there's always food and trash left for days in the stairwell. Bed cover was disgusting and had hair all over it and smelled like it hadn't been washed in weeks (like sweat). Extremely loud with students at university across the street screaming until 4am. Dirty walls. Dirty showerheads. Scuffed up rooms. No better than a roadside motel. Elevators worked half the time. Members of their maintenance staff would stare at me to the point of perversion. For me it was an all around GROSS experience.
Renovated room nice. Amenities quality poor (lotions, etc). Located far from all tourist attractions. Must like to walk or take can. Breakfast buffet was ok.Front desk male clerk was rushed and not engaging. Gave us incorrect directions to Hop on Hop off bus on a tiny map. There is a location closer to hotel. He said it was a few minutes walk. We are fit and with a brisk pace it took us at least 35 minutes.
Convenient, but a disappointing pool
A short tram ride from the old city and very close to the Metro as well as the airport bus. But the advertised swimming pool is only 90 cm deep, so more of a wading pool really.
This property was easily walkable to the tourist centre of Seville but also had easy connections. The rooms were lovely and spacious, clean and modern. Although not right in central Seville, there was plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and great facilities.
Location, location! Fantastic food, impressive service, spotless room! Can’t wait to visit again!
Nice hotel, clean and welcoming staff.
