Nice for the price. Very good service. I lost something of value in the room and they were very helpful locating it and assisting to send it on to our next hotel.
Great hotel with wonderful employees. We were allowed to check in before noon. Everyone was very gracious. Breakfast was excellent, the rooms comfortable and very clean.
.
Hotel was great, staff welcoming, it was clean but building was a little tired with marked walls etc. was also a shame that the room next to use decided it was party time and so was really loud the night before were were due home. Overall great and was easy to navigate with buses.
Very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful, can’t complain.
Clean, cute hotel
Nice stay for the price. Needs update.. shower is smaller than average. Staff was really nice
The staff was great! My only hesitation is the location. There seems to be only one restaurant in walking distance and it doesnt open until 7. The hotel makes delicious pizza but didnt want to eat that everyday. It is on a bus route but we were afraid of getting lost so chose ta is instead.
Guest services were always available and very helpful. Public transportation stops right in front of the hotel. Very convenient.
Enjoyed stay
Very small room, sparsely furnished, no decoration or art, no carpeting or rugs, drinking cups are plastic not glass., toothpaste tube cannot be opened without scissors, and the TV is impossible to operate without an instruction manual. The food for sale is limited to pizza and thenearest restaurants are more than a five minute walk away (I rely on the use of a cane) down a road, which in parts has no sidewalk. I suspect that I was given the small room because I’m traveling solo although I don’t recall booking the room that way or getting any solo rate. (I may be wrong) The food/bar attendant is hard to find as they are also heating the pizzas for delivery in a room on a lower floor. The hotel is far from a town, central Rome and anything of interest. The staff is wonderful, pleasant and very helpful.
Excellent Stay
The people here are so nice and accommodating! The room is well equipped and clean. No complaints at all.
The property was ok.
Nothing around
This hotel has nothing to offer. Very inconvenient location to everything. We needed to use the bus or taxi to get to the center. There is only one restaurant within walking distance. I would not stay there again.
Staff was great!!!
Gaianluca was an amazing host! The property was clean and kind.
Maria at the front desk was amazing.
So i loved staying here, staff was amazing and over all highly recommend it. However if its your first time as a tourist to the city you might want to stay closer to the attractions. Some of the trips werent too bad but during busy times it was quite a long trip.
4 days in Rome
Hotel quite modern. Very friendly and helpful staff, including housekeeping. Rooms & bathrooms spacious. Hotel very clean. Bedding and towels changed daily. Has aircon, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, TV. Bathroom a little dark but clean with large shower and small shower heads. Hotel in quiet area and has a very well kept pool. Buses and metro all within 15 min walk. Good wee restaurants in the local area.
Good
Close to airport but need bus to visit tourist sites. Chose this hotel specifically for proximity to airport
Perfectvfor our stay. Near my conference hitel. VERY helpful staff.
2nd time staying and loved it
You have to walk always or take a cab to get to most places of interest. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast just ok. The rooms were nice. European electrical plugs so bring an adapter for US devices.
Stayed here for 3 nights lovely property with fantastic staff. The pool area is gorgeous and well maintained very soothing after a long day in Rome. Originally booked a ground floor room but these are very dark. Requested another room and staff were happy to upgrade for a small fee. Only downside is none of the rooms have balconies but apar from that the room was clean with great facilities
Lovely property very clean nice quiet, modern wonderful wonderful staff Maria behind the counter Zahid he behind the bar terrific Great breakfast set up also
A wonderful, very clean and quiet hotel! The staff were amazing! We arrived at 11am and for a small fee we were able to get into our room early. Of course that was only because there was a room available. We would definitely stay here again!
It was amazing! We had the best stay, the staff were amazing and the pool was beautiful. The room was clean, and when we left when it was messy we came back to a tidy, clean room.
The staff was professional. Room was very nice.
Stayed for a convenient stop to be able to get into Rome. The metro is about a 15 mins walk. The heat however, put pay to this and we decided to stay at the hotel and make good use of the pool and sunbeds. Towels are provided and refreshed daily. We enjoyed the breakfast and it was easy to get to the restaurants around and felt safe to walk. Although we did venture further as the nights were lighter and got uber back easily. Would defiantly stop again. The only down side was that we couldn't get the air-conditioning low enough to be comfortable to sleep at night.
Great
Great stay. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was delicious and easy access to public transportation
The property is quiet and kept very nice. The pool area outside is serene and very well taken care of. Staff was very helpful and cordial (thanks for all your hospitality Zahid!!) I would stay at this property again.
A nice quiet hotel with decent amenities.
The staff at the property was amazing. Their service to me was wonderful being I was not familar with the area and they providing suggestions of what to do where and how to get there including amaxing dinner suggestions. The room was clean and very comfortable and not small. The breakfast buffet, had a little bit of everything and the staff thier was very attentive. All in all, I would stay again, even if its not right in the City, just a bus ride away and you are in the center of Vatican City! Oh, and never got a chance to go swimming, but pool and grounds were beautiful.
It was absolutely amazing.
Staff were very helpful. Beautiful yard and pool. Easy to grab a taxi to get into city centre.
Muy acogedor
Overall great place to stay!
Great
Hotel is 15 min walk from Cornelia metro station or you can use the bus and bus stop is opposite hotel. You can use swimming pool or take a rest behind the hotel. Our room was good size but my room windows like in the basement
Great!
GOOD ENOUGH
The staff was amazing!!! The bar staff was the best .. I would definitely stay there again
We really enjoyed our stay, once we knew how to get to the hotel. Transportation was easy and convenient. We didn’t realize how far it was by bus to get to monuments. Buses were only really busy in the mornings. Amazing breakfast!! So many options to choose from, fruit veggies, meats cheese, cereal, yogurt and more!!! Pool was a little cold when initially but after a hot day it was so refreshing. Zahid (believe that was his name) bartender was awesome, made yummy spritz’s. Bed were soo comfy, room was spacious and lots of storage. Bathroom was a good size, decent amount of amenities. Only downside of bathroom, the door opened inwards towards shower. Think it had w swelling, it kept getting caught on floor. Two months ago they updated their system to have keycards. And in the room you have to put key at in the slot to turn power on to room. But! Has been some issues, thermostat would not go below 22.8 degrees. When I tried to go lower it went higher, so room was a tad warm. And it kept beeping, like a lot. We told front desk, gave us another keycard to put into the slot to help. It did for a bit but beeping still happened, though not as much. Overall, great stay!
En mi opinión solo cambiaría las almohadas
Very nice place only on paper, when you get there it’s complete opposite. Cleanliness of room had some opportunities
Very clean and well taken care of,the staff was very friendly. It was a very family friendly hotel. We are coming back to Rome at the end of our vacation and planning on staying there upon our return.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you had any issue it was taken care of right away. Wish the electricity was updated for American travelers, but other then that it is an excellent place to stay. Habid the bartender is awesome.
No facial tissue or toiletries in the room. Toilet paper seemed to be rationed. Dining was significantly restricted. Staff were certainly friendly. And the place was definitely clean. I would have been happier spending more on a room in the downtown core. Cost of taxis into the city ate up any of the savings elsewhere.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Large rooms
Kan wel een update gebruiken. We hadden speciaal met zwembad geboekt maar dat was nog niet in gebruik! Stond niet aangegeven Openbaar vervoer een drama om te komen. Hele smalle stoep naast de rijbaan. Vooral in donker erg gevaarlijk. Ontbijt was wel echt prima!
Staff professional, friendly and helpful
Great Close to down town Rome. Parking accessible. Traquil rooms
Good hotel, close to metro and bus stops.
The staff was great but not so clean the rooms and don’t give amenities
The front desk persons are professionals and friendly, the barman was a great person to.
It was great all around!
The staff at Occidental Aurelia are fantastic! Marie Christina went above and beyond by helping me deal with an airline issue, arranged for taxi service to and from the airport, and was able to communicate with me( I don’t speak Italian) in English and Spanish with other members of our party. She was pleasant, kind and extremely helpful!
Highly recommended
Really great hotel and breakfast. Top rate service
Best Hotel in Rome
Our stay at Occidental Aurelia was more than perfect! The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was so extremely friendly. The daily breakfast was always hot and delicious. We had the best time and we will definitely be coming back. We unfortunately left something behind after check-out and the staff was extremely helpful in getting the item back to me. A special thank you to Luca for making our first trip to Rome so amazing! We are forever grateful! 11/10 would recommend this hotel.
Friendly Staff, Minimal Amenities
Location: If you're traveling to Rome to see the sights and want to be in the heart of it, this is not the hotel as it is a 15 minute walk to the closest metro; when you will be putting in many miles on foot exploring and sightseeing, this may not be ideal (for reference, I average 10 miles of walking a day in Rome). I stayed in this hotel because my son was attending soccer training and this was the closest hotel to those facilities. Staff: The staff is wonderful - front desk and bar, oh so friendly and helpful. Amenities/Hotel Itself: The bar is limited, so do not expect much variety in terms of spirits (Lagavulin, Chivas and Jack Daniels are your whisky selections). Note, the bar is not open on Sunday (or at least this past Sunday 3/17). The photos do make the hotel appear much nicer than it is; 4 star rating is generous (probably a 3 star category in the US) Rooms: I had a deluxe executive room, king bed. It was very spacious especially in comparison to the generally compact size of European hotels. The bathroom was also spacious. Given the size of the bathroom, however, I wish more space was dedicated to the shower itself as it is very narrow and small. I am not a large or tall woman, however, my elbow smacked the glass shelf almost daily. I brought home a bonus souvenir from Rome, that of a nice bruise! A review mentioning the smell of cleanser in the rooms, yes, it is strong and not pleasant. I noticed it in the lobby as well though slightly more tolerable.
This hotel was perfect, such a reasonable price for a 4* and a great location considering Rome's prices! The rooms were lovely, spacious and clean with all amenities provided. The service was impreccable, especially from Maria, May and Chiara on front of house, the manager Luca, and even the bar staff were super welcoming and lovely. Everyone was ready to help uou with your trip, provide great recommendations and it was an amazing experience! Taxi's (in Feb) were only £20 - £30 euro's to most central places and the metro isn't too far away.
Clean, great staff & nice room
speaks english and helpful, Zaheed the bartender is amazing
Staff were very courteous and very pleasant.
It was ok.
Lovely hotel really helpful staff
Best 3 nights of sleep ive had. Breakfast was great and there was a surprise waiting for me in my room on my birthdsy too that was an amazing touch!
The Occidental Aurelia location is close to the metro station of Cornelia ( walk 15 mins. Or 3 bus stops) Contemporary and clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. The lady named May at the front deck gave us amazing customer service. Yes, after we had arrived and the room had a few issues ( phone and television was not working, toilets were not flushing and water was running continually). But after the maintenance guy named Joseph's work everything went back to normal. Our stay was in the middle of January and the heat in the room was great and the price was reasonable. We had a very nice stay. Thank you.
The hotel was easy to access, the staff was all very helpful. The bar tender was so friendly and made easy conversation, very much enjoyed his company while having a drink.
Very clean and friendly staff
Door was in disrepair. Bathroom was fair, did not like shower. Maintenance was not
Great Staff
Very good
We booked the hotel for myself and my wife for 3 nights. We had a but heck up at the check in and not been given the correct room but management of the hotel put this right next days and offered us a better room with the expected amenities. Very good breakfast menu, close to transport city bus or airport shuttle bus. Helpful staff. I would stay again and would very much recommend the hotel.
Excellent place
If I could give 10 stars, I would. Amazing hosts, beautiful rooms, great location
There was no A/C dial that worked so it was warm. We just opened the window.
The staff were very helpful. They even helped track down a jacket I left on a taxi and get it returned to us.
The staff were very helpful and friendly but my room stank from day 1 till I left on the 4th day. I aske d for my room to be changed but they did not have an alternative to move me to. I also left my book in my room when i checked out. I went back to ask for it and was told the cleaner never checked a book in. There's a nice restaurant Arturo just around the corber from the hoel
For the price this place will serve the purpose for a trip to Rom. However don’t be fooled by the pictures. The pics do this place far more justice than what it is in reality. There was a smell to our room that wasn’t stinky, but rather some sort of cleaner which was somewhat annoying and the most peculiar thing was the shower which had no doors. So any bathing resulted in a totally wet bathroom. Also as was common in other hotels a fridge that didn’t work.
Staff was excellent
The hotel was nice. The staff was very friendly. There are no restaurants or shops near the hotel. You have to walk about 1/3 mile to get to a restaurant/retail area.
Other peoples hair all over our room. Dirty floors broken shower doors unable to keep the water inside the shower. Dirty and old faucets unpleasant odor in the room. Broken refrigerator and TV that wouldn’t turn off unless unplugged.
Great 3 star hotel, renewed hotel, would not recommend for tourist, more for someone who isn’t their first time in Rome
4 star hotel but no tissues in the room. I have stayed in better 3 stars hotel.
I liked that this facility had a slope for baggage along with a stairway at the entrance.
Thanks it was good stay
AC did not work all 3 nights and no effort to fix except a fan for one of the 2 rooms
Nice and quiet in hectic Rome!
Great service, very nice. It’s about a 20 min drive from the center of Rome so we had to use transit or Ubers.
The staff was friendly. Housekeeping did a really nice job cleaning the room each day. The manager Luca was so nice and especially helpful, providing detailed info of how to use public transportation to sites in the city. His drawing on a map was particularly useful for me!
Clean and great staff. Beautiful outdoor lounge area. Too far out of the central area if you have kids.
Excelente
tv broken twice staff misinforming and not fluent enough in English
The property was clean and the location was nice because it was in a quieter area. The staff were all very friendly and attentive to any needs...transportation arrangements, room issues etc.. We were dissapointed, however, when we checked in and they didn't have the type of room we had booked. The bartender, Zahid, was a true pleasure and a highlight of our trip. We enjoyed talking with him each evening when we returned from a busy day of sightseeing. If he didn't know a drink we wanted to order, he would do his best to make it for us! We will miss seeing his smile each night.
Feels quiet and secluded even though is in the middle of everything. Two bus routes (98 and 881) are door to door to St. Peter's Basilica, a walking distance to the subway, and half way there is a bus stop directly to the airport. A Villa stay experience :)
