Amazing hotel in a fantastic location.
Comfortable and close!
Always love the Oban Inn. Lovely place to stay, very welcoming and close to all attractions in NotL
It was nice.
View
Staff was great. Water in shower was a bit cold
Such a lovely place and outstanding staff. Highly recommended
Improvements would make a difference.
The hotel is well-located, making it easy to walk to Queen Street shopping and restaurants, or to stroll down by Lake Ontario. The staff was friendly, and the room was very clean. However, the room temperature was a big issue. It was too hot, and there was no way to adjust the temperature, which made it a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. Additionally, the bar closed early at 9:30 pm (this was on a Friday/Saturday), which was a bit of a letdown for those who wanted to relax later in the evening. Overall, a decent stay, but a few improvements could make a big difference.
The Oban Inn is lovely and quaint. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were pleasant. On a downside, our bathroom drain was plugged, and was never dealt with.
Love Oban!
We have stayed her a few times and are never dissatisfied! Great value and amazing service and staff
Beautiful room with a very comfortable king bed. Cosy Inn with 28 rooms and a good restaurant with a good selection of breakfast and dinner choices. Excellent attentive service in the dining room.
Beautiful old property. Food was incredible. We could only get breakfast becase it was January. Lots of great food and sharound. Spa was great.
Quiet and close to lake
Loved everything
Beautiful location near the lake and downtown. Hotel is well maintained, comfortable and very quaint. We loved our 3 night stay.
It was all good 😊
Always a pleasure to come to this fantastic property.
Absolutely love this property. See you next Christmas, if not sooner.
Overall a nice stay. Check in was easy and quick. The room was nice. It wasn’t the quietest room, a few noises in the night from the small fridge and the plumbing, but nothing to keep me up. We would come back here again.
The room, the property & the dining area were all very very nice.
Our room was comfortable and spacious, however we were not impressed with breakfast. It took over one hour to get served and when we got the order it was cold and a few dishes were incorrect. The servers were friendly and we felt sorry for them, as it was out of their hands.
We had a unique room with direct access outside. In better weather, the little porch would be a lovely spot to enjoy a coffee while overlooking the lake.
ROOMSS WERE LOVEL Y DISAPPOINTED THE DINNING ROOM WAS NOT OPEN MIISSED THE GREAT TASTY DINNERS VOLUME ON TV WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY
Central yet a quiet part of town. Walk to the old town.
Staff was cold in comparison to how they treated other guests. Not the best place for younger people.
stay here
lovely place. felt special. great service, food, and location.
Different than the norm
This was my first stay and I’ll be back! The room was spacious and clean. The restaurant was superb. The spa was heavenly!
Our 2nd visit, a little disappointed with the state of the room. Not quite the same as our first visit.
Love the area surrounding the hotel. Very peaceful.
A great little town
There was a safe in the room. They knew it was broke. We put our passports and jewelry in the safe, put the code in and locked it. They said we shouldn’t have used it. They had to try to find a key and if they couldn’t find a key. They have to find a locksmith, but they eventually did find the key and got our passports out, they said we shouldn’t have used it. Well, no one told us not to use it and there should be a sign there not to use it or remove the safe completely from the room room was also dusty and small for the price that we were charged to stay there I would not be going back again.
nice big room and bathroom but the mattress and pillows were not comfortable
Everything was great for our anniversary getaway. Highly recommend the Spa!
Short walk to the centre of Niagara on the Lake, The building and grounds are lovely and well kept. The 'library' at the end of the second floor is a beautiful room where you can read or scroll through your phone or computer, surrounded by built-in bookshelves, wainscotting and good books.
Listed as dog friendly bit should state that you must advise in advance. Need to phone them
Rooms were tiny and filled with useless heavy black furniture very depressing. Sink in bathroom drained very slowly. The bar was awful again dark cumbersome furniture with no warmth or enticement to spend time there. The lobby was set up like a shop for spa products complete with “spa music”. Very overpriced for what they provided. I would not recommend it.
Lovely inn!
Did not realize we were booked into Oban House, annex. Staff took us to room did nor show or tell us about lobby space, restaurant or grounds. Felt like second class citizens and not cheep!
Great location, grounds were excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive.
This Inn offers a comfortable base for exploring Niagara on the Lake but misses on small points. The entry is overly focused on a spa experience and misses the welcome to a boutique Inn. Our experience found staff efficient but not very welcoming. The room was comfortable but tired and the dining option was overshadowed with price gouging (a somewhat common theme in the area). Overall the Oban Inn was comfortable but not remarkable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oban Inn. The gardens were beautiful, the staff was friendly and the location was both scenic and convenient.
Always an excellent experience here.
This is the 4th time I’ve been to this property and it never disappoints. Staff is very friendly, clean and comfortable rooms. Quite. Recommend to anyone looking for a great place in Niagara on the lake.
The rooms are very small. Nowhere to sit and put on makeup and the lighting in the bathroom was very poor.
Great stay, but we were not told what time was the breakfast, so we ended up missing it.
Xxx
Fantastic Inn. Close to town and beautiful grounds and rooms
Beautiful surroundings
NOTL Getaway
Very enjoyable two-night stay. Took advantage of the couples massage offer, a very nice experience. Area provided safe and pleasant walks to a wide selection of shops and eateries. Views at parks and waterfront areas proved pleasant and relaxing. Oban Inn facility was clean, quiet and comfortable, staff was friendly, attentive, welcoming and professional. Highly recommend a visit to the Oban for a fun and relaxing break.
We were disappointed that there was no spa or a pool located on this property as advertised. This is an older property and outdated and decor, etc. Many of the pictures include the spa and pool that is no longer used. This can be deceiving for those looking for services like that.
great staff
Beautiful property and resort. The basic room is small and the tv and stereo are very dated (no USB or Bluetooth connections) but that isn’t a huge deal. The staff were very friendly. Despite seeing pictures on site that show a working hot tub, they have decommissioned it which was disappointing. The bigger issue is the air conditioning. It is very loud when it turns on and off every few minutes, and it doesn’t get low enough. Our bathtub didn’t drain but they were quick to send someone to look at it.
Great property
What a beautiful property!! We had a wonderful, quiet and peaceful stay- they flowers were magnificent as was the staff!
Highly recommended
The location is perfect for exploring Niagara on the Lake
Property was very convenient to downtown. It was clean and the grounds were immaculate. I would refer this property to anyone traveling to Niagara On The Lake.
Excellent service. Beautiful gardens
Great stay
This was our 1st time in Oban Inn. We were given room on 2nd floor overlooking street. Room was ok, but whatever or whoever was right above that room was extremely noisy!! Until late night and before 6 am it sounded like stomping and racing up and down, dropping stuff, maybe there is a gym, also shower was on a lot. It was hard to sleep. We won't be back.
Lovely so far- we have to experience the night and breakfast yet!! It’s our second anniversary and we are happy to be here for a NOTL stay.
Very thing was perfect. The staff was very helpful and coordinating. Ethan , hazel , donna and Angela were very helpful.
Great location in a beautiful town. Parking was easy, very walkable to the may shops and restaurants in town just two blocks away.
We had a nice stay at this inn. Staff was very friendly. Only downfall is that housekeeping missed washing some linens. We did not notice until we were leaving the next morning so we could not correct it. Otherwise our stay was great.
Our server , Alexa Was phenomenal ! A great place !! I’ll be Baaack ! Dr K
Great spot & just so handy to NOTL
Balcony finishes need major work. Dinibg room and dinner was excellent.
Good location and clean. Excellent service from front desk
Beautiful properties, lovely room
Charming, welcoming staff, great location
unbelievable to have to make breakfast reservations
Staff was great and friendly, property was very clean. Beautiful resort
It was nice cause it was old and historic. It’s also nestled in a beautiful little village. All of the staff was really nice. Other patrons, not so much. Very stuck up, snobby, unkind. I felt they were very rude to my SO and I. One farted in the elevator even and it was unusable for an hour.
Very beautiful property, kind staff, clean everything.
Coziness. Room quite small.
A lovely Inn in a very pretty area.
Loved everything about it. Nice cosy and clean room. Comfortable bed, really friendly staff at front desk. Very nice property!
As always staying at the Oban is perfection. Amazing stay, great staff and wonderful location.
Location and service are excellent. Staff is excellent
Weekend getaway
Check was fast and very friendly. We dined at the restaurant on site and our server Alexa and Jimmy were amazing. Food was super delicious and excellent price. Room was great. Soaking tub wonderful. Bed and pillows very comfortable. In room coffee maker. Got cream from restaurant in the morning. No mini fridge which would have been nice for beer and wine storage. Close to downtown and walk to lake
Best hotel in the Niagara region, in my opinion. We love it here and will be back soon.
Fantastic
Asked for a small acknowledgement of my husbands 50th birthday. Which was ignored. Checkin lady even referred to my husband as “him”. This lady should not be on checkin at all. Very unfriendly. But the other lady at the front desk - Donna - was nice. Our hair dryer didn’t work. They forgot our ice, brought it to us 4 hours later only b/c I called again. Safe was broken. Not worth $250/per night.
Oban Inn is a must!
Amazing hotel!! Super cozy, beautiful and very friendly staff. More boutique than most in NOTL.
The property is quaint and located on a quiet street. The breakfast was very good and the service was acceptable. The technology is a little dated with a cd player in the room. The hvac system was loud.
Excellent staff, Room felt old
The staff are all lovely and very helpful. The hotel room is pretty old and out dated. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and amenities in the room were basic.
Quiet location. Friendly staff. Dining experience was superb.
Beautiful well maintained Inn! Great location with a wonderful restaurant and great staff!
The experience was wonderful with the exception of checking in. The Host was not welcoming, but the experience was more than made up for by the service of the rest of the staff.
I think they need a more welcoming or more trained person at the reception. Upon stepping inside, the woman who "greeted" us was stern, to-the-point, no "welcome," and asked if about my wife (who was beside me and entered with me) : "Is this person with you?"
We enjoyed our stay. This beautiful Inn is in a great location and the rooms are so cozy, quiet and comfortable.
All as expected
.
Loving the room!
Disappointed
I appreciated being able to stay an extra day when the roads to the USA closed down however I did not enjoy being in an outside room with winter conditions. The floor was cold, the trip to get inside the hotel was unpleasant. I was not aware that the hotel closes down the bar so early. The hotel is in need of some care and updating. We have enjoyed staying there several other times but this was far from a luxury stay. I love the location and I am certain it would be lovely in the summer but my original booking was to stay IN the hotel.
I just discovered that O'Ban Inn is going to be 200 y/o in 2024. It is an elegant historical reminder of what it was like in the upper class in the 1800's. This is a bit of a slow part of their season, and a whirl-wind stay for us but it was still a pleasant stop over.
I thought the staff could have been more welcoming. For instance, they made it clear that because we booked on Expedia, we were not entitled to the complimentary breakfast. Expedia is second class? And then right after ask us if we want to book for the dinner hour. Of course we said, "No thank you"
This is a nice, cozy, European style hotel It is located directjy across from the lake and a large park. And it’s only a 2 block walk to wonderful shops and restaurants. We had a very nice stay.
Great place for an intimate stay where you can get a massage, spa treatment, drink at the nice bar during dining hrs, and meals at a very muted elegant cozy dining room. Main part of town with more restaurants and shops is only a couple blocks away, and the lake is only a block away.

Fantastic restaurant.
