A beautiful and wonderful hotel by all standards and I would choose Oak Plaza over and over again. The buffet breakfast is delicious, lots of varieties and welcoming staff.

Great hotel in good location

Nice location attached to a mall and few minutes drive to Accra airport. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Housekeeping staff were attentive and friendly. Wifi is suitable but sometimes limited. Breakfast is excellent with many choices. I would recommend a visit.

The staff were wonderful but the rooms seem a little tired ,some rooms have been upgraded and some have not

Had a great stay at Oak Place. Location was very convenient with bank, supermarket and food places right next door. The staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive. The hotel was clean and had great facilities and breakfast.

On arrival, our standard room was not a reflection of the photos used to advertise the property. It was so small, we could not open all our luggage. Additionally, the room was only prepared for one and it took two hours to obtain another cup! We were not immediately upgraded and when we were (the following morning), we were charged, despite there being a number of significant issues with the allocated room. Having paid to be upgraded, the following day, all rooms on that floor started undergoing major refurbishment with dust everywhere and an intolerable noise level, even at the weekends. The work started at 7.45 on a Sunday morning. After complaining, the amount charged for the upgrade was reimbursed (still waiting!). Its strengths are that it is well known to uber drivers and has a linked reggae-themed restaurant. The hotel is well located for the airport and travelling into downtown Accra. The pool/bar area is great and staff were generally helpful. The options for breakfast were good. However, as with most of these hotels their primary business are conferences and other events.

The staff is courteous and accommodating.

I was very disappointed with Oak plaza hotel.Back in 2021 I visited the bar area and said maybe i might visit another time i return to ghana thinking at the time it must be a nice hotel. Not sure if they changed management or poor upkeep but it was not a very good hotel at all. I visited the hotel on my honeymoon and the room was subpar. The bathroom was not clean and small.The tub to jump in was too high off ground.The A.C. was not working and we called staff 3x and they showed up 1x time and said they would return and never did. Totally disappointed and unhappy! Only positive was breakfast/lunch area where the waitress staff was nice and accommodatng. Other than that I dont think I would return so dont use this hotel.

The had good property. The only problem was the shower room. It was small and the bath water holds and leaks all over the floor.

The breakfast was very delicious. There is Ghanian options and continental breakfast option. Choose Ghanian dishes...delicious. I would recommend this hotel.

My Accra stay.

All my experiences over the years before Covid and immediately after Covid were excellent. I was given the appropriate room paid for. This time I was in a cage. I could not turn inside the shower. Hospitality was good and staff friendly with good communication skills

The service was outstanding

It was close to dining and shopping options. The door of the shower was not aligned properly so water escaped when I showered. Room 222.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here!! It was a nice ending to our beautiful honeymoon trip. The rooms, restaurants, food and staff were all wonderful. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool with our drinks while listening to great music. We will definitely be coming back!!

I was a lil sad because i didnt get to experience the place due to emergency had to cancle but im happy everything was resolved and will make it up and book again hotel to experince it.

ENJOYABLE

We enjoyed our stay for the most part, however found the room itself to be very small. This made it difficult to have space for our belonging. The hand held shower fixture had a kink/crack in the line causing it to not function properly. This was somewhat inconveinient. The location of the hotel is very convient and within walking distance of The Palace Mall. The complimentary breakfast was very, very nice. The service workers were very accomodating and the food choices were extensive, including local favorites as well as continental offerings. The daily fresh cut fruits and juices were especially delicious. We sent a few items to be laundered and that service could not have been better. Items cleaned/pressed and returned promptly. I found it odd that the pool was treated as a restaurant/nightclub (Jam Rock), more than as a pool, with the pool closing at 6:00 pm and serving only as ambiance for the restaurant/night club. Service at Jam Rock at times was very slow, the bar at times did not have necessary supplies needed for menu items offered. I tried leaving a "pool tip" at check out as suggested in the Hotel Information Book found in the room but employees at Reception seemed to unfamiliar with the term.

The Oak Plaza hotel is a lovely little hotel. First impressions were good. A little more attention to detail is needed but for a night away it was alright.

Good clean hotel. Service was excellent, staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

Rooms are smaller than what’s being shown on website. Bathtub too high and deep therefore having to stretch to get in. Only one small soap on the hand. Ordered room service and the waiter couldn’t explain the payment system and charging me double. Very poor standard

Great breakfast, clean, accessible and close to a mall with plenty of food options.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a location with great access to stores walking distance which is extremely helpful with the traffic in Accra. The Jamaican restaurant on premises is an added value and the live band on Fridays is a gem.

Shower designed for a person who is 1500mm High,..pool not working and wasnt told this before hand, Gym in shocking condition, was told this is amazing, breakfast is average, banging from morning till noon, difficult to do business with that.Fridge does not cool water...

Property had very few amenities. There were no activities to do in evening on property.

We have stayed here several other times and no issues. Were pleased. Those times we book on our own and had a great room. This time however the room was very small. I hardly had enough room to walk on the left side of the bed. And the head of the bed on the right side slanted down. slanted The shower never warmed up at all.

Neat Hotel facility with Easy access to Kotoka International Airport and Accra Mall. Good Facilities, Everything worked and Very Pleasant Staff from reception to Dining and Room Service. Tried many meals and were so tasty!

There is an ongoing renovation in the hotel but this was not communicated on the website nor during check-in. Hotel staff are incompetent. Two nights in a row, they knocked my room at 10pm for wrong room service order from another customer. At the restaurant, once they forgot my order and came to me in 40minutes to inquire order and then they realized that they didn’t place an order for me. Also, I ordered Oak platter which includes four finger foods including samosa but without informing me, they just gave me three types of finger foods. When I requested for the fourth dish, they didn’t even realize what was missing in the plate. Then, they looked into the menu together with me and checked with the kitchen and told me that they gave me more of others as they don’t have samosa. When I entered a room, a cockroach was lying on the floor so I requested for changing the room and staff at reception was laughing at me without apologizing. The cleaning team needs new training as well. After cleaning my room, the floor was always still dirty during my stay for 7nights. Once they even didn’t clean the shower cubic and I found my hairs still there. My organization held an event for 4 days and I had many issues with ther convention team as well. Flipcharts were not provided for 2 days even though it was promised in advance. They gave less food for coffee break than what we agreed. When we requested manager to come immediately to address the issue, no staff showed up for 3hours.

Broken toilet seat. Washroom doors don't work properly, TV channels do not work. Electricity kept going out and generator did not kick-in immediately. Clients in dark for several minutes. Manager was rude.

Not happy

There was no shuttle at the airport even though I confirmed a pick up and my flight. I had to call from my phone, which was very expensive.. I ended up calling three times and waiting for almost 40 minutes. I confirmed breakfast as inclusive in my booking but they charged me for breakfast.. when I checked out yesterday I forgot two fragrance sample s I had picked up from a local company. So I emailed them to request they hold them for me and their response is that nothing was found in the room according to the maid.

This was not my first time at this hotel. I keep coming back as its so comfortable, food is good, location is excellent and the staff are helpful. Had a few glitches this time but the service recovery was handled superbly. Ive stayed in a lot of 5* hotels in Ghana but this is by far one of the best hotels that isnt even rated a 5* Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you all.
