Brilliant place to stay in Tokyo. Short walking distance to metro station (with direct access trains to the airports and most of the hubs of within Tokyo). There's a big grocery shop and mall nearby as well. Rooms are very comfy and everything is sparkling clean. Fast (30Mbps) internet. Would return also next time.

Very nice hotel in city centre, minute walk from Oshiage MRT. Clean room with comfortable bed, TV and refrigerator. Staff very nice and helpful. Highly recommend and would stay again there.

Best place I've stayed at in Tokyo!

Comfy, clean, bright, great staff, GREAT location. Many of the rooms have views of the Tokyo Sky Tree for an extra big city feel! My room was extremely comfortable and surprisingly one of the biggest I've stayed in for the price I paid. I love the touches like the little pocket beside the bed with USB and plugs to put your phone or smartwatch dock. The amenities are incredible: in-building laundry, kitchen, downstairs lounge with eating table and couches, TV, tea and coffee, miso soup. The location is INCREDIBLE - just steps away is a discount 24 hour supermarket (Big A). You can also choose between all 3 konbini chains, and the Lawson is a Lawson 100 (konbini + 100 yen shop). I bought a screwdriver set there in the middle of the night to fix my laptop seriously having one nearby is amazing. Direct trains to Shibuya, Shinagawa, Narita Airport. Easy to access everywhere else. By the way the lounge is a great meeting space and I met some incredible people here.

Great Location!

This is a great hostel for anyone’s first time in Tokyo. The location is easy to find and close to many good places to eat. The bed is really comfortable and I like how there are laundry machines you can use. The only thing is that I wish that we were able to use the stairs whenever we wanted. Not just during an emergency because that elevator is slow and there’s only one.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The environment is really fantastic, both quiet when need be and conversational otherwise. The hostel is very near a big subway station and two 24 hour cheap convenience stores. Every area is clean and welcoming. Their kitchen is fully stocked. They even have a variety of Japanese tea and miso free to use.

Honestly, I normally never bother with leaving reviews but this place impressed me so much I felt like I had too! Well priced, great staff, great facilities, clean and comfortable rooms and in a great location! Can't go wrong!

Great for the price!

Stayed one night in the double room with my daughter. Nice view of Sky Tree from room and the bed was comfotable and the room quiet. The bathrooms and common area were clean. There was a self service lounge available downstairs with coffee maker and kitchen. Nothing fancy.

Great deal for the price

Great location to stay for touring the Tokyo area. It is a little far from some parts of city, but it's near to Senso-ji and the Skytree. The room was small, as expected, but served all of my needs. Comfortable bed, clean bathrooms, and strong WiFi. Oh, and the shared kitchen had all I could ask for. Made for a very comfy 6 night stay and I'd certainly stay there again.

My family used a room with 4 bunk beds. It's a hostel rather than a hotel, so the rooms are small and bathrooms are shared, but the place is in good condition and reasonably priced. Walking distance to Tokyo Skytree, the Senso-ji temple, and Asakusa.

Actually, I didn't stay coz my sons got sickness and cancelled this trip but I was charged. I stayed here for many times, the rules quite much more and inflexible. The location is ok and quite place. Strong point is easy to back to the airport. Next trip I will not stay here, uncomfortable services.

Location is great it is near 7-11 and Family mart also near the shopping mall of Skytree. Room is comfy and clean. I love very clean bathroom even it is the shared bathroom. 💖

Perfect stay, super comfy bed, 10/10

Tiny room (so you might find it snug if you’ve got a fair bit of luggage but it was fine with our big backpack), but the bed was SUPER comfy and to be honest you had everything you needed ! Honestly 100% would recommend staying here if you’re a fellow backpacker like me, it felt like the bed of dreams after all the ones I’d slept in in Thailand! Plus the price is amazing here for Japan.

Clean and Cozy

Very clean and comfortable place, with all the little amenities. Small rooms, with nice-sized beds. Of note, the automatic door locks are pretty noisy, and can be heard through earplugs, which is something to consider if you have three other bunkmates. About a seven-minute walk to Skytree and the Solamachi Mall/Aquarium. Maybe four minutes to the nearest Oshiage Station Exit. I would definitely recommend.

Great place

Everything is great, especially the common area on ground floor. It is definitely one of the best. I couldn't get a female dorm and was stuck with the guys. Found the room smelly went I entered, but that's probably from other guests...

A Clean Convenient Stay in Tokyo

Oak Hostel Sakura was the perfect place to stay in Tokyo. It was only a fre hundred meters from the Tokyo Skytree metro stop, and it was incredibly easy to get anywhere in the city. There is also a direct train to both Haneda and Narita airports from that same subway stop, so it's incredibly convenient. The hostel itself was very clean, and the staff was professional and helpful. The only downside that I would make you aware of, is that the hostel is changing their policies and no longer providing things like towels and slippers for free. Since we made our reservation so far in advance these policies didn't apply to us, but for future guests you may be asked to pay a few ($1-2) US dollars for clean towels and slippers.

I stayed here for a night and i have zero complaints. The location is great, everything was clean, and most importantly the friendly staff were great! I never got her name, but the sweet lady at the front desk was great help throughout my stay. I will definitely be booking with them every time im in Tokyo.

Reasons to recommend this Hostel.

First, location : near to the Skytree (10-15 min walk ), near to subway (5min), near to seven eleven (4min), also near to a supermarket (10 min), you can find cheap and tasty food after 9pm. Easy to move to turistic atractions. So great location. 2nd we stayed in a deluxe room, so is big enough for two lugagge, one desk, even a small balcony and free space to move without problem. 3th Common Areas, pretty big, clean and confortable. 4th Bathroom, in the same floor it is around 8 rooms, and one bathroom with 2 showers, 3 handwashs, 5 toilet. it wasn´t feel unconfortable, so ,even that the hotel has shared bathroom these are good. 5th Price, You have to consider that you are in Tokyo, maybe you will find a cheaper place, but the quality of this hostel is very good. 6th They don't give you towels but you can rent it per 100 yenes (0.9$) Plus: They give a kind of Cellphone to navigate around tokyo during you stay. 7th They speak english very well. They sell little and cheap souveniers between 200 to 1000. 100% recommended

Nice but far away from shibuya, omotesando.

Everything was fine. The room was clean, staffs were very friendly and it is very close to the subway. However, it is quite far from the metropolitan area like Shibuya so if you end up in a shopping spree and want to stop by to drop your bags, it will be whole another trip.

Nice location. Clean hotel. I stayed the top of the bunk bed. It was a little bit hard to go up to the bed.

i like the hostel but my room was very small. it was hard to open baggage. bath room was clean. i think if they have 24 reception it will be great.

Recommended

Overall I had an excellent stay. It is well located and about a four minute walk from the skytree station. The building seems quite new and it is kept very clean. The communal washrooms have all you need and are also very well maintained. Staff was helpful and made sure we were well accommodated. Overall, I highly recommend.

Cozy and clean hostel

It is 5mins walk from subway. It is cozy and clean hostel. Hopefully the staff can speak more English. Morning staff is not helpful and English poor. Aircond and Heater don’t have English menu, hard to understand.

This is an excellent hostel , very clean and well located close to the metro and the supper-markets and restaurants . Very tight room but served the purpose especially with bah robe and towers and in-house sandals and very clean and beautiful/modern common bathrooms/showers. very nice common area for eating and preparing your food. No much ambiance of socializing. The staff -Ladies at reception:one very friendly and the other very short of patience.

Great experience in staying at Oak hostel sakura

This hostel is really nice! Good location near to sky tower! Feel so happy that can be able to see sky tower in the morning and night when going out and back! It's close to Oshiage station and convienence store nearby! The hostel is clean and I really enjoy my stay at the single room! Will definitely visit again when I go to Tokyo!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and tidy at all times. It's close to the train which was very convenient. Would definitely stay there again.

We love Oak! No in-room bathrooms though!

This was our second stay at an Oak and we loved it! The downstairs lobby, like their other location we visited, is really warm and welcoming, with comfortable chairs, free soup, coffee, and tea, and cooking resources to make dinner (they even have rice cookers available!). Do note that no rooms here have in-room bathrooms. All toilets and showers are down the hall. This was fine for us, as the facilities were kept clean and orderly, but the lack of hooks in the showers made it difficult to managing clothing. Please install some hooks, Oak! The area is great, with a ton of wonderful places to eat and walking distance to multiple subway and JR lines (including the Narita SkyAccess like to Narita Airport).

Amazing people made us feel at home

We loved everything about our stay at Oaks. The staff were amazing and we were very sad to leave. We were worried booking hostel style accommodation for the first time but now we have would definitely stay at the Oaks again.

Friendly staff and clean, modern hostel.

Really nice hostel that was very clean. It is close to the train station and there are convenience stores nearby and places to eat. The staff were wonderfully friendly and really helpful. The common area is well kept and the wifi is good throughout the hostel. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again and recommend this hostel.

Great stay!

Oakhostel sakura is a really lovely, comfy new place. Half-half between a hostel and a hotel. Beds were very comfy and staff were all so lovely and helpful!

Hidden gem, definitely recommend staying here

I was not sure what to expect because it had no reviews when I booked it (brand new hotel, only opened last week). However, it was probably the cleanest and most pleasant place I have stayed on my travels. They have private rooms as well as shared dormitories, I stayed in a private room and the bed was comfortable. The staff are great, they are even doing a polaroid picture wall of the guests who want to be on it! Definitely deserves more than two stars, and actually looks much nicer in person than what the pictures show. The shared bathroom and shower facilities feel pretty private, considering that the shower is in a separate room where you can lock the door and have privacy. Everything was extremely clean and all the furniture and decorations were brand new. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash were really quality nice and are available in the showers. Don't be scared by the location. It's one minute walk away from the Oshiage metro station which takes you easily to anywhere you want to go in Tokyo. This station can also take you directly to Narita or Haneda airports. To get to the hostel, take exit B1 at Oshiage station, turn left outside the station exit, pass the 7-11 store, then take the first street left and walk straight. It'll be on your right hand side after about 50 meters, though it can be hard to spot since they have not put up a permanent sign at the entrance.

施設の費用対効果は悪くないと思う。 ただ、寝室のにおいなど、改善してもらいたい点は数点見受けられた。

成田ー羽田移動で利用しました。立地はなかなか良いです。 部屋は狭いながらも個室でありがたい。建物もきれいだし、シャワールームがあるが時間に余裕があればすぐ近くの銭湯も楽しそう。

房間內設置電視，雪櫃，風筒，提供了毛巾及拖鞋！ 公用空間整潔寬敞，職員友善！ 唯獨浴室欠缺設備掛放衣服！

Svårt att se hur det skall bli bättre.

Allt fungerade perfekt, personalen var trevlig och tillmötesgående. Rummet, toaletterna och duschutrymmet var oklanderligt rena och de gemensamma utrymmena rengjordes varje dag. Ett stort plus var tillgången till köket och möjligheten att själv ta med sig eller göra lite mat om man inte ville gå ut på restaurang. Läget var I ena ändan av Tokyo men tunnelbanestationen låg bara några hundra meter bort och det gjorde det lätt att komma vart man ville I Tokyo med hjälp av de subventionerade tunnelbanebiljetterna som finns tillgängliga för turister. Området runt var lugnt, som de flesta områden I Tokyo, och det fanns aldrig någon känsla av otrygghet. Jag kan lugnt saga att det här var ett av de bästa ställen jag varit på med tanke på att priset jag bokade för på hotels.com var så förmånligt.

スタッフの対応は、とても感じ良かったです。施設も新しくキレイでした。シングルに泊まりましたが、トイレと洗面所は共有のため不便でした。でも宿泊費が安いので仕方ありません。ただシャワー室の臭いが下水くさいのです。とてもキレイにしてるのに配管の問題なのか残念でした。でも部屋に冷蔵庫もついてるし、ベッドも寝心地が良かったし、窓からスカイツリーが見れるのが、最高にラッキーでした。贅沢言ったらバチが当たるかな？周囲は、昭和の下町の雰囲気で、良い感じでした。地下鉄駅に近いしコンビニも近いので、安く泊まりたい方はおススメです。ただ共同キッチンは、前に使った人が雑だと、水浸しになっていましたー。

布団も清潔でした。スプーンを借りられたのも良かったです。小さいスプーンやフォークがあれば更によいと思いました。ゴミへの配慮もさすがだと思いました。

たいへん清潔で気に入りました。コーヒーまで無料で利用できてうれしかったです。鍵もしっかりとかかるので安心できました。

すごくお勧め

廉価で宿泊でき、清潔感もありたいへん快適でした。 夜遅くに押上駅方面から参りましたが、建物がが道路から奥まったところにありましたので手前からは暗くて分からず、系列の施設かと思い西側の銭湯「さくらゆ」の番台で尋ねました（笑）。また是非利用させていただきたいと思います。

押上駅から近く、ロケーションが最高です。近所にスーパー、コンビニ、銭湯、飲食店等があります。各階にシャワー室とトイレが設置あるので、混み合うこともなく快適に過ごせました。掃除もよくできています。また利用したいです。

Sehr nettes Personal, sprechen teilweise gut Englisch, die Verständigung war also bestens, rund um die Uhr besetzt Eingangsbereich, Zimmer klein aber fein. Es lebte sich so wie in einer besseren Jugendherberge. Die Preise sind auch moderat, Kaffee, Misosuppe & Tee for free. Smokingarea war auch gleich auf der Terrasse. Günstig gelegen, kurze Laufwege zu öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln.

201号室に滞在したが、カーテン下が壊れていて、あれで普通の部屋に泊まった人と同じ料金を払っているのでは、やはり違うと思う。いっさいそういうことを事前に案内することもなく、ご案内されてはどうなのかなあとホテル側の体制を非難してしまう。もっとお客様の視線になったほうがいい。なので宿泊としてはダメだった。 I stayed in room 201, but the curtains were broken and I was paying the same price as a person who stayed in a normal room. Without having to give such information in advance, I would blame the hotel's system after seeing what would be done. You want to be more of a customer's gaze. So it was no good for staying.

対応が良くない

受付のメガネをかけた男性の対応が良くない。このホテルを再度とろうと思えなくなる。対応は、最低限のことはしてほしい。 The response of men wearing glasses at the reception is not good. You will not want to take this hotel again. We want you to do the minimum.

乾淨、安靜！

この値段なら満足

シングルルーム利用。洗面所などなくベッドと机、冷蔵庫があるだけの部屋。トイレや洗面所、シャワー室は共用。だけど1フロアに部屋数は少なかったのでシャワーもそんなに待つこともなく利用できた。シャワーの時間予約や何分以内という制限もなかったので焦らず使用できた。シャンプー、リンス、ボディソープは備え付けられていた。トイレ、洗面所も綺麗。部屋の電気が入り口にしかなく中が少し暗いかなと思った。

安くて良いかと思います。トイレとお風呂が部屋にないのは、少し残念でしたけど、、、。 音が、少しうるさいかなぁー。と感じました。

きれいでした。 タオル交換がお金かかるのはすこし欠点だと思います。 駅から近くていいですが乗り換えが不便です。

押上駅から出てホテルに向かうまで迷ってしまってフロントの方(女性)に電話した時の対応がとても親切にしてくださって助かりました。 ホテルに着いたら笑顔で迎えてくださってとても気持ちが良かったです。 部屋も綺麗で設備も整っていてとても満足しました。 ありがとうございました！

必要最小限の設備ですが、必要なものはきちんとそろっている、コンパクトで便利、コスパが最高です。部屋は清潔に保たれているのですが、宿泊者のモラルがなく、共用設備の洗面台の髪の毛などがが少し気になりました。張り紙等による宿泊者への啓発をより徹底した方が良いかもしれません。

ベッドの枕元にスマホ充電用コンセントが二つもあり大変便利でした。シャワーブースも快適。文句なし。

宿泊完了後のエクスペディアからのメールに「初回から使えるポイント」があるためという理由で、オークホステルへのウェブサイトに登録を促していたが、そのポイントをどう使うのかスタッフもなれておらず、対応に小一時間待たされ、疲れている上に貴重な時間を奪われ、非常に不愉快だった。また、相部屋になった客が非常に不快な刺激臭を放つ人で、全く寝られなかった。 相部屋の別の人はベッドの上で深夜に至るまで、何かビニール袋かクッション材のようなもので３時間以上２荷造り？か何かをしていたようで、不愉快な音で３時間も煩わされた。 顧客の質が、最低極まりないのだろうか？ 甚だ遺憾である。ここまで不愉快なホステルはそうそうお目にかかれるものではない。 エクスペディアの予約完了通知メールに記載で、ポイントが使えるのか使えないのか、正しいメールの表記に修正すべきであるのと、 顧客は悪臭を放つべきではないという、相部屋の宿泊客に不快感を与える音、光、悪臭を放つことのないように、もっと常識的なことを宿泊客に対して啓蒙すべきである。それが改善されないようであれば、もうここの宿泊施設では、２度と利用使用とは思わないし、他の宿泊客の大半もそう感じているだろう。改善を要望します。

比較的には新しく綺麗だったが、ベットメイクなど自分でやるようになっていて、値段と合わないと感じた。

駅からも近く、リーズナブル。近くにスーパーやコンビニもあるので食べ物には困りません。

Idéal pour explorer Tokyo.

Petite chambre. Mais bien placé pour bouger sur Tokyo avec le métro et très proche de la Skytree et du quartier d'Asakusa (qu'on a découvert le dernier jour malheureusement). Cuisine pratique au RDC et salles de bain suffisantes.

施設のどこも本当に清潔で今までで一番きれいなホステルでした。 また利用させていただきたいです。

アクセスも建物の清潔さも良かったのですが、部屋がオートロックで、開閉の音がうるさすぎでした。（これは他の簡易宿泊所も同じでかなり催眠を妨害されます。）同室の若い女の子はあいさつしてもムシ。気を使って冷房もいじれずとても暑かったです。結局3時間断続的にしか寝られず逃げるように出てきました。 昔はよくユースホステルやゲストハウスに泊まり、同室の人と仲良くなったのですが、目も合わせない宿泊者ばかりで、さもしい世の中になったと悲しくなりました。 こういった類の施設に泊まるのはもう無理だと思いました。

Endroit super bien située à 2mn de la gare avec un 7 eleven pas loin de la skytree. On a prit une chambre de 4 pour 3 personnes mais c’est petit. État général de la chambre et des sanitaires assez propre. Je reviendrai avec plaisir vu le prix et l’endroit ...

ホテルまでの道がわからなくてお電話しましたが、スタッフさんが優しく教えてくださり無事到着できました。トイレとシャワーが共同の宿泊施設ははじめて利用しましたが、綺麗だし環境もよかったと思います。ありがとうございました！

初めて対応悪いフロントにあたった。

足が悪いので下の段でとお願いしたが到着すると前日からの利用者ばかりで上の段のみであと4千円プラスして他の部屋しかないと言われた。仕方なく部屋に行き直接交渉しようかと思った。しかし23時になっても来ないのでフロントにお願いすると直ぐに交換して下さる。昼間の女性の不親切どうにかなりませんか?何回も利用させて頂きましたがこんな事嫌な対応は初めてです。他は何も不安無くいつも通り快適に過ごせました。

よいホステル

共有スペースが実用的でよいです。 スタッフの方が、一人で来ている外国人の方たちに色々話しかけてて、心が和みました。 こんなに安いのに、全体的にきれいで快適でした。

施設は全体的にキレイでした。トイレ、シャワー室も清潔感があってよかったです。 共用スペースについてはあまりリラックスできる感じではなく、ゆっくりしたいとは思えなかったです。受付の方はアルバイトの方が多いのか、施設にあまり関心が無いように見えました。 以前書かれていたように空調設備はフィルターがホコリがたまっている状態でした。 駅からは近いので寝るだけの拠点としてはとても良いです。

荷物を整理したり預けるロッカールームがないので、ベッドルームでの騒音が気になる。 できれば男女の階を分けて欲しい。
