Bait and switch

We booked a "Glamour Apartment" but the apartment that we actually checked into was anything but glamorous. The host swapped us to another apartment on a lower floor without telling us beforehand, and did not pick up when we called multiple times. Note that there is no onsite reception, and the key was provided in a lockbox. The host only replied the day after saying that there was a "clogged toilet issue" and thus we had to be swapped to an alternate property. The apartment was old and dirty with many issues - sinks that didn't drain fully, doors that didn't close properly, and loud construction noise immediately next to the building that started the following morning at 7am. Unfortunately we did not get a restful sleep and could not wait to leave.

I couldn't honestly praise NYNA house and the hosts enough. The apartment itself is a genuine oasis of calm and quiet away from the wonderfully chaotic streets of Hanoi - despite still being conveniently located right in the middle of the city. For anyone travelling for a short or long period of time in Hanoi, the place is kind of ideal: great WIFI, really comfortable bed and space, modern shower, and a really spacious and comfy private roof-garden to watch the city coming to life every morning. The hosts were super communicative, helpful and generous (always answering any questions right away) and all the staff in the coffee shop downstairs were really friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood itself is also great. Not touristy at all (as opposed to the old quarter) so you can get a sense of real Hanoi life, but it's also just a short cab ride away from all the main touristy hotspots, if that's your thing. Next time in Hanoi, I'll be staying here again!

A wonderful stay in the middle of it all. We felt like we got the full Vietnam city experience. Place is spacious. We only ended up using the top floor since it was enough room for all 4 of us. Food and stores within walking distance too. Host is so helpful with booking tours, drivers, and answering all questions as well. She arranged for our tour guides to pick us up right outside the apartment quad. We had a very comfortable stay after being out and about throughout our days there!

Do not stay!

Incredibly sketchy, the adress to the hotel is wrong. Ended up staying in a weird apartment that did not have a working shower. The hotel airport shuttle is also not free like the add implies.

Very clean, hot water and wifi was stable. We stayed at the start of winter so keeping warm was important. The property was in a neighborhood so you get the feels of how locals live. They have multiple properties so it depends on which room type you choose. They created a WhatsApp group to stay in touch and were very responsive. A little further from Old Quarters but much preferred as it can get very noisy and dusty if we stayed in the heart of Old Quarters. Will definitely stay with them again!

This is a great place, in the best location, and the hosts were thoughtful with recommendations. The space was clean and amazing as advertised. I noticed that the wifi sometimes has problems but they fix it very quickly

A very central apartment, conveniently situated. Spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Communication both before arrival and during our stay was prompt and helpful. Would happily recommend it. However, the mattress is a bit hard but overall, everything is ok for me

The place is modern, comfortable and super-clean. It’s located near Hoan Kiem Lake, so fabulous for sightseeing with everything within walking distance. A marvelous place to stay.

I am quite happy staying in NYNA house. The room is clean, bright, and well-designed. The place is very convenient for shopping and can access a lot of restaurants in just some steps. The NYNA coffee house had good drinks and was very convenient. Especially, I had a good impression of the host. She is very kind and always responds to me just after I send her a message. I am sure that I will use NYNA house when I come back to Hanoi.

The host supported me so enthusiastically right when I needed help. The place is near the Old Quarter, and it is easy to find. Highly recommend for those who have a trip to Hanoi

Stayed for 2 different nights, and we were upgraded for the second night. Lovely comfortable bed in a clean, air-conditioned room. The location is excellent and within walking distance of the French Quarter. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was comfortable and clean. We particularly liked that we had separate rooms and there are 2 bathrooms, although the other 1 is quite small ( but manageable). The space is quite huge (as we were only 2) and has basic amenities. The apartment itself is not beside the street, so you have to walk a short distance along narrow alleyways to get to 26 NYNA House. A person helped us check in, so we’re thankful for that. The place itself is peaceful (at night). Good thing we were out (and early) all day, so we actually had good sleep every night. Overall, a good stay: affordable, clean, and good location (a lot of restos, cafes, shops in the area).

気になった点として、シャワーのお湯がなかなか出ませんでした。暑いシーズンだったので良かったですが少し寒かったです。部屋は清潔でしたが、小さなアリの巣がありました。神経質な方だと気になるかも…？施設の方の対応は素晴らしいです。気さくに連絡を頂けて、送迎サービスも非常にスムーズでした。ホームステイの場所はどこへ行くにも好アクセスな場所です。20分程歩けば色々な場所に行くことが出来ます。ローカルな場所なので、ハノイの雰囲気を味わうにはとてもいいところだと思います。スパやゆったりした雰囲気を感じたい方には不向きだと思います。
