I would definitely recommend staying at Nun. The property is beautifully maintained and the staff were wonderful. If you can book dinner at the restaurant, it was also very good.

The Nun Assisi is fantastic. The service is amazing. The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Every staff member greets you with a smile and are always offering you a coffee or something to eat. The rooms are very modern, cozy and quiet. The bathroom shower is top notch. The Nun Spa is a must visit. The Nun is in easy walking distance to everything in Assisi. 5 Stars!

Idea place to stay in Assisi

Don't Stay Here If The Weather is Hot

The temperature this summer in Italy has been in the 90s and this should be no surprise this hotel. When we checked in to room #7, we were asked for our preference in room temperature, which was 20 degrees (C) and our host confirmed this was possible. Two hours later the thermostat registered the same as when we entered (25 C). I called the desk, and they said give it time. 4 hours after check-in it was still at 25. I asked for assistance. They sent a technician which reported the room was working fine. Really? When we returned after dinner at 10 pm, the room was at 25 C. I believe the hotel knew that 20 C was never possible due to their inadequate AC system, but they never disclosed this. The room was not comfortable for sleeping, and if I knew this at check-in I would have left and chosen another hotel. Since I prepaid the room on Hotel.com they could not offer a refund. I had a bad night of sleep because the room was too hot. In fact, in the morning, when it was 75 degrees outside, the thermostat was still at 25 C. The property is beautiful, but I also wish their Hotel.com description accurately described the Spa Suites, which can be on two floors with a steep staircase. The bed and bathroom upstairs and the living space downstairs. I am disappointed that the hotel is not prepared for summer heat, and since I have been traveling in Italy all month, this is the first hotel with an AC problem. So, if you plan to visit in the summer, pick a different place.

The property is stunning in a perfect simplistic manner. Set in a spectacular Umbrian hill top town, the views, the aesthetics, the friendliness of the staff could not be any better.

Sublimely designed property both on the decor, the garden and the fantastic spa. The staff was professional and yet personable which is not easy to accomplish. Divine breakfast daily and dinner at their restaurant Benedikto.

Top notch hotel PERIOD

Excellent hotel with a fresh and delicious daily breakfast, spectacular spa and fantastic staff.

The Nun Relais is an exceptional hotel. The attention to detail was extraordinary and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The quiet location at the top of Assisi was just what we wanted, and we very much enjoyed the beautiful gardens of lavender and rosemary. We will recommend this hotel to all our friends!

Ok but v expensive

Lovely hotel. Room right off main walkway so noisy at most times. Unable to open windows or curtains as so overlooked. Bathroom tiny and open to bedroom

Everything was excellent. The only slight downer was the A/C was not operating, but when we opened the windows it was very pleasant.

This property is very special. The spa is amazing, the Rooms were lovely and the service was always attentive and of a very high standard. Assisi is such a beautiful place but the Assisi Relais and nunnery spa museum was our favorite stay over 3-weeks of travel. I highly recommend this property as an oasis during your travels and our the best memory of our European trip.

Perfect place to stay in Assisi

Assisi is a beautiful town to visit and the Nun Hotel is the perfect place to stay. Pictures don’t do it justice. It’s close to everything, has a beautiful garden and is historically fascinating. Most of all the staff were amazing! We had a beautiful view of the castle from our window. You can’t go wrong with this property!

The property exceeded our expectations. It was very modern, clean and the staff were delightful. The spa was a great escape from our long trip through Italy and was just what we needed. The property is located at the top of Assisi and overlooks the town and castle. It is within walking distance to everything, has a wonderful bar and breakfast each morning.

Heaven on Earth !!

Absolutely heaven on earth !! Loved our experience at the Nunn Assisi hotel. The room was beautiful and well appointed. The spa experience was incredible, my husband and I had a couples massage then enjoyed the nunn curcuit, so relaxing and very peaceful. Also, the breakfast was incredible with a huge selection of breads, fruit, yogurt, pasteries and more.

Perfect location

Everything about the hotel is just perfect. The staff is fantastic, every detail is thought of. Breakfast was lovely. Views and proximity to where you want to be. I will stay again.

Very attractive modern hotel

Location outside central area provides insulation from tourist traffic but requires walk or taxi if older or handicapped. Also need to request room on lower level if steps a problem.Worth booking if these factors not an issue.

Gorgeous place to see assisi

Beautifully renovated boutique hotel with a really special spa attached. The rooms are stunning, we had a view of Rocco maggiore:). The people are fabulous. Nice drinks and my favourite breakfast of our whole trip.

Tranquil beauty

I loved the nun Assisi. A beautiful and tranquil oasis on top of the hill. The staff were so discreet yet attentive and we felt as if we were the only guests. I spent each afternoon in the relax zone of the Olive Garden looking out over the Rocco maggiore. The nun Assisi is a truly special place, we spent 6 days here and would happily have stayed longer.

Awesome hotel and spa

It's a beautiful hotel and spa, and we loved our spa services. Challenge is that our room was very hot - the air conditioning wasn't quite working well, so it made sleeping a bit difficult. But otherwise, the service, staff and hotel/spa was absolutely wonderful.

A very unique and restful stay.

It was great! Room was very comfortable and the spa was very unique. Not a swimming pool but a four-step Roman bath, very relaxing. Restaurant was superb. Location is great in a walkable charming medieval town.

Great Hotel in a wonderful location. Personnel were helpful, courteous and attentive. The restaurant was excellent. Would definitely go back to this hotel. At the very least, visit the spa on site. It is absolutely beautiful.

Wouldn't stay anywhere but here

Such a beautiful hotel, all newly renovated. Staff went above and beyond. Our room was stunning, kept the original architecture of the nunnery, but the renovations were contemporary. Short walk into the heart of town. The welcome drink and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel.

Sheer Delight!!!

We had a fantastic time! I traveled with My mother and 6 year old daughter. It was picturesque, idyllic just like out of a movie. We had a great time At the hotel. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Dinner At the restaurant was suberb. My mom was enchanted by a group of young students from the neighboring School who were so vibrant and outgoing. They had a selfie. I am looking forward to return and use the spa ammenities. To My daughter's disappontment, She could not partake because 12 yrs is the required age but I look forward to that another day.

Experience of Renaissance and Classic Rome

We felt like we had stepped back in time when we walked up the stone stairs to our two story room; yet with all the modern amenities desired by today's traveler. We loved the mineral pools in Roman bath spa museum - very cool experience! We enjoyed a great dinner at the hotel's restaurant Eat Out - contemporary Italian cuisine.

We expected it to be good...

We expected it to be good but it was even better than we anticipated. Smart and comfortable but relaxed and friendly. Super breakfast, wonderful spa and garden. Rather a lot of steps... but not really a problem for us - yet!

Fantastic Spa, A Privilege to Stay

Stayed for one night in Assisi whilst driving from Florence to Abruzzo. Booked rate inclusive of a spa credit which allows use of the hotels spa facilities, the spa is small but perfectly formed and puts UK equivalents to shame. Sitting in the Jacuzzi looking around at the Roman ruins was an honour. We parked in the public car park in front,the hotel provided a voucher for a slightly discounted rate, 16 euro instead of 25 euro.

Good location and spa.

Lovely hotel and spa (worth paying the €30 pp for day entry). Breakfast buffet was good rand you could also order hot food. You can get discounted parking just across the road for €12 a night which is much cheaper than using the hotel's garage. Walkable distant to most sights as long as you're okay with hills! Robes and slippers in room but no tea / coffee facilities in room.

Beautiful property

Beautiful property on a quiet secluded street. Overall it was a very good expeience, but it's a 5 star resort so that was expected. The restaurant was also beautiful but food was average. I thought the quality of service was also average and not as good as some 3 star hotels in Italy.

Luxurious and relaxing

Hubby and I stayed at Nun Assisi for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it!! We had room #11.....the one with the private terrace!! Even though the weather is a tad chilly in March we still went up there daily and enjoyed the sun rise and sun set. It was just so lovely we really didn't want to leave. The spa facilities are done so tastefully as it is set around an ancient amphitheater. The pool was so relaxing and fun to float around and turn on all the jets! The bed was a nice king size with memory foam and linen/cotton sheets.....pure luxury and so conducive to a great night's sleep. The bathroom was a little cramped but that's OK because it's good to get close!! The breakfast was superb and really started off the day wonderfully. They would even make omelettes to order! Overall, I would highly recommend Nun Assisi for anyone who is looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay !

Top Notch In Every Way

Beautiful hotel, excellent staff, amazing food, QUIET. Sitting in the hot tub amidst the ruins of a Roman amphitheater was beyond all great travel experiences. Excellent chef, with a respectful eye towards organic and local tradition. Restaurant is a bit expensive, but far superior to the tourist restaurants in the center. Beautiful breakfast buffet, homemade pastries, and bread like bread should be made. The experience is worth every penny.

An oasis for all your senses...romance rekindled

The decor inside and outside immediately relaxes you and you know you have arrived at an oasis. The staff is friendly and provides amazing personalized services...they went out of their way to meet our requests. The spa is over priced but the services are good (better than most hotel spas) in a very unique and relaxing setting. Go for a basic Swedish or ask for a Deep Tissue....the rest is exotic sounding and expensive with low value. The room is very modern with clean lines and lots of white space (not cluttered). We had a duplex which gave is a modern apartment-like feel. The bed was too soft and not firm...the only negative in the whole experience. The best aspect about the Nun Assisi is the restaurant...the best, hands down in Assisi for simple, authentic, farm to table fresh food. We ate there on the first night and should have just stayed in every night...this is no hotel food...it's amazing...from the tempura of cod fish and zucchini to the pasta al dente with black truffle and mushrooms to the cannoli...and more...you have not had such good food in the best NY restaurants at such value. Romance rekindled.

"Night at the Museum "

It is an amazing hotel with excellent service and delicious food, pleasant staff. We were in room 10 with the beautiful 1612 fresco and it was truly an evening to remember! Regrettably, we were not able to try the spa with the ancient pillars dating to 1 AD. But the staff kindly toured us and even took our pictures! Bring bathing suits and stay at least 2 nights!

I have stayed in fancy places throughout the world . But This is spectacular !!!!!!!!!!..... What a place , from the moment you enter , it is serene and calm .... This converted monastary has all it's old character with completely new Italian design and technology .

A Wonderful Experience

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Nun during our trip to Italy in May. Everything about the hotel - the staff, accommodations, restaurant, service, room - was amazing. The architecture and design of the hotel is so interesting and understated -just lovely. Our room had a perfect view of Rocca Maggiore. We took full advantage of the spa and can highly recommend it. Overall, I can't imagine a better experience. We love Assisi because it is such a beautiful and peaceful place and staying at the Nun contributed to making us love Assisi even more. We will definitely stay there again when we return.

Heaven in Assisi

We selected Nun Assisi Spa Museum due to its location and were completely thrilled with everything there. The building and grounds are beautiful and the staff went above and beyond at every request. We dined there for three nights and the menu is definitely unusual and delicious. I cannot wait to return to this beautiful paradise.

SUPERB BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN CLASSIC SETTING

Staff are superb, and the hotel is a wonderful restoration of a 13th century religious house. The food is magnificent - terrific use of Umbrian local ingredients. Try the Montefalco wine! Lovely spa facilities. I'm giving the place five stars because I'm not allowed to give it six.
