The breakfast was pretty average for a buffet, the housekeeping were not great as they didnt make the bed properly or replace dirty glasses
Excellent location. Easy access to a diversecrange if food, cultur and entertainment. Comfortable and stylish hotel.
Very comfortable clean quiet hotel
A wider variety of breakfast options would be appreciated.
We had the best stay at Novotel Darling Harbour! Perfect area if you’d like to explore Sydney CBD which is easily accessible by walking or catching the tram. Would stay here again!
Conveniently located - it's close to Chinatown and Darling Square, which makes it a lot easier to find a good dining spot. It's relatively clean, room is spacious.
Great place to stay
Great Stay
Great location, comfortable room and good price
Great location. Had a great stay
舒服,方便!
Close to plenty of food options. Very clean and staff are great!
Great location
No minibar and pool was out of order for the only day we were there
We had a beautiful view of the Chinese Friendship Gardens from our room and also, as it turns out, the NYE fireworks at Darling Harbour. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the location was ideal in getting to pretty much anywhere in the CBD by either walking or catching either of the tram lines (L1 or L3) which were both a 5 minute stroll away. We are planning our next trip to Sydney in the not too distant future and it will include another stay at the Novotel Darling Square.
Excellent Location for access to China Town and Darling Harbour
very good
Fantastic experience
Check was slower then expected.
Expensive room right next to a noisy freeway. Room card often not work had to be replaced. F
Great location. Walking distance to light rail, ICC. Comfy beds and very helpful staff. Will return.
Spacious rooms, next to Chinatown
A well appointed hotel adjacent to Chinatown & Darling Square with lots of dining options. The rooms are spacious & clean & the hotel staff are very friendly & helpful.
Cozy and comfortable with staff approachable, genuinely attentive and helpful. Hotel is so situated conveniently around eateries and shops which thin walking distance.
Affordable, safe and so handy to everything. This is the only place our family stays in Sydney
Great weekend getaway
Location brilliant, our checkin was really positive and friendly, breakfast was good, room was nice and clean. Only downside the sofa bed was hard as a rock.
Great location. Lovely staff. Clean and modern room.
Excellent staff service 👏 👍
Lovely
Lovely hotel. They held my bags for me before check in time.
Lovely modern motel in perfect location
Liked being in the business district...felt safe. Also, it was within walking distance of several light rail stops which was convenient. Also, there is a Starbucks directly across from this hotel which was a bonus to me!
We stayed a few nights in the school holidays and it was so well located for kids and parents alike. There are interesting price varied eating options, it's a fun city atmosphere in a safe family friendly area. So close to everything you need. The Novotel itself was wonderful. great rooms, great staff and having your bed made up and reset was superb - why we love hotel treatment.

Not professional.
Great Location
Great locations, nice rooms , friendly staff
Someone was smoking in the room next to me. So that made an uncomfortable night.
The property, location and staff were great. Only issue was a rattle through the air-conditioning vent in my room.
Excellent position - lovely clean hotel - everything you need. Perfect walking distance to everything. Highly recommend
Lovely Hotel great location and very friendly and obliging staff.
Great location.
Close to eateries. Good location. Do not like the bed cover (blankets). Its like a small doona swimming in a big cover. Hard to tidy the bed and messy cover.
Great location for Darling Harbour but noisy at night …
Air freshener in the foyer was overpowering
Over priced
The hotel has different kinds of rooms and there seems to be no difference in price but it made the difference between my daughter’s room having a water bottle and hot tea and mine not. The bed was uncomfortable and there was no where to put your clothes if you wanted to unpack except 4 hangers in the closet. You’re paying for the location and that’s about it. The breakfast at the hotel was $38/ person and though it’s a buffet, that seems a bit much.
Absolutely everything about Novotel creates a wonderful, memorable family holiday experience that meets needs for every individual of the family.
The room was very nice and clean, and the hotel is in a great location near the ICC and tons of dining options.
Small, but stylish and functional
Hotel is in a top location, so close to many restaurants. Rooms are small, but beautifully designed and furnished. We had what they call an executive suite overlooking the Chinese Gardens, but it’s not really a suite, it’s a small room. Has everything you need for a short stay.
Everything was clean. Staff were nice. Nothing special about the breakfast. Good location.
Close to Darling Square & Harbour

Perfect location for access to Darling Harbour, Chinatown and Light Rail
Excellent place with surrounded food and walkable shops be back again.
great position to get around most of darling harbour or china town or the sydney cbd clean and welcoming fantasic place too stay
It’s was in a great location. The only thing that was annoying was they provided shampoo but no conditioner and no moisturiser and no toothbrush and toothpaste
Great location. A littke noisey from outside traffic. Reception staff very helpful.
Very convenient place to everything.
4 days 3 nights
Pros : GREAT location, near all kinds of food. Near Darling Harbour, near both L1 and L2, 3 tram. Can't go wrong. Staff very friendly and helpful. You get a free drink each over night stay for not requiring room clean. Good way to stay green and not wast water to clean it all the time. Nice bed, Got good sold night sleep. Cons: sound proofing from the outside is good but sounds from the inside is pretty bad. I could hear water flashing. Next door vacuum. People talking. Cleaningness need to improve. Lots of dust on the vent. Found a hair on the toilet seat 😅 Other then that the room is good. Would I stay again - yes. Would I recommend this hotel - yes. But will also try other hotels near by.
Excellent hotel - clean, pool was beautiful. Walking distance to everything, 10/10 this is my new Sydney hotel
Great location
Great place easy to walk to, except one of the lifts being down.
Comfortable bed, so close to a range of bar a restaurant options. Staff were very nice and helpful. The stay was effortless.
Quality comfortable stay
Great hotel and location. within 10-15min walk of major transit hubs. Lots of food and entertainment options around. Rooms were well appointed and clean. Beds were comfortable and cleaned daily upon request. Staff was were very helpful and attentive from check in to check out.
Great locations, professional customers service
So happy with my stay here. 6 min walk to Capitol Theatre. Great eating. Easy access to trains, light rail and ferrys.
Stayed 11days and had a great time, hotel was top fight and would stay there again.
Great stay!
Mini holiday stay, great location and excellent service! Hotel was clean and well presented.
Great service
Unfriendly service at check in. Amenities such as hair conditioner, slippers, hand cream not stocked within the room. Accommodating of check out extension.
Was pretty good except for the road works out side during our stay so we couldn’t sleep at night until 1am when they stopped.
very nice stay
lovely property well appointed room with my favourite hotel item - a makeup mirror. very friendly and helpful staff across all areas. Reception, housekeeping, bar and dining staff. well done great location too
Good location. Poor breakfast
It was quiet and clean and so close to everything
Fantastic location. Close to Darling Harbour and Chinatown, with dining options galore. 5 min walk to light rail stations.
Friendly staff
Great location and clean facilities but never saw staff member smiling.
Great position Great food Great parking Very convenient to the Trams Very comfy bed Very clean
Location is very strategic, walking distance to the train station, many food options around. Staff are friendly, clean room and bathroom. Recommended and will stay here again.
Hotel was nice in and out, in room was very clean and neat and tidy, i like most was it was at the center that a door step in all of restaurants and shops
Property facilities and amenities are very basic. The location is close enough to walk towards Chinatown and Darling Quarters where there’s plenty of dining options and shopping. Staff are friendly.

Did not like anything
Enjoyed the stay at this location
My wife and I spent 6 days at the Novotel DS. We found it very convenient for getting around whether we were walking or taking the LRT or train, (short distance to walk) The Saturday night fireworks on the harbour which are less than 5 min walk away is not to be missed. The staff were very courteous and helpful as well.
Very close to Chinatown, dining, public transportation and shopping.
Very clean out front, VERY nice staff.
No room available at hotel check in time
When I arrived the hotel with my kids at about 1:30pm, I went to the reception to do the check in. The staff told me that the room was not ready yet because the hotel check in time is 2pm. I thought that was fair enough. And just completed the check in document first. After that we sat at the lobby area to wait. Then at about 2:05pm, I went back to the reception and asked if the room ready yet. This time was a different staff, she told me that the room was still not ready and asked me if I wanted drink voucher. I asked her that is the hotel check in time at 2pm? and she answered Yes but room was not ready and that's why she asked me if I wanted drink voucher. All I needed was a room but not drinks then I walked away and back to my kids to wait. At about 2:20pm, I back to the reception again, I went to see the first staff that I had done the document with and asked her if the room ready or not. She checked with housekeeping staff and finally there was a room ready, and I asked her: didn't you told me before that the hotel check in time is 2pm? Then she said because the hotel was fully booked the night before. But all I thought was the hotel was fully booked the night before was not my problem at all. I paid over $400 for one night from 2pm to 11am. I think it is not fair to anyone if the room is not ready by the check in time at 2pm. Every minute counted. $$$$$$$
I changed my booking from a different hotel to this one because of the swimming pool. Swimming pool was closed for maintenance. Would have been nice for them to mention this on the site. I was not able to pay using the debit facility on my card, but had to make payment as creditcard to incur the service fee. Was in a great location with plenty of places to eat.
Lovely, clean and staff super helpful
Great experience for my first time in Sydney!
Very easy stay, very flat to walk about the area. We stayed here to visit the museum which was a short taxi ride away. Very convenient.
Clean, quiet, friendly staff. Car parking is off site not so easy to find then you have to walk back in rain, up to 10minutes. Directions provided by hotel not helpful
The only negative was the bed , it was too soft !
Fairly clean, nice and quiet, friendly staff. Walkable distance to city, darling harbour and other places.

Hotel is clean, bed is comfortable. However, the pool is very cold for indoor pool, you can really enjoy. The window trim has water damaged for a while and my 6years old almost slide his fingers. The bathroom didn’t get refilled with toothpaste, toothbrushes or slippers. Have to request when you check in (the receptionist said)
