Hotel was great for the price but the location for New Years was not great over an hour walk to Copa Cabana that's on us for not researching thou but beside that its super close to everything.

Beautiful and well run and the staff were Superb!!

Overall hotel looks nice. Location is excellent if you are not looking to be close to Copacabana. Front Desk staff could improve by at least smiling. They were so serious. Breakfast was excellent.

I liked that it was closed to everything including. I did not like the fact it had a lot of homeless people around. Thank you

Well located, clean, modern, comfortable, fantastic food, first class service. I had one of the best meals in my life for dinner at the restaurant, the seafood pasta. I will return to stay this hotel when I'm in Rio de Janeiro again.

Property in good shape Area surrounding looks sketchy in day but building secure and well lite at night safe and walkable. Grocery and restaurants near by. Uber drops at front door of hotel

Do not stay in this hotel!!!

Staff does not speak English. Fitness room did not have towels and water. Even worse the ac was not work in there what made impossible to workout with an inside temperature of 100F. I need to change rooms as my first one had short circuit. I paid for executive room and got this condition.

Strongly recommend good location and great staff

Staff are the gold of the hotel. Very flexible at reception and extremely helpful. Just a broken tap handle but all the rest was perfect. Great options of TV channels and bed and pillows very comfortable.

Despite being in a nice location it’s not trivial to reach the beach in front of the hotel. The combination of red lights and underground pedestrian passage is not close to the hotel. Breakfast is very good and the hotel as well as rooms are quite clean. The rooms are a bit dated and are showing their age, including on the Executive Floor.

Loved this hotel and would stay again. I enjoyed the meal I had in the hotel restaurant and would certainly eat there again. I liked that this hotel was across the street from a beach. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I used to be really impressed with Novotel, but Novotel Botofogo was a disappointment in so many areas.

We liked the accessibility to shopping and transportation. However, very disappointed with the following: Only 1 bath towel for 2 occupants. No wash cloths provided. No shower gel provided but plenty of shampoo. Electric kettle, cups and saucers, but no tea bags or coffee, no creamers or sugars. No listing in the room of numbers for restaurant or front desk. No menu for restaurant. No listing of local attractions/eateries/malls. NO IRON OR IRON BOARD! We had to BORROW and were admonished to return it in 40 MINUTES!!

Nice place, clean, close to everything. Supermarket, shopping options, and a lot of taxis could be found right at the entrance of the hotel. Highly recommend if you go to rio with or without kids.

The lobby looks good and modern, but the room is kind of old already and needs urgent refurbishing. The shower is really great, but the bed and pillows are just so, so! Overall, just an average hotel!

window view from bath to the room (super cool) & good breakfest served in the room (fair price as well); the cordiality from the 3pp parking lot person wasn´t good (maybe bcause only one person for whole hotel), not available mtc person 24x7 (my room had the lights turned off and just got help in the next morning).

Friendly staff, good food, and clean rooms. Overall a great experience that contributed to my successful trip to Rio. Also I really liked the bed.

The Novotel Botafogo is a great option for any kind of trip. It's located near the subway so you can get to many places quite easily. Room has a good size and it's always shower clean. The staff in this hotel is fantastic. Check in and check out, shower s fast. Whenever I go to Rio, that is my favourite place to be.

Hotel was clean and pleasant. Temperature control of shower water was very poor. I found it essential to not take morning showers. There was no ability to make a black coffee in the room.

Good location, it's near the mall and across from the beach. The breakfast's choices are poor. No club soda/sparkling water.

Stay away from Novotel chain in Rio

This hotel was overbooked, so they moved me to another one 4 km away. This was understandable. The real issue was that this hotel charged my credit card, and the new hotel did not recognize the credit. I had to call everyday the previous hotel during 3 days until I got the refund.

Novotel Botafogo

Really nice and beautiful hotel. I was there for only one night, but got impressed by the kindness of staff and decoration of room and lobby.

Iury at the reception gave us the best customer service in our entire visit to Brazil. Found us a room early, gave us a book on Gunabara Bay, and gave us great site seeing tips! The hotel has a great location, is about 15 minutes from Cristo Redentor. Also has great restaurants just few blocks away. Breakfast is excellent. Our room had a beautiful view to the Sugar Loaf mountain.

It was a cute little place and the location was perfect! Would stay again. My room wasn't ready when I showed up so they gave me a free upgrade!

Clean modern hotel, great for short business stays

Dissapointed

The checkin was slow as they could not find our booking.This took approx 30 minutes for what should have bern a 10 minute process. We could not find the gym and we coukd noit access our room as the elevator was being serviced.

One of the best hotels in Rio

This is a fantastic hotel located in the great Botafogo area. Walking distance to the mall with many dining options and great shopping.

No good at all

Stay was no good. Loud banging two days in a row. Overpriced for what you get. I would have been happier staying somewhere much cheaper because at least I would have paid less for a bad service. Accor hotels usually are very disappointing. No more Accor Hotels for me or my employees.

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, reasonably sized room, excellent location. The breakfast buffet is good and can make you skip lunch.

Nice facilities, service needs improvement

Modern and comfortable hotel with lovely lounge/bar area in the lobby, clean rooms with basic amenities. Tasty food at breakfast and throughout the day on their regular menu. Lack of communication between staff members and poor system updates. When I checked in, the front desk had no record of the conference room I had booked nor the package that had been delivered for the event. Night of panic ensued. To their credit, the Novotel Botafogo offered the best rental prices for a meeting room of this size in the city. Terrible view of a brick wall from hotel room, with little natural light, sadly.

overall a good hotel

Some small issues like a shower area which has water flowing out, and narrow room that the chair can't push neck far enough for one to stand up straight. Otherwise a good hotel for its price.

Long line for check-in, floor and bathroom not being cleaned up completely, WiFi being very weak and not connected well. First time to stay but never use the hotel.

Foi tudo bem, tudo condiz com o anuncio. Porem, tivemos um problema com o barulho do ar condicionado, pedimos para arrumarem logo que chegamos, porem nunca fui atendido. Acabamos acostumando com o barulho, que parecia um alarme 24hrs.

Solo para pasar la noche...

El hotel no tiene mucho para hacer, a diferencia de otros hoteles el Rio. Llegamos y la primera pieza que nos asignaron tenía olor a humedad y las sabanas de la cama estaban humedas. Solicité el cambio de pieza y accedieron, la segunda estaba mejor.

Boa estadia

a estrutura do hotel é muito boa, quarto muito bom também, cama confortável. Café da manhã muito bom. O atendimento durante o nosso check in deixou a desejar, chegamos de noite e cansados, faltou um pouco de tato por parte do atendente. O restante dos atendentes da recepção foram excelentes e super solicitos.

Não sei por qual razão fomos acomodados em um quarto PCD. Entendo a importância, mas para quem não é portados=r de necessidades especiais, fica bastante comprometido o conforto.

A localização do hotel é muito boa e hotel muito cheiroso

Café da manhã com produtos faltando e mesas sujas, uma hora antes do final. Isso nos dois dias em que estivemos. Funcionarios da recepção nao foram simpáticos. Gerente Vinicius foi ótimo!

De maneira geral foi bia Achei o quarto com pouca luz, e o banheiro desconfortavel, porque as portas nao fechavam...nem a do vaso nem a da pia e chuveiro

Wir haben nur eine Nacht, statt 2 Nächte im Hotel verbracht. Eine Rückerstattung ist beim Check Out nicht drauf eingegangen.

The hotel has a nice lobby, period. The corridors to the rooms smell bad (mold/ humidity). During my three days the same McDonnalds bag (with food) remained in the garbage can in the corridors. The rooms are old, walls are stained, floor scratched etc. The shower was good though. All and all not a great stay!

O hotel é bem localizado, com um Shopping bem pertinho, na mesma calçada. O café da manhã é ótimo, com muitas opções. Jantamos no hotel e a comida estava uma delícia.

The personnel was very professional and the breakfast buffet was good. While the bed was comfortable, the room was in need of repairs.

Boa opção na Praia de Botafogo

As instalações são excelentes: quarto de bom tamanho, cama e poltrona muito confortáveis e bom espaço de armários. Banheiro bem projetado com amenities de excelente qualidade. Mesmo em um andar baixo o barulho da rua não incomodou. A localização é muito boa e a vista para o Pão de Açúcar foi a cereja do bolo. Os únicos pontos negativos foram que no primeiro café da manhã os pães e bolos não estavam frescos e um pequeno vazamento no box.

Bem localizado

Bom custo benefício. Os quartos são um pouco escuros demais e a limpeza poderia ser mais criteriosa, mas nada que impacte definitivamente na estadia. Café da manhã ok. Boa cama e chuveiro.

Localizaçao muito boa pra quem quer ficar para este lado do Rio, possui supermercado ao lado, tem uma vista incrivel. Equipe super atenciosa.

Hotel ben posizionato in zona Botafogo. Le camere necessitano di una ristrutturazione. Pulizia di tutto l’hotel lascia a desiderare, moquette sporche, sedie del ristorante macchiate e pavimento appiccicoso. Vetri delle camere sporchi, peccato perche’ la vista sul Pão d’azucar è spettacolare. Colazione abbastanza triste, con poca scelta. Cappuccino imbevibile, 2 succhi freschi e la scelta dei cibo caldi proprio basica. Hotel sprovvisto di piscina. Personale gentile, professionale ma non con quel “jeitinho” brasiliano. Boh, che dire senza lode ne infamia.

Rio no Novotel Praia de Botafogo

Atendimento cordial, ótimas instalações, mas sinto falta de uma piscina e ter de pegar o ferro de passar roupa e devolvê-lo em 40 minutos não é amigável. Para o nível do hotel (4 estrelas), eles poderiam disponibilizar um aparelho para cada quarto.

Bom, mas não vale o preço.

O hotel fica bem localizado e os funcionários são simpáticos, mas é muito caro para o que entrega. Além disso, o alarme de incêndio disparou erroneamente às 5h da manhã e não conseguimos ligar para recepção para confirmar o que estava ocorrendo, meus pais, idosos, tiveram que descer 5 andares de escada para no térreo descobrir que havia sido um equívoco. Foi uma situacao desgastante, não recomendo o local.

Alarme disparou de madrugada

Na última noite, 5h da madrugada o alarme tocou, fazendo todos saírem de seus quartos e aparentemente foi alarme falso, por problema no alarme, mas na manhã seguinte já vieram falando que foi alguém fumando. Obviamente causou grande transtorno, ainda mais nós que estávamos com criança no quarto.

Academia sem ar condicionado funcionando

Quarto bom, mas academia estava sem ar condicionado. Quebrado. Impossível de usar. Atendimento nos quartos não foi muito amável. Pessoa que veio entregar a comida não foi amável como eu esperava.

Vista para o paredão

Já havia me hospedado em hotéis da rede Novotel anteriormente, e como sempre a estadia e atendimento foram incríveis. Um único detalhe porém, que deixou a desejar foi a seleção do quarto. Eu havia reservado com vista para a cidade e não para uma parede e por se tratar de uma viagem de casal era um diferencial a mais que eu gostaria de ter proporcionado para minha namorada em nossa primeira viagem juntos.

Attention les chambres réservées via hôtel.com ont vue sur un mur, heureusement l’hôtel a excepté de changer notre chambre pour une vue sur le pain de sucre!
