Great location and the hotel has excellent facilities. We loved the Pretty Boy bar. Service was excellent. The gym was also well equiped. Small but super quiet rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

very small room with twin beds. no drawer space. ok for a couple of days but for several days, there’s no extras. Tv channels were bare minimum. good location for victoria market and free trams. not a family type of hotel. no creature comforts.

Great location of hotel walking distance to Victoria Market and the free Tram. The hotel shares with Ibis the same building and the upper floors with magnificent views are Novotel guests. Stayed in room 2802. Great breakfast spread with ample room.

We had a great stay at Novotel but I’d like to especially point out your friendly staff. Your concierge in particular was amazing! (Italian man) he was so kind and thoughtful to my little 5 year old and he really made her time away. It’s so wonderful to see staff so happy and friendly to all

Great location walking distance to Melbourne central mall & emporium. Good cafe. Friendly staff that made the stay lovely. Wonderful bonus was the complimentary filtered water & sparkling water on level 2!

Not good value.

I don’t like the hotel room size. No space for anything. It’s like a budget hotel. The only good things is the valet parking attendant James. He makes us happy whenever we return from outing to let him park our car.

Staff were fantastic - more helpful than other novotelsnin Melbourne - this property closer to hardware lane dining precinct which is huge now - wish we’d know about it earlier! Biggest Nutella dispenser you’ve seen at breaky buffet. Great location for shopping and easy to get to from southern cross station.

Our stay at Novotel Central

I enjoyed my stay. Great location to explore Melbourne. Close proximity to transport. Plenty eateries in the area. Enjoyed the breakfast options in the hotel. Receptionist lent us a charger as we had forgotten ours. Definitely appreciated the service.

Great room and great location

Was a lovely week at this Hotel and Melbourne alone! Location speaks for itself with how accessible everything is. Loved my stay, loved the room, homely and most importantly, I always looked forward coming back to my room to retire for the night. Definitely coming back again and staying with yous! Simply the best!!!!

There was no lobby/lounge/bar area to relax in and meet up with fellow travellers.

Great location as its very central with lost of eating options. The hotel service was amazing, they allowed us to check in and check out late (for a very small fee). The staff are amazing and very helpful.

The location of the hotel is very good for dining options. The quality of the food & beverages within the hotel are lacking.

Great friendly staff with well maintained rooms and location is perfect for easy walking distance to CBD points of interest. The Buffet breakfast was a little underwhelming with limited variety but great cafe's and restaurants right outside.

Honestly had a great stay at the Novotel Melbourne central. Great location, great room and even got “guest of the day” which was such a special touch. 10/10 recommend.

Location is very central, next to everything, fantastic dinner options and cafe options right on your door. Step. Cleanliness, superb, and room is luxurious. Highly recommend this hotel.

Not for the business traveler.

This hotel is definitely not geared to the business traveler. The room I stayed in didn’t even have a desk, and the staff, while very courteous about it, weren’t able to find any solutions to my predicament. The check in process took nearly 40 minutes while two check-in stations struggled to check in a contingent of tourists ahead of me, which made me late for the business dinner I was attending. Not likely to book this hotel again if I can help it.

Overall a very good place to stay while going to the Australian Open

The location was spot on, handy to get a tram and get around Melbourne CBD. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. Could do with a little two seater dining so that when you order in you don’t have to sit on the bed to eat your dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great position to Hardware lane

Good location, easy access to restaurants and shopping centre.

We stayed 2night over the weekend. The location is convenient close to shppingall and trains and trams. The service quite good. But this hotel has combined hotel (Novotel and Ibis) so check in and out area sometimes busy. The room is newly renovated but our bathroom sliding door doesn't have lock that is bit untreated. Overall it was nice stay.

James Concierge was helpful and friendly

located in CBD, surrounded by resto and cafe, walk to Emporium Shopping centre and QV Market. Lengthy check in.

The reception staff was great n friendly. The restaurant had limited supply of food for those late risers n there's no one to make you an extra fried egg when the ones there had run out. The fresh fruit juicer was great. I would book it again in next visit to Melb.

Good central location. Incompetent staff, took more than half an hour to check in 5 rooms, which were already prepaid. 3 staff members at the reception were trying to check in our group and were very lost at what they were doing. They kept on asking on providing photo id numerous times of the same person that was already checked by another reception staff. We asked for a late check out for a fee but were refused with explanation that the hotel is at the full occupancy. I did check the availability on line and there were rooms available of the same configuration for $220 per room per night. Very unpleasant experience when the staff is incapable or not trained for the job.

I found the room to be compact (but not too small...) but of excellent quality The furnishings and fittings were of high quality, great bed, love the shower! Very convenient location...amd great value for money.

Great Hotel with Great Staff in Great Location

The location of this hotel is centrally located to many restaurants and shopping area. The room size is very good and cleanliness is superb. The receptionist was very accommodating and customer oriented. We arrived in the hotel at 9am due to our early flight arrival and we were given one out of the two rooms I have booked instead of letting us wait for the standard check-in time at 2pm. I wish remember the name of the lady in the reception. I will definitely go back to this hotel whenever I am in Melbourne.

The location of property is down a busy tight lane with no parking. The room itself was small and tight for 3 people (2 adults and a child) There is no “in room guide” as such to hotel services or facilities, the option on our tv was a blank screen, so we could not see any features of the hotel. The in room dining (room service) was limited and we chose Uber eats over this option. I spoke to the concierge about booking parking as I was hiring a car on the Saturday and they stated it wasn’t required to book and I would be fine to bring it in, when I arrived with the car 24 hours later I was turned away and had to find other parking, which, as a tourist in an unknown city was stressful and time consuming and blocks away, when I vented my frustration to the concierge he just shrugged it off as if it was my fault. The rooms are not quiet and you can hear your neighbours coming and going. Overall this hotel would be fine for a business trip but it’s stressful and unaccommodating for young families, and I wish I had someone tell me this prior.

I didn’t like the lift as it took a while. I didn’t like the front desk during checkout as staff didn’t handle well as I requested late checkout at 5pm with an agreement of charging additional $100/ , then staff wanted to charge full day . Then I pushed have to push back as it was agreed during checking in. I liked the concierge’s staff as they are very helpful and friendly.

Comfortable Hotel

Very Comfortable room, slept well in the Bed, very Clean. Reception friendly and helpful, the restaurant was ok with the $25 vouchers provided by the hotel, wouldn't be worth the none discount amount, too expensive at night for the type of restaurant it is, staff were friendly though. Overall, a good Hotel to stay at for the week we were there.

Over all the stay was pleasent jut one thing keeps me bothering that in room there was tea and coffee set up but no water bottel, I called reception and was told water for coffee and tea will cost extra or otherwise use the water from the toilet tap ( seriously wat a disgrace).

Lovely place to stay staff are all nice a credit to Melbourne

Property is well positioned with nice modern rooms. Check in/Check out is not very efficient - There are "2" motels servicing the one area. Multiple times, as we came back and forth, the lobby was full of airline cabin crews checking in and/or checking out, had to navigate through 20 each time.

Close to shopping destinations and transport. Breakfast was fantastic and rooms were clean. We had two double beds which were comfortable. Staff were friendly and offered two free drinks on arrival.

Very happy with choice...

I spent a lot of time researching where to stay and was very happy with this choice. I had a Deluxe room which was huge and I loved sitting at the window couches and looking out at the view. Great location out of the busy area and right next to Hardware Lane which was great for food/drink/people watching. Easy walk to the attractions. Also, very friendly front desk even when it was very busy.

Overall is excellent. However the bar and restaurant menu need improvement. Require more variation from entree, main course as well as dessert. The Bar needs to open all the time especially during the day. Thank you

Pillows wear comfortable

Room was comfortable and well fitted out. Check-in was terrible: staff were friendly, but there were too few, especially to deal with difficult cases. We were third in the queue and took 20min to check in - or so it felt.

the Hotel is a great place to stay and staff friendly. Central location and generally great rooms.

Great hotel with super staff located close to transport options, shopping, and food options.

It was such a beautiful and well-spaced room, I full points for the hospitality of the staff from the reception to room dining; so friendly and quick in service. The only downside was locating the hotel since it's in an alley that is sort of busy so it's hard to find, but the property and its facilities were worth the money.

The property was centrally located close to transport, wide range of eating options. Over all a great break.

Amazing! and Utmost cleaness!

Booked the botel room for 4D3N, Cannot image that our room was checkin by another guest on our 2nd day of stay. The new guest apparently access our room. Housekeeping never bother to change the towel even u leave on the sink. Contacted the reception at 10pm and they will change shortly. At 1110pm, contacted them and was told that Housekeeping is off duty🤔

Just a nice clean hotel close to everything
