Great staff
A warm and comfortable bed on a cold night. Room was tired and needed a repaint or at least a deep clean. There were tea stains on the wall, as well as general marks from years of wear and tear. The TV and channels were from around 1999. Needs an upgrade in general. But the most important thing is that i had a warm and comfortable bed.
An ok stay, not a usual standard of Novotel though
The location is quite convenient for the football and the motorway. The breakfast was nice, the pancake maker was great! The bread and sausages also really nice, no other egg choice than scrambled. The breakfast person was not particularly suited to customer service. The bar staff however were lovely and friendly. We ordered food at 9pm and took it to our room but they coyld drliver for £5. The room was clean and spacious, with a big bed and a single. I'd paid more for the extra bed for my son but the bed wasn't made up, the receptionist had to do it as there was no housekeeping or maintenance at 3pm on Saturday. I offered but she did it when we wete out. She said it has to be requested at booking (no mention of that on the site) but surely if I've paid extra for the extra bed I want to use it. Anyway, problem resolved. No information given about any hotel services or restaurant times at check in or in our room that we could find. I'd called the day before to check we could have breakfast brought to the room and they'd said yes but the receptionist said they didn't offer breakfast room service. If I needed to contact reception I just called the hotel as there were no instructions in the room. The gym looked really nice and modern and the parking easy enough, you just register at check in. Overall it was a nice enough stay and I'd stay again if needed.
It was fantastic, enjoyed my stay. No cap
Walls and carpets in the room were stained, there was no soap or shower gel in the bathroom, disappointing tbh
Good overnight stay, room spacious & clean.
A
Friendly helpful staff. Good quality accommodation. Value for money.
Mold in bathroom
Not happy
Key card failed to work multiple times, necessitating walking all the way to reception each time for a reset. Frustrating!
Expensive
Thought the Novotel was very overpriced for what we received! The pull out bed was seriously uncomfortable! It really isn't a bed by anyone's imagination! For that reason alone I wouldn't choose this again. Saying that though reception staff were lovely and helpful and housekeeping good, but we've stayed in much cheaper competitors accommodation with much better put up/single beds.
Walls and carpets were very marked and stained. Bed was good and comfy.
Fantastic helpful staff, food dinner and breakfast was excellent quality, room's nice and clean and modern just common area carpets are pretty dirty. Staff are wonderful and extremely helpful.
Parking isn’t free. Large clean room
Pleasantly surprised
Very pleasant stay... Clean tidy warm, comfy bed lovely shower, polite staff and a great choice at breakfast.. What more can you ask for
Hotel is fine. The bar and food areas are ok . The rooms are large, firm bed, lots of pillows, plenty of towels, iron and kettke in room. Decent shower. Carpets need replacing. No real public transport links , nearest bus is a ten minute walk. No shops nearby. If you drive its fine as its very close to the motorway. No HDMI slots worked on the TV. Windows are a bit draughty. Lots of noise from the floor above late at night that went on for an hour or two. Some of the staff were new. One didnt know what almost any of the drinks in the bar were and another dished out one sachet everytime when you asked for some coffee for the room. The breakfasts were good. Plenty of everything. Would stay again at the right price although walk ins can be very expensive.
Easy to find, just off M6. Comfy rooms with separate shower room and separate toilet. Modern decor, comfy beds, wardrobe space and desk and seating area. Good WiFi. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking is £6 a night which I begrudge! Good choice of food and drinks in the bar/restaurant and great breakfast. Have stayed a few times for work and would definitely stay again.
Satisfied
An average hotel. The value of its Services and facilities is reflected in its affordable rates.
The hotel was very average.
Friendly welcoming staff Room spotless and bed comfortable Shower was great
Excellent value. The only negative is having to pay and extra £10.00 per hour if you wanted early check-in.
First room I was allocated smelled of cigarettes guests are clearly smoking in the rooms and nothing is being done about it
Ignoring requests for alone women on a higher floor and instead putting them on the ground floor. Got to my room and the door was propped open, the bed had been laid on. This was right at the end next to a door to outside. Felt VERY unsafe. At first was denied a room change as they were “full”. Multiple people at reception all complaining. Do not stay here.
Ok
Good customer service.
The hotel was very good the staff very helpful ,sadly on the visit the evening food service was poor ,the breakfast was excellent
All good
All good. Easy to check in and easy to find.
very good staff
Good stay hotel
Having stayed a couple of weeks ago had no hesitation in staying again room was clean had great night sleep breakfast was good a lot to chose from staff very helpful especially young lady on reception overall a good stay and will be back soon so thank you all at the hotel
This hotel is tired and unloved. Carpets and upholstery were very dirty with unpleasant stains. There were several burn holes and marks on floor and surfaces.
Hotels was great. Hotels.com is terrible since it moved to onekey
the double beds are uncomfortable. there is literally a gab right in the middle
Great stay
Lovely room and very comfortable night sleep
Having lived in the area for several years I have never had to use the hotel before. The hotel was convenient for our needs and I must say I was very impressed. The rooms were tidy ,with all the usual facilities that we needed. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful, polite and informative about restaurants etc in the area. If I had one criticism of the hotel it would be the corridor carpets are looking dated and could do with replacing otherwise very impressed by the hotel .
Good staff and service. Good experience overall.
Good location. Reception staff friendly. Clean hotel.
Stay away
If you are looking for a good night sleep, stay very far away from this place. Very noisey. Noisey corridors with cleaners shouting across the hallway at 8am. Very dated, a renovation is very very overdue.
Value and excellent staff
Nice staff
A great stay
The stay was great until the fire alarm had gone off at 3 on the morning, there was no procedure for that as everyone was standing in the building and the staff hadnt informed anyone what to do and where to go. Other than that the stay was great.
Clean and modern hotel, a comfortable overnight stay, would definitely use this hotel again if in the area in the future.
Let down.
Receptionist pleasant enough, the room however was a major let down for the £110 paid. My 4 year old son got hold of some rubbish under the bed which had not cleared before we got there. Some small pieces of bubble wrap which thankfully my 1 year old daughter didnt get hold off!! Followed by an empty 1lt bottle of juice drink and a silicon wrist band. Such a poor level of cleaning to start with, which made us feel like the room was dirty and not been cleaned, let alone my annoyoce that our daughter could have swollowed the bubble wrap if we were not paying attention. There was dust everywhere including the glass shelving in the wardrobe next to the tea and coffee tray, which again made it feel dirty. The iron burn mark upon entering on the carpet, the bathroom silicon was showing mould, the walls where grubby particularly inside the seperate toilet room. The television remote was not working with the TV either. The bed was comfortable enough and the sheets felt and looked clean. We were very tired and if I am honest as it was only the one night stay, we just slept and got up and left asap in the morning but we were pretty disgusted. Everything beyond the reception area looks so tired and run down. The car park and hotel outside area looks unkept and first impressions were poor at best. Not impressed by this hotel chain that I once considered to be respectable and wished I had booked somewhere else.
The hallway was very dirty and had a misty and mould smell
Manager was rude
Visited and asked for a different room front reception decided they would sort it,manager came over and shouted at the employee making her feel uncomfortable, manager complained saying it was fully booked where as reception had said they had rooms available, manager was very rude to staff and definitely shouldn’t be managing a place like Novotel speaking to his staff in such a disrespectful manner.
Fire alarm at 3am, for an hour as the fire alarm could not be reset.
Great visit to Coventry
Fantastic as usual. Love this place.
Arrived at hotel late, noticed in the morning the fire alarm in bedroom was covered with a plastic bag! Major health and safety issue!
Staff were excellent. Room was little dusty round window. Shower pressure wasnt the best. In places could feel springs in mattress, but actually slept very well
Ok stay
Hotel was fine, dinner menu did leave some room for desire, the menu just didn’t really seem very cohesive.
Brilliant stay for the weekend. Free parking, lovely breakfast & evening meal. Comfortable bed, iron & hairdryer if needed. Very clean
Convenient stopping off point on M6
Welcome stopping point just off the M6 motorway. Updated decor throughout makes it a very pleasant and comfortable stay. However the stairwells reveal the age of the building and needs a lick of paint.
We had a lovely stay here last minute booking Staff were super friendly. Very kind and nothing to much trouble Rooms were all very stylish and comfortable . Great evening to sit out in the garden and dine. The lady on the bar was very helpful and chatty and a great addition to your team
Helpful staff clean room and onsite parking.
Good
Worst carpets ive seen in a long while
Very tired looking. Especially carpets. Recommendation to Hotel. Please rip out all you carpets and freshen them up. And advise you cleaners to stop staining the carpets in the passage with bleach. There were dots everywhere. The breakfast room was especially dirty
Super comfortable beds which we loved !
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only one teabag in the room so had to ask for more which was fine. The building seems quite outdated. The restaurant food was good! Very easy to access off the motorway and quiet.
Not recommended
So far the worst stay we had considering it is a novotel. We always prefer to stay in novotel during our holidays for the last 10 years but this one is an exemption. The first room was dirty, fair enough they transferred us to a different room but still dirty and sofa bed for the kids wasn’t made. Few minutes after settling in the room a couple opened our hotel door, maybe a double booking. Went to the reception loads of times to remind them about the beddings for the sofa bed and said they will sort it out but never came until 10 pm when they decided to to give us the linens and the kids are already sleeping and were waken up considering we had a long day and travelled for 4 hours. Not to mention hearing few knocks on the door and someone even tried to open the door knob. Due to our frustrations we left the hotel first thing in the morning.
Don't be put off by front view
Quick overnight stop on way to Woburn. Not greatest of looking buildings, but once inside you don't see that. And what looked like a nice garden at the rear. Friendly and efficient check in. Separate bathroom and toilet unusual for these days but worked quite well. Reasonably convenient to M6.
the staff where amazing so welcoming and beautiful. easy access from the m1 and not to far from city plenty of ubers to use to get into town £10-£14 cost hardly any think if sharing a taxi but do have every think you need in the hotel.
Thin walls, hear everything
Checked in and was given an envelope with our room key, however this room was occupied by someone else (the key worked though!). We were given a second room but were unfortunately in a room with an adjoining door; next door was a family having an argument so we asked to move again. Third room was ok but we had no housekeeping so the second night we noticed that the room was not tidied, made up or new towels/toiletries given.
Bad experience
The room they gave me they said is superior room but that room is not superior its very with family of four to adjust in that kind of room i have word with them they said its not our fault its expedia fault they mention abt superior room if u visit our websites we never mention its superior room that just normal room tey said so i dont know whats going on this Hotel Industry they just want remove your skin nothing else.....
Check in was okay and hotel was very clear. When the bedsheets were changed, they smelt like damp and also had bites on legs but all windows were closed
Very good!
Room smelt of gas. No tv remote either. But clean and comfortable.
Very friendly staff
Hmmmm
Parking ok But dirty stained bedsheets - also stuck hair
Enjoyed our stay
Great. Friendly staff. Prompt service.
Breakfast not very hot
Stayed here for one night for business. The bed was comfy and had on-sight parking. My room however absolutely stunk of cannabis. I had a conference the next day which is not ideal as then I was paranoid my clothes would smell of it when meeting customers. I let the man on reception know and he said there was one room I could move too but this ended up getting booked. I would have appreciated an offer to come and spray the room or something. Wouldn’t stay here again.
.
Modern hotel with a good breakfast and discounted parking if you are staying at the hotel. Some areas in the bedroom were tired but it was clean and comfortable 😊 Every staff member I came across was friendly and polite.
The hotel was very clean and the food was good, would definitely stay there again
I paid for a supierior room with a queen bed. It was a bog standard room with a king bed. The quilt cover had rips in it. The carpet was stained the walls were dirty. I had to pay extra for staying in the carpark which wasnt advertised anywhere online or around the carpark or hotel. I called for room service and they wanted to charge again obviously i knew i had to pay for the food but this was an extra charge. I went out for a smoke quite late and sat in my car and witnessed a lad trying to gain access to cars in the carpark. I reported it and the guys went outside to see if they could find him. Later he was back with 4 friends. I didnt feel safe to be honest. If it wasnt for the fact that i was staying here for a wedding near by and the fact that id used all the money i had on this hotel i wouldnt have stayed here. I would have stayed else where. When i raised about the room, bed, cleanliness to reception she replied well you was miss sold the room cause they are all standard rooms and king beds, and the room is what it is. I have never stayed anywhere where they have this attitude and normally will do what they can to help resolve the issue. Very dissapointed
was good
.
Lovely stay, large room with blackout curtains & comfy bed. will definitely be using Novotel again
Wrongly selling customers for parking
On arrival, couldn’t find my booking. Took the receptionist 10 minutes to search. Then passed me to his colleague who found me. Then insisted I type in my email for parking and sign up to Accor Hotels as this would validate my parking or id be fined & £100 but I advised I’d already validated my parking with typing in my registration to the app available on the counter. He still insisted I sign up to validate which I still didn’t agree with based on not wanting to do this. I felt quite uncomfortable to be honest after advising him he was wrong on numerous occasions. I will be raising a complaint to Novotel direct as well, as I believe this is not compliant with GDPR rules and also cross selling products that are false. Not a fan of this attitude nor respect towards there clients I wasn’t the only one to be told this either. Other people were also made to do this.
Staff we're very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice. The location is very accessible from major roads. Food was pretty good
Overall good experience.
Faddika at the front desk was very helpful. I appreciate how helpful he was.
Take ear plugs
Bed was comfy, staff were lovely, walls are way too thin! I was woken up throughout the morning from 5am from hearing full conversations from other rooms, dogs barking and people making tea (that’s how thin the walls are!). Also could hear the extremely vocal couple having a wonderful time at night lol. If you couldn’t hear every tiny movement it would be a great place for a stay over.
Great hotel, lovely staff
Lovely hotel, easy reach from motorway. Staff helpful and attentive. Food good and open bar. Lift is a little scary, tight and bumpy.
Staff were excellent and my definitely give a huge thumbs up to Riza for getting us sorted for an early check-in, very much appreciated.
Great stay, everything I needed 😄
Very clean and well maintained with friendly staff and great breakfast options, nice bar and meal options, would be happy to return 😀
Room was lovely hotel staff were lovely
Highly recommended
Lovley modern spacious room , with lovley bathroom facilities plus arriving late it was a warm welcome from the reception staff plus the added bonus of having food available & bar open which has become a rare opportunity
Conveniently located for the M6 and Coventry, nice hotel, good rooms, great beds and very clean throughout. Also does a good buffet breakfast too
Only I wish I did was stay longer
Had to pay extra to park. Shower did not drain very well so the tray filled with water.
Fantastic
One of the most comfortable Hotels i have stayed considering i suffer back problems. I Love the shower room love the idea toilet is separately.
Comfortable nights sleep
We had booked a twin room but it hadn’t been added to the system but the receptionist got us allocated to a twin pretty quickly. Room was very comfortable, beds a really nice balance between soft and firm - super comfortable. Considering it’s by the motorway we couldn’t hear anything with the windows closed and between that, the blackout curtains and the air con it made for a really good nights sleep - would definitely stay again!
Clean and good facilities for a place to stay after a night out. Breakfast was great!
Met by a smiling receptionist. Check in was quick. Room clean and comfortable and surprisingly quiet.
Lovely hotel and very helpful friendly staff, it’s fantastic being dog friendly too. Only thing that lets it down is the food from the restaurant. Paid £11.25 for a pizza that tasted like a £5 frozen pizza from a supermarket, and had to wait over 30minutes for it.
.
Was a lovely hotel and everything was so clean and welcoming. The only problem was my door didn’t lock all the way but did lock half way. Other then that was amazing
