Nice hotel. Underground metro not good - too few stations
Nice and clean hotel in a very good location. Breakfast is just ok. Room is a bit too warm, temperature control doesn’t seem to be working.
I’ll come back
The hotel is in a very good location. The crew are nice and kind. The hotel restaurant is good and the price was fair.
It was just ok. It had been a while since i had a hotel room with an inexplicable bathroom outside of the shower/sink bathroom. Location was good, but i wouldnt call this a luxury stay, just a place to stay while you explore Romania.
Good quality hotel
Lovely hotel, great rooms with comfortable beds with all the facilities needed. Room was a bit warm and struggled to keep it cool. Staff were very friendly at reception and in the bar. Would definitely use again
Awesome! It’s been the 3rd time at this hotel and it never disappoints. Walking distance to the Old town area. 10 out of 10.
Centrally located, within a few minutes from the historical Old Town and the buzzing high street with restaurants and bars. Nice and welcoming staff, ready and willing to assist. As expected, the hotel at this time of the year was busier than normal and that must have had an impact on the room service as that was inconsistent. Apart from that, happy with the overall service and was pleased to see that they had "Rituals" shampoo and shower gel in the room, that was definitely a plus.
The hotel was really well situated in good walking distance to the old town and a huge choice of restaurants. The food and drinks in hotel were excellent, we ate meals in there two nights as it was so good.
Excelent
Everything went perfect!
In generally, it was Good and the hotel it’s comfortable and the people nice
Really central location, perfect for what we needed as a family of 4. Help ful staff, that also helped arranged airport transfers for a smooth trip
A/C not adequate, and without windows that open, the room was very stuffy and hot. Only 2 outlets in the room, one of which was across from the beds. There should be at least one outlet next to each bed.
Great location.
Very good
Felt as if I was in the heart of the city; thereby draw-back of taking a long time to transfer to and from airport (because of traffic) though realise you can't do much about that. Would still visit again if I come back to Romania
Busy and noisy.
Excelent location on nice place.
Excelent location. Walking distance from major Bucharest tourist places, restaurants and coffes. Nice cosy place. Good breakfast and very good attention.
My stay at Novotel Bucharest
The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The room itself was nice and clean. It was a little weird that the toilet doesn’t have a sink and is separated from the bathroom but we got used to that. The breakfast was great. The only downside to the hotel was the WiFi which was slow and tended to disconnect a lot.
Good location, old and dirty rooms
Old furniture and upholstery with many stains on carpeted floor. A/C wasn't working well and the room was very hot. Staff are not hospitable.. the only positive point is location.
i like the services and the staff. Everything was very good.
Decent stay
The staff wasn’t very friendly. Not unkind or rude, just not friendly. We were disappointed upon arrival as we had requested adjoined rooms or at least rooms near each other when we made the reservation. We were given rooms on different floors. I had also called the day before to confirm and they said it would be possible. So that was a disappointment for our family.
GREAT LOCATION
This hotel was in the perfect location. So close to restaurants and Bars within a few minutes walk. Would definitely book again
Would stay here again!
This is our second stay and we love the central location. The staff is great and the breakfast is good. The pool could be better.
Perfect location. Surprising there's no one to help w luggage.
All is ok
Air conditioning was poor.
Lovely location, but the bedroom, bathroom is tiny… one more thing to note the mini bar checker came early in the morning without knocking to enter the room to check the bar very strange.
The toilets had no sink to wash hands
Friendly, knowledgeable staff
Great location, fantastic breakfast, courteous service!
It was very convenient to meet tour company puck up point where is 5 min walk.
We stayed intially in the junior suite which was spacious, quite stylish and included a free mini bar. Our initial room had shown as being cleaned on the hotel system but in fact it hadnt but we were moved swiftly and compensated with complimentary drinks by a very efficient and pleasant member of staff. Due to availability we subsequently stayed in an executive room on the top floor. It has a more restricted free mini bar and a large smart tv and was quiet but felt a little more cramped as were spoiled by the suite. the hotel is in a superb central location close to the Old Town but in a quieter area close to cafes and convenience stores and the common areas including the bar are impressive and contemporary
The only thing to be inproved is the restaurant big time. Especially the service, it was awful ........ there were only two waiters, one had a good service and was properly dressed as a waiter. The other one had a tshirt and jeans - he also appears to be the boss, this person had no skills for service, he even threw the dishes with our food, and left ..... the menu was also poor. Do NOT order the club sanwich. That dish has nothing about a club sanwich. It is more like a chicken breast sandwich. This hotel have to improve big time the service of the restaurant.
Clean, spacious rooms, excellent breakfast, located in the heart of Bucharest! Will return!
Everything
The locker room was left open and we could walk in to collect our bags without anyone checking our tickets or which bags we collected; very unsafe!
While we would likely stay here again because of the great location and a few other factors, the poor hospitality when we checked in and the lack of assistance when we needed some information about where to go after I had been injured (not at the hotel) was off-putting. It makes the hotel come off like a no-frills airline, when the price and the location indicate that the level of service should be at least mid-range. As others have mentioned, the lighting in the bathroom is very poor, and the strange arrangement of having the WC around the corner from the rest of the bathroom is not just odd but inconvenient. Adding a washing-up sink to the WC would make all the difference. The housekeeping staff was great, providing extra towels when requested, making up the room early each day, and bringing me a wonderful sack of ice for the aforementioned injury. The room was always tidy and they were pleasant in the hallways. Overall, good, but don't expect a top-notch experience.
Great hotel whereby you can walk to everything! Staff was very helpful!
marian
Perfect location, helpful staff and very good breakfast
Great location.
Standard hotel nothing to complain about
Hotel room little dated and beds not the comfiest but nothing to complain about Pool isn't a full size for lengths but kids enjoyed it
Property centrally located, easy walk everywhere. I was refused an early check-in without an extra fee. For the price and number of stars room was very weird. Toilet was separate but no sink to wash your hands. No toiletries except soap and shampoo, expecting more from a 4* hotel. Restaurant had basic bland food. Not one Romanian dish on the menu.
Novotel is always the option
Hotel is good but pricey for what it is! Great location , has parking, and a 6/10 breakfast ! Not bad !
Novotel bucharest
Fantastic stay as normal at the Novotel. Breakfast experience could be improved with possibly a hotplate station where they make fresh eggs/ omelettes and pancakes. Not always a choice for everyone.
Rude breakfast co-ordinator on shift 28/11
The rooms were comfortable, just the bathroom had some old mould in the shower and lime scale in the toilet. Staff were kind and helpful apart of the co-ordinator lady in the breakfast who interrupted my meal in a very rude away saying I have to move as that table was for a group. No sign in the table (it was put on after I left) and my husband and I left the breakfast and the table was still empty. It was on 28/11 and unfortunately I couldn't get her name to report her. She doesn't fit with hotel.
The hotel was lovely and the breakfast was outstanding. The location was perfect to walk to the old town, restaurants and shops. The only thing I did not like was the cost of the rooms - they are very very expensive for Bucharest and felt like I was overcharged for a nice but basic room.
More like a glorified 3 star hotel
Novotel might have been a 4 star hotel in its glory day, but it is not that any more. The room was run down, with old fittings and furniture and in need of a very good scrub. The toilet tank made a constant noise so we had to keep the door shut. The floor around the toilet brush and the toilet wall was dirty and stained. The floor in the room was bleach stained. I booked two rooms for two people each but there was just one pair of slippers in each. We asked for an iron and got one with a broken handle secured with tape. I had to ask for the beds to be made again because they didn't have the foot cover on, the being had fold creases, and i wasn't convinced yet we're newly done. There are signs everywhere about fines you'll pay if you break stuff or steal towels, which makes it very unwelcoming. Each time i called reception it took at least 10 minutes until someone picked up.
Close and convenient. Location was perfect! Did not like the room set up. Bathroom was very difficult to navigate.
The Novotel exceeded expectations.
Great location and services
We asked for 2 rooms nearby but they put us on different floors although we made 1 reservation. The man at the reception wasn't nice at all. Beside this the hotel was great. Breakfast was very good the room is great
Amazing location downtown Bucharest. Walk distance to everything
Everything is outstanding
This was a wonderfully central location in the city! Would stay here with family again!
Was super pleased to be given a room as we arrived earlier than the checkin time. Good size suite with bath tub and separate shower. Separate toilet (a little pokey). Small pool facility and massage in wellness centre used. Struggled a little with a lack of info regarding hours of facilities and even check out time. And staff are often busy at desk. Good location for easy access to old town and restaurants nearby. Ensure you prebook taxi cab 24 hours in advance. It cost us far more calling on the day and by paying driver direct. Plus two staff said 100lei but it was 199 with airport charges. Very inconvenient.
We traveled back and forth out of Bucharest for three weeks. We stayed at the Novotel City Center Bucharest 6 nights total on four different occasions during a three week trip. We stayed at all Kinds of hotels and this particular hotel was by far the best!!! I told the front reception this after we had a much different experience at other hotels. Their breakfast is fresh, an offered honey from the comb and fresh produce from locals. The Winestone for dinner was delicious as well. Highly recommended!!
Excellent
Everything was great. The Thaico Spa is a bonus
Hotel is conveniently located in city centre. Front desk team was generally helpful. The room came with good toiletries from Rituals. But the room is a bit small. The bed is small and lumpy, with soft pillows. Ok for a one-night stay on a budget.
Bad beds
Mattresses were very thin and worn with dips in the centre of both our mattresses. We complained to reception who offered us another room to check, but when we entered this room someone else had already checked in! The mattresses were the worst thing, we have a video of a bottle that rolls to the centre of the bed where the dip is, that's how deep it was. Very uncomfortable stay. Hotels.com provided compensation. We visit Radisson Blue not far away from this location for some Spa treatment and the hotel looked far better. Avoid this hotel if you want a good night sleep, otherwise everything else was mostly fine and the location was great
Beautiful property, breakfast was very very good
Nice hotel, conveniently located, staff very attentive and responsive. Avoid last floor, the A/C is not enough during hot days. Also, the mini- fridge in the room is more for decoration, don’t rely on it at all if you want some cold beverages. Overall I would still recommend this hotel, if you don’t mind the things mentioned previously.
This our new go-to spot in Bucharest! Great location and nice, clean rooms. Staff is helpful and friendly.
The hotel is really well located in the city centre, close to Revolution Square and the old town. The breakfast is very good, the small pool a luxury and the staff is friendly. However, the bed our 2 children got was very small and the y never replied to my previous emails. All in all, it was a pleasurable stay.
Family weekend in Novotel bucharest
Great location in the city center and next to the old city. Clean, quiet, good breakfast. Good for famalies. Pool is small and not so welcome
location
Convenient and comfortable
A good one! The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly and nice..the only downside is that the toilet is located in a different place away from the shower and toilet sink. The location of the hotel is great.
Good location. And nice staff
Good location. And nice staff
Good
The place is perfect. Receptionist - friendly. Breakfast and restoration - excellent. The room cleaning - very low level.
Great hotel
Great location, comfortable, clean, good facilities, excellent staff.
Great hotel in great location
We travel to Bucharest frequently and of all the hotels we used, I prefer Novotel. Great location, modern hotel, loads of great facilities (restaurant, spa, gym, parking etc), accessible as using a wheelchair/ reduced mobility. We really enjoyed our stay and we will come again.
Visiting Romania from England
This hotel is in a great location to explore Bucharest, we stayed for 4 nights, a little issue on the first night with no bedding for our sons sofa bed, but this was sorted out, and it was all good from then on. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, with lots to choose from. We found the room clean and comfortable, so overall a great place to stay, would stay again for sure.
We stayed at this property during our visit to Bucharest for a conference. The location of the property is excellent. It is clean and the breakfast is good.
Satisfaction
Very good and pleasant experience
Location Location Location >> excellent ... The hotel is reasonable especially for the paid price ... recommended as a four stars hotel.
Nice hotel close to Old Town Bucharest
Very nice place in central Bucharest close to old town and all the clubs there. Hotel was clean and staff is very kind I will come again for sure :)
Great food, clean and quite
Beautiful hotel
I used to stay at Radisson blue few blocks down but their rates triple in the last year. I found Novotel to be a very nice and clean place right in the middle of the action, close to nice restaurants and walking distance to old Town. Recommended.
Nos imaginábamos una mejor atención pero hasta para pedir agua nos pusieron peros . Nunca botaron la basura de la cesta del baño y las habitaciones se mantuvieron calientes a pesar del aire acondicionado estar encendido .
Pleasant stay
Nice hotel and great location
Very good conditions, reasonable pricing, especially for a hotel in the heart of an European capital. Superb breakfast. The room was a little small but again, not bad for a downtown hotel. Satisfied.
Really nice hotel. The only complaint is that the fridge kept making knocking noises all night.
Excellent property, calm room, excellent pool and spa.
Fantastic hotel! I highly recommend it as it is exceptionally clean, modern and is located in one of best location. Never dispointed while staying at Novotel.
Friendly staff and atmosphere, cleanliness of the room, location.
Location was excellent I dowgraded one of our rooms and was told there was no price difference on my favor. In the price list you could see clarely that it was. I reserved with breakfast included and it was not.
Very clean friendly and in great location
A very enjoyable city break in a fantastic hotel
We had the pleasure of a 4 night stay in a junior suite with front street views. The hotel and room were comfortable and warm. The cleanliness was excellent. While the mattress ilon the bed was slightly softer than I normally use that did not take from the extremely spacious and modern room. The location was perfect on the edge of the old town and within walking distance of every tourist spot in the city. The breakfast was good and you could eat from 7am to 11am. The pool is small but very welcome nonetheless. The price was great value for money. This hotel greatly contributed to our very enjoyable stay in this amazing city.
Staying at Novotel, Bucharest, Calea Victoriei
Great spacious room, very clean, very supportive staff. We had lunch in the restaurant and we were very happy, highly recommended.

Bucharest trip
Loved staying at the Novotel for our time visiting with family. Won’t stay at any other hotel. It’s handy for the old town area. Staff are all friendly. Hotel is clean and breakfasts are good.
Very convenient location!!!
Perfect location if you want to be walking distance to concert venues, museums, Old Town with restorants and souvenir shops. The rooms maybe need some update, small wardrobe, small refrigerator, but you have shower and a tub! The toilet is separate from the bathroom, but it is OK. For upgraded room you have free parking (daily rate us EUR17.00). Breakfast is very good (EUR9.00/per person), also you have a restourant in the Lobby. Fitness ok, small pool, sauna. I was on higher floor, no street noise at all. And I forgot some stuffs in my room, but hotel staff were so helpful to send them to me. Highly recommended!
Perfect hotel
Everything was perfect!!! We will sure come back to this hotel on our next trip to Bucharest!!
Perfecto location, clean room and modern hotel
Hotel staff were really helpful, great location, all very good
Amazing place
Could be better
Well... Receptionists weren't always available. Weak water flow at the shower...
great location
great location, in city center nice and clean hotel with everything you need
Novotel Bucharest City Centre | Hotel in Bucharest | Travala.com
Nice hotel with a real central location. Small pool to use, alongside gym. Rooms very large and spacious. Very walkable to all locations - FYI, pizza place across the road from hotel is top, top class.
