Long wait in reception to be checked in. Dirty big footprint on the tiles showed the floor hadn’t been mopped. Outlook on to drab construction. Nespresso machine made a super bitter horrid coffee. Room service came with out salt or pepper.

Great location near flight departures.

It was okay for an overnight stay. Bed was comfortable. The room was a good sizw. It was quiet, too, which I didn't expect as it was so close to the Airport. However, thd phone in the room didn't work.The restaurant was a little disappointingcfor me. I have Coeliac disease and I ordered the lamb dish, which was tasty, but the vegetables were cold. There was nothing for dessert that was gluten free.

Walk straight away into International terminal from the front door. Super convenient for a flight out, or a rest from a long flight in.

Great place

Perfect location for an overnight layover. 2 minutes walk from the airport. Efficient check in, clean room and excellent breakfast.

Convenience to airport and rental car companies.

I frequently alternate Novotel and its rival next door. Beds are a bit saggy. Standard rooms don’t have a coffee machine - get the premium room option if you need real coffee. Breakfast options a bit limited. But super quick check in and generous late checkouts.

Mosquitos within the orange juice machine and the only thing they say “we didn’t put them there”. Good hotel but it’s not the cleanest.

Amazing hotel. Just before for our one-night stay before an early flight. Staff and service were amazing. Facilities brilliant.

Staff weren’t that helpful

Easy to walk across from baggage claim. Rooms were clean and very new looking. Absolutely loved the suite!!!

The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff is professional and friendly. The hotel is ideally located for access to the international terminal (across the road). We enjoyed dining at the hotel and could only been improved with a patio to enjoy the exceptional weather. Would definitely stay here again while overnighting for flights.

Bathroom - to have a shower, bath was very high, about a meter, they did provide a stool, but I still found it very dangerous. It would have been nice to be told you need to use the key card to exit the lift before using it.

Amazing staff!

Incredible staff. I was travelling with my 5 year old and my 4 month old and they were just so helpful from checking us in, to helping with the bags on arrival and departure (even offering to take the bags over to check in for me which i declined but still!), to patiently explaining the whole check in, keycard, elevator process to my inquisitive daughter. I was worried about doing the trip solo with a loooot of luggage from shopping in australia (as we live in the cook islands) but they made the transit overnight seamless :)

Good hotel but shocking check in experience

I chose the online check in option as was arriving after midnite after 2 long haul flights Receptionist was rude, difficult and spoilt the whole stay.She was so slow and clearly didnt want to do any work. Wont stay here again- The Pullman next door are a far friendlier helpful staff

We found the bed comfortable and all staff were friendly and helpful. The light switches were confusing and several of the electrical outlets would not work well with our adapters since they did not have a tight connection. That made recharging our multiple devices complicated and time consuming. We did enjoy the restaurant for both dinner and lunch . The vegan/vegetarian options were delicious and appreciated.

So easy to walk over to International Airport

Arrived late into Auckland and needed a place to stay for early flight to Queenstown. Conveniently located across the street from the airport. Very clean and front desk staff was exceptionally nice.

Literally at the front door of International Terminal, but rooms were very well soundproofed.

Does not have parking. But cant beat its location when travelling esp internationally.

Location is superb

After a longhaul flight from Santiago we were given a speedy checkin and an upgrade which we were very thankful for. We had prepaid for an immediate checkin but this was a real bonus. The room was quiet and bathroom extremely clean. The added touch of complimentary water and coffee and tea facilities was very welcoming. We will have no hesitation in a revisit.

Location is excellent for late arrival or early departure from Auckland international.

Beds not attached to the wall kept getting knocked about as people manoeuvred within the room. Milk in fridge was expired and sour restaurant furnishings were already really tired looking. Staff were very kind and accommodating and made up for it, but lacking lustre.

Great place stay if you have a very early flight

Room cost a lot more than I paid anywhere else in NZ, but it was also the nicest place I stayed - albeit for less than 12 hours. It is just a couple of minutes walk to International Departures area and that justified the cost for my 06:40 departure.

I got a free upgrade to the Pullman next door. I enjoyed the meal in the restaurant

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport (literally steps!), and would have tolerated mediocre in exchange for that location, so we were very pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the hotel and our room. Very nicely appointed, very clean and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for being steps from the airport! We got a good night’s sleep and woke ready for a full day of traveling.

Excellent property! Super comfy bed and easy breezy walk to either domestic or international terminals. Great breakfast and delicious coffee!

Arrived 3am after long flight delays and found room had no drinking water. Was told to take a jug down to the gym to fill up. Pretty poor in a $300 per night room

Great location, rooms are clean and comfortable but with little to no effort to make the room experience memorable eg properly sized cups for tea and coffee and more area to make refreshments. The pump for the body wash wasn't working properly so we couldn't shower with soap. The big let down is the mediocre restaurant. Service is polite and efficient as was the front desk but food is average at best. Breakfast items were mainly lukewarm, with too many items being offered instead of fewer better ones. Auckland is world class city, so why can't the Novotel also be world class? I suggest someone from their kitchen management stay somewhere like the Shangri La in Bangkok to see how a hotel kitchen runs and creates excellent food.

Perfect for an airport hotel

Arrived very late due to a long flight delay-greeted by a very friendly member of staff and checked in quickly. Great stay, very clean room and was perfect for us! Checking out-we asked a question and the member of staff was brilliant-very helpful and friendly

Excellent except shower…

Great for proximity to international airport terminal. Odd shower construction ensures water all over bathroom floor and possibly carpet.

Super convenient and good gym

Excellent convenience when stumbling dead tired off an international flight. The gym wasn’t as nice as Pullman, but still very good. Great job on sustainability.

Good but dissappointing in equal measure

A convenient airport hotel for an overnight between flights. Good room and food. However I was dissappointed and somewhat surprised that 100 dollars was taken from my card on checkin - 'for incidentals' they said. Actually taking money from my account rather than just using the card as security for 'incidentals' is a first anywhere for me. I have used Accor/Novotel hotels elsewhere with this happening. A refund would then take 2-3 days they said. I find this policy disconcerting and left me with a bad impression of Auckland Airport Novotel

Stayed the night before a flight. The hotel was incredibly convenient to the international terminal and a short 10 minute walk from the domestic terminal. The restaurant was great. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. Additionally, the staff was incredibly friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for close accommodations to the airport.

Excellent location and smart room design

Everything about this stay was excellent! Check-in took a minute, about the same amount of time it took to reach the hotel from international arrivals via the quick walk across the way. The room was sleek and clean with an intelligent layout that makes the most of the moderate room size. Shower was hot with great pressure and the tap water tastes great. Bed linens were a welcome comfort about 24hours of flying! The view of the water was a plus. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to crash or just get refreshed for the day, right at the airport.

I like it so I keep coming back

The cleaning crew could be a little More attentive. There was a pair of shorts left in our closet.

Location you couldn’t get better, the staff were helpful and efficient the room was clean my favourite was the bed and pillows, I had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time.

A very comfortable and convenient location at the airport. If you get in on a very late flight, this is the place to stay. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. It includes cook to order eggs.

So close to the airport

We booked into the Novotel Auckland Airport as we had a long flight the following day. It was only steps from the international terminal, so it couldn't have been any more convenient. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and were happy with our meals and service as well. The rooms are a bit on the small size, but more than enough space for the 2 of us and all our luggage. The room and property are in beautiful condition and everything was very clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Walkable to International Terminal

Stayed here for work, room was spacious, rooms had a desk which was very helpful! Food at the restaurant was great. Staff were just lovely and were hospitable. Would definitely stay there again :)
