This property is a hidden gem. The restaurant cooks amazing food at lunch and dinner (though the included breakfast was admittedly lackluster). The pool is perfect for kids - clean and shallow enough for our 5 and 8 year old to play safely while adults sat in lounge chairs shaded by umbrellas and a large tree. There was a very deep end too. And the private beach was clean with beautiful vistas and a sunset view. Beds were plush! (A rarity on our trip). Bathrooms and rooms are clean and simple- not the grandest, but perfectly adequate. Staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. Easily the best stay on our trip. We will return.

Good place for value

This property is off the beaten path but had security and the tourist police station is down the road. We felt safe walking as 4 adults up the road for meals and massages. We had a 2 bedroom suite. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and addressed concerns immediately. For example they turned up our hot water heater immediately upon calling as we had lukewarm water. 2k of laundry was only 200 peso. Downside is breakfast starts at 7 and the 2 tours we did picked up way before this so we missed out. Also breakfast food was cold but they heated up our plates upon request. Also disappointed that only coffe is included no tea. At low tide, the eater behind the hotel was fun to explore. Nice pool.

This property in itself is a 4.5 to 5 star. The area around the property especially at the front gate is maybe a 2.5. So stay in the compound if you really want that good vibe and enjoy what the Beachfront has to offer

***WARNING NOT SAFE 조심하세요 극도로 위험하다*** This resort is very unsafe and we were victims, either singled out or preyed upon by an employee.  He was either a peeping tom/sexual predator/thief or someone who would potentially extort us.  We are a Korean/Canadian couple.  The police and the Tourist police, Korean and Canadian Embassy have been notified.  We are also hiring a lawyer.  Both my 6 month pregnant wife and I are now suffering from PTSD due to this incident.  We were both victims of a worker who came through our 4th floor window through the ledge and opened the curtains and found us both naked.  Yes, he came through the 4th floor!!!  We were both shocked and now we are suffering through PTSD.  We had to leave early since we couldn't trust the hotel and the staff.  We felt unsafe in the Phillipines.   I was very scared.  Moreoever, the employee and hotel management didn't do anything to protect us and said that it was an accident.  They kept siding with the employee. Very common to not take responsibility. They defended the worker and they said these mistakes happen.  Thus, we filed a report with the Cebu Police and have also hired a lawyer.  We believe the employee was either looking to steal things or he was spying on us or filming us to sell overseas.  Please stay away and be very careful at these low end resorts.  It is true what they say when you have to be careful in the Phillipines.  Please be careful.  This resort also doesn't have CCTV. 

The good and the bad

The room was clean but in poor repair. The shower did not work and had luke warm water. There was a problem with the valve that changed from shower to bath, which was a weird set uo since there qas no option to have a bath in the walk in shower. The bed was relatively comfortable. There was only one putlet (for two plugs) in the whole room. They did not have an outlet in the bathroom. They even had a lamp without a place to plug in. So weird. The staff was so nice and accommadating. They got us an extension with more outlets. They got us a ride to the airport. The views were nice. The pool looked beautiful but we did not go in. The breakfast was good as well. So, i wanted to highlight the good and the bad. In my opinion the good dod not outweigh the bads unfortunately. I would try somewhere else next time.

Beautiful property but no access to beach was a real shame.

It's just an ok type of resort. Nothing special to write home about. The rooms are ok. Not really nice. Just ok. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dining options suck tho. The breakfast buffet is VERY limited on what you can eat. The dinner menu has options but not a lot. The best part of the entire resort is the pool since there isn't much of a beach. Particularly at low tide. The bathroom are really small and the shower just reeks of the smell of conditioned water. I just couldn't get the air conditioning right either. It was either to hot or to cold. What I hated the most is that NordTropic is just so isolated. You can't walk ANYWHERE. Nothing is close by. If you want to get away, you have to go by taxi or grab car. If you want other restaurant choices, again you have to drive out. There are much BETTER places in Cebu City Center. Close by everything within walking distance and in Cebu City Center, you have a lot more options.

A nice small property. Everyone working there was very nice. Place was clean. Nothing else right around the resort. A 10 minute or so walk to the main street, or other larger resorts

Awesome Staff

The room had a great view of ocean and the folding glass doors opened completely sideways to expose the entire room. Food, friendliness and service fantastic. Grounds were manicured perfectly. I stay here all the time, and will be back soon. Everything in the room works and spotless. Bed was so comfortable I had a hard time leaving the room. I can go on and on, can't say enough, and nothing to say on the contrary.

Clean and spacious condo unit. We got complimentary upgrade to sea view. Staff and service was excellent. Pool and grounds were clean and not crowded. Location is gated and not really walkable. Great stay overall!

I was astonished that cooking was not allowed unless extra fees were paid. No " News," channels on TV. Leather sofa and love chair/reclining chair had a pungent smell and old. No information posted at the lobby for local tours or waterfront beach activities. Breakfast was a great disappointment, very limited selections and amount. No stores in the immediate vicinity to buy basic items. Water beach front had debris. On the positive side, happy cheerful personnel ready to assist, quite and clean facilities, nice view of the beach. Overall satisfactory, C- on the report card.

The Nordtropic Resort is a wonderful place to stay. The service is exceptional. I was treated like family. The rooms are lovely. The view of the beach from the balcony is spectacular. I enjoyed interacting with locals nearby and watching fishermen come and go daily. The chefs are outstanding and food affordable. I never left the resort to eat elsewhere, it was all so delicious and made with detail to match my preferences requested. I look forward to returning and bringing my daughter to explore more and play with the local kids. As an educator and author working from home online, the Nordtropic is exactly what I needed. This place was very clean, the staff were all very nice and friendly, it was quiet and comfortable. The only negative was all the house rules, it had cooking facilities, but would cost 1000 pesos to use, if you brought a 300 peso bottle of wine, you have to pay 1000 pesos to take it to your room as well as an additional 1000 pesos for any food you bring. I have stayed at many resorts and never experienced that, but the food in the restaurant was excellent, but the breakfast could use improvement. But all in all we had a good experience!

This is a wonderful secluded, quiet resort. Great to act as a base to explore the islands. Beach is okay and is really an intertidal zone. Provides interest to those interested in nature but not very good for swimming. I would return.

Resort had hostel feel and has awesome pool, private beach, and breakfast. Roght Outside the premises it can be a little sketchy, hence security and locked gates at night. Overall I enjoyed my 2 days here and would return if presented the opportunity.

First time guest at Nordtropic

At first, we thought it would not meet our expectations because it’s not your usual hotel setting. But as we came to the staff and the resort, we felt comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent! But the one thing I like about the place is it’s peaceful, not overcrowded, and clean.

A really enchanting place with an infinity pool that overlooks the bay with boats floating with the tides... A real dream:)

Stayed for 5 days. All was good, clean room , pool, restaurant, good service however no hand soap in room despite repeated requests was bizarre.

I liked that it had an infinity pool, my bed was super comfortable, not extra firm, and that the staff was excellent. I wish I could have stayed longer but this place was an amazing choice, I'm glad I chose it.

The 2 BR suite were great and the pool as well. Food catered in their restaurant is a bonus with a variety to choose from breakfast to dinner that it saves our time of going out at the property

Small resort and the rooms and common areas were in great condition. The pool and restaurant was almost empty and we liked the privacy. The front desk can order a taxi to venture out. We visited the Cebu White Sand resort next door for the rooftop 801 bar. Spectacular 360 degree views.

Our room left a lot to be desired, esp. the bathroom. There was no separation between the toilet and the shower area, let alone a shower curtain! We stayed in Studio 3 which compared to old Motel 6 accommodations. I believe the rooms in the other building are more updated. The pool is stunning, and I love the outdoor area. The restaurant was great as well.

The staff very nice. Good to talk to and very helpful and friendly. Beautiful relaxing resort. Only 1 minute drive off main road, however it feels like a little patch of paradise with a wonderful veiw. Also thanks to the staff who prepared a tasty little breaky to go when we did a day trip and left nordtropic at 5.30am. Also the food menu is very nice and restaurant feels classy and styleish. I wish i had a collared shirt.

Pool was great but not many places nearby to go easily. Ocean is not good for swimming right outside the resort

Rooms very simple. Food was average. Staff were helpful and courteous. The hotel need a shuttle to transport guest from and to airport since it’s located inside; far from the highway. Cabs asked extra fare from passengers and carry little or no change that we ended up paying more. Vicinities going to the hotel was not good.

Nice place for a no frills diving trip

Good base for diving trips, right on the water and next to the boat dock. Access is a bit out of the and the facility is a bit tired, but overall adequate for a no-frills trip.Food at the restaurant is good, and the pool area well maintained.

A bit hard to get to this place. Taxis drivers often times did not know how to find it.

Short but sweet visit

The staff are nice and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is big. The beds are comfortable. We enjoyed the pool. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future

Lovely hotel and staff

Staff were really helpful and welcoming. Apartment was clean and the towels/bedding smelt amazing! Free water in the rooms which was great, and a good range of movie channels for when the odd storm came in! POOL is lovely, with a great view. Lifeguard on duty all the time. Nice ( if a bit small) strip of private beach. We got a bit of attention from the locals but all friendly/ some sales of trips etc, but the beach and facilities are totally private and felt really safe. It would be even better if there were other resorts nearby/bars etc on a larger strip of beach, but the hotel and staff were great. Helped us organise trips/taxis with no problems.

Very nice

Our reserved room was quite average. They were obliging to upgrade us for a reasonable addition. Beautiful ocean view. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Our bedroom air conditioner struggled. Overall wonderful service. Very helpful with transportation and outside arrangements.

Wife and friends were quite impressed with the facility and its amenities.

The hotel room is huge, clean and comfortable. The only problem is when you turn on the aircon in the dining and living area it drips water. My laptop was soaked in water which is not cool. Balcony, pool area and breakfast area are nice too

Adequate Resort

The pool is great. but the beach was less than satisfactory. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff in both the restaurant and hotel could improve on attentiveness to guest needs

There were some issues, but the customer service and communication was over the top. They made great efforts to accommodate me and fix any issues, but I would still choose another place next time

Pool divine

Lovely outdoor area. Room was a bit unusual and needed a good vaccum. Staff in the restuarant were fabulous. Front desk usually didnt attend to your needs.

Good for peaceful and quiet stay

We had a good stay in this hotel. It was very comfortable and clean. Staff was really accomodating. Our problem was just the location. It's far from the center so you have no choice but to eat in their pricey restaurant. There's a rent a car service though. You can ask the front desk.

Great Stay

We had a great time at the Nordtropic after moving from the city. Unless you are wanting the city experience I would recommend the Mactan Island resorts. If you want to still go to see the city it can be arranged. Hotels are a lot nicer and less expensive here.

Exceptional service, Clean and well-appointed room

It was one of the best resorts I've ever stayed. So happy our experience turned out to be perfect as it was supposed to be a treat to my family. All 3 rooms booked (as we were a family of 14) were so clean! Service was above and beyond. Food was delicious. They give unlimited bottled water. Infinity pool and beach was breathtaking. Will definitely go back and stay here for longer!

Fantastic Resort in Mactan Island

Nordtropic Resorts and Residences was clean, comfortable and relaxing for my family. Great infinity pool, wonderful view, and staff was exceptional. They helped us with our private whale shark activity and island hopping.

Thank you very much for your great service and hospitality. I cannot write down all the things that I thought were splendid about the Nordtropic Resort. It has a clean swimming pool with the beautiful sea nearby. I loved the pizzas served at the hotel restaurant. It had a crispy crust with melting cheese!! My wife also enjoyed the seafood there with the fantastic view. The hotel staffs were very kind and helpful as the other people commented. Probably, that is the most important part of any hotels, and the Nordtropic Resort has it. You better try it if you have a chance!!!

Nice hotel by the sea

Open and bright hotel with lovely shallow/deep end infinity pool, own harbour beach front shallow waters, breakfast/restaurant area next to the pool with tree shaded terrace. Suites have own balcony overlooking the garden/pool area with gorgeous views of the harbour and surrounding islands, great choice of island hopping tours, para gliding, banana speed boats, jetskis, diving schools in the area. German owned wellness spa on site.

Staff was amazing, food was good, pool was clean and nice. The staff helped us every day: got our drivers for us, helped us find restuarant & activities to do & event called my next hotel for me in order to get it ready for me. Great enviorment to vacation in.

Nice hotel

Had a great experience here. Nice Infiniti pool overlooking the beach. Staff was helpful on activities and where to eat nearby. The road entering the hotel is muddy and not finished making it impossible to walk across therefore a tricycle or cab is needed to get out. Otherwise I would recommend the hotel to anyone

Disappointing

I had read the reviews and was excited to stay but nothing lived up to our expectations....I booked a two room suite that was suppose to have a queen bed in one room and a queen and double in 2nd room....The queen in main room was a double and the double in the 2nd room was on the floor and not even on a bed stand....They don't show that in the photo section....One window in the kitchen was a one way window looking into the room....We couldn't look out but anyone in the hallway could look in....No tvs in the bedrooms...And it was advertised free breakfast ...So the first morning I looked for the buffet free breakfast and nothing...I asked waitress what are my choices for free breakfast and she said no choice...The chef will decide what your breakfast will be....Now I'm 53 yrs old and don't need a chef to tell me what I'm allowed to eat....Each day the free breakfast was rice, one egg and a small portion of meat.....Sooooo Disappointing...The beach was a very hard sand that hurt your feet to walk on....The only good feature was the pool.

Beautiful hotel with great staff and a nice pool!

This hotel was superb from the service to the rooms. The staff went out of their way to help and make you feel welcome. The swimming pool was excellent and clean. The rooms were large spaces and clean with very comfortable beds.

Better Than Expected

Initially I was sceptical as I booked late. The entrance to the property leaves you guessing but once inside the compound the newness and class of the hotel takes over. This is a new, spacious, luxurious holiday property, with huge spacious rooms (incl 2 x BR), excellent and accommodating staff, and the catering and food service team are first class. Must try the pork spare ribs, the prawns, seafood bisque etc etc. I enjoyed 5 days and 4 nights here, and intend to return this December as you simply do not achieve the personal connection in larger resorts with mass produced food, compact rooms, and carefree attitude, and you will pay 30% more. Nordtropic is in the style of a boutique small luxury resort, almost like your own home. The only issue I had was with the internet connection which kept on failing, but I think that is more a feature of Cebu than the resort. The entrance road needs to be levelled and sealed, as it is less than appealing, but everything changes once inside the compound. I would highly recommend this resort to families, or couples as the atmosphere for an escape and unwinding experience is fantastic. First time to Cebu, and what a great experience thanks to the staff.

The rooms are spacious. The staffs are really nice even over the phone. The place is clean. Their food was really good. This hotel is good for family or big family gathering, group of friends and also good for couples too.

There is no consent near the bed. Bad smell in the shower room.

グランドスイートに3日間滞在しました。 ＜施設・設備＞全体的に可愛いタイル調でまとまっていて素敵なホテルでした。ただ、清潔感はあるのですが、建て付けが悪かったり、設備が古かったりしたのが残念でした。(例えば、ドアや鍵が上手く開閉できない、カーテンフックが壊れたままになっている、リモコンの電池カバーが無くてテープで雑に留めてある、ボロボロのバスタオルが混ざっているなど。) ＜スタッフ＞穏やかな方が多く、とても親切に対応していただきました。 ＜サービス＞ ボトルウォーターやソープジェルなどは、無料で何個でも提供していただけました。タオル類などの交換や部屋のクリーニングはリクエストすればやってもらえます。 ランドリールームはありませんが、リクエストすれば1kgあたり200ペソで洗濯と乾燥をして、綺麗に畳んだ状態で返却していただけました。 ＜朝食レストラン＞食パン、ライス、サラダ、スクランブルエッグ、フィリピンスタイルの焼きそば、ソーセージ、肉料理(日替わり)、スイカ、水、オレンジジュース、コーヒー、でした。もう少し種類が多いと嬉しいです。 ＜プール＞幼児でも遊べるようなエリアと、本格的に泳ぎたい人のための深いエリアがあり楽しかったです。(深い方は2Mくらい？)また、夜はライトアップが美しかったです。 ＜プライベートビーチ＞砂浜は珊瑚礁で出来ているようで美しかったです。水質も良くて、魚やヒトデを見ることができ嬉しかったのですが、所々にゴミが漂流していたのが残念でした。 ＜周辺環境＞ 近いレストランで徒歩5分ほど。コンビニのようなお店までは徒歩10分ほどです。お店が充実しているエリアまでは徒歩15〜20分ですが、まだインフラが整備されておらず歩きづらいので、タクシーに乗ることをオススメします。(必ずメーターが稼働しているか確認すること。) ホテルの滞在を楽しみたい方には不向きだと思いますが、アイランドホッピングなどのツアーが目的の方にはコスパが良く向いているかもしれません。

성인4 투룸 너무 잘 지냈어요. 다들 친절했고.. 가성비 좋았지만 4-5성급 호텔 생각하면 실망할 수도요 위치도 걸어서 세이브모어까지 갈만하지만 길이 좋진 않아요.

One of the more calm and nice places to stay in Lapu-Lapu. Great value for money!

大通りにでるまでの道がとても悪いのが欠点だが、アーリーチェックアウトすると伝えると、サンドイッチを用意してくれたり、朝日のサンライズの動画を撮りたいと伝えると、海の桟橋まで、セキュリティの方が足下の暗い中、エスコートして下さったり、日本の様なホスピタリティーだった。

スタッフがとても親切。部屋は清潔で、過ごしやすかったです。 セブシティや近くの繁華街からは少し遠いのでタクシー利用は必須です。
