I like its quiet and serenity. Breakfast could be better.
Staff were amazing, lovely place, safe for foreigners and Julius is a great host at Reception and Thomas is a very reliable driver.
Really lovely hotel, staff are very helpful and friendly.
It passes for a 4 star hotel
It was very clean and in a quiet environment. I wish early check in could be incorporated without the hefty sum attached to it. Also more food options especially for dinner
I liked how clean the property was
This hotel is consistent. I have stayed here many times. I enjoy the convenience of the restaurant next door where the food quality is excellent and the atmosphere is pleasant. The hotel staff is great and I enjoy the breakfast buffet.
Good hotel clean and great service
Lofi vibes Hotel
Very discrete hotel with great low key vibes. Quite contemporary and minimalist in decor. Loved the art. Very clean room and bed and nice wardrobe. Laundry service was fast. Service of staff was good. Gym was vast, altho machines were old. Shame it only opened at 7am, would have preferred it to be open earlier. I liked the hotel and would come back. Less good: Shame safe was so low down. No face tissues in the room/available. Breakfast was good but a little limited and would be better to have more eating-height tables, rather than coffee tables. Limited areas for meetings with a group of customers since there’s only really one main mixed foyer area, which serves as a bar, reception area and hang out.

It's a boutique hotel. The rooms are not heavily furnished which gives a feel of lot of open space which is very good. The hotel's breakfast is minimal but it is good though can be further improved. The Gym accèss to Blu Cabana is always chaotic so need to improve that. The cardio equipments of the gym are ancient. Though, it's a fairly large gym. There has been an improvement in providing basic amenities which is good otherwise there were no amenities were provided.
Second to none.
Nigeria has many hotels that could learn from Nordic.
Good hotel
Beautiful place to stay
The restaurant, “BluCabanna” is on site and a great place to hang out with friends & family. Their menu is very extensive and delicious. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Home away from Home
A generally nice place to stay. The manager is exceptional, he could be better supported with more empathetic front desk staff.
Customer service, staff promptness, friendliness and professionalism
Great hotel, though access to it is a bit rough - the main road going to it has yet to be finished! Suffers from the usual Nigerian power fluctuations and quite patchy wifi, but the hotel itself is lovely, the food is superb and the service was great. Would happily stay there again.
Great hotel ( but no access road)
Great hotel. No access road. Breakfast can be improved . But total had a pleasant stay.
Overall good
Great hotel
Cunningly cutting costs on badly run?
It started off as refreshing alternative to the Sheraton and Hilton Transcorp, but now it’s just more of the same. On my previous stay, I booked and paid for a suite in advance and they discreetly checked me into a standard room. It took a call to the booking company to cancel for them to make the arrangements to move after the first night. This time I stayed in a deluxe room and I was cunningly charged twice. Still no sign of a response. They did not ask me to check or sign the bill of incidentals at checkout, it went straight into an envelope. The room itself was disappointing. Air conditioning was noisy but worked. There was no hot water during my stay. At night the music from the bar at reception kept me awake. I don’t understand their preference for giving you two single duvets on a king bed. Is it to save money? They have given up on maintenance. The ornamental clock did not work. Skirting boards were missing from the wall. The room is advertised as including slippers and robes, but they were not included. The soles of my feet turned grey between the shower and bed. The Hotels.com booking says the room comes with a bottle of wine — it didn’t. Service at the bar was poor, with monosyllabic staff. One insisted on escorting me back to my room with 3 soft drinks that I could have carried in my hands, let alone my bag. Check-in was good. Check-out was poor. The glum man at reception took over 10 minutes for a one night stay.
I had a terrible stay.. there’s no variety to the breakfast buffet and I was told I get a bottle wine per stay but i got 1first day and the second day zero and when I asked they argued and never gave me… again false advertisement to get customers and they never fulfill it which is stealing so this will be my last time staying here or ever introducing anyone to this hotel until they change their ways.
The Nordic Hotel experience was a pleasant surprise, will definitely be back.
Nordic Hotel's been a pleasant surprise, I'll definitely be back.
Everything was wonderful except the mattress was like sleeping on a board. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Still one of the best places to stay in Abuja, however, I had to beg for the upgrade and wine.
Best place to stay in Abuja with friendly staff.
it was a great stay
Enjoyed the stay!
Really lovely hotel in Abuja, so clean and really gives a true Scandinavian feel. Had a bit of WIFI issues in my room.
To be avoided
The quality and variety of the food at the breakfast was horrible. It took them 40min to bring an omelet and they did a mistake on it. Very poor choice of food at the buffet. The TV wasnt working in my room. I reported it twice. It wasnt fixed. For sure i ll not go there again. For me it doesnt deserve the 5 stars. It doesnt look like one.
Overall great
Staff just do not have a clue!
Customer service built for frustration
Hotel is comfortable and ok but the customer service is basically zero! Breakfast takes up to 40 mins to arrive which given that it is a very very simple basic menu is not acceptable. Report to management and despite the apologies changes nothing! The hotel.com gold rewards are not honoured (as is common with most hotels but hotels.com do not acknowledge that fact) with upgrades not offered even though they were bookable! Try to contact hotels.com priority line or chat assistance and consistently cut off or sent error message! Waste of time! Frustrating stay as easy to make this hotel a good one but they won’t try to improve so why return.
I felt very safe at the property. The BluCabana restaurant was very convenient and had a variety of dishes. The free breakfast could use some upgrading. But I highly recommend this for those of us who are looking for a quiet, restful environment.
The hotel is in an excellent location and great customer service from all staff they were very helpful and friendly, particularly Caleb on the front desk. Blue Cabana was conveniently located next door which was great for pool access and ordering food when needed.
A very well-run property with extra helpful staff. Very Scandinavian minimalist but quiet and well maintained.
Friendly Helpful hotel staff = pleasant time spent. :).
Thank you for being patient with me and aiding to my needs.
It's how a four-star hotel should be. :) Highly positive for going to become a five-star hotel. Eko hotel in Lagos used to be a five-star hotel but they do not follow Covid-19 Health protocol. And the price range of the food not only it was not authentic, but also overly priced--Tex Mex cooked by a caucasian? Staffs takes what they found to be convenient when they cleaned my room--My wooden spoon was stolen, my incense holder was stolen... People from the southern states are up to no good. Whereas, Abuja is safe, with less crime rate, and is very friendly. Only hope the drivers can follow the same road standards internationally. There are lanes, one must follow The Driver's manual and Traffic rules, before somebody get hurt. --A constructive reminder.
Good!
It was a very comfortable stay. I opted for early check-in at half the room rate and was upgraded due to the lack of room availability. Unfortunately, my room AC was not working, so I struggled with the heat. I was offered another room to sleep in at night after several attempts to fix the AC. I really enjoyed the restaurant close by. Overall, I did enjoy my stay.
Great hotel. Friendly and efficient staff. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable.
Best hotel I’ve stayed at in Abuja. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Friendly and efficient staff.
It was a nice and peaceful location. There was a lot of greenery surrounding the walkways outside the hotel. You have direct access to the beautiful pool and gym at the Blu Cabana restaurant next door. The room was super clean and there was really nice interior all throughout the hotel. There’s also complimentary breakfast with options for alternatives if you choose. Overall it was nice and cosy with a minimalist style that gave off this sort of peaceful vibe.
One of the best places to stay in Abuja.
I had stayed a night at this hotel before and it seemed good (late check-in, early check out). The hotel itself is very nice looking, you get water in the room everyday, the staff are nice but not helpful. (They literally didn’t resolve any of my issues- they were just nice that’s it) The breakfast is very limited so chances of getting the order wrong are slim - on one day, it took them 1hr to bring my breakfast out (croissant and scrambled eggs) and when they brought it out, not only was it the wrong thing, they also didn’t apologise for bringing it late. When I complained to the assistant manager he said they had run out that’s why I was given something else (with telling me or explain to me why my food was late prior to complaining.) the assistant manager promised a compensation but nothing was offered. The AC in the room also stopped working so I slept in the heat for 2 days. They did offer a room change at about 8pm (I had reported the AC at about 10:45am) but there was no point as I was on my way out to be back for 12:30am and checking out the next morning. It didn’t make any sense to move rooms at that time
Great ambience, courteous staff, very relaxing atmosphere. I still felt like I was in the US.
Best place to stay in Abuja
Nordic Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Abuja! Amazing & friendly service, great decor, and a relaxing atmosphere.
Excellent hotel, courteous staff, superb service. The Nordic has become my default hotel destination in Abuja. Its environment is conducive for work, leisure and rest.
The property is beautiful. The price is great for all the amenities that is available. The environment is quiet and I felt very safe. I enjoyed my stay.
Good security, good/decent buffet breakfast with slight changes on the daily menu, great staff service. Only downside is that things are on the expensive side, but overall a good hotel. Will surely stay again.
Room great, but restaurant needs some help
The room was fresh, clean, minimalist... all good. The dining facilities, however, should be improved. First, there was trash in the parking lot (left over from take-out guests the night before, one would assume). When I pointed it out, everyone said "the gardener will clean it later." The breakfast choice was sparse... one type of bread (white), no granola/muesli, no egg choices (boiled only). So, very basic.
I've stayed at the Nordic twice for work and have had a great experience. It is clean, the wifi is fast, the good is good, there's a pool and gym that are also in good condition. Highly recommend!
Nordic Hotel Abuja
The Nordic is set in an amazing complex that is quite unique in terms of hotel, pool, gym and eating arrangements. Firstly, the hotel is set in lovely surroundings aligned to a tranquil setting that is free form any traffic noise. The hotel is of superb design, modern in look and and the rooms are of a very high standard, both from a design and fittings perspective.
Hidden gem in the Abuja hospitality landscape!
Great stay at Nordic Hotel. Comfortable room and excellent service. Ample gym & swimming pool. Pleasant atmosphere.
Very comfortable boutique hotel with personalized service. Rooms are spacious with Scandinavian inspired interior design. Minor improvements are needed—such as branded toiletries. The lobby area displays artwork from up and coming Nigerian artists and provides a comfortable working space. Hotel staff is customer and service oriented. Neighboring Blue Cabana Club has excellent Lebanese cuisine. Hotel would benefit from greater vertical integration with Blue Cabana, including room service menues and training of Blue Cabana staff in international service standards. Breakfast needs to improve, and is not tailored to an international clientele. A Scandinavian inspired theme in a different setting would be more fitting.
I liked that the staff was exremely helpful. The hotel itself was in a nice and quite area.
Nice but could be even better
The rooms are nice and clean and everything works but when travelling on business it would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in your room. The breakfast could also be vastly improved. It is now a buffet but really limited choice and after I ate the scrambled eggs my stomach was not right until the next day. I'd eaten nothing else. Service in Blu Cabana where the breakfast is is poor at best and the food for evening meals is very average. With just a little more investment this place could be great
Nice practical hotel!
Loved Nordic! Staff were very helpful and it was in a nice quiet area of town with lots of privacy!
Excellent stay at the nordic hotel.
Professional, friendly and attentive staff. Clean, reliable and comfortable accommodations. I felt safe and secure. The uber had no problem finding the hotel given its location next door to the Blu Cabanna Beach Club. Quiet and relaxing location. A bit far from nighttime options but uber is inexpensive and reliable.
Great hotel. Happy with my staythere and will recommend it highly.
Best place to stay in Abuja
The Nordic hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Abuja (absolutely the best hotel around). The lobby and rooms are well decorated, everything is kept very clean, the hotel is quiet / relaxing, and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Clean but unnecessarily more expensive
Though the room was very clean and I had many free bottles of water as I wanted, the price is just on the high side. There is nothing special or outstanding that should warrant that high price. There were mosquitoes in the room and towels didn't look very clean.
Comfortable but basic
The Nordic is a great hotel to stay in Abuja. My room was minimal but comfortable. The compound is secure but does not feel like a fortress. The pool area is a nice place to relax. Don't expect too many extras but well worth a stay.
Beautiful space with amazing, friendly, helpful staff!
Only let down by the fact i arrived at 7 am ( after a long overnight flight) and couldn't get into by room until 3pm.
Nice Hotel
Was in Abuja for a conference and wanted a decent hotel within 20 mins of the conference centre. The minimalist theme was appealing, plus the excellent Blue Cabana spa, gym and restaurant adjacent to the hotel wad a great place to relax. Front desk staff were fantastic, especially Ayo and Abuchi. Although the minimalist theme works, the rooms could have included a coffee maker and the sharp bed edges need to be made blunt to avoid injury to lower legs when walking by.
Does not deserve the high price
Been disappointed with many things, especially the following: limited breakfast for a high priced hotel. No buffet just the same limited chioce every day.
The bathroom drainage gradient does not allow for water to drain very quickly. Thereby allowing water to get to toilet areas. Suggestion: Raise the entry elevation to about (1/2”) higher that the bath/shower floor.
Had to request a fridge - could have been offered. Toilet roll was being rationed Lovely helpful staff Excellent helpful drivers. This is very important when in a foreign country. Very responsive snd always went the extra mile to be flexible and to assist I love the Nordic - my Abuja hotel of choice
An even better stay than last time!
Another great stay in the Nordic! Warm welcome and helpful staff as always. The minor issues regarding things such as how to make payment for room service when it first opened have all been ironed out, and there’s now unlimited free bottled water plus very reasonable prices for services such as laundry. Blu Cabana (next door) serves a varied and tasty menu for lunch and dinner, although the breakfast selection could do with being a little more varied if possible. Access to the fab gym is a positive benefit, and overall it was another wonderful stay in a cool, clean and calm environment. Well done Nordic - I’ll be coming back again very soon.
Amazing study, very clean, great staff, amazing restaurant
Nice hotel, close to mall and Jabi Lake
Beautiful clean nice gym and spa. Staff extremely accomodating especially Abraham the manager.
very comfortable, a little spare, but easy and a helpful staff
Great Hotel with Excellent Staff
The Hotel is unique and truly a home away from home. The staff are very helpful including helping to arrange room decorations for my dads birthday surprise. Enjoyed every bit of my stay and will definitely recommend Nordic Hotel anytime.

It’s clean, quiet, respectful professional staff, and alongside the Blucabana restaurant, provides good value for money within a 10 minute drive from Wuse 2 and Central Abuja.
