Quaint hidden gem!

The lady who attends the place is very sweet. The room I had didn't have hot water (unless it was user error). However, it's definitely worth the price. If you're accustomed to high end hotels this is obviously not for you but if you are flexible it's worth a try. Note that the address is unique and is not easily found in a GPS because the 100 is part of the name of the place and not the address. You may have to ask and local to direct you. One last point is that there was a nice surprise in that 7th st, which is about two blocks from this location, is a restaurant strip which ends with a shopping center.

Wasn't what i expected...

My card was supposed to be charged for every meal i placed on order and besides they stole money from my safe...I wasn't happy about so i have to check out immediately into anoither hotel without anyone's consent.

The hotel is ok if you stay one night only. There is no much places to eat only one restaurant at the corner. Very quiet place you almost don't see people walking ....is quite scared if you want to go out at evening/night.

Nice, funky neighborhood and great innkeeper

We were very happy with our stay though our room did not have internet access. Lee was very accomodating and we used the main house day and night for internet needs. The Melville neighborhood is a funky village with restaurants and shops of all kinds within 5 minute walk. All should be aware that Johannesburg and even Melville are high crime areas and all properties have razor electrified wire and guards - a bit scary - but we adapted. Breakfasts were wonderful and this was a great value for the money. The outside of the property is a bit run down and needs work and paint.

同地域の他ゲストハウスに比べて価格が安く、しかもサービスがとてもよく、大変気に入りました。スタッフはとてもフレンドリーで、しかも非常にプロフェッショナルでした。朝食は前日に希望のメニューを一覧から選ぶことができ、大変満足しています。勤務スタッフがたった一人で取り仕切っているので、彼女が出かけているときが少し不便でした。また泊まりたいと思います。

You Get What You Pay For

Opzich was het best okay, ontbijt was heerlijk en de bedden ook, maar belangrijke dingen voor Johannasburg zoals de slotten op deuren en ramen waren van zeer lage kwaliteit en de kluis werkten helemaal niet. Locatie was okay. Wel leuk was de gratis wifi in de kamer en zoals ik al heb gezegd, de heerlijke ontbijt. Lindiwe, de gastvrouw, was best charmant. Tot slot, voor het geld is het best okay. You get what you pay for.

Komfortabelt og rolig

Vi ble anbefalt dette nydelige gjestehuset av venner, og var kjempefornøyd. Vi hadde det største rommet, men de andre rommene var også veldig komfortable. Store senger, fine, rene bad, god frokost. God service ved alle forespørsler om hjelp til ulike ting. Et godt tips er å ta kontakt på forhånd hvis man trenger transport fra flyplassen, de har gode avtaler med hyggelige sjafører, som også kan kjøre en rundt til andre severdigheter. Melville er en rolig og hyggelig bydek, med en liten hovedgate med hyggelige restauranter og kafeer. Pizza på ANT anbefales, sushi restauranten kan man hoppe over! Men gjestehuset er vel verd et besøk!
