Location is superb. Shops and restaurants right at doorsteps. A lot of travel agencies around. Shop around for good deals on tours. Breakfast is great because the staff was attentive n remembers I want sunny side up eggs, ketchup and extra serviettes. He does that every morning after my first request. The cave room 101 on ground floor is windowless and can hear conversations from lobby. Luckily I'm one of those that can sleep with noise and don't mind windowless room. Breakfast terrace can view some hot air balloons. Right beside hotel is a Chinese restaurant.

This is not a luxury property, but it has character and charm and a fantastic staff! It's in perhaps the best location in Goreme because you can walk everywhere and it's in the flat section of the city. The staff arranged everything for us from airport shuttle, tours, and our hot air balloon flight. Let them take care of these things as that is their specialty. The rooms are older because it's an old cave, so "modern luxury" doesn't fit here. But it's clean, comfortable, and safe. The breakfast in the morning is very good and makes this value hotel even more valuable.

Our room didn't resemble the photo, and the room's accommodations were basic. No AC in the room, but never needed it as room always stayed cool, even when 90 outside, never even had to turn on the fan. We loved how we could see the baloons in the mornings from our room. No fridge in room, but you get full 24hr access to the dining hall and kitchen. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The entire staff is extremely helpful and kind. Excellent wifi coverage throughout the building with multiple hotspots, with excellent speeds. I had no issues working remotely from here. The staff is what makes this place so great. No problems with English. Staff was very accomodating and were huge helps advising on and putting together last minute tours and activites for us. Breakfasts were Excellent, and the views from the AC controlled dining hall, and the open air terrace were breathtaking. Eating breakfast on the terrace on a cool morning while watching the balloons was truly amazing. The hotel's in a prime location in the center of town. We really enjoyed our stay, and had many amazing experiences that we'll be talking about for years.

Must stay in Moon Cave if u came to Cappadocia

Just simply scrolling Hotels.com and book for 3 nights and Moon Cave Hotel appeared. I wanna said if u come to Cappadocia u must stay here. We arrived 4am in the morning with the night bus from Antalya. The temperature is -5c when we arrived. Luckily the Moon Cave just 3mins walk from the bus station and allowed us to stay in lobby before our hot air balloon flight at 6am. Location is perfect, near to town, restaurants, mini markets, shopping, museums... The bed is very comfortable and the room is spacious. We can even see the hot air balloon flying pass our window. Perfect basic breakfast served in the morning. Last but not least, the reception in the hotel is very attentive and helpful. He even allowed us to have early check in on the arriving day. Just a small complaint about the people who staying in hotel during our stays was talking loud out middle of the night till morning 4am.. I had complained to the receptionist but isn't help much.

Above and beyond

I checked into Blue Moon five minutes about Turkey's latest COVID-19 restrictions kicked in. That meant there were no open restaurants where I could go for dinner. After explaining the restrictions to me in English, the desk clerk very kindly ordered food delivery from a nearby restaurant and brought it to my room. It's the little above-and-beyind things that make a small place like this stand out in a town full of similar options.

We’ve stayed there just for two days but I can honestly say that it was really good. Location is perfect, center of the Göreme. It has a terrace which has a good view of the city and balloons. In addition manager’s so kind and service’s a good one... I can recommend you to stay there.

Nice Hotel and Surroundings

The hotel is really comfortable, the receptionists are friendly and helfpful. It’s located in the center of Goreme and surrounded by souvenir shops and eating place. It’s also only 15 minutes walk to the sunset and sunrise point. Nice.

Back to Kapadokia.

I find it hard to rate this hotel between 4's and 5's. First, it is an incredibly good location in Goreme; at the center of everything. Second, it was definitely a "5" for value. It does not have the encompassing view of the "fairy castles" that you get from the more expensive hotels. the trade off is that you can find everything in town in a 5-minute level ground walk. If you are used to 4 and 5 star hotel amenities this is not your best choice. If you want to feel like family in the local culture, this is a good choice.

Terrible service, hostile manager

I booked this motel one month in advance and requested airport pickup for 20 TL. I had a night flight so I landed in cappodocia at 9:50pm. The owner cemil emailed me back right away to confirm the airport pick up. When I landed at night, there was no one to pick me up. I called and At first cemil was apologetic and said he will call his driver and will call me back 15 mins later he calls back and said someone will get me. No one came. He calls back 15 mins later and said the shuttle is full so I'm assuming he was just calling a shuttle company for me. Then he tells me to take a taxi and I said no, it costs 120 TL. He told me to put the taxi driver on the phone and he will bargain. He got it down to 90 TL and I said to him, I'm not paying for that and he asks why not? I told him it was his mistake that he forgot and I should not have to pay an extra 70 liras for his mistake. That's when cemil got hostile and yelled and blamed me, a guest, that I didn't remind him the day before to pick me up. He asks me when I sent the email and I told him a month ago. I still had his confirmation email saved. He kept saying why didn't u remind me? I'm a busy guy, everyone always email the day before, why didn't you do it? I told him it is not my responsibility to remind him when he CONFIRMED in writing. I wasn't even that upset until he started blaming me for his screw up. He ended up picking me up at midnight and his attitude turned me off from staying a 2nd night even though I prepaid.

Good price, good location.

The room was comfortable and had a great location in the middle of the village. Restaurants and shops are all in walking distance. Breakfast was mediocre and the hotel was very loud and creaky at night. The room was a little dingy with the wall outlets coming out of the wall and the bathroom didnt seem finished, but for the price this was understandable.

Friendly staff & wonderful surroundings. Basic rooms with lovely breakfast on the roof terrace with amazing views of surrounding cave homes & pensions. The manager Cemel is so helpful with a good command of English. Wifi available. 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the well kept Motel & kept well informed of all the trips available, how to get around with a personal guide available too. Cemel even offered a ride in his car to the Whirling Dervishes eve.

The Staff, Location, and Affordable

The room was clean and well kept, but it looks outdated yet new. There is no A/C, mini-fridge, and other amenities associated with a hotel. However, this hotel meets my needs perfectly since I visited in late April 2014 and the weather was not too hot. The hotel is located in the middle of town and easy to walk everywhere. The front staff was very friendly, helpful, and always smile at all hours. If you need a clean room to sleep, I highly recommended this place when you are in Cappacodia.

Great value for your money

Facilities are basic but with hot shows, wifi signals are very weak. However, can;t complain too much given the location and cost.

Over a 2 nt stay the 2 gentlemen who happened to be on duty were super; hotel very centrally located near bus station, bars rests etc; if flying out from Nevişrhir airport transfers available for TL 20; modern bathroom bedroom spartan but for the price definetly one can't beat it

Great Location.

Two minutes walk from Goreme Bus Station. Walking distance to Open Air Muzeum, Zemi Valley and Rose Red Valley Hiking Trails. Supermarkets, pharmacy, shops, cafés and restaurant surrounds the hotel. We arrived at 0900hrs and were immediately checked in by the owner after serving us tea and coffee.Breakfast was great, with free flow of tea or Turkish coffee. Staff were friendly and allowed us to keep our luggages at the hotel whilst waiting for the overnight bus to Pamukkhale. Would stay again at this hotel.

Our getaway to Turkey

The hotel was very nice and the service was the best in recent memory . A simple breakfast was served in the morning and the staff did everything possible to make the stay enjoyable. Service and quality are easy five stars and this is not given lightly.

Employees were very friendly and helpful. Location is very central, but at times maybe a bit noisy for some of the rooms. all-in-all a very good experience.

Almost perfect!

I think this hotel is probably the best mid-price hotel in the town of Goreme. The rooms are made everyday, sparking clean, and comfortable. Moreover, the staff are always making efforts to satisfy guests.The hotel has been recently renovated and well equipped. It is located just close to the bis terminal (otogar) and easy to find.

Lovely owner, not very comfortable

The Blue Moon owner was extremely nice and hospitable. He even drove me to a nearby town when he found out that I wanted to explore. However, the wifi did not work in my room (although the owner offered multiple times to let me move to a new room if I wanted) and the beds were not very comfortable. It was also quite warm and there was significant noise from the street. However, that seemed to be a one off occasion as Goerme is normally very quiet at night. All in all, while it wasn't the most comfortable, the hotel was very reasonably priced and the management was super, super accommodating, which I really appreciated. He also spoke great English.

Great location with Cave Cappadocia style hotel

Stayed in Blue Moon Hotel in May 2013 for 2 nights right in Goreme town.Hotel provided free good breakfast with baguette, cheese, jam, tea or coffee. The room is based on the cave concept with mininium facilites - a double bed and attached bathroom with hot / cold shower but without TV, refigerator and cupboard. Just hooks to hang your clothes. Coffee and tea are on the house throughout the day & night.

Close to bus terminus and centre of town

I chose a cave room. Main problem was that there was insufficient light in main room. Bathroom/toilet was spotless and well lit. Breakfast was buffet style and served on rooftop terrace. Reception/owner very friendly and welcoming. I would stay there again and would recommend it to other single travellers. Cave rooms may be a bit small for couples though

Eksiklere rağmen memnun kaldığım göreme Nomads cav

Hotel çalışanlarının ilgisinden çok memnunum. Odalarda klima olmaması çok büyük bir eksiklik. Çok sıcaktı. Tek kişilik yatakta karyola yaylarında problem vardı.

Otel girişinde Can bey bizimle ilgilendi. Çok kibar ve yardımsever idi. Çok memnun kaldık.

L’hôtel est situé au centre de Göreme à 5 minutes de la gare routière. Les chambres sont confortables et bien agencées. La salle de bain fonctionnelle, mais qui mérite un petit rafraîchissement. Les petits-déjeuners sont copieux et très bons. Le personnel est formidable. Toujours prêt à nous aider et à fournir les informations indispensables au bon séjour. Une mention spéciale à Madame Raya qui parle turque, mais également le russe. Отель расположен в центре Гереме, в 5 минутах от автовокзала. Комфортабельные и хорошо оборудованные номера. Ванная комната функциональна, но заслуживает небольшого освежения. Завтраки обильные и очень хорошие. Персонал внушительный. Всегда готовы помочь нам и предоставить информацию, необходимую для хорошего отдыха. Особо следует упомянуть мадам Рая, которая говорит не только по-турецки, но и по-русски.

Otelin temizliği ve sunulan imkanlar konusunda biraz daha gayret gösterilebilir. Fakat personelin sıcak ve güleryüzlü tutumu durumu kurtarıyor. Herşeye rağmen otel güzeldi iyi bir deneyimdi diyebilirim.

Ailemle gitmiş olduğumu Kapadokya tatilimizde Blue Moon Hotel de konakladık. Bize her konuda destek olan Kazım bey e özellikle çok teşekkür ediyoruz. Otelin konumu çok güzel sabah balonları görebiliyorsunuz, şehir merkezinde olduğu için her türlü ihtiyacınızı rahatça karşılıyorsunuz.

Bize biraz ufak bir oda verdiler ne buzdolabı ne de eşya dolabı vardı. Temiz olduğunu hiç düşünmüyorum, battaniyede, yatakta, lavaboda lekeler vardı, ısınmada bazen sıkıntılar yaşadık. Onun haricinde kahvaltıyı hazırlayan hanımefendinin sayesinde beklentimizin üzerinde bir kahvaltı vardı.

Güzel bir hafta gecirdik ilgi ve alakalari cok iyiydi. Fiyat performans olarak tercih ettik beklentilerimizi karsiladi. Temizlik kahvalti oda konforu gayet iyiydi. Otel tam merkezde cevreye ulaşım çok kolay.

We booked a room at Blue Moon last minute, mainly for the open terrace to see the balloons in the morning, and it didn't disappoint. It was a nice, memorable stay. One thing we noticed was that the website doesn't seem to specify what room you chose on your reservation, so they put us in another room when we got there. The staff was very helpful and ready to change us to another room, but we were happy with the room they gave us. You could step right out of the window onto the terrace. The room was clean and the bedding was soft and comfortable, although the towels were extremely stiff and scratchy, typical of many hotels. Breakfast was a nice varied spread in the Turkish style (lots of cheeses and bread, sausages similar to hot dogs, olives, tomatoes, spreads for the bread, etc). The second day, fewer people were staying in the hotel so we got large individual breakfast plates that had been plastic wrapped for cleanliness. Everything was very sanitary and they provided masks and gloves for us.

Yorumları önemseyen biri olarak ben de yardımcı olmak isterim. Personel ilgiliydi. Oda temizdi, konfor olarak idare ederdi. Kahvaltıda çok bir beklentiniz olmasın açık büfe deniyor ama normal kahvaltı tabağı gibiydi. Genel olarak konaklama ihtiyacınızı görür.

Excelente ubicación!

Solo estuvimos 12 hs. Regresamos de una excursion a las 6 pm. aprox y nos fuimos a las 7 am del dia siguiente. Todo muy bien, limpio y amplia la habitacion. Vista a la calle, muy linda.

Otel yer olarak çok merkezi bir noktadaydı . Kahvaltı ve işletme sahipleri gayet iyiydi . Yataklarda ciddi sıkıntı vardı , ağrı içinde uyandım . Bir de oda sıcaklığı konusunda sıkıntı yaşadım. Dışarısı -5 derecelerde idi fakat yine de otel hazırlıklı olmalı idi diye düşünüyorum.

Good balance between (low)price and (standard)quality. Only disappointment for us was the breakfast lady because she never smiled neither did she greet us (back).

Un hotel typique les 2 proprietaires sont jeunes, à l'écoute, friendly, helpful, l'hôtel à une très bonne situation à 2 minute de l'otogare et à 15 a 20 min de l'open muséum. Vous pouvez prendre vos excursions à partir de l'hôtel , un des propriétaire est pilote de la mongolfiere, Le circuit vert et la mongolfiere à faire absolument. Le circuit rouge pas intéressant.

Fueron amables pero la comunicación y el entendimiento fue dificil aún hablando en inglés. No cuenta con servicio de habitaciones;hay que pagarlo a parte. No había frigorífico. El agua se cortó varias veces. A su favor decir que el día del check-out pudimos dejar nuestro equipaje hasta la hora de coger el bus.

Hotels.com uzerinden yaptigimiz rezervasyonumuz (ucretini odemis olmamiza ragmen) uzerine, otel rezervasyonumuzu kabul etmemis ve bize herhangi bir bildirimde bulunmamistir. Biz otele vardigimizda otelde oda kalmadigini ogrendik ve otele alinmadik. Otel calisanlari ve sahibi bu konu uzerinde hic bir musuliyet kabul etmediler, bu da yetmezmis gibi son derece saygisizca bir yaklasimda bulunarak esimle uzerimize yurumuslerdir. Kesinlikle şok oldugum bir deneyimdi.
